"Okay, show me," Charlie said. "What's wrong with my car?"

"It's nothing about this particular car," Sybbie insisted. "It's just, these cars always have problems. They're just not reliable."

"Maybe some people just aren't careful with them."

"Fine," Sybbie replied. "Tell me what you do to maintain this thing?"

Charlie looked blank and said nothing.

"Hey," Sybbie tried to assure him, "as long as you're changing the oil, it shouldn't get too bad."

"Oh, right," Charlie mumbled, looking away. "I think it's getting a bit chilly, maybe we should go back inside the dance hall?"

"I'm not cold," Sybbie replied.
