"I'll be honest, I'm not a medic." Kenshin admitted this wasn't his area of expertise.
"Maybe not, but I like your idea." Mira replied.
"Sunlight heals." Bella added.
"Yeah, Ben told me about that before. In the past when he was a lot weaker than he is now, Ben was badly injured after fighting a demon. He was being treated in a hospital. It was then that he found out about this ability. During the day, his wounds healed quickly and during the night, they healed slowly. He assumed that it was because of the sunlight that shined through the windows." Mira explained.
Porylusica thought about it for a while before she sighed and agreed. She had done her best to heal Ben but his condition hasn't improved. She almost gave up because nothing she did worked and she was tired.
After taking one look at Ben's body, Kenshin figured out another way to heal him.
"It's no wonder you're revered as Fairy Tail's Wise God." She muttered.
She decided to put his theory to the test. She didn't have any other option at the moment. If sunlight was able to heal Ben, she needs to use it.
"Alright, but we'll take him inside if this doesn't work." Porylusica said.
"Fair enough." Kenshin conceded.
Mira nodded and then they take Ben outside on a stretcher. They move him slowly and carefully into the backyard. They put the stretcher down where the sunlight shines brightly and they move to the side.
Porylusica watched intensely to see any change in Ben's condition. Mira and Bella also watch with anticipation. They all hope that it will work even though Porlyusica was a bit skeptical about it.
Very slowly, they see Ben's skin color get better and return to normal. Kenshin's theory was proven correct. The solar energy that Ben absorbed was small and can only heal him that fast in his current condition. It is a very slow process but it was a lot faster compared to his progress lately.
Porylusica was surprised to see this was actually working. She never thought sunlight could be the best medicine for someone. But she also knew that it only worked for Ben. Still, she wanted to try researching it to find out if it could be used to heal others.
While Ben basked in the sunlight, Porlyusica, Mira and Bella talk to each other. Well, it wasn't really a talk, but Mira and Bella pouring their emotions. Porlyusica just listened to the two without interrupting them as Kenshin watched over Ben's recovery.
She knew that they need someone by their side who will listen to them now. Losing those who are close to you isn't an easy thing for anyone to accept. Even the evilest person would cry if they lost their loved ones.
They stay like that until the day ended. As the sky darkened, the sunlight disappeared. Ben wouldn't get any more solar energy today, so they take him inside. They take him to his room lined by a rune formation.
"Taking him outside and inside every day doesn't seem like a good idea. I think we need to make sure the sunlight enters his room rather than take him outside." Porlyusica said.
"But he won't get the sunlight all day if we do that. Even if we install windows on the wall, this room will only get sunlight in the morning when the sun is still in the east. It won't enter that because of the rooms above and to the west will block it." Mira noted.
"I never said we would use this room." Porlyusica said.
"A glass room on the top of this tree...like a greenhouse." Kenshin quickly figured out what she meant. "The panes of glass are see through so more sunlight will penetrate them."
The old woman nodded.
"How will we build it though?" Mira asked.
"I don't know. Just ask those guys in the guild and they will think about it. At least this will give them something to do. Those guys haven't done anything useful lately." Porlyusica said scornfully.
Mira just laughed wryly because she can imagine them just drinking in the guild all day without doing any work. But she also knew they were shocked by the incident and aren't in the mood to do any work.
The next day, Porylusica called the mages in the guild and told them about the plan to build the glass room for Ben. She didn't ask, rather she ordered them, so they didn't have the right to refuse. They weren't going to refuse anyway because it was for Ben's recovery, but they had no idea how to build it.
Ben's 11 disciples told the others that they will find a way and immediately go for it. They go to every craftsman in Magnolia to find the person that can construct it. As for the fee, everyone in the guild agreed to use the guild's funds, so they don't need to worry.
But it wasn't that easy to find a craftsman who can do it because it's quite difficult to build a room on a tree. The 11 walked around the city all day before they found someone who can do it. It's a old man who was about to retire from his job as a construction worker.
The old man started the job the next day with his two sons. Their job is good and fast even though the location was difficult. They need to build the glass room high above the tree so that sunlight shined on it all day.
The hardest part was actually making the strong pillars that will hold the glass room above the tree. This is what the other craftsmen aren't able to make. But the old man and his sons could build it in less than a day, they are really good.
They finally finish after three days even though there were only three of them. The glass room was shaped like a dome with 1 main pillar and 4 other pillars to support it. There are stairs with a roof to connect the room to the tree house.
The mages immediately take Ben to the glass room. Porlyusica established a rune formation to stabilize Ben's condition during the night. He still needs it because he is very weak even though he had improved over the last three days.
Now, they can only wait for Ben to recover with the help of solar energy. Porylusica predicted that he will recover in 2 or 3 months at most with his current healing speed. It can even be faster or slower because she doesn't fully understand how this works.
"You're sure he will recover, right?" Macao asked.
"He will. So do some work and stop lazying around like you have been lately!" Porlyusica yelled while chasing them away with her broom.
The mages run back to Magnolia after being chased. They were relieved that Ben would recover. But they still don't know if they'll do any work soon. They've become very lazy after they didn't do anything for days.
Inside the tree house, Porylusica prepared Mira and Bella's medicine. They still haven't fully recovered and need medicine. She took the medicine to the new glass room where Mira and Bella are. They stay by Ben's side during this time.
Mira and Bella help Porlyusica take care of Ben, even if it wasn't much. They take care of his daily needs like cleaning his body or changing his clothes. His metabolism started to return to normal, so he needed extra care since he hadn't woken up.
The two kept it up every day while Porlyusica kept checking on Ben's progress. He started to improve a lot faster as his condition got better. Then, a month after first entering the glass room, he opened his eyes.
