Ben and Gray arrive at Lucy's location after teleporting there. Lucy, Loke, Capricorn and one of Ben's clones were there. The goat spirit was no longer possessed by Zoldeo.
Now Capricorn was Lucy's Celestial Spirit because he was supposed to be hers from the beginning. He was contracted to Lucy's mother, Layla, and then she gave the key to Zoldeo. He was supposed to give the key to Lucy, but then he used human possession on Capricorn instead.
"What's the situation?" Ben asked.
"Like I told you before, Cana disappeared after our fight with Capricorn. We don't know where she went." Ben's clone replied.
"She put me to sleep with her magic and then after I woke up, she was gone." Lucy explained.
"Do you know why she did that?" Ben asked her.
"No, I don't." Lucy admitted she had no idea why Cana put her to sleep.
Ben then looked at her.
"Lucy, if you know something then tell us. Any clue will help. The current situation is dangerous. She might meet a dangerous enemy. We've defeated most of the strong enemies, but there's still one dangerous man who's whereabouts aren't known." He said.
Lucy thought about it for a while.
"Alright, I might know something. Cana told me that she needs to be a S-Class mage now, no matter what. So I think she wants to continue the exam." She said.
The others were surprised to hear this.
"Then she might be searching for 1st master's grave right now. Still, we don't know where she went. I'll have my clones look for her." Ben said.
He then contacted his other clones in case they see Cana. None of them saw her, so he sent them out to search for her. It is dangerous for her to move around the island by herself, so they need to find her as soon as possible.
Suddenly, Ben and co hear a loud boom coming from the west. They turn around out of reflex and then Ben received some information from one of his clones.
"I know where she is." Ben said with a serious expression.
"Then-" Lucy said before Ben cut her off.
"No, you guys stay here. The enemy I just mentioned is there. But don't worry, Gildarts is also there. I will go there and pick her up. She's also with Natsu and my clone, who has just arrived on the scene." Ben ordered.
"If Gildarts is there, they should be fine." Gray said.
"Yeah, but if they stay there, they will just be a hindrance. I will go and pick them up." Ben replied.
The others nod and Ben immediately teleported to the location. He arrived right when Gildarts exchanged a punch with the enemy, Bluenote. This guy is the one that Ben assumed to be the strongest after Hades.
"Cana, Natsu, are you alright?" Ben asked as he approached them.
The two were currently crouching on the ground, unable to move. Ben was confused at first, but then he realized the gravity around them had increased. It didn't affect him though because he's immune to gravity manipulation.
"BEN! GET THEM OUT OF HERE!" Gildarts shouted.
Ben nodded.
"No, I will stay behind." Natsu said.
"You will just be a hindrance." Ben said as he picked Natsu up.
Ben picked Natsu and Cana up, then teleported them over to Gray's group. But Ben stayed behind because he was interested in the Gravity Magic. It was the first time he met someone who used Gravity Magic other than himself.
Gildarts started to exchange blows with Bluenote with more power. He can go all out now that Cana and Natsu weren't there. Ben was still there, but Gildarts knew what he was capable of so he didn't worry about him.
While Gildarts fought equally with Bluenote, Ben inspected the high gravity around them. Gildarts was affected by it but could still move because of his strong magic power. It still lowered his power though, that's why he can't overpower Bluenote.
"Hmm, this gravity manipulation is quite strong. Maybe about 20 times higher than normal gravity. I don't know if this is his limit but I can use it." Ben said with a smirk.
Ben opened his mouth and started to suck up the magic power around him. He tried to eat the Gravity Magic just like how he ate sunlight. Gravity is the only element from his arsenal that he can't eat yet because it's the vaguest and his mastery over the gravity element is the lowest.
He tried to eat gravity many times but was never successful. It's because normal gravity is hard to grasp and he can't really feel it. But now with the high amount of gravity as a result of magic, he felt like he can finally eat it.
As he thought, he can eat the gravity around him. It's because the gravity is higher than normal so he can feel it and compel himself to eat it. Ben kept sucking the gravity up to understand the feeling better.
Bluenote and Gildarts feel the gravity quickly drop so they stop fighting and look at Ben who was sucking the Gravity Magic up. Gildarts smirked while Bluenote's eyes widen in surprise. They keep watching until the Gravity Magic that affected the area was gone completely.
Ben exhaled and then smirked.
"So this is the right way to eat gravity. Finally, I can eat it after struggling to do so for years. Thanks man, you really helped me out there." He said.
Bluenote had tick marks on his forehead as Ben looked at him with a smirk on his face. Ben might be thanking him but he knew that Ben was ridiculing him instead. He wanted to attack Ben but couldn't as Gildarts started to attack him again.
Gildarts started to overpower Bluenote after the Gravity Magic disappeared. Bluenote was pushed back so he cast another gravity spell. He increased the gravity more than before at 30 times the gravity.
But then Ben sucked up the gravity again because he needed to replenish his magic power. Bluenote's Gravity Magic is a good source of magic power for him. He can also raise his understanding to eat gravity by eating Bluenote's Gravity Magic.
"Is this the limit of your gravity magic? I can raise the gravity higher than this you know. Do you want to feel it?" Ben asked in a mocking tone.
Bluenote was pissed off so he cast a different spell. He put his hands in front of him and create a black and purplish ball between his hands. Everything in the surrounding area is moving towards the ball as they get pulled by it.
"Let's see if you can handle this, brat. Black Hole!" Bluenote chanted.
Gildarts looked at it seriously, but Ben was excited. When Bluenote finished his spell, Ben suddenly teleported in front of him. He grabbed the black hole and pulls it before he started happily eating.
Bluenote and Gildarts were dumbfounded as they watch Ben walk away while eating the black hole happily. He ate the black hole like he ate a delicious meal. Bite marks could be seen on the black hole after Ben ate it's parts.
Ben felt their gaze on him.
"What? You want it?" He asked.
His question left them speechless and their jaws drop.
"I won't give it back even if you want it. You can't eat it anyway, so just fight it while I eat." Ben told them.
Gildarts and Bluenote then remember they were fighting. Gildarts moved towards Bluenote fast and prepared a punch. Bluenote wanted to cast another spell, but it was too late as Gildarts appeared in front of him.
Gildarts sends a uppercut while chanting his spell, "Crushing Evil, Spreading the Truth: Empyrean!"
Bluenote received the super strong uppercut and flew into the sky. The uppercut was so strong that it also destroyed the ground. Such power was enough to make Bluenote disappear like a shooting star.
Ben whistled while holding a small piece of the black hole. "You are ridiculous, old man."
Gildarts' mouth twitched. "Go look in a mirror, kid."
