After removing Earthland Lisanna's soul from Edo Lisanna's body, Ben's group left the building and returned to the battlefield. Along the way, Ben broke the key Coco was holding so no one could use it. Even if they had the key though, they wouldn't be able to use it because they failed to absorb Ben's Dragon Slayer Magic.
Besides, Faust had been defeated along with Byro and Sugarboy. Ben wasn't sure about the other captains though. But with Faust defeated, it was safe to assume they had been defeated as well.
Also, Mystogan informed Ben Panther Lily was on his side. He joined the kingdom because Mystogan is the prince and they are close. The black Exceed helped Mystogan in the past, so he was an ally.
Hughes and Edolas Erza were the only opponents left. Mira said that the two Erza's were fighting now, so there was nothing to worry about. Their Erza will certainly win, she isn't called Titania for nothing.
As for Hughes, Natsu, Wendy and Lucy were fighting him. Gajeel fought Lily before, but with Lily joining Mystogan, Gajeel should've joined Natsu. Even if he doesn't, Natsu, Wendy and Lucy should be able to win. Ben would need to scold them and train them a 'little' if they lose even if it was 3 on 1.
Fortunately, they managed to defeat Hughes. The 3 returned to the battlefield to help after defeating him. So now they don't need to be trained by Ben as it would traumatize them.
Gajeel and Erza also joined them, which meant that all the captains of the Royal Army had been defeated. The war had come to an end after the soldiers gave up following the defeat of their captains and king.
"So, what should we do now?" Gajeel asked after the Earthland Fairy Tail mages gather.
"Mystogan will use a Reverse Anima to return us to Earthland. He will do it by removing magic from this world and it will surely cause chaos. So he told me that he will become an enemy of this world while making Panther Lily the hero." Ben explained.
"What?! But isn't all this his hard work? Then shouldn't he be the hero?" Mira asked.
"Yeah, I think so too. That's why we need to do something for him. He's going to stay here, so we need to give him a gift, right?" Ben questioned.
"Hmm? Do you want us to be the villains?" Natsu asked.
Ben looked at him in disbelief.
"Natsu, you can actually use your head, can't you?" He said.
"WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!" Natsu yelled.
"I meant what I said. Anyway, as Natsu just said, we will be the villains and make him the hero." Ben remarked.
He then explained the plan which was rather simple and Natsu was really eager to pull it off. So Ben gave the role of main villain to Natsu and he said he would the Demon King. It's a different plan than the one Ben came up with, but he just let Natsu carry it out because the main point was still the same.
The others will help Natsu destroy the city and scare civilians. Erza and Mira refused to do this, so Ben, Wendy and Gajeel were going to help Natsu. The Edolas Fairy Tail mages will help with the evacuation so people will like them later.
"Wendy, do you want to meet Mystogan? You know his real name, right? This will probably be the last time you encounter each other, so-" Ben asked.
"That's...yes, I want to meet him." Wendy made up her mind.
"Alright, let's do that before it starts. Moza, you should also talk to Bella. You might not have another opportunity to do so." Ben told Moza.
"Ugh, a-alright." Moza replied.
Ben smirked as his plan to fool Moza went off without a hitch. If Mystogan's plan is successful and all magic is returned to Earthland, then the Exceeds will also be sent there because their bodies contain magic power.
But Moza, his wife and his son weren't aware of this. They should be aware of it though because Bella is a Exceed will be sent back to Earthland. The messy situation left them confused, so Ben can easily fool them before they clearly think about it.
After saying that, Ben grabbed hold of Wendy's hand and teleport to Mystogan's location. He told him where the Anima controls were located earlier, so he can teleport close to it. Then he and Wendy enter the control room and see Mystogan talking to Lily.
"Did we disturb you?" Ben asked.
"Ben! Wendy! What are you doing here?" Mystogan was surprised to see them in the control room.
"Wendy here wants to talk to you." Ben said as he pushed Wendy's back a little.
Wendy approached Mystogan and gave him a hug while expressing her gratitude. He had saved her in the past and she really appreciated that. She spent the last 7 years searching for him and Ben also helped her but they never found him.
They even mistook him for Earthland Jellal, but finally, they found the correct one. Now they will part ways and probably never see each other again. So Wendy used this opportunity to say what she always wanted to say and bid farewell to him.
Ben and Lily just watch them from the side awkwardly because Ben injured Lily before. He apologized to Lily and the big Exceed didn't mind it. This is a war and they were enemies, so it was natural for them to fight.
After talking to Wendy, Mystogan activated the full scale Reverse Anima. Ben looked at the process intensely and asked A.I Chip to scan and study it. He wants to learn everything that he can about it because it might be useful later.
The Reverse Anima is active now and Ben can feel the Ethernano in the air moving up to the sky. With this, the other plan must have started too, so they need to return and become villains. Ben held Wendy's hand again to teleport them to the city.
But before leaving, he told Mystogan something, "Prince, we have a show for you, so why don't you go out and watch it?"
Without waiting for a response, Ben teleported to the city with Wendy. Mystogan and Lily were confused. Then a soldier called for them and told them something bad was happening outside. They leave the control room and finally understand what he meant.
In the city, Natsu and Gajeel were causing a ruckus and destroying buildings while holding the king hostage. After returning to the city, Ben and Wendy join them and scare the people. It's hard for Wendy to even scare children, so Ben and Gajeel help her from the back.
Mystogan realized what they were doing, but there was too much destruction. It's not what he wanted, so he immediately went to stop them. When he appeared, Natsu introduced him to the citizens as the Prince of Edolas and challenged him to a fight.
Mystogan immediately ran over to Natsu and confronted him in hand to hand combat. The others stop what they're doing and watch the fight. This looks very strange and Ben was convinced no one would fall for this act.
"There's no way people are going to believe this. Someone that can use magic and destroy big buildings is fighting with his fists and losing. No one in their right mind will believe this, but we don't have another choice." Ben said pessimistically.
"Don't worry, I think they believe it." Gajeel reassured him.
Sure enough, they did and Ben was flabbergasted. He was glad this was working, but he was worried about the intelligence of Edolas' people. Still, their plan went well and everyone believed it when Natsu lost to Mystogan.
After Natsu's defeat, everyone that had magic power in their body was pulled up into the sky. Their bodies glow and they act like they're in pain to show that this is Mystogan's handiwork.
But they still have time to say farewell before they finally leave Edolas along with all the magic power in this world. This had finally been resolved and they can return home.
