Eyes of Fury
Chapter 2 Creation and Will
Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
Chakravartin and Aesir worked long and hard together creating Gaea and the various creatures and beings on it. Aesir took some inspiration from a couple of realms he had previously traveled through and created two separate realms to coexist alongside Gaea. One of the realms was a ethereal beautiful place, suffused in a heavenly golden glow, with floating islands of beautiful vegetation called Paradiso. The other realm was a chaotic and mostly barren wasteland covered in dark storm clouds called Inferno.
Aesir filled the realm of Paradiso with creatures he called Angels. The Angels had marble-like skin, gold and ivory armor, and frequently extravagant golden halos made of light. Aesir filled the realm of Inferno with creatures called Demons. The Demons were monstrous creatures with horns and terrifying features.
Chakravartin was impressed by Aesir's work and was inspired by it. He created another realm that coexisted by Gaea and the other realms called Naraka. Naraka consisted of an endless number of massive pillars of intricate designs ranging from tortured faces to decorated structures all connecting to a bottomless pit of nothingness. It was a realm that connected to both Inferno and Paradiso.
The purpose of these three realms was to deal with the souls of the dead. The dead would arrive in Naraka and either fall into Inferno or rise to Paradiso. Inferno was a place of punishment for those who lived wicked lives, while Paradiso was a place of rewards for those who lived good and just lives.
Chakravartin also created a being of pure rage called Vlitra and placed it in the core of Gaea. Vlitra was incredibly powerful and capable of creating monstrous creatures called Goham to serve and do it's will. Chakravartin told Aesir that Vlitra's purpose was to serve as humanity's nemesis and to push them to their limits as the ultimate test. He wanted a human strong enough to defeat Vlitra, so they could inherit Gaea and rule the planet. Aesir found the whole test a bit outrageous and cruel and voiced his opinion about it, but Chakravartin refused to remove the test saying it was for humanity's good.
Aesir felt pity for the humans, especially since they lacked free will to truly think for themselves. This gave the God of Chaos to give humanity of free will. It was a big gift and one Aesir was going to have to make a great sacrifice for. Aesir approached Chakravartin and told him what he planned to do. At first Chakravartin was shocked by this, but he was also very curious about what would happen to humanity. Aesir looked down at Gaea and stuck his hands out towards the humans.
"I grant you humans the gift of free will! Use it to shape your lives and your futures!"
Aesir's red and blue eyes flew from his head and flew off into the distance striking a human male and a human female. The God of Chaos then literally split in half and those two halves seemed to shrink down into two smaller beings before they both vanished in a flash of light. Aesir had split himself into two separate beings in order to give the humans free will. The two halves along with Aesir's eyes were out in Gaea.
"Let's see how this will play out." Said Chakravartin.
To be continued.
