Clark Kent was on a date with someone that was arguably one of the finest bachelors in the world, and what would make it worse for Bruce is that she had no idea at all.
He had done his research to find something that would be to her interest. Her social media platform was inexistent. He had later found out that her parents did not want her to have one and she simply followed their orders. Her parents seemed overprotected and perfect at the same time; it was rather eerie concept to him.
He had shown her the tickets and within second her face had lit up and was somehow in her hands. Her smile in the sunlight was hypnotising and he would have said "Yes" anything in that moment and agreed to anything she asked.
He had taken her to see 'Wicked'.
With all the information that he was able to acclimate he was to establish that 'The Wizard of OZ' was either her favourite film or book. So, he needed to use this information to his advantage. Clark Kent did not much have much of a footprint of online and he found that very peculiar for someone of her age. There was not much he was able to gather and from what Alfred was able to gather from other profiles online this was what was gathered.
His ankle was irritating him. He was currently receiving low shocks every five minutes. Luthor would do anything to get his hands on Wayne Industries and all his money. But Luthor wanted to ruin him and his parent's dynasty and their name.
He was being watched.
They were being watched.
This play had given him a headache.
Gotham needed him.
Although he was enjoying her company he was needed in Gotham. He had spent enough time relaxing and it had cost him.
She had gotten to see 'Wicked' it was her dream come true. Never in her life had she ever thought that she would get to see it Live and in person. It was a miracle and she even had the best seats in the house. She did not even mind the company, that was until he had fallen fast asleep and was snoring dead loud. So, loud it was hurting her eardrums and ruining what was meant to be a pleasant experience.
She knew that he was doing this as a way to make it up to her for several reasons and get her to continue working for/with him. She could tell this guy did not trust a lot of people and did not need the hassle to look for someone he could trust. And she was sure that her Grandfather had put him up to it.
But it was even more annoying that he had literally fallen asleep on her. And there was nothing that she could do about, because he was 'too heavy' for someone like her to move. And she could do it really easy as well. Stupid guy had fallen asleep on her shoulder and nearly onto her chest. She really wanted to kill him because he was nearly using her as cushion in a place that he really should not be touching.
But she still enjoyed 'Wicked' and enjoyed the part where Wayne fell to the ground awake when he was startled by everyone cheering at the very end.
And what was worse he even left drool marks on her favourite top. And then he had the cheek to say that he could have it dry-cleaned for her. She knew how to use a washing machine. And she did wash it and the stain even came out. But what she was no expecting was when a designer version of it was dropped off at her/ Grandfather's apartment a couple hours later.
And some headlines were saying "Playboy Bruce Wayne out for his date as a freeman with an unidentified woman"
The very next day
Clark Kent was nowhere to be seen and he had been stood up for their second date. Not that she knew that it was a date in the first. He liked Clark Kent. He knew that she was someone that he could trust. But was not someone he could fully be himself with. But someone he could relax and have fun with. He liked teasing her and 'pulling on her pigtails' as Alfred would call it. Well the date was meant to be surprise.
Bruce sighed to himself. This was meant to be a farewell dinner or his possible last meal because he could potentially behind bars in a manner of days. Who was to say what was going to happen next? He did what he could (do from behind the shadows, that is) and his lawyer (legally) to make sure the jurors were corrupted or influenced by someone else.
He knew that his fate lied within the court system. A system that was able be bought and corrupt, by someone like Lex Luthor. Anyone could be bought or blackmailed into doing this man's business. To his man no one was untouchable and everyone was corrupt. Someone had to teach this man that not everyone could or would be bought. But this was not a power that he was able to have. Bruce Wayne was not reliable or trustworthy and no one trusted a word that came out of his mouth.
Knock Knock
Bruce decided to blow out the candles when he was suddenly heard a rather demanding knock on his door. A knock he could tell was from someone that had information that he had to hear and they had to say to him. He knew he was not good.
To his surprise he was rather shocked to who was at the door.
"Mr Clark, to what do I this surprise to?" he said cheerfully as he put on his facade.
On look on the lawyers face was telling him that this was not good news. The man's face was expressionless of any emotion, just like any lawyer. But this man never expressed to face to him.
"Mr Wayne" said the lawyer as he let himself in.
Bruce saw the lawyer's hand tremble as he was holding a familiar folder containing information from Wayne Enterprise. Information that he could not afford to get out to the public. And information that he would not allow leave this room.
