The meeting with Edolas Ben was surprising and Ben was excited. Lisanna told him that this world's Ben is strong, so he can be a good ally. But he was confused about why Edolas Ben was here now.
"Why are you here? Lisanna told me you left a few months ago to find a way to save her." Ben asked.
"I haven't found it. Well, actually I did but we can't use it because it's not available in Edolas. It's available on Earthland, that's how I know about Earthland." Edolas Ben said, before correcting himself.
"What is it?" Ben asked his Edolas counterpart.
"Black Magic." Edolas Ben answered.
Ben was surprised Edolas Ben knew that much even though he had never been to Earthland.
'I expected nothing less from my other self.' Ben thought sarcastically.
"So you also have the same thought as me. Then I think we can work together. I also want to save our Lisanna's soul and bring her back." Ben said.
"Can you use Black Magic?" Edolas Ben asked his Earthland counterpart.
"I never practiced it, but I know about it. I will share it with you so we can think about it together. Right now I can't focus on this because I need to find my guild mates." Ben explained.
"Hmm, sounds good to me." Edolas Ben said.
"Alright. By the way, where have you been these last few months?" Ben asked.
"Ah, I was going around without any destination in mind. But then my vehicle ran out of energy and I couldn't get any lacrima crystals, so I walked. Eventually I reached the capital and found the answer there. I found it last month and tried to go back, but it's strange. I couldn't find the way back." Edolas Ben explained.
"Wait! You left the capital a month ago?" Ben asked, shocked.
"Yeah, I've walked around for a month and still can't find my guild. I should've brought my communication tool." Edolas Ben said.
Ben acquired a dark expression after hearing that.
"So where do you think you are now?" He asked.
"I don't know, but it must be far from the capital. I've been walking around for a month, so." Edolas Ben said nonchalantly.
The corner of Ben's mouth twitched.
"This is the forest right beside the capital." He said.
"Eh? Really?" Edolas Ben asked while taking a step back.
"Yeah. I know that because I have the map, so I wouldn't be wrong. Don't tell me you have a poor sense of direction?" Ben asked suspiciously.
Edolas Ben then gulped as he looked away and whistled innocently. Ben slapped his forehead and sighed because he never thought his Edolas counterpart was an idiot. Lisanna didn't tell him this, so it was very shocking.
"I guess we won't exactly be the same even though we are similar." Ben said.
Ben stopped dwelling on it and focused on the matter at hand. He told Edolas Ben to get in the car and follow him to the capital. They will think of the method to save Lisanna on the way there.
Edolas Ben agreed and they go to the capital immediately. On the way there, both Ben's talk about themselves. They are quite similar, especially in their love for cars and crafting items.
After a half hour, they finally reach the capital. They first don disguises before entering the city. Edolas Ben then took them to his hideout, but it wasn't easy with his poor sense of direction.
Ben became impatient after they walk around for a half hour. So he asked about the hideout and Edolas Ben explained it to him. Then Ben asked around and they finally found the hideout after 5 minutes. It's very close to where they entered the city, yet they couldn't find it before.
"I think you need to bring someone with you every time you go somewhere." Ben said.
"Ugh, even you tell me that." Edolas Ben groaned because the other members of his guild say the same thing.
They enter the hideout and Ben began explaining Black Magic to Edolas Ben. He also explained the Black and White Arts that might be useful. Edolas Ben noted everything in his notebook, he can write really fast without making a single mistake, even Ben can't do that.
"That's all. Then I will leave you here to think about it while I try to find my friends. I will give you a lot of food and drinks, so don't go anywhere or it will be hard to find you." Ben said.
"Don't worry, I won't-" Edolas Ben said smugly before Ben cut him off.
There was a scary expression on his face.
"Don't go anywhere or I'll chain your feet to the ground so you won't go anywhere." He said.
"Y-Yes." Edolas Ben replied in fear.
Ben then left the hideout after giving Edolas Ben some food and drinks. With A.I Chip and Edolas Ben working on the Black Magic, Ben just needed to focus on finding his friends.
'I hope he can find an unusual answer that even A.I Chip can't think of. We all see magic in different ways, so the possibility is high.' Ben thought as he left the hideout.
After leaving, Ben donned a disguise instead of using Transformation Magic to converse magic power. He wore the same white-furred jacket that he used before, but now it has Mystogan's name on the back.
The 'FT' word was below Mystogan's name to indicate he was a Fairy Tail mage. Displaying his Fairy Tail mark will be a problem so he used initials. People will consider it fashion, nothing else.
'I hope he sees this and understands I'm looking for him.' Ben thought.
Ben walked around the capital and saw a lot of people gathered in a plaza. He was curious and wanted to go there, but suddenly someone pulled him into a alley. This startled him and he immediately wanted to attack the person who pulled him into the alley.
"Wait! I'm Mystogan." The one who pulled him into the alley said.
The man wore a black robe, black scarf and black clothing with bandages. He then showed his guild mark to Ben and he knew it was real. So this was the real Mystogan and Ben removed his disguise.
"Sorry. I've never seen you before so I have no idea what you look like." Ben apologized.
"It's fine. You're a new member, so you wouldn't know. I guess you want to know what happened, that's why you searched for me, right?" Mystogan asked.
Ben nodded and Mystogan led him to a place that was better hidden. They head inside a building and enter a dark room. Mystogan suddenly lowered his scarf and revealed his face to Ben.
"You! Aren't you in jail?!" Ben exclaimed in surprise.
"That's not me, but a different Jellal. I am not someone from Earthland, I am from Edolas." Mystogan corrected him.
"You're Jellal's counterpart?" Ben asked in realization.
"That's right. It seems you know about a lot of things. This will make it a lot easier to explain." Mystogan admitted.
"But you were a member of the guild for years, right? That means you have lived on Earthland for- Wait! Were you the Jellal that saved Wendy 7 years ago?" Ben asked.
Mystogan nodded making Ben happy. He hugged Mystogan like a brother.
"Ha ha ha, so you were the one who saved her. I didn't know her at the time but she's my sister now, so I need to thank you for saving her back then. I'll take you as my brother now, ha ha ha." Ben said.
Jellal smiled and then became serious.
"Sorry to ruin the excitement, but this is not the time to be happy. Everyone in our guild and Magnolia is in danger. Allow me to explain." He said.
