Hello everyone. I'm sorry for not updating this story for so long. I updated right after new year's and then I've just fallen off the face of the earth, I know.

I just really want to say some fun things first. Anyway, the other day I just had a real bad craving to watch the good witch movies. So at last, I ended up watching them all on YouTube, but it was random at the time. Because then I found out it was actually the birthday of Catherine Bell.

I was telling my friend about it. And as it turned out she likes those movies/ show too. And I'm currently unemployed. So we were talking about how Cassie is so kind. She has her store and hotel and she just sees whatever anyone needs, willing to give everyone the chance they need. So maybe… applying for as many jobs as I am. I need a Cassie Nightingale to open a store in town so I can apply there.

Well… I can dream!

Then, all I do have is fanfiction. And this one will go on until it's finished.

I didn't have any idea of what to do with this story… I just started it. Anyway, this might be the only chapter left. Writing this I haven't started the actual chapter yet.

When I came home after being at the dentist dad only dropped me off before he had to go back to the hospital. Which didn't matter really because afterwards, I could barely even remember entering the house and collapsing on the living room couch before I fell asleep with coat and winter boots still on.

And I couldn't even know how long I fell asleep for. It felt like five minutes, but it must have been longer because what woke me up was someone knocking on the door. And when I opened it was Grace, and she had a small pile of books with her…

Well, that wasn't something unusual. But that much I knew of Grace I knew she didn't skip class so now must be quite far into the afternoon.

"Yes?"

At least I had fallen asleep for long enough for the numb feeling to be gone from my face and I could talk properly again.

"Yes!" Grace handed me the books. "You didn't pick up your phone so I called your dad and he told me what happened. Your teacher say that a toothache is not enough reason to get away from these."

"I didn't sleep all night." I wined, then stared on the books that Grace held as if that could make the books disappear or her throw them away. "If I went to school I just wouldn't have been able to… think!"

"I know… Anyway, my mum told me to invite you over for dinner since your dad is working a long shift."

"I…" I yawned tiredly as if I hadn't only just woken up from an hours' nap. "…I want to sleep. Sleep is nice. Bed calls for me… I hate the dentist but I'm going to have to go back now."

"Back to bed or the dentist?"

"Both."

"Well. Mum invited you for dinner…"

I looked back towards the house, and somehow saw in front of me all yoghurt and breakfast food there was in there. I and dad as good as never ate here at home right now but at Grey House so there just wasn't a reason for us to have anymore…

"Fine!"

I wanted to slam the door in Grace's face and go collapse back on the couch, but I hadn't been able to eat much ever since lunch yesterday and whatever Cassie was cooking sounded lovely…

I didn't answer Grace out loud. As if I was too tired to make my voice heard into more than "ugh" I heavily walked after her, down my driveway. Across the road and up to Grey House.

"Hello Nick." Cassie greeted, she could impossibly have seen me yet. "Dinner's ready in about an hour. But here I have an orange and a big glass of ice water for you. And I think that will do…. Are you alright?"

"Ugh."

I left the fruit and water in the kitchen and only kind of let Cassie know I was there. Then I went to lie down on the sofa and within seconds I was gone for the world again.

"Nick…" Cassie shook my shoulder what felt like half a second later. "Nick?" I squeezed my eyelids up, just a little bit. "Dinner is finished now… come. I think you should at least have something to eat."

"I'll be right there…" I groaned, but it was obvious Cassie didn't believe me. And stayed and watched as I went. Which was probably the only reason I forced myself onto my feet and to the kitchen.

"So Nick…" By the time I had made my way to the table and sat down, at least I could keep my eyes open and make my voice heard when Grace was the one who started asking questions. "…what did the dentist say?" I glared at her. "That bad? Or you just don't like the dentist?"

For a few seconds I just thought about what to answer through my slow, tired mind.

"Well… both of those."

Everything was spinning in my mind…

"The two important parts, well… three. No… four. The one that broke yesterday is fixed and doesn't hurt anymore…. But there are more holes…" I chuckled at the hopelessness. "…And there are wisdom teeth… And the ones in the lower jaw, they're…" I sighed- a part of me just wanted to lie down and cry. "….They're so big and close to nerves the dentist doesn't want to touch them. So I'll have to go to the hospital and a jaw surgeon to get those out…. And they'll have to be taken out… So that's everything that's important really… right now."

And then what would be important tomorrow? Or next month…

But all I could hear right now was the memories of the dentist saying whatever that would mean I needed another appointment…

Poor Nick…

Random fact

I'm trying to figure how to continue and finish this story. But I think maybe the next will be the last…
