Charlie stood looking under the hood of the stalled car.
"I think you're going to need to take the car in to a proper mechanic," he said.
"I don't see anything wrong," the lieutenant insisted.
"That's why I said you should get it to a mechanic," Charlie sighed,
He heard some women laughing, and saw Sybbie and her friend approaching. He waved her over.
"What seems to be the matter?" she asked, then looked at the car. "Oh."
"Here's your mechanic," Charlie declared.
The lieutenant had his arms crossed, scowling at him.
"Fine, explain it to me," he told her.
