Chapter 10

(After supper is finished at Trina's, she takes her mom to the side in private)

Portia: "Everything okay?"

Trina: (nods) "Everything is just fine. I am just letting you know I am going to spend the night at Spencer's." (sighs) "Please trust me enough and know that Spencer would never put me in danger."

Portia: "Do you and Spencer have protection? Or do you need help getting on the pill?" (rolls her eyes) "What am I saying? I am sure you have already crossed that bridge."

Trina: (chuckles) "To answer your question, I do not know if Spencer has condoms. I am sure he does, though. Yes, I am on the pill. I have been on it a few months now. Ever since I was with Rory. I was not ready yet, though." (nods) "Now, I am. Please support me."

Portia: "As long as you know what you want, I support you 100%."

Trina: (grins) "Thanks, mom."

(Mother and daughter share a hug before Trina goes upstairs for a few minutes to pack a bag and then goes back to Spencer. He looks at her slightly concerned)

Spencer: "Everything okay?"

Trina: (smiles a bit) "I told my mother I was staying the night with you."

(Spencer looks surprised that Portia didn't create a scene)

Spencer: "How'd she react?"

Trina: "She wanted to make sure that you did not pressure me. I assured her you would never do that."

Spencer: "Baby, we don't have to do anything tonight."

Trina: "Come on. Let's go outside. We will have privacy."

(Spencer follows his lady love outside, by the front door)

Trina: "Mom just wanted to make sure I was ready."

(Trina tenderly rests the palm of her hand on his cheek)

Trina: "Baby, I have been ready for a while now. I have just been patiently waiting for everything to be okay for you…legally. Your ankle monitor, I mean."

Spencer: (smirks) "You've been waiting that long, huh?" (jokingly) "I didn't know that I did that to you, Miss Robinson."

(Trina narrows her eyes jokingly right back)

Trina: "There is a lot of things you do to me, Mr. Cassadine. I am just too much of a lady to say it out loud."

(That comment causes Spencer to laugh hard. They both get serious, though)

Spencer: "I love you, so much, Trina. I know you would tell me if you were not ready."

(Trina places a tender kiss on his lips before speaking)

Trina: "Yes, you know I would. I love you even more, Spencer."

(Trina looks at him passionately)

Trina: "I want to show you just how much."

(Spencer cannot resist his next move. He takes his girl in his arms and passionately kisses her right back before pulling away)

Spencer: "That makes two of us."

(He smiles at his girl and their hands intertwine with each other as they walk away. They go to Spencer's place so he can pack an overnight bag, as well. Laura comes into the living room just as Spencer and Trina are about to leave)

Laura: "Spencer?"

(Spencer and Trina turn around and he goes to his grandmother)

Spencer: "My apologies. I didn't know you were home. Trina and I are going to the Metro Court for the night."

(Laura looks between Trina and Spencer before facing Spencer again and speaks in a low voice to protect his privacy)

Laura: "Are you two being safe?"

Spencer: (nods) "Yes. I have protection in my bag, just in case. I would never put Trina in a bad situation."

Laura: (smiles) "I am glad you are being safe. If something happens, feel free to call me."

Spencer: "Thank you, grandmother." (briefly chuckles) "You're probably one of the few people besides Trina who cares."

(Laura rests her hands on Spencer's shoulders)

Laura: "Always have, always will. Love you."

(She pecks his cheek)

Spencer: "Love you, too, grandmother."

(Spencer and Trina walk out the door)

***Metro Court***

(Spencer is able to get his old room back, much to his delight. Trina was caught off-guard to see lighted candles around the room and rose petals on the bed. There was no champagne with wine glasses as technically they were not legal age yet. So, Spencer ordered apple cider and two wine glasses. Trina looks at her boyfriend in awe)

Trina: "I can't believe you did all of this for me."

Spencer: (smiles) "I wanted to do more." (chuckles lightly) "This was all I could do at the last minute."

Trina: "I'm sorry. I probably ruined our night."

(He pecks her nose and they put their small overnight bags near the dresser by the TV)

Trina: "I'm going to go get changed."

Spencer: (surprised) "Changed? You brought something for tonight? I thought it would just be your cute pj's." (smirks)

Trina: (laughs) "Well, it's not cute pj's and it's not a sexy negligee. I'm kind of in between."

Spencer: "I bought boxers and sweats, as I didn't know which one to bring. And a t-shirt."

Trina: "I may need that t-shirt later."

(Trina grabs her bag and goes in the bathroom. Spencer takes the opportunity to take off his clothes and put on his boxers and a t-shirt. After about a half hour, Trina comes out. Spencer turns to face her and is in awe of how she looks)

Spencer: "Do you want some apple cider?"

(Spencer pours them both a glass and they take a drink. As they are looking into the other's eyes, they take another drink)
