Acnologia prepared a roar after hitting Ben, Mira and Bella. The Fairy Tail mages who were in despair knew Acnologia was going to attack them but they lost their will to fight after seeing the three mages struck by Acnologia's strong attack.

Their emotions were in turmoil but Wendy, Carla, Elfman and Lisanna felt the worst. Those three are their family but they could only watch the three of them receive that attack. They can only look at the sky with blank expressions as tears flow down their eyes.

Makarov and Gildarts were sad too, but they can compose themselves. They have experienced a lot over the years as mages. So even if they were sad, they could still think rationally.

"Everyone, wake up! This isn't over yet, we still need to fight!" Makarov yelled.

"Master is right, we shouldn't give up yet. Ben and Mira are stronger than you all, I know this very well. They still have a chance to survive that. So we need to survive too and help them." Gildarts added.

"R-really?" Wendy asked hopefully.

"Yeah. At the very least, their chance of survival is higher than any of you here. So let's work together and leave this place alive. If we are dead, then no one can help those three." Gildarts said.

"Even if they did survive, they're likely badly injured." Ryu pointed out. He had gotten over this almost immediately.

"Elfman, Lisanna, Wendy, Carla. You guys are treasured by Ben and Mira. What will they say if they see you giving up now after they worked hard to protect you? Even Bella would be angry if they see you give up." Makarov told them.

Erza was the second person to recover emotionally.

"That's right. Let's not give up too quickly and believe in them. Ben and Mira are strong so they will be fine. They also protected Bella, so she will be fine too." She said.

The young mages agree with Erza and finally get a hold of themselves. Wendy and Carla have been with Ben for years so they know how strong he is. They are sure that he will be fine. Elfman and Lisanna also think the same thing, that's what they believe.

They all then get closer and hold each other's hands to channel their magic power. Acnologia's attack is really strong so they need to face it together. They channel their magic power to create a strong defense.

Right when the mages do that, Acnologia finished preparing his attack. Bright blue energy appeared in his mouth, ready to be fired anytime. He doesn't waste time and a massive energy beam was fired from his mouth at the Fairy Tail mages.

*BOOM*

A massive explosion was produced by Acnologia's attack. It engulfed all of Tenrou Island and even the sea around it. The shock wave was so strong that it pushed the ocean back and created big waves.

The explosion dispersed after a minute and the result was rather shocking. Tenrou Island had disappeared and a giant hole was in it's place. The fate of everyone on the island is unknown, but the chance of escape is almost nil.

Acnologia watched as the seawater filled the giant hole before he flew away. There was nothing left and he was satisfied with the destruction that he created. He was someone that liked to destroy things, plain and simple.

Out at sea, several ships floated on the water. They were Magic Council ships that came as reinforcements after the first fleet was blown up by Azuma. They all watched the Fairies' battle with Acnologia, but they didn't dare to get closer.

They could feel how powerful Acnologia was and knew they weren't a match for him. So they didn't get closer and just contacted their HQ to ask for help. Even though they wanted to destroy Fairy Tail, they never intended to kill it's members.

HQ accepted their request and prepared Etherion to attack Acnologia. But it will take a while to prepare because of what Jellal and Ultear did. They just hoped that the Fairies can hold on until it was ready but that didn't happen.

Ben's power and fight against Acnologia really surprised the Council members. But they were shocked that his attacks didn't work on Acnologia. His power in Dragon Force made him one of Ishgar's strongest mages.

But Acnologia still defeated him easily and even destroyed Tenrou Island where Makarov and Gildarts were. Now Acnologia flew away, so there was no reason to fire Etherion because they don't know where Acnologia went.

But at least they know where Ben, Mira and Bella went after being attacked by Acnologia. The three of them were shot towards one of the Council ships. A trail of destruction can be seen from the front side to the cabin in the back.

The ship was almost split in half but it wasn't because the three stopped moving before that occurred. But there was a lot of destruction and the ship started sinking. They needed to evacuate before the ship sank.

Mest, or rather Doranbolt, the Council member that infiltrated the S-Class exam teleported onto the destroyed ship. He followed the trail of destruction with Lahar, another Council member and some men.

They arrive at the end of the trail and were shocked by what they saw next. At the end of the trail was a man with a bloody appearance. His whole body was covered in blood and bits of destroyed metal are sticking to his body.

It was Ben, who was unconscious but his eyes are open and he still had a intimidating gaze, as if telling no one to get closer. He is still holding the unconscious Mira and Bella in front of him despite having broken hands. Both of them only have a few scratches on their skin, in contrast with his appearance.

Lahar's eyes widen.

"What a man. He still protected them despite the condition his body's in. It seems he used all of his remaining magic power to protect them instead of himself. His remaining magic power must've been low, so he can only protect them. Also, the defense would be higher if it was only used on these two." He said.

Doranbolt's eyes were shaking as he approached Ben and the girls. But suddenly Lahar stopped him and forbid anyone from touching the three. He told them that they can't carelessly move the three, especially Ben because it might make his condition worse when he's already dying.

"We need professionals for this and our medics aren't good enough. His life force is also very weak and I won't be able to sense it if I'm not this close. It would be bad if we made a mistake because it might kill him." Lahar noted.

"THEN WHAT SHOULD WE DO? WE CAN'T LEAVE THEM HERE OR THEY WILL DIE!" Doranbolt yelled angrily before grabbing Lahar's collar.

"Calm down! We need to move them along with the things around them. Let's cut these parts up and carefully carry them." Lahar instructed.

Doranbolt calmed down and immediately ordered his men to do as Lahar said. They move fast and carefully as they cut the parts around the 3. Then they use magic to carefully lift the 3 and the parts before leaving the ship as it sank.

Doranbolt then used another ship to return to the mainland while Lahar remained behind to search for other survivors. That might have been the case, because Ben and co survived Acnologia's attack. But those three would die if they aren't treated soon.

Doranbolt and his men move to the mainland quickly while some medical personnel try to examine the conditions of Ben and co. It was worse than they thought, especially regarding Ben. They told Doranbolt that no one in the Magic Council is skilled enough to treat Ben.

Doranbolt was frustrated because he couldn't let them die. He felt guilty after everything he did and that he couldn't even help them fight Acnologia. So he at least needed to make sure Ben and co survived this.

He racked his brain and then eventually remembered something. "Let's go to Magnolia. She might be able to help them. Prepare the small airship fast! Please help us arrive in time"
