Ben and Makarov face Acnologia together to give the others time to escape. Makarov attacked from the front and tanked Acnologia's attacks in his giant form. Ben attacked from a distance by bombarding Acnologia with fireballs.

Using his Sun Dragon Slayer Magic, Ben attacked from the sides and behind. He also increased the gravity on Acnologia's body to the utmost limit. Currently, his limit is 70 times gravity, which has increased after consuming Bluenote's Gravity Magic.

This spell increased Acnologia's weight by 70 times. However, Acnologia wasn't affected that much and it really didn't change anything. It's as if his weight only increased a little bit, not 70 times.

"His physical strength and magic power are really high. So this is the power of a dragon." Ben said as he prepared a spell.

He created a solar energy bomb in his right hand and threw it when Makarov put Acnologia in a headlock. He threw it at the base of Acnologia's tail and Makarov released Acnologia so he could back off.

*BOOM*

Makarov backed off to avoid the explosion of the solar energy bomb. The bomb was big enough to engulf Acnologia's body and the area around him. If Makarov didn't release him from the headlock, the old man would've been engulfed in the explosion as well.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Ben exclaimed in surprise while looking at Acnologia.

When the explosion subsided, Ben looked at the base of the tail and there was no damage at all. There wasn't even a scratch on Acnologia's scales even though Ben put a lot of power into that attack. That bomb is powerful enough to instantly kill A-Class creatures and gravely injure S-Class creatures.

But Acnologia didn't take any damage, not even a scratch. He must be extremely durable to take that attack without any problem. Dragon Slayer Magic does more damage to dragons, so if Acnologia was fine, he had a lot of durability.

Acnologia looked at Ben with interest after receiving that attack. Then he moved towards him but Makarov tackled him from the right. Ben snapped out of his trance, then moved to the left and charged Pendragon with solar energy produced by his Sun Dragon Slayer Magic.

He swung his sword at Acnologia's stomach and it produced a flying golden slash. The golden slash flew quickly and hit Acnologia's stomach. However, just like before, there was no damage inflicted to Acnologia's scales.

However, he continued his assault on Acnologia. Makarov did his best to keep the black dragon in place while Ben went on the attack. Their strategy seems to be going well because Acnologia doesn't retaliate.

What they didn't know was that Acnologia was playing games with them. They finally figured it out after the black dragon pushed Makarov away effortlessly and put his right leg on Makarov's body. He also swatted Ben's attacks away with his wings and tail as if they were nothing.

"Damn, I don't care if he was playing around if it could give us more time. But now he's bored so he will fight back. The ship shouldn't be too far away, so he can still chase it easily. I can't allow that to happen." Ben said.

Acnologia raised his front left leg to attack Makarov who was lying underneath him. Ben can't let it happen so he teleported on top of Makarov's giant chest. He extended his hands and a dark purple aura covered them.

"Almighty Push!" Ben chanted.

Ben released a strong pushing energy using his Gravity Magic. It pushed Acnologia away from below, but only a little bit. Ben clicked his tongue, but then different spells hit the right side of Acnologia's body, pushing him to the left.

Makarov and Ben were surprised so they look at where the spells came from. They see the mages that should've left by now coming back to the island. All of them returned and attacked Acnologia at the same time.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Makarov yelled.

"We came back to help you. There's no way we can leave you two here." Natsu told him.

"Idiots! We can escape after you reach the mainland. If you're all here, then we won't be able to escape unless we defeat him." Ben angrily stated.

"But can you hold him off long enough for us to reach the mainland?" Mira angrily asked.

"We'll find a way." Ben replied.

"No, you can't. It's clear that he was just playing around with you and can finish you off at any time. If he targeted us, he'll finish you off quickly and then go after the ship. We're extremely vulnerable on the ship. It's better to fight him on land. At the very least, we can use our full power here. Fighting together will also make our attacks stronger." Gildarts explained.

Ben clicked his tongue but didn't say anything. It doesn't matter if Gildarts is right or not. What matters is that they're here now so they can only fight together if they all want to survive, there's no other choice.

They all get ready as Acnologia looks at them again. Acnologia then started to attack them using his front legs, wings and tail. He just used physical attacks so far and didn't use magic since he descended to the island.

That meant he was still playing around with them and they knew it. But they can't do anything except attack Acnologia with all they've got. This was their only choice, struggle for their lives.

They all attack Acnologia from every side with long-range spells. Ben had prohibited them from using close distance attacks because they can die if they were hit by Acnologia even once. So the ones that mainly fight up close need to change their strategy.

Everyone attacked Acnologia, even the cats who attacked him with their guns. Bella lent a pistol to Happy again so he could attack too. She also lent one to Lily so he won't need to attack using his sword at close range because it was too dangerous.

Wendy used supportive spells while also attacking. She increased the Dragon Slayer's strength, speed and stamina after Ben asked her to do it. Dragon Slayer Magic is the best thing to use against a dragon.

Wendy was strong enough to cast these supportive spells on four people now. Ben had been training her for years, so she is not weak. Her spells really help Ben, Natsu, Gajeel and Laxus because their attack power had been increased significantly.

After receiving some buffs, Ben created seven clones to help them, but not to fight. The clones would help those targeted by Acnologia escape. They will use teleportation to help them escape Acnologia's attacks.

Ben also added more variations to his attacks. One of them is how he gathers the ground that was destroyed by Gildarts and Acnologia into a big lump using Gravity Magic. Then he threw it high into the sky before dropping it on Acnologia with 70 times the gravity.

This attack managed to push Acnologia to the ground and destroy the ground where he stood too. But still, it wasn't enough to do any damage to Acnologia's body. A dragon's body is a lot tougher and stronger than they expected.

"Damn, nothing is working. Just what should we do?" Elfman asked in his beast form.

"Just keep attacking, Elfman! Don't stop your hands!" Ben shouted.

They continue attacking even though nothing worked. Acnologia just stood there and took their attacks as if telling them they were useless. He shows them that they can attack him all day and he will still be fine.

But it seemed he was bored playing with them so he swiped his tail and pushed them all back. Then Acnologia took off and flew into the sky before stopping quite a distance away. He floated there and then opened his mouth to suck up magic power.

"FUCK! HE IS GATHERING MAGIC POWER!" Ben shouted.

The mages can feel the magic power that Acnologia gathered just now. They know that none of them can stop this attack. But they can't give up so they try to think of a way to defend themselves.

Ben also thought hard, but nothing came to mind until he heard a voice in his head. 'Let me help you, boy.'

It surprised Ben because he knew who's voice this was. 'Smog!?'
