The Nanny

Mercedes laughed as Stevie splashed her in the pool. "Oh, it's on, Stevie!" She said, splashing him back.

Stevie laughed as he yelled out to Stacey to help him, but she moved to Mercedes's side and helped her splash her brother.

Stevie looked at her. "The betrayal! Stacey, we are twins!"

"Girl's over, boys!" Stacey yelled as Sam came out into the backyard.

"What's going on over here?" Sam asked, removing his sunglasses.

Everyone stopped splashing as they moved to the edge of the pool, but Sam couldn't stop his eye from roaming over Mercedes's body. She wore an elegant two-piece; the top was a tank top and a pair of swim shorts. But as tasteful as it was, it couldn't hide her curves, and his eyes ran up her body, stopping at her breast, still as glorious as he remembered them.

He was taken out of his thoughts when he heard Stevie's voice. "Sammy! Sam, I need your help! Stacey and Mercedes are attacking me!" Stevie said, wiping his face. "You have to come into the water and help defend the honor of the Evans boys!"

Sam laughed. "I don't know, buddy…I have a ton of work to do."

"Come on, Sammy," Stevie said, followed by Stacey.

Mercedes smiled. "Yes, come on, Sammy." Mercedes teased. "Come get beat by Stacey and me."

Sam's eyes widened. "Excuse me?"

"You heard me. Guys, I think Sammy is scared he will get beat by us girls."

Sam laughed. "Give me five minutes, and then Stevie, you and I will show these girls why you don't mess with the Evans boys."

Mercedes laughed, shaking her head. When she decided to work for the Evans, she and Sam decided to take their whatever it was between them, slow.

But that didn't stop them from texting each other, it would start with her telling him about the twins, and then it would move to them asking how each other's days were and so on and so forth.

Mercedes smiled, swimming around with the twins, when Sam walked out and smiled, waving to his siblings. Mercedes felt herself gulp for the first time in her life. Her eyes traveled to the way Sam's body had to be sculpted by God himself. He was an adonis with his perfectly tanned chest that held a six pack, his perfect biceps, she could stare at him for hours.

The kids took her out of her thoughts and she was grateful because she was drooling.

"Sammy! Lets kick their butts!"

Mercedes looked at Stacey, "Those poor boys don't know what they are doing do they?"

Stacey laughed. "Nope."

The game started out forcefully with Mercedes and Stacey taking no prisoners. That was until Sam was tired of being splashed and swam to Stacey picking her up and tossing her into the pool.

Stacey screamed and Stevie jumped up and down in the water. "Do Mercedes! Do Mercedes!"

Mercedes' eyes widened. "Sam! Sam, don't let listening to a little boy cost you your life.

Sam raised his eyebrow. "Oh it's like that?" He said stalking towards her.

Mercedes raised her hands in defense. "Sam…Sam I promise you don't want to-ahhh!"

Sam pulled her towards him and she screamed as he picked her up and tossed her into the water. She popped up and swam after Sam, dunking him in the water as the twins watched.

After a few moments, they were drying the twins off on the porch.

"You know, most women would have screamed about me messing up their hair." Sam said.

Mercedes shrugged. "The moment I knew I was getting in the pool with the twins, I knew my hair wouldn't stand a chance. I am just gonna wash it and let it curl naturally. It's fine."

Sam smiled. "Curls? I bet it's cute."

Stacey smiled. "I want curls!"

Mercedes looked at Sam. "How about Stacey and I go dry off, get our pj's on and curl our hair, you boys do the same and since your parents are out tonight we have a movie, pizza and sundae night? Unless Sam is busy of course."

Sam laughed. "Busy? No, but I was going to get a jump start on some work for next week, but for my favorite people I can spare an hour or two."

The twins jumped up and down and Mercedes smiled at him. "You are a sweet big brother, you remind me of mine actually. He would play with me and my little brother all the time even though he was 10 years older than us."

Sam smiled. "I bet you were a troublemaker…just like this one!" He said pulling Stacey to him and tickling her. Stacey screamed as Sam put her down. "Come let's get your hair all rolled up so you can have curls like mine in the morning."

Sam tickled Stacey once more before the girl ran after Mercedes.

Mercedes brushed Stacey's hair laughing as the young girl told her about her brothers.

"Stevie likes to think he is older than me like Sammy, but Stevie is only older by 3 minutes."

Mercedes laughed. "In his eyes that still makes him a big brother."

"Well I can't help it if he beat me out…mom says that he was always rushing. He was the first to kick her, and the first to come out and he didn't walk he ran! But I have always taken my time."

"There is nothing wrong with that sweetie. Besides, once you are older, that might change."

"Sam says I am not allowed to grow up. He says I have to stay his younger sister, that I am not allowed to grow up." She shrugged.

Mercedes laughed. "Sam has to say that as your big brother but there are some things even he can't control."

Mercedes put the last curl in Stacey's hair and rolled it up. Stacey looked at herself in the mirror. "Can I wrap my hair like yours?"

Mercedes nodded, pulling out another wrap from her bag. "I will let you wear this one! And you can keep it just because."

Stacey smiled. "You are so much nicer than the others…"

Mercedes looked at her. "The others?"

"The other nannies, they weren't really nice. One of them left us at the park and told us that she would grab us ice cream and then we had to call Sammy to come get us. The next one she found out Sammy wasn't into her and quit on the spot. They didn't want to be around us, they wanted Sammy or the money. They wouldn't swim with us, or ride bikes, all they would do is complain."

Mercedes leaned in and hugged Stacey. "Well let me be clear. I could use the money and Sam is great but I took the job because you and Stevie are really great. And I love spending time with you."

"We like you too."

Mercedes wrapped Stacey's hair and smiled. "Let's go get our pizza and movie night on! I am sure the boys are waiting on us."

Mercedes led Stacey out the room and laughed as they walked out and saw Sam and Stevie goofing around.

Stevie looked up and laughed. "What's that on your head?"

Mercedes patted her wrap. "It's a girl thing you wouldn't understand."

"Yeah you wouldn't understand." Stacey said proudly.

Going to the couch, the four of them spent the next two hours watching Spy Kids and half of Spy kids two before the twins were knocked out on the sofa. Mercedes glanced down seeing Stacey sleep against her and Stevie sleep against Sam.

"After swimming I am surprised they made it through the first movie let alone half of this one." Mercedes said, looking over to Sam.

"Thank you for convincing me to do this."

"You didn't need convincing Sam, we both know you wanted to join us, you just needed the invitation." Mercedes said.

"You really are different from the others, most can't wait for my attention, and here you've had it and you still are just about the twins." Sam smiled.

"They are my job and pretty awesome if I do say so myself. They make my job pretty easy." She looks around. "Speaking of which, I should get these two to bed and clean up."

Sam shook his head. "No, I know how heavy these two are, how about I get them to bed and then come back and help you clean?"

"Counter offer, how about you get them to bed, I clean, and you get back to the work you were supposed to be doing?"

Sam eyed her. "Counter, Counter offer. I get them to bed, grab my files and we sit out here and watch a movie?"

She laughed. "Well I suppose that wouldn't be so bad. I have to fold my laundry so we can both work and watch at the same time."

Sam nodded. "I have to make a phone call so…meet back here in…20?"

Her phone beeped and she smiled. "Sounds good…though you can just put them in the bunk beds here, that was your parents. They are staying the night and will be back to relieve me in the morning."

"You must be their good luck charm. They have been acting like they are on their second honeymoon or something and they have never trusted a Nanny enough to stay overnight."

"I am glad they trust me and that they feel comfortable enough with me to enjoy themselves."

"Me too." Sam said smiling. As he grabbed his siblings, one by one, Mercedes went to work on cleaning up the room. Once done she had gone to her room to gather her things, or should she said her suite. They basically gave her one of the three Mother in law suites on the property.

It was beautifully built, two bedrooms, a full, beautiful bathroom, a full kitchen, sitting area and living room. When Mercedes realized that the twins were spending a lot more time in her suite than their house, she asked their parents if she could buy bunk beds and the next day one was already set up.

The Evans may be a multi-billionaire family, but it was clear that they were a family first.

Mercedes had just finished folding her things when Sam walked in. She smiled as he sat next to her. "No work?"

"Why didn't you try to find me?"

She raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"We connected that night, and I don't just mean the sex. We sat there for hours and talked, really talked and when I finally got up the nerve to kiss you, it was magic, so tell me, why did you leave?"

Mercedes looked at him. "Sam I liked you, a lot and that night was amazing but I really did have a test and I was embarrassed I practically threw myself at you after we started kissing."

Sam smiled, moving closer to her. "I think we threw ourselves at each other. It's not like I was pushing you away."

"No you weren't, but what do you expect me to say? I don't do one night stands, so I don't know how to handle situations like that. I just wish I would have handled it better."

"Really? And why is that?"

Mercedes smiled. "So I could be working with your family sooner of course!" She teased.

Sam laughed, shaking his head. "I think it's more than that."

She inhaled deeply as Sam moved closer to her, turning her face to his. "I think it is. I think you couldn't get me off of your mind, just like I can't get you off of mine."

"Sam…"

Sam shook his head leaning into her. "Tell me not to kiss you Mercedes, if you tell me to stop, to walk away I will."

He turned her face to his. "Or tell me to kiss you, to put us both out of our misery and give in to this."

Mercedes looked at him. "Sam…I-"
