Chapter 5 Lovers 2

As the Shinkoku Trastrium and it's allies spent many years fighting the Goham. Over the years several of the weaker variations of the Goham were captured to be used for training future warriors as well as to be studied. One day a inspiring and daring young Umbra Witch named Anna decided to do something bold to increase her own standing in the clan as well as help better understand and fight the Goham. Anna planned to form a pact with one of the captured Goham.
Anna figured that the Goham were very similar to demons and forming a pact with one shouldn't be too difficult. She met with Grand Elder Hel, head of the Umbra Witches, Grand Elder Odin, head of the Lumen Sages, and Emperor Strada the ruler of Shinkoku Trastrium and proposed her plan to them. At first the rulers were against Anna's plan, but after some persistence they eventually gave in and agreed to the plan. A Goham that resembled a gorilla that was called a Primary Howler was selected from the captured Goham, a guard unit consisting of Umbra Witches, Lumen Sages, a squad of Doji, and one Rasho from Shinkoku Trastrium were assembled, and a remote place in a desert was selected for the pact to be made. Balder and Rosa were among the guard unit.
The team headed out to the desert and the Primary Howler was chained up to the ground. Anna took a deep breath as she approached the chained up beast.
"I, Anna of the Umbra Witches wish to make a pact Goham." Said Anna as the air on her head began to lengthen and extend towards the Goham.
The hair reached the Goham and began to wrap around the creature allowing Anna to make contact with the beast's mind and see into it. Unfortunately for Anna she got more then she bargained for, since the Goham was connected to Vlitra itself! Anna's mind was bombarded by the pure rage that was Vlitra. Images of death, destruction, and rage filled Anna's mind and it was just too much! Anna's eyes and nose began to drip blood as she screamed and yanked her hair away from the Goham.
"The rage! The rage! Vlitra will slaughter us all!" Screamed Anna in fear.
Before any of the guard unit could go over and try to tend to the panicking witch the ground in the area began to shake and a enormous shape burst from the ground. It was a enormous Goham that had the body of a turtle and the long body of a cobra serving as it's head. This variation of the Goham was know as the Goham Striker and it was considered the strongest and most feared of the land Goham.
"All units prepare for battle! Call for backup and hold the line, until reinforcements arrive!" Ordered the Rasho to the other guards.
A few Doji jumped onto some hover platforms to take flight, while the Umbra and the Lumen summoned some feathery wings that allowed them to take flight and combat the Goham Striker. They all began to attack the beast, but their attacks seemed to have very little affect on the enormous Goham. The Goham Striker focussed on Anna and the chained up Goham and it opened it's mouth wide to unleash a fiery red blast of energy at them. Anna just stood their as both she and the chained up Goham were completely incinerated on the spot.
"No!" Yelled Rosa in both anger and dismay at the death of a fellow witch.
Rosa flew at the Goham Striker and blasted away at it with her guns. The Goham Striker turned it's attention to Rosa and lunged at her with it's jaws wide open intending to devour the witch. Just when Rosa was going to meet a violent end, Balder came flying in with his double bladed Holy Glaive and stabbed the Goham Striker in the side of the head knocking it back. Rosa stared at Balder in both amazement and gratitude as Balder yanked his blade out of the Goham Striker's head and flew towards Rosa.
"Are you alright?" Asked Balder.
Rosa nodded her head and then her eyes went wide in alarm as she saw the Goham Striker recover and lunge at her and Balder. Rosa quickly used her magic to summon one of the demons she made a pact with.
"PDEE BARMA!" Said Rosa as her hair stretched out and a demon emerged.
The demon was named Madama Khepri and resembled a large beautiful woman with scarab beetle features. Madama Khepri saw the oncoming Goham Striker and flew forward to deliver a couple of punches to it's head and face knocking the beast back. Balder decided to assist by pulling out a peacock feather and tossed it into the air to summon an angel he formed a pact with.
"HONONOL!" Said Balder and a enormous angel that was a bit bigger then Madam Khepri descended from the sky.
The angel was called Temperantia. He loosely resembled a knight, though without legs and his head was in his chest. Temperantia's arms were attached to his body via an orange light, and rotating golden rings. On the end of these arms were four tube-like appendages that acted as fingers. Temperantia saw the Goham Striker and clenched his long tentacle fingers into fist before he delivered a few big punches of his own to the beast's head sending the Goham staggering.
Madam Khepri and Temperantia saw each other and exchanged brief glares. Demons and Angels had a fierce hatred towards each other and the Umbra and the Lumen usually tried to avoid summoning the powerful beings to the same area to prevent them from getting into fights with each other. Thankfully in this case there was a powerful Goham in the area and the Demons and Angels hated the Goham more then each other, so Madam Khepri and Temperantia were willing to put aside their hatred for each other and focus on the Goham Striker. It also helped that both Balder and Rosa had a good pact with their respective summon.
The Goham Striker tried to fire a energy blast from his mouth at the Demon and Angel, but both Madam Khepri and Temperantia struck the big beast multiple times in the head canceling it's attack. Temperantia then conjured up a large whirlwind that lifted the Goham Striker into the air and Madam Khepri slammed into from the side knocking the Goham through the air and making it crash onto it's back. The Goham Striker tried to get back up, but Temperantia pointed his fingers at it and began to fire energy bullets from them striking the beast multiple times. After a couple of minutes Temperantia stopped firing and the Goham Striker laid still. It seemed the battle was over. Rosa and Balder quickly dismissed their summons.
The rest of the guard unit began to cheer in victory, but then the Goham Striker began to stir and get back to it's feet. Before anyone could do anything a flaming object suddenly fell from the sky and right on top of the Goham smashing through it's shell, shattered it's spinal column, and finally killed the beast. Rosa, Balder, and the others watched in stunned silence as the object revealed itself to be Asura of the Eight Guardian Generals.
Asura was a heavily built and muscular man with tanned skin and red mechanical markings on his body. His arms had a robotic appearance, his hair was spiky and white, and his eyes were white and emitted a white glow. Asura wore white and red flame patterned hakama neatly tucked into a golden ceremonial greaves and epaulets on his shoulders. He also wore a white sash.
Asura looked down at the dead Goham and then he looked at Balder and Rosa.
"I see the pact plan with the Goham failed, but you two worked well together and handled this Goham Striker very well. Keep up the good work. This war is far from over and we're going to need people like you." Said Asura before he turned and leaped high office into the distance.
Both Balder and Rosa blinked in surprise at the complement and praise as their feelings for each other grew a little more that day.
