A/N: For the last one-shot of February 2022, I actually received this from an old friend... Unfortunately, she was unable to make it this time around to do the A/N. However, she did leave this note along side it:
"Wassup! Sorry I couldn't show up for this one... But I'm sure it's safe in your capable hands, so I trust that you can share the great word that is my writing. Until next time!
-The Greatest Protagonist/Amazing Author, Neptune.
P.S. Nepgear says hi.
P.P.S. I had Blanc look at the first part, and she said I should have other perspectives of the story, so I hope I did good!"
With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy!
Hyperdimension Symphogear, Part 2
Earth
Once the light faded from the surprise attack, I quickly located the Alchemist, only to see her laughing like a madwoman. "Hey! Care to explain what's so funny?" I ask. "Your attack failed and I'm still standing."
"Oh, but you see, my attack did work, little miss swordswoman." The Alchemist chuckled. "But I guess you somehow managed to avoid being affected by it."
"What?"
"You're still confused? Perhaps one of your friends could help fill in the blanks... If they were here, that is."
I checked my surroundings and, true to her word, everyone else was gone. "What did you do to them?!" I ask as I charged at her, fearing the worst had befallen Maria, Tachibana, and the others. But no matter how many times I tried to strike her down, she managed to avoid my blade effortlessly until, as I swung my last strike, she grabbed my blade like it was nothing. "Wh-What?"
"Calm yourself. Your friends aren't dead... Yet." The Alchemist calmly stated. "Besides, I need that "Godkiller" of yours alive to deal with some pests of my own."
Godkiller? Wait... Does that mean what I think it means? "What are you planning to do to Tachibana!"
The Alchemist sighed. "Good grief, you're so angry that even banter seems like a waste of time. Didn't I tell you to calm yourself!" Without warning, her grip on my blade tightened as she pulled me closer as she aimed another blast of magic right at my stomach, sending me flying backwards and knocking me to the ground. "Besides, even explaining anything to you would be a waste of my time anyway."
"You..."
"I'll be sure to send your friends my regards before I actually kill them off." The Alchemist spoke of murder like it was nothing, which only made me want to stop her even more, but I could barely even stand as is... "I hope they actually put up more of a fight than you did."
She laughed as she began to open a portal behind herself. Was I really going to lose everyone again... No! I can't give up now! I have to save them as they've saved me several times before. How else will I be able to call myself a true Sakimori?
"You're not going anywhere!" I shout as I quickly get to my feet and chase after the fleeing Alchemist. I could hear Elfnein and my uncle barely through my earpiece, but my body refused to listen to the words they were trying to tell me. I was focused on one thing: getting to that shrinking portal. It took all of my remaining strength, but I barely managed to make it before either the portal closed or my Gear failed me.
I didn't know where or when I was heading, but I could tell it would be where that Alchemist took my friends. So, for now, I'll let this portal take me to my destination as I gather whatever strength I can. I just hope the others are okay...
Lastation Basilicom
It's a beautiful day in Lastation, especially now that all of my duties as its Goddess have wrapped up for the week. And now... It's time for my sister and I to take today off. "Nothing like taking some time for ourselves after a long week's work, right sis?" My sister, Uni, asked me.
"I couldn't have said it better myself, Uni." I happily reply. "And, for once, it's just the two of us. No surprise visits from Neptune, no strange alternate dimension Goddesses falling from the sky, nothing! It's just... Blissful silence on the balcony." I let out a satisfied sigh as I take a sip of my glass of tea. "I see why Neptune enjoys slacking off at times like this."
"Umm, yeah... You might not want to get too comfortable yet, sis." Uni said in a more concerned manner than before. "You might want to look at this!"
I opened my eyes to see what Uni was mentioning. Needless to say, I was shocked to see what looked like six falling lights dispersing all over Gamindustri, one of which was heading right for Uni!
"Killter Ichaival tron"
"Uni look out!" Instinctively, I pushed my sister out of the way of where the red ball of light was heading, becoming the crash pad for yet another mysterious falling thing.
"Noire!" I heard my sister call out to me. "Hey! Get off of my sister!"
"Huh? Your sister? But I don't see-" Another voice called out from above me. Judging by their cut-off sentence, I think they realized I was under them. "Shit! Sorry about that!"
The stranger got off of me, allowing me to get off of the ground and see who fell on me this time. The stranger in question was a woman in red armor with long white hair. "Are you okay, lady?" The stranger asked.
"I'm fine. I'm used to having people use me as a landing pad at this point..." I say as I brush off some dust from my sleeves.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Long story." Uni said.
"Now then, let me guess. You're a Goddess from some alternate dimension's Gamindustri, right?" I ask bluntly.
"Goddess? 'Game Industry'?" The stranger asked. "You sure you're okay?"
"Excuse me?" I ask. "Look, things may be a little less formal where you're in charge, but at least I try to show some respect."
"What was that?" The stranger retorted. "Look, I may not know where on Earth I am, but I'm not about to let some teenager act like someone falling thousands of feet from the sky and directly on top of them didn't injure them in the slightest!"
"The nerve!" I gasp. "I'll have you know this 'teenager' is the Goddess of Lastation, and you'd do well to treat me with respect!"
"Okay, let's all take a second to calm down now!" Uni said. "Noire, I'm sure they didn't mean what they said, so just calm down before either of you do something you'll regret."
The stranger scoffed. "Fine..." Suddenly, the stranger was engulfed in a red light before their armor was replaced with a more casual attire (It looks oddly familiar though... Maybe I saw a cosplayer wearing it before?) "Let's just start over from the beginning, yeah? Name's Chris Yukine. I work for the Japanese government agency known as S.O.N.G. and I Wielder the Symphogear relic Ichaival. Does that answer your questions, your Holiness?"
"It most certainly does. Thank you." I say, refusing to acknowledge the sarcasm of the final comment. "As for us, I am Noire and this is my sister, Uni. We are the Goddess of Lastation, the eastern nation of Gamindustri."
"Feel like I would've heard of a place called 'Game Industry' by now." Chris said.
"That's because it's pronounced Gamindustri, not 'Game Industry'." I clarify.
"Potato Patato!" Chris retorted. "Regardless, not a place I've heard of in Japan."
"Japan?" I ask. "I don't believe a nation like that exists in this dimension."
Chris pinched the bridge of her nose when I said this. "I feel like that's just gonna be a can of worms I don't want to open up... Regardless of where I am, did you happen to see anyone else falling from the sky? Specifically a brown-haired idiot, her black-haired girlfriend, a woman with long pink hair, or two girls who practically do everything together?"
"I can't say I have..." I answer, before getting an idea. "But I might know someone who can help."
"That'd be nice." Chris said. "So, where do I need to go to find them? Are they far?"
"On foot, they would be." I state. "But we aren't walking anywhere."
"O-kay? Then, how are we gonna-" Chris was cut off as I began my own transformation into Black Heart. "Hold on, you have a Symphogear too?"
"A Symphogear? No, this is my Goddess form." I clarify for Chris. "In this form, I am known as Lady Black Heart, but you may continue calling me Noire if it's easier to remember."
"I think I'll stick to 'your Holiness' for now." Chris said, much to my dismay... "So, how does this help us find this person you were talking about?"
As an answer to her question, I simply started to fly. "By flying there of course! Uni?" Uni nodded as she too transformed into her Goddess form and began to fly.
"Oh great, she's able to become a god too..." Chris said. "Look, that's cool and all, but I can't fly like you two can. Not without a lot of phonic gain, that is."
"I figured that was the case." I motioned for Uni to follow my lead as I started to fly closer to Chris. "Which is why we'll carry you there. You can thank us later." Before Chris could refuse, Uni and I each took one of her hands and started to carry her as we flew off towards Planeptune's Basilicom.
"Hey! Put me down!" Chris yelled as we began to take flight, struggling to break loose from our grip.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." I said. "Just relax and we'll put you down once we reach Planeptune. Unless you want to walk there in what would take a few days longer?"
Chris glared at me as I said that, before eventually giving up her struggle. "...Fine. But this trip better be worth it..."
Oh Chris... If only you knew what was waiting for us. "And here I was hoping I could actually enjoy my day off without seeing Neptune..."
S.O.N.G. HQ
I'm still trying to process what happened to Hibiki-san and the others. And then Tsubasa-san chased after that strange Alchemist into her own portal, which only made things difficult for myself, the Commander, and everyone here at HQ. "Commander? What should we do?"
The Commander let out a long sigh as he collected his thoughts. "Well, first order of business, we need to alert the other universes about this Alchemist so we can at least try to stop her." He said, before turning to Aoi-san and Sakuya-san. "Get in touch with any alternate universe Wielders you can!"
Suddenly, the door to the command center opens as two familiar faces walk in. "Wassup, Boss?" Kanade-san said.
"Kanade! Serena-kun!" The Commander cheered. "Thank you for answering our SOS as fast as you did!"
"SOS?" Serena-san asked. "But we didn't receive any messages like that."
"Oh?" The Commander was surprised to hear this. "Then your timing couldn't be better."
"Is everything okay over here?" Kanade-san asked.
"Well, not exactly, Kanade-san." I answer. "You see, this mysterious purple-skinned Alchemist showed up and made Hibiki-san and the others disappear. Tsubasa-san wasn't sent with them, but she managed to follow the Alchemist through a portal, and now we have no idea where any of them are."
"Everyone's missing?!" They asked.
"Unfortunately, yes." The Commander continued. "And now we're afraid we have no clue what this person is planning or if they're going to go to any of the other universes with Wielders and cause trouble there."
"How can we help, Genjuro-san?" Serena asked the Commander.
"Seeing that this could end up being a multi-universal threat if left alone, I need one of you to alert the other universes about this and ask if they could lend a hand while the other waits here while Elfnein-kun tries to track down our Wielders and deal with any threats that may happen in the meantime." The Commander said.
"We'll take turns doing both." Serena-san suggested. "That way we're not tiring ourselves out with fighting and recruiting."
"Sounds like a good plan, Serena-kun." The Commander said. "Any objections, Kanade?"
"Fine by me." Kanade-san replied. "I'll alert the other versions of Hibiki-chan, the Tsubasas, and Chris and Serena can handle the other versions of herself, her sister, and Shirabe and Kirika."
"I'll let you two decide who goes first, just make sure you're careful, got it?" The Commander asked.
"Yes, sir!" They replied as they hurried off to the Gjallarhorn room.
"I'll do what I can to find them, Commander!" I say as I follow after them.
"Good luck!" I hear the Commander shout as the doors close behind me.
Thank you, Commander. I know I'll need it if I'm going to find everyone...
A/N: And with that, we end the one-shot!
I've wanted to revisit this story for quite some time now because I really enjoyed making the first part. If anything, I might alternate working on a full version of this story between my current major fics and another one I'm working on in between them. Of course, that all comes down to if you all would want to see it or not.
Anyway, thank you for reading this one-shot. I shall see you all in the next one!
