Ben, Mira, Bella and Porylusica head to Tenrou Island two days after Ben requested it. They wanted Ben to compose himself first before they go. Besides, he can't ride in anything but a car, so they can't go anywhere.
They will take Ben's Light Runner because it is fast and can move on any terrain, even the sea. But it was stored in Ben's spatial storage mark so only he can take it out. Also, only Ben knew how to drive it because it contained many unique mechanisms that only Ben knew about. Kenshin would also be joining them.
"Ben, let's head back to the guild first to tell everyone that we're leaving. They would be worried if they can't find us." Mira advised.
Ben just nodded and didn't say anything. He took Light Runner out of his storage mark and they all get into the car. Ben sat in the driver's seat, Mira and Bella take the front passenger seat while Porlyusica and Kenshin sat in the back. Then they drive to the guild and everyone there came out after seeing Ben's car.
"Mira, where do you want to go? Is Ben alright now?" Macao asked.
"He is better now, don't worry. We will go to where the island was. It's hard to believe what we just heard so we want to see it for ourselves." Mira said.
"Are you sure? Will you be okay?" Mina, one of Ben's disciples, asked.
"We'll be fine, so don't worry. Please take care of the guild while we're gone." Mira said.
"Alright, leave it to us. Just don't do anything rash and stay safe out there." Macao replied.
"Wait! I want to go too, please take me with you." Romeo, Macao's son begged.
"Romeo!?" Everyone exclaimed in surprise.
"Please, dad, it will be fine. These three will be with me, so I will be fine. They're all S-Class mages." Romeo pleaded.
"But-" Macao said, worried.
"It's okay, Macao. I will take care of Romeo." Mira reassured him.
Macao thought about it before nodding.
"Then I'll leave Romeo to you. Romeo, listen to them and don't do anything on your own! If you can't do that, then I won't allow you to go out again." He said.
"Alright, I promise." Romeo said as he got into the backseat.
Mira bid them farewell and then the group left the guild hall. Everyone in the guild hall was worried but they could only let them go. It was their right to know the truth and the best way to know it is by seeing it.
The group leaves Magnolia and quickly drove to Hargeon. Porylusica and Romeo, who had never been in the Light Runner before, were scared by it's speed. Mira tried to calm them down but they can't calm themselves down with such speed.
When they reach Hargeon Port, Porylusica and Romeo bend down to puke. It's really worth praise that they can hold it in until they reached Hargeon Port. Well, they were too afraid to even think of puking on the way here.
Unfortunately, they still need to stay on Light Runner to cross the ocean. They ride Light Runner in boat mode and it jumped every so often because of the waves. The two were scared again even though it didn't drive across the water as fast as it did on land.
Fortunately, they didn't need to suffer too much longer because they soon arrive at their destination. They've reached the area where Tenrou Island once was. Sadly, there was no island, only the open sea.
Ben had checked the map that A.I Chip had recorded so they weren't in the wrong place. Four of them have gloomy expressions and Mira even started to cry, making Bella cry too. Ben wasn't willing to give up and he wanted to check underneath the ocean.
Light Runner converted into a submarine and it dived underwater. Ben used his Light Magic to light up the dark depths of the sea. He overdid his magic and made the water really bright because he wants to see everything.
They can see many kinds of life and things in the sea. But there was no trace of Tenrou Island. There's only a trace of destruction on where the island once was. The seafloor was caved in because of Acnologia's attack.
Now, a majority of them were sure the island had disappeared. They return to the surface and Ben was no longer able to hold his emotions in. He cried loudly, followed by Romeo. Porlyusica also shed some tears after seeing it herself.
Kenshin looked around the area, feeling a strange sensation.
"Hey, do you guys feel something off?" He asked the other four.
Porlyusica, Romeo and Ben stopped crying.
"I know I've felt something similar before." Kenshin's eyes narrowed. "There's faint magic power in this area."
"What? Really?" Mira asked.
"I feel it too. Something is preventing it from coming out." Ben answered.
"So they're safe?" Mira asked once again.
"Maybe. The chance is high." Ben said with a relieved tone.
"Why do you think so?" Porlyusica asked.
"Someone cast a spell to protect them from Acnologia's attack." Kenshin answered.
'I can think of someone who's capable of this. Our guild's 1st master.' He thought.
"How are you two able to find it?" Romeo asked.
"Probably because we're both Fairy Tail mages and I have a strong magic sense. Our guild marks aren't just decorations, they are linked to each other and can help us find each other. Also, I have a strong bond with Wendy and Carla. If Bella and Mira have a strong magic sense, they will be able to sense it too." Ben explained.
Everyone was relieved because they now knew their friends and family were safe.
"But what will happen next? When will they come out?" Porlyusica asked, worried.
"I don't know, I can't predict it unless I know what spell was used. But I'm sure that the caster has thought about it and the spell will be canceled one day. It could be a few days, weeks, months or even years." Ben said.
"Can't we do something about it? It would be fine if it was just a few days or weeks, but what if it takes a few years or even decades?" Mira asked.
"We'd have to know what kind of spell it is. As soon as we return, I'm going to access our guild's library." Kenshin answered.
"Good idea." Ben nodded in agreement.
"That's...how will we find it among so many spells in the world? Also, if it's a hidden or forbidden spell, then normal mages like us won't have any chance to find it." Mira said.
"Let me worry about finding it." Kenshin insisted.
"In the meantime, I will get stronger. Strong enough to kill a dragon. The one that caused this, I will surely kill him. I am a Dragon Slayer, so I need to obtain the power to slay a dragon. But I haven't slayed a dragon yet, so I'm not a true Dragon Slayer. I will slay Acnologia and become a true Dragon Slayer." Ben declared.
"I'm sure you can do that. But don't force it upon yourself, alright?" Mira asked.
"Mira's right, there's no need to be that strong if you aren't fine. You should know that there are people who are worried about you like you are worried about them." Porlyusica said.
"I know, granny, I never plan to hurt myself. I've never hurt myself just to get stronger." Ben replied.
The others weren't convinced but they didn't say anything.
"But how will you find the spell?" Mira asked.
"By becoming a Wizard Saint." He answered, staring out at sea.
