What Happened in Vegas?
Synopsis: Sam and Mercedes are best friends who are strictly platonic, but after a drunken night in Vegas, is that all they are?
Mercedes walked into their suite at the Bellagio and shook her head in disbelief. "This place is as beautiful and humongous as they said it was!"
When Santana suggested their friend group go on a trip to Vegas, she thought the Latina was out of her ever-loving mind. But it was confirmed they all needed a break. Santana was a district attorney, Bas was a Corporate Attorney, Blaine was the Music Director at his Alma mater, while Sam taught High School History and Football coach. And Mercedes and Brittany were both Pediatric Nurses.
Mercedes wasn't sure she wanted to be there; it was basically a couples getaway for everyone. Santana and Brittany had been together for a few years and after dancing around each other, Blaine and Sebastian finally got together. And Sam was bringing his girlfriend, so that meant she was going to be the sixth wheel.
Mercedes looked around the room, pulling her bag in with her. "San, this isn't gonna work; there are only three rooms… I am not spending my entire vacation sleeping on a damn couch."
"You don't have to worry about that; you and Sam are sharing a room. Since you guys are pathetically platonic."
"Isn't he bringing Penny, or Lexi, or whatever child's mother he is dating this week?"
"I knew you were jealous of my girls." she heard and turned behind her.
"Um, Ewww, stop all that you and I both know I do not care who you date; I just wish they were able to hold actual conversations. Why can't you get back with Quinn? We all really loved her."
"Quinn and I were not a good fit, better as friends than in a relationship. And Penny couldn't make it because she had a last-minute engagement." Sam said, moving past her as he bumped his with her hips.
"You always say that, but you never say why." Mercedes pointed out.
"That is the reason she and I are better as friends. She's moved on, and I plan to do the same."
Mercedes rolled her eyes. "Sam, it's been months; you still haven't gone longer than a month." She teased.
"Well, you and Anthony broke up a year ago, and you're still single, so why haven't you found someone?" He countered, and she let out a long sigh.
"Anthony is not a topic I wish to revisit…." She replied, throwing herself onto the bed. "Stupid asshole."
Sam chuckled, laying his head on her leg. "You still haven't told us what happened or why we had to get you out of jail that night…."
Mercedes groaned. "I'm not talking about that at all; I paid you all back and ate enough crow after my parents went off on me."
"No, see, now I want to know what happened because Anthony literally avoids eye contact with any of us now." Santana chimed in, and Mercedes couldn't hide her smirk.
"If he knows what's best for him, he'll stay far away from me and anyone I know." She snarked.
Sam turned over so that he could look at her. 'Tell us what happened, damnit." He demanded.
"No. He's a part of my past, and this conversation is officially over."
"Yeah, nah, it's not." Sam replied, sitting up then straddling her. "Tell us or regret it." He added, giving her a chance, and when she shook her head, he shrugged before he started tickling her.
"SAM!" She screamed while laughing and trying to wiggle from underneath him. "STAPP!"
"Nope, tell us what happened." He laughed.
Santana, Blaine, and Sebastian all shared a look before watching them fight each other. "You'd think they'd know how much chemistry they have by now," Blaine said, shaking his head.
"Please, they should've at least fallen into bed with each other by now. We all did it with our partners at least twelve times before we started dating. They should've had ten kids by now." Sebastian said, making them laugh.
"Look at them," Santana said, and they all turned their heads to the side, watching Mercedes flip them over so that she was on top before Sam flipped them so that she was on her back again. "They're basically having sex and don't even know it."
"Maybe we should look away…." Blaine suggested taking a step closer when Mercedes leaned in and bit Sam on the shoulder.
"How are they still clothed?" Bas asked, grabbing Blaine's arm and pulling him back. "They're obviously two very attractive people; I mean, we can all agree we'd tap both of them, right?"
Santana and Blaine nodded in agreement. "How the hell do her patients focus? Look at her ass." Santana pointed out, and they all looked at Mercedes' butt.
"I would be straight… ish." Blaine said. "Can you imagine if they were both nurses? Now, I'm having dirty thoughts about breaking my leg and them having sex while examing me."
"Wait, how the hell is she a nurse if she went to jail?" Bas asked, and Santana snickered.
"Her dad made a call…."
"Oh wow, look at him handle her…." Blaine said, basically salivating.
Santana wiggled. "Where the hell is Britt?" She asked before walking away to go find her.
Sebastian nodded. "We should go find her too…." He said to Blaine.
"Why? I wanna see how this ends." He protested, and Bas leaned in, whispering something in his ear. "It's not the first time we've seen them wrestle."
"I keep hoping the ending changes even though it won't… I think they need a push."
Bas shook his head. "No! No, we are not doing to them what they did to us."
"Turnabout is fair play Bas… everyone swears they are dating; do you want to know the real reason Penny didn't show up? The real reason Q left him, and all the other women don't stand a chance?" He turned Bas's head towards them, still playing around. "They see this, Sam and Mercedes doing this."
Sebastian laughed. "You can't be serious."
"Oh, I am serious. Penny told Sam she didn't want to be the third wheel because every time they go out, Sam is more concerned with Mercedes than her."
"Is that why you guys were late to the airport?"
Blaine laughed, "No… See, when she said that she expected Sam to fight her on it, and when he didn't, she called him out on it. When she did, Sam told her that she could never compare to Mercedes because of Mercedes this, and Mercedes that. I felt so bad for the girl, she practically tried to attack him, so in the end, he dodged a bullet."
Bas looked over at them before sighing. "Maybe we can get them drunk enough to have sex?" He joked.
"Yes! Bas, you are a genius!" Blaine said as he turned away from Sam and Mercedes. "We can have them pregame here, then get them drunk and casually tell them how good they are together…."
"Hey, I was kidding… we can't force them to do something they don't want." Bas said, shaking his head before Blaine pointed at Mercedes and Sam, still wrestling.
"Look at them and tell me you can't feel the sexual tension."
"Okay, I feel it, but we can not make them do this."
Blaine smiled as Santana and Britt walked into the room. "Oh, I think we can."
Sam leaned back in the Limo, handing Mercedes a glass. "Will you look at them? We are supposed to be here celebrating a friend's getaway, and they are celebrating how each other's tongue tastes."
"Right! You'd think they were horny teenagers." Mercedes added, taking a sip of the champagne.
Sam leaned into her. "Ten bucks says Blaine mounts Bas before Britt does Santana!"
"Oh, I'll take that bet." She said, laughing when not even two minutes later Blaine mounted him.
"Pay up!"
Mercedes laughed, shaking her head. "I'll pay you when we get back to the room."
"Sure, you say that now but we both know I'm never seeing those ten bucks!" He joked. "This shit is gross, shots?"
"Oh, thank God, I thought I was going to have to finish this." She said, grabbing the bottle of Tequila. "I love our friends." She added, admiring the expensive bottle.
Sam laughed as the Limo came to a stop. "Okay, break it up, we are here…" Sam said, looking at his friend not breaking apart. "What if we just left them here?"
"Let's do it!" She said with a devious grin.
"Okay, but first, let's take this shot!" Sam said, clinking his glass to hers then downing the shot.
"We're taking this bottle, now hurry." She said, shoving him out of the Limo before running to the driver's side and tapping on the window. "They're going a few blocks up." She told him and slipped the man a hundred-dollar bill.
As Sam and Mercedes ran off, Blaine pulled away from Sebastian. "Okay and it starts."
"Do you really think if some hot guy or some hot girl hits on them, they are gonna ignore them and stick together?"
Blaine looked at Santana, and they both laughed. "Please, I will be surprised if they realize there is anyone but each other in the club.
"Now it's time to make the phone call," Santana said, pulling out her phone.
Sebastian looked at her. "What call?"
Santana shook her head. "Pretty boy, please clue in foolless over here."
Blaine looked at Bas. "She is gonna call the club and have them give Sam and Mercedes another bottle of Tequila on them in the VIP room. We already faxed over their photos and paid the bartender and bouncers, so they know exactly what to do."
Bas shook his head. "You two together are scary."
Santana and Blaine smirked. "Oh, it's only the beginning," Blaine said before pulling out his own phone and calling someone.
"Who is he calling?" Brittney asked.
"The hotel gotta make sure the romantic atmosphere follows them back to the room. A few flowers here, some chocolate there, and some music will get them in the mood." Blaine answered, smirking.
"Wait, so you two have been using us?" Bas asked, looking slightly amused and annoyed.
"Eh, we needed them to hate our love," Santana explained. "Besides, if this works, which it will, we might get to hear them having sex!"
Mercedes downed another shot and stood up. "Okay, I am done with these shots. I did not get dressed in this tight-ass dress to come to this club to sit up here in VIP. Come and dance with me, Evans."
Sam downed his drink and smiled. "Oh, let's go, Jones." Sam took her hands and led her onto the dance floor.
"Ugh." Mercedes groaned out, her head was pounding, and her mouth was dry. She sat up shivering before looking down and noticing she was naked; she shook her head then saw Sam lying next to her and panicked.
"Fuck… Sam, wake up." She said, shaking him.
Sam shook his head, mumbling. "Five more minutes, okay? I think we drank too much." He turned his head away from her and put the pillow over his head.
"No shit, I'm naked, and so are you!" She said, pulling the covers off of him and groaning. "Did we?"
"Did we what?" He barely heard what she was saying.
"HAVE SEX SAM!" She shouted before wincing when her head started hurting.
Sam sat up quickly before looking at her worriedly. "Did we? I don't remember…."
Mercedes slowly moved, trying to find her robe feeling sore. The only kind of sore you could feel after- "Shit… Shit! Sam, I think we did."
"It worked! Yay!" Blaine shouted.
"What worked?" They asked in unison, and Blaine started to reply before looking around the room.
"They totally did it!" Santana said, walking into the room. "I heard all of… what…what the actual fuck happened here?"
Blaine walked into the room after her and stopped dead in his tracks. "Oh my God!"
"Wanky."
