The sudden appearance of the pillar of light alerted everyone. Ben knew it meant Nirvana had been found by the enemy. He wanted to rush to the pillar of light's location but then he observed Wendy acting strangely.
"N-no, it's my fault. It's because I healed Jellal. He knows Nirvana's location, it must be him. It's my fault." Wendy said, blaming herself.
"Shit!" Ben cursed as he flashed over to Wendy.
He extended his hands in front of her.
"Sleep!" He yelled.
Ben cast a Sleep Spell on Wendy and she fell asleep. This confused everyone else, except Hibiki.
"So you know about Nirvana." Hibiki said.
"I know a lot about it, including it's effect. Switching light and darkness." Ben replied.
"What do you mean?" Lucy asked.
"Nirvana is affecting people's hearts. It turns evil into good and the opposite, or rather it switches good and evil. But it hasn't been completely activated, so it only affects those who have their hearts waver which makes them weak to Nirvana's effect." Hibiki explained.
"Is that the reason he put Wendy to sleep?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, if she remained like that, she will be affected by Nirvana." Hibiki answered.
"Magic that affects physique can always be blocked. But magic that affects the heart and psyche is very difficult and almost impossible to block. The only way to defend yourself from it is having a strong heart." Ben informed her as he made 7 clones.
"You guys stay with Wendy. I will head to Nirvana's location and destroy it." Ben told his clones.
The clones nod and Pride carried Wendy. Ben also told Bella to stay with her because what he's about to do is very dangerous.
"Hmm? Where's Erza?" Lucy asked.
"She ran off after Wendy was put to sleep." Hibiki informed her.
"Don't worry about her, she can protect herself. You two need to be careful because the enemies have found Nirvana. We don't know what they can do with it and what they've planned after finding it. However, they will surely try to get rid of us. My clones will take care of Wendy and the cats. You can stay with them if you want, but you still need to be careful." Ben instructed Hibiki and Lucy before he left.
Ben ran in the direction of the light pillar because he knew it was where Nirvana was located. He was determined to destroy it and give Roubaul some peace of mind. It was his duty and his way to repay the old man's kindness.
But suddenly, Ben was attacked on his way to Nirvana. He sensed the air around him being twisted and felt danger come his way quickly. Without thinking, Ben teleported into the sky.
The trees below him were suddenly cut into many pieces. He just evaded some invisible slashes that came from the front. Ben looked to the front and saw someone with black and white hair walk towards him slowly as he falls on the ground.
"What a surprise, you can evade my invisible scythe. I must say, you're as strong as father mentioned." The guy, Midnight, said.
"Midnight of the Oracion Seis, huh? I don't have time to deal with you, so leave before you regret it." Ben glared at him.
"Heh, you have a big mouth. Why don't you make me leave if you can?" Midnight asked, challenging Ben.
"So be it." Ben suddenly appeared in front of Midnight.
Ben threw a punch at Midnight but then his punch was sent to the side and failed to hit his target.
"Reflector? You have some good magic." Ben said calmly even though his punch failed to hit Midnight.
"Oh? You know?" Midnight asked, curiously.
"Of course, I am proud of my knowledge about magic. Reflector is something I know too and I know exactly how to counter it. Like this." Ben said as he raised his right hand that had been covered in a dark purple aura in front of him.
Midnight suddenly disappeared but then he was seen elsewhere, far to the left of where he had been standing.
"You know I'm a Sun Dragon Slayer and light is one of the elements I control. If you want to create an illusion, don't use light to do it. I will see through it easily." Ben told Midnight who laid flat on the ground.
This Midnight was an illusion made by twisting the light. It would fool other people but Ben knew light better than anyone. Besides, he had a strong magic sense, so he could determine the location of the real Midnight.
Midnight felt himself become real heavy when Ben raised his hand. It made fall flat on the ground and unable to stand anymore. He never felt 40 times the gravity before which meant his weight also increased 40 times.
"Your magic has a flaw, and that is your inability to use it in more than one place. If you use it elsewhere, you can't protect yourself with it. That's why it will be useless against me as I can see through your illusion and determine your real location." Ben explained as he approached Midnight.
Midnight tried to get up but the gravity pressure was too strong for him. Ben arrived in front of Midnight and put his right hand to the guy's face.
"As I told you before, I don't have time to deal with you, so sleep!" Ben said.
Ben cast a Sleep Spell on Midnight and the guy instantly fell asleep. He could punch the guy but it might be reflected because the distortion shield is still active. That's why he used the Sleep Spell by touching Midnight's head so it won't be reflected.
*GURAGURAGURA*
Right after Ben put Midnight to sleep, there was a strong tremor. The ground beneath him is lifted high before it starts to crumble. He grabbed Midnight and leaped away to save them.
Ben looked up and saw a gigantic structure coming out of the ground. It had 6 massive and tall spider-like legs that made it stand very high. A lot of buildings can also be seen above the gigantic structure.
"Damn, they've activated the city." Ben muttered in frustration.
Brain sped his plan up after Ben threatened him before. He felt that his plan will fail if he didn't activate Nirvana before Ben found him. So he moved quickly and defeated Jellal who opened the Nirvana gate while sending Midnight to confront Ben.
He also defeated Erza who came looking for Jellal and threw them off the city. Brain predicted Midnight would lose to Ben because he knew Ben was stronger based on their previous fight. But he never expected Midnight to be defeated this quickly.
"Damn, that brat caused me to panic and rush everything. But finally, Nirvana has been activated. Now, let's start my plan immediately before he comes and ruins everything." Brain said.
Brain considered Ben to be the biggest threat instead of Jura, a Wizard Saint. Their previous fight and last encounter caused Brain to be wary of him. Even more so after he effortlessly defeated Midnight.
However, his biggest threat was puking right now as he clings on Nirvana's left leg. He tried to climb Nirvana so he could destroy it from the inside. But he forgot that he is a Dragon Slayer and will suffer motion sickness.

Ben fell to the ground and cursed, "Fuck this curse."
