Ben was now facing Hades and he knew he was very strong. He was the strongest opponent he had ever faced, aside from Zeref. He can guess that he would stand a chance against Hades, but Zeref was out of his league for the time being.

"What brings to Tenrou Island, Hades?" Ben demanded as he held his sword out.

"Why don't you guess?" Hades asked.

"I doubt it's something to do with us. It must be Zeref." Ben replied.

"So you know." Hades smirked.

"I ran into the bastard recently, so I can guess. Dark mages are obsessed with Zeref." Ben stated.

"Bastard? How dare you call him that. You are not worthy." Hades angrily said.

Ben smirked after seeing Hades get angry over his insult towards Zeref. Most dark mages have a strange obsession towards Zeref for hundreds of years. It seemed Hades was also obsessed with Zeref like everyone else.

Hades suddenly extended his right arm and a big magic circle appeared in front of him. Then 2 chains come out of the magic circle and came towards Ben. It was the same spell Hades used against Makarov before.

Ben knew the chains were strong because they sent Makarov flying in his giant form. So he chose to evade the chains by moving to the left. But the chains chased him so he used his sword to block them.

Seeing Ben was able to easily block 2 chains, Hades decided to add 2 more chains. It indeed made blocking them harder for Ben but he can still handle them. He used his Light Magic on his right hand so he can move it a lot faster.

Of course, Hades wasn't happy that someone far younger than him handled his attack so easily. Ben's movements were very fast and Hades can only see them as blurs because they are too fast.

"What kind of movement is that? He is the fastest man I have ever seen. Not even Speed Magic can boost someone's speed that much. Tch, I never expected this. But I can't let myself be played like a fool by a kid." Hades said.

He then prepared another type of magic using his left hand. He shaped his fingers like a pistol and then a small purple energy ball appeared in front of his index and middle finger. It is Bullet Magic, very strong too because Hades was a master of it.

He fired multiple bullets at Ben while he was busy blocking the chains. Ben clicked his tongue and evaded the bullets while still blocking the chains. It is very difficult and he gets pinched by Hades' attacks.

Ben was overwhelmed and knew he couldn't continue doing this. So he changed his strategy and disappeared from the spot he was in. Hades was surprised, but then he suddenly ducked to avoid a slash from a sword behind him.

"What the?! Teleportation?!" Hades exclaimed in surprise because Ben suddenly appeared behind him.

"Correct." Ben said as he sent a kick with his left foot.

Hades blocked the kick, but was flung back rather quickly. He stabilized himself and landed on the ground. But his hands felt sore because he didn't fully cover them in magic, so the damage was extensive.

"Such power. It's truly a waste that I didn't find you first. But it's not too late now. So why don't you leave Fairy Tail and join me, kid? You will get stronger if you follow me instead of Makarov." Hades offered.

"Hah, you have a bad sense of humor, old man. I got this strong by myself, so why would I need your help? You and the Magic Council are really full of yourselves and think you can make me reach my full potential. I can reach it myself. Your help would just make it faster. So your help isn't necessary." Ben said with a smirk.

"Humph, what an arrogant brat." Hades said, pissed off.

But Hades' eyes suddenly widened when a leg suddenly appeared in front of his face and kicked him.

*BAM*

Hades was flung back and crashed into the trees. He was sent flying 30 meters and broke many trees in the process. Ben kicked him with a lot of strength after teleporting in front of him.

"I am not arrogant because I'm able to back up my words. You should call it pride, a trait of a Sun Dragon and Devil Slayer. Light Mode!" Ben exclaimed as he covered his body in light.

Hades got up while rubbing his face.

"Dragon and devil?! What do you-!? Are you a Dragon and Devil Slayer?!" He asked, shocked.

Ben smirked after seeing Hades' surprised expression but he doesn't answer. He just flashed towards Hades and starts to attack him at close range. Ben's movements are very fast and Hades can't see them at all, not to mention counter them.

"HA HA HA. WHAT'S WRONG, OLD MAN? WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR ARROGANCE?" Ben mockingly asked.

Ben beat Hades up as he was unable to keep up with his speed. Speed is power indeed and Ben always utilized it against a stronger enemy. His goal is to win, so he will use what he has to defeat his opponent. No one is faster than him in Light Mode, that's what he believes.

'Faster! Faster! I can be faster!' Ben thought while grinning as he forced himself to move faster.

Ben keeps getting faster and Hades can't do anything except protect his body with magic power, that's the best he can do against Ben's speed. He laid on the ground and Ben is punching at him from above with unimaginable speed.

'Fuck! If this continues I will be defeated by this brat not long after our arrival.' Hades thought.

Ben's barrage of attacks started to break Hades' magical defense. But then some wooden spikes suddenly appear out of the ground and were aimed at Ben. So he jumped back to avoid the spikes.

He looked to a tree on his right and observed a man emerging from it. The injured Hades smiled seeing the man who is one of his mages. If this guy arrived a moment later, Hades would be defeated before he could use his full power.

"Azuma, you came at the right time." Hades said as he stood up slowly with his injured body.

"Master, you don't look so good." Azuma noted in concern.

"Humph, this kid is really something. He didn't want me to use my full power so he attacked without stopping." Hades said.

"A smart and strong guy, huh? Interesting." Azuma smirked.

"You were the one that attacked Lily and Carla, huh? Good, this saves me the trouble of having to find you." Ben said.

"You are very confident. You might have had a advantage against Master Hades because of your speed, but it won't work against me." Azuma told him.

Suddenly, Ben's feet were snared by vines and he can't move them. Azuma can move the vines stealthily and Ben didn't notice it until it was too late. Then the vines snared his body, preventing him from moving at all.

Azuma calmly walked towards and Hades smirked from the side. This was checkmate for Ben because he couldn't move at all. Now they just need to finish it and defeat Ben with a strong attack that he can't handle.

"Ha ha, arrogant brat, this is your end. Azuma, I'm not in good shape, so you finish him off." Hades said.

Azuma nodded and then added more roots to cover Ben's body and now only his face is visible. The vines merge and become a big and tall tree that held Ben inside. He can feel the tree accumulating a lot of magic power inside it.

"You can absorb magic power from the earth using this tree, huh?" Ben asked.

"So you can sense it. Impressive. But that doesn't mean I will stop because you impressed me." Azuma said.

Ben just smirked.

"Then, why don't you impress me now?" He asked.

"As you wish." Azuma obliged with his request.

Suddenly, the tree glowed bright and a moment later it explodes. The explosion was really big because Azuma has gathered a lot of magic power and it engulfed a wide area. It's also very high and can be seen all over the island.

"It's over, let's return." Hades said with a smirk as he walked away.
