Chapter 15 Odd Child

At Shinto, Kalrow the General of Sloth and one of the Eight Guardian Deities was in his lab studying some unique energy signatures that had recently popped up on Gaea a few days ago.
Kalrow was an old man with a long white beard, eyebrows that connected to his balding, pointed hair, and had a monocle over his right eye, resembling a metal eye-patch with a black swirl on it. He bore white markings consisting of circular and linear designs on his hands and face. He wore robes which draped over his body and resemble the attire of a Buddhist monk. He also wielded a staff that has wheels and a platform, functioning like a segway. Kalrow usually got around using the staf.
Kalrow was a scientist and strategist, who's main job was to develop weapons and come up with strategies for Shinkoku Trastrium. Right now he was interested in the two unique energy signatures that were on his screen. These were worth investigating. One energy signature was closer then the other and Kalrow being lazy decided to check it out first. Kalrow summoned Wyzen and some troops and they all headed out on Kalrow's personal flagship.
Elsewhere Bayonetta, Balder, Rosa, and Asura were out in the field by some ruins taking out a large number of Gohma that had shown up there, which was odd since not many humans lived out there to warrant the attention of a large number of Gohma. Bayonetta had just taken down a group of Howlers, when a flying group of Gohma that resembled manta rays called Stingers flew onto the scene, but instead of attacking Bayonetta they flew right past her.
"Well that was both unusual and rude." Muttered Bayonetta as she ran after the Stingers.
They came across a clearing where the Stingers joined up with a group of Howlers as they circled and tried to attack a teenage boy. The boy had ice blue eyes and silver hair, done up in corn rows. He has a blue mark shaped like hour glass turned on its side in the middle of his forehead. The teen had a dark skin and wore a green and yellow sleeveless hoodie with baggy orange pants, as well as various gold jewelry and what looks like prayer beads near his shoes. He also wore goggles around his neck in most circumstances. His shoes were teal and white sneakers, partly covered by his pants.
Bayonetta watched with a bit of awe as the strange boy expertly flipped and dodge all the Gohmas' attacks before he threw what appeared to be glowing blue cards at the monsters that struck and instantly killed them. A couple more Howlers showed up and rushed the boy.
"These punters don't know when to quit? What'd I ever do to them?" Said the teen aloud as he prepared to fight the new threat.
Bayonetta decided to assist and expertly shot the Howlers in the head killing them. The teen spun around to face Bayonetta.
"Who the heck are you love?" Asked the teen eyeing Bayonetta.
"I go by many names. Cereza or Bayonetta will do." Said Bayonetta as she walked over to the boy.
"You don't really strike me as a Cereza, love. I'll just call you Bayonetta." Said the teen.
"Very well. Now who are you and why were the Goham interested in you?" Said Bayonetta.
"Gohma?" Asked the teen looking a little confused.
"The monsters that were attacking you. They've been a plague to the world since the very beginning. Pretty much everyone knows about them." Said Bayonetta as she studied the boy.
"Goham... I think I remember them now. Bloody things have been stalking me for days. The names Loki by the way." Said the teen.
"So Loki, you seem to be able to take care of yourself and you have some unique powers. Care to tell me how you got them. It could explain why the Goham are after you." Said Bayonetta.
"I've had them as long as I can remember, which...isn't really much now that I think about it." Said Loki looking both frustrated and confused.
Loki was certainly turning out to be a strange boy. Bayonetta decided she needed to take the teen to Shinto to get him looked at, but before she could say or do anything the ground suddenly began to shake and a enormous Goham that resembled a lion fish called a Glider burst out of the ground beneath Loki and swallowed the teen in one gulp and flew into the sky. Three more Gliders burst out of the ground and joined the first one.
"What's going on?" Asked Rosa as she, Balder, and Asura joined Bayonetta's side.
"Honestly I don't know. There was a boy with strange powers named Loki and a Goham just swallowed him up and flew away." Said Bayonetta pointing up at the sky.
"Look!" Said Asura pointing up at a enormous shape in the sky.
It was a Goham that resembled a barnacle called a Carrier. The four Gliders flew towards the Carrier.
"Well this just keeps getting interesting." Said Balder.
"Which one took the kid?" Asked Rosa.
"Not sure. We each have to take one." Said Bayonetta.
"Fine by me." Said Asura.
Bayonetta, Rosa, and Balder used their magic to sprout wings and took flight, while Asura leaped into the air and flew after the Gliders.
