Ben found himself in a foreign place that has some floating islands after being pulled up by that mysterious force. There are even some floating rivers around the floating islands. He was currently standing on one of these floating islands.

"Wait! Where's everyone else? They should have been pulled up too." Ben said as he looked around.

There's no one around him, he is alone on this small floating island that only had rocks on it. He assumed they would be on the other islands, so he took his binoculars out of his spatial storage mark. But he felt something strange after activating the storage mark.

"What is this uneasiness I feel when I use my magic power?" Ben asked.

Ben has high sensitivity about magic power. So he can't ignore the feeling because it might be something dangerous.

"A.I Chip, did something happen to my body?" Ben asked the A.I.

[Checking...no problem has been discovered with your body. However, your magic power is slowly being restored. The magic power you used to activate the mark hasn't been restored.]

"What?! That mark didn't require a lot of magic power to activate, you know? And you're telling me it hasn't been restored? I should have regained it almost instantly." Ben exclaimed.

[That's what's currently going on.]

Ben frowned and was confused. But then his eyes widened before he closed them again. He tried to sense the magic around him and was shocked by the result.

"What happened here? There's almost no Ethernano in the surrounding area. I never found a place like this during my year long journey." Ben asked with a shocked expression.

Now he knew that his magic power was being restored slowly. It's because the Ethernano here was very thin so his body can't absorb it as fast as usual. This also means he can't use his magic as he pleases.

"I need to converse my magic power and not use magic carelessly. It would be very bad if I ran out of magic power in a dangerous situation. That means I can only rely on my body and magic items." Ben said as he unsheathed Pendragon.

Ben looked at Pendragon and put it on his back. This sword is very sharp and strong even if it wasn't infused with magic. So he should be able to converse his magic by solely relying on his physical strength and swordsmanship.

Then he looked through the binoculars for any sign of his friends. He looked at every floating island in the vicinity and also the main island below him. But he didn't spot anyone he knew, so he decided to look somewhere else.

"I hope my sisters and Mira are fine. Elfman and the others should be able to take care of themselves." Ben said as he took Light Runner out.

Light Runner is powered by a lacrima, so it won't drain his magic power. The lacrima itself can also be used to run the car at high speed for a full day without being recharged. And if it ran out of fuel, all he needed to do was replace the lacrima. He had 3 spares, so there was nothing to worry about.

Ben then transformed the car into plane mode to get off the floating island. The car had it's wheels turn 90 degrees down, so the wheels became propellers. Light Runner was essentially a drone now.

After descending from the floating island, Ben drove off. He had seen a small town in the distance with his binoculars, so he will head there to gather information. That's what he really needed at the moment in this foreign place.

After driving for 15 minutes, Ben finally reached the town. He stored Light Runner before entering the town to avoid attracting attention. He put a white furred jacket with a hoodie on and covered his face with a cloth mask.

Ben walked around the town while trying to get information on his current location. Then an hour later, he learned something surprising. This is not Fiore, Ishgar or even Earthland. This is Edolas, another world.

'What the hell? Did I die and appear on another world again? But I still look the same, so I shouldn't have died, right?' Ben thought.

[No, you haven't died, don't worry.]

'Phew. That's a relief. I've only lived my 2nd life for 7 years. I don't want to die again anytime soon.' Ben thought.

He then resumed gathering information while also gathering money. He pickpockets people and took their money because he really needs it now. This is a different world and they don't use jewels here.

After getting a lot of money, Ben walked into a bar and gave money to a bartender. It was clear he wanted to buy information, so the bartender told him to head to a room in the back. Ben did so and encountered a middle-aged man who will give him the information he paid for.

He asked a few questions and was informed that using magic is forbidden. Not only that, guilds were outlawed by the kingdom. Almost all guilds were disbanded except one, Fairy Tail. Ben was surprised that this world had a version of the Fairy Tail guild.

'Is this some kind of parallel universe? Hmm, that means the people in this universe's Fairy Tail are not the ones I know. So there would be no point searching for it because it's not my guild. I need to focus on searching for my sisters and friends.' Ben thought.

Ben then asked about this universe's magic because it really bugged him. Magic can be used in this universe even if it's not easy, but they forbid it's usage, so it's quite strange. The man was confused why Ben asked this question but still explained why as he had been paid to do so.

The man explained all about magic in this universe. In this universe, humans can't store magic, so they need to use tools powered by lacrima. The only creatures that can use magic are Exceeds.

Ben was surprised after seeing a picture of Exceeds that look similar to Bella, Carla and Happy. He was even more surprised when he found out what magic the Exceeds use.

'So Bella, Carla and Happy are Exceeds, huh? They should be the Exceeds from Earthland. I didn't read about it in the Magic Library. I should have learned more about magical creatures, not just magic types.' Ben thought.

Ben assumed the 3 Exceeds were born on Earthland. Well, humans exist in both universes, so Exceeds must exist in both universes too. It never crossed his mind that the Exceeds were from Edolas.

The man then resumed explaining and said that Exceeds were considered to be gods here. It's because they can store magic power in their bodies, just like people from Earthland. The humans here can't store magic power in their bodies naturally, so they need to use tools.

'Hmm, that's rather interesting information, but I didn't get what I was looking for. It seems I need to head to the royal capital. It must be easier to get information there.' Ben thought before leaving town.

Ben still had no idea how they could be pulled into a different universe. But he knew that he needed to find his sisters, girlfriend and guild mates. Then he also needed to come up with a way back to Earthland. There was a lot for him to do.

"I hope everyone is fine." Ben said before walking away from the town.
