"Mommy, Daddy!" Hannah squealed, skipping towards her parents.
"Walk, please," Monica corrected, and Hannah complied and slowed to a walking pace.
"Hi," Hannah said, looking up as she approached her parents.
"Hi, my peanut," Chandler said, scooping her up in his arms.
"Daddy," Hannah groaned and rolled her little blue eyes.
"I am not a peanut anymore," Hannah corrected.
"Regardless of how tall or grown-up you get, little lady, you will always be our little peanut," Chandler replied.
"Right, Mon?" Chandler said, turning to his beaming wife.
"That's right," Monica agreed before she kissed her daughter's freckled cheek.
"Awwww!" Hannah protested, which made her parents laugh.
"So, is the baby born yet?" Hannah asked excitedly.
"She is," Monica nodded as she caressed her little cheek.
"What's her name?" Hannah asked.
"Emma," Monica answered.
"Emma?" Nora wondered as she approached the little family.
"Isn't that what this little sugar plum fairy was to be named?" Nora asked.
"My name was supposed to be Emma?" Hannah asked her parents.
"Well, Mommy wanted to name you Emma, and I wanted to name you Olivia, but we both liked the name, Hannah, so Hannah, you were called, and Hannah you will forever be," Chandler said before giving her butterfly kisses, which made her giggle.
"And what a lovely Hannah you are," Nora said, making her granddaughter blush.
"Can we go see her now, please?" Hannah asked, looking between her parents.
"Sure thing, jellybean," Chandler said, setting her down.
"Come on," Hannah said, dragging her father impatiently down the hall.
"I'm coming. Such an impatient little princess you are," Chandler quipped, looking back at his wife and mother.
"No running, little lady," Monica called out.
"Yes, Mommy," Hannah agreed, and she could hear her husband ask Hannah if she wanted to stop and look at the babies in the nursery. She could hear Hannah excitedly agree, which made Monica smile.
"How was she?" Monica asked, turning towards her mother-in-law as she followed Chandler and Hannah down the hall.
"A little angel as always," Nora smiled.
"Good," Monica replied.
"Thank you so much for watching her last minute, Nora. We weren't expecting all of this," Monica said, referring to Rachel's 48-hour birthing experience.
"Oh, please, Monica. No thanks are necessary. It was my pleasure," Nora said, touching Monica's back.
"So, Emma, huh?" Nora asked.
"I thought that would be my next granddaughter's name," Nora added.
"Emma just suits her. Besides, I want our baby to be named something Chandler and I both love."
"Our baby?!" Nora asked excitedly.
"Are you pregnant?"
"Not yet...I don't think," Monica replied, shaking her head.
"When did you start trying?" Nora asked.
"Yesterday," Monica quickly replied.
"Yesterday?" Nora questioned.
"You mean you had sex here?" Nora clarified as realization hit her.
"Yeah," Monica nodded.
"You mean to tell me my second grandbaby may be conceived in a hospital?" Nora asked, stopping and placing her hands on her hips.
"Nora," Monica said as she, too, stopped.
"You do know that Hannah was conceived on a pool table in a bar, right?" Monica added.
"Well, I do now," Nora replied, taken a back.
"Please, don't tell Chandler I shared that last detail with you," Monica bit her bottom lip before glancing over at her mother-in-law.
"I can assure you that most certainly I will not," Nora nodded and rolled her eyes as they continued down the hall.
April 5th, 2002
Chandler panted as he thrust into his wife from behind. He loved making love to his beautiful wife. Chandler did; in fact, it was his favorite pastime, but he was literally beyond exhausted. Between the zero hours of sleep he had gotten in the last forty-eight hours and the number of times they had gone at it both in the hospital and at home, he was drained. All of it had zapped him of energy and the will to go to work in the morning to face his wicked witch of a boss, Mrs. McKenna.
Not only was he tired, but his penis was raw from penetrating her so much. Not only had they done it several times in the hospital, but they had also gone at it like rabbits once they got home-leaving nothing to chance. Monica was now hyper-focused on making a baby (his baby), so making a baby was what they would do, sleep and rest be damned.
"Oh, sweetheart, yes!" Monica panted as he rammed his dick so far into her sensitive hole that she thought she would cum immediately.
"I love how you love me, baby," Monica gasped as she fisted the sheets. No man had ever fucked her as passionately or as deliciously as Chandler had. He made love to her so deliciously.
Chandler smiled boastfully to himself. Her encouragement gave him a renewed sense of vigor and purpose, spurring him toward the big finale. Yes, they were trying to make a baby; however, the sex was really about them connecting through love and making each other feel good, and a baby was a result of that, but right now, he wanted to focus on making her feel good.
"Do you know what you do to me when you love me?" Monica asked, wanting to engage in dirty talk, and Chandler was happy to engage in it.
"What, baby?" Chandler whispered, holding her hips more securely to his before rocking back on his heels for leverage, so he could pull her up with him to have her nestled in his arms; he wanted to feel her warm, soft body against his as they made love.
"You make me ache so badly for you," Monica whimpered as he wrapped his arms tightly around her torso, his dick twitching inside of her in response to her rousing words.
"I mean, I already ache so much for you, but having you inside of me makes me ache even more for you because you feel so good, and I just love you so much," Monica said as she craned her neck, giving Chandler a whiff of her delicious scent.
"Oh, Mon, you have no idea how much I crave you," Chandler replied, kissing her neck to nuzzle her nose and capture her lips in a searing kiss.
Monica smiled into their kiss, flattered that he still desired and wanted her after all of their years together.
"And I'm glad you still want me," Monica whimpered.
"Oh, Monica," Chandler breathed.
"I've never not wanted you," Chandler murmured against her neck.
"Even when we weren't together, I wanted you; I could never and never wanted to stay away from you," Chandler growled as he unwrapped his hands from her torso and moved them to her tummy and down to her thighs, resting one there as the other trailed downwards towards her clit. She twitched as his thumb made contact with her sensitive bud.
"Hmmm…yeah," Monica lamented, remembering all of the times they slept together before London, and she threw her head back in ecstasy as he pumped into her.
"I loved making love to you when you were pregnant with Hannah, and I can't wait to do that again," Chandler lamented, making Monica's whole-body quake. He indeed did fuck her when she was pregnant with Hannah but under the guise of fulfilling her pregnancy urges; however, really, they were both fulfilling their ache to be together.
"OHHHHH!" Monica's taut body twitched as he pounded into her, their skin clapping against each other as her ass collided with his pelvis and thighs, and they both moaned loudly, their mouths agape and faces flushed with pleasure.
"Oh, baby, yes," Monica sighed, biting her lower lip, as Chandler grasped her forearms and pushed her forward, giving them more leverage, so he could pound relentlessly into her making her writhe; she was trying so desperately to keep quiet for the sake of the little girl sleeping in the other room, but Chandler was making it so damn hard for her to do that.
"Oh, yeah, yeah," Monica whined, her face contorting in pleasure as her stomach muscles clenched and her thighs quivered as her orgasm rippled through her twitching body.
"Mmm, yeah," Monica sighed as she fell face-first into the plush mattress beneath her; her ass was still sticking up in the air as Chandler pounded away inside her, having yet to reach his grand finale. Monica turned her head to see her husband thrusting into her with a look that was a mixture of both pleasure and pain painted on his face. She could tell he was straining to get there, too; he needed extra encouragement.
To help get him to get there, Monica untangled her arm for his and put her hand between her thighs, widening her stance so she could put her finger inside her vagina. It didn't take her long to find the tip of his balls, and when she did, she gave each one a gentle squeeze, which sent Chandler over the edge.
"OHHHHHHH!" Chandler moaned as he heaved his dick further into her, making her gasp and moan, and Chandler fell on top of her; both of them panting as he came inside her, and she came around him for the second time.
"Well, if that didn't make a baby, then I don't know what will," Chandler quipped after regaining control of his limbs. He rolled off of her and onto his back.
"That was so good," Monica replied, as she rolled over on her back and yawned, the exhaustion from the weekend finally hitting her, all of her endorphins spent. She was in awe of how much stamina they had; the number of times they made love in the past two days was somewhere in the double digits, she surmised.
"We have to get some sleep," Chandler groaned, glancing over the alarm clock, which read one o'clock; he would have to be up by six, a little less than six hours from then. However, six hours of sleep was not enough after the weekend he had and the day he would have.
"I know, we haven't slept in days," Monica yawned as he leaned down to pull the covers up around them, and Monica snuggled into his comforting arms.
"I hope we made a baby," Monica murmured, closing her eyes as fatigue set in.
"Me too," Chandler replied as he kissed her head.
"I love you," Chandler replied to no response, and he looked down to see that she was already fast asleep.
April 20, 2002
"I am going to miss you so much, sweetheart," Monica smiled sadly at her husband as she pressed her body against Chandler's whose was leaning against the back of the couch.
"I will miss you too, honey," Chandler whispered.
"I hate this," Monica said, biting her lower lip.
"I do, too," Chandler agreed as she placed her hands on his chest, the same hands that had stroked his back last night as they made love.
"Maybe Hannah and I should go with you after all," Monica said remorsefully.
"No, this is for the best," Chandler shook his head.
"I don't want to uproot our entire lives and have you give up this new job for a temporary situation. We agreed this is for the best. It's going to be tough, but we will make it work. We always do. We are good. We are really good," Chandler smiled softly.
"We are really good," Monica smiled as they leaned into kiss.
"Oh, good, you haven't left yet," they heard Ross say as he entered the apartment behind them, and they turned towards him.
"Where have you been?" Monica asked.
"I got held up at Dr. Gettleman's office. Um, there was some guy that...uh...freaked everyone out," Ross said awkwardly, and Monica could not help but suspect Ross had been that guy.
"Well, you got here just in time, I really have to go, buddy," Chandler greeted, walking over to give his friend a hug.
"Oh, man," Ross said as they patted each other's backs.
"Hannah, Rach!" Monica called out, and Hannah appeared from the guest room with Rachel behind her, holding a sleeping Emma.
"Daddy's leaving," Monica said.
"No, I don't want you to go," Hannah said, running over to her father and throwing her arms around his legs.
"I have to, sweet pea," Chandler bent down to her level.
"Why can't we go with you?" Hannah looked up at him with puppy dog eyes and the cutest pout.
"Because Mommy got her new job, and we don't want you to leave your school, your friends, or dance," Chandler added.
"Oh," Hannah sadly said.
"I am going to miss you," she said before wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.
"I am going to miss you so much, baby girl," Chandler whispered before kissing her head.
"But I will call you every day," Chandler said as he reluctantly pulled away.
"Promise," Hannah said, holding out her pinky.
"Promise," Chandler said, hooking her delicate pinky with his larger one.
Rachel held out her arms to Hannah, and Hannah trudged to her, and Rachel wrapped her arms around the sulking little girl.
"Honey, promise to call us when you land," Monica said, walking over to her husband, who smiled and took her hands in his.
"Of course, I'll call you. I love you," Chandler lovingly replied.
"I love you too," Monica adoringly smiled before they leaned into kiss, and he wrapped his arms around her, kissing her tenderly as he held the back of her head with one hand and wrapped the other around her waist.
"Ok, woah, woah, woah," they heard Rachel say behind them, and they turned to see her waving at them with one hand and her other hand covering a giggling Hannah's eyes, which made them both chuckle affectionately.
"Watch the tongue, people, we have a kid and a baby over here," Rachel said, pointing to Emma, who was now sound asleep in her stroller, and Hannah, who was trying to peek from underneath Rachel's hand.
"Bye, Chandler," Phoebe said, walking to hug Chandler.
"Bye, honey," Rachel said, moving from behind Hannah to follow Phoebe's lead. Ross took Rachel's place behind Hannah.
Chandler attempted to walk over to Joey, standing with his arms crossed over his chest and looking away from him with the same indignant pout that Hannah was expressing.
"What's the matter, Joe?" Chandler asked a pouting Joey.
"I'm mad at you for leaving," Joey said, walking away from him.
"You're nothing but a big leaver. The big leaver with the stupid suitcase," Joey added.
Chandler smiled empathetically and said, "Any chance you are trying to pick a fight to make all of this easier."
Joey looked behind him to Ross, who was standing behind Rachel, Monica, and Hannah with his arms around Monica and Rachel before going back over at Chandler to relent.
"Man, you see right through me," Joey softened before throwing his arms around Chandler in an overpowering hug.
However, once the hug ended, he sulked out of the apartment, but not before knocking Chandler's suitcase down.
"I'll go talk to him," Phoebe said, exiting as Chandler bent down to pick up his suitcase.
"Well, I guess I better be going," Chandler said once Phoebe was gone.
"By Ross, Rachel, and Mon. Bye, Hannah and Emma," Chandler said as Hannah waved sadly at him, and Rachel and Ross gave him sympathetic looks and waves.
"Wait, Chandler, I'll walk out with you," Monica said. Chandler nodded as she followed him, and Monica closed the door behind them.
"I need to tell you this before you go," Monica said, standing in front of him with him facing the door to apartment twenty.
"It goes old job," Monica said, putting her hand out low in front of her as she was measuring the distance between where it was and the floor.
"New job," Monica continued putting her hand a bit higher in front of her, and Chandler smiled lovingly at her.
"And you and Hannah," Monica said putting her hand as high above her as her petite height would allow.
"This is just something I have to do," Monica added, walking toward him.
"I know," Chandler smiled tenderly at her.
"I love you so much," Monica smiled putting her hands on his chest.
"I know that too," Chandler replied putting his hand at the base of her neck as they leaned in to kiss passionately, both too lost in each other to notice Phoebe pull Joey back into apartment nineteen before he could steal Chandler's suitcase.
June 13th, 2002
Chandler entered his room at the Tulsa Ramada, feeling frustrated and exhausted. He always considered himself a slacker when it came to his work, but he was starting to see that was not the case. In reality, he had learned early on how to work smarter and not harder, which made his work seem mind-numbingly dull.
He thought it was just pure laziness, but he hadn't seen true laziness until he got to the Tulsa office. Everything was done so inefficiently and with so little concern for deadlines or accuracy, which drove him crazy, and if he heard the phrase "That's how we've always done it" one more time, he was sure he would poke his eye out or the eye out of the next person who said it.
He hoped to get the Tulsa office's numbers back up quickly so he could return to his wife and child as soon as possible. He missed Monica and Hannah like crazy. These last nearly two months had felt like a lifetime. Chandler was glad, though, to have his side project working with his old college buddy Steve. Steve was the vice president of an advertising firm whom Chandler had been doing some side projects for over the years.
He had helped Steve create some very successful marketing campaigns, and they had been talking about him coming on full-time, but he wouldn't start at the same salary to which he was accustomed and needed to support his family, and with them trying for another baby they definitely could not afford a pay cut, so he would continue to do this on the side.
He set his briefcase on the couch and smiled when he heard the phone ring. He knew who that was. Monica always had impeccable timing.
"Hey, Mon," he greeted her.
"How did you know it's me?" Monica asked.
"Because you always call at the same time," Chandler smiled.
"Oh, well, how was work?" Monica asked.
"As aggravating as always," Chandler groaned.
"Are they still giving you a hard time?" Monica asked sympathetically.
"Yeah, I am at my wit's end trying to get these people to do their job with some degree of competency," Chandler said, scrubbing his hand over his face.
"I'm so sorry, baby," Monica said.
"That is so frustrating," Monica added.
"How was your day?" Chandler asked.
"It was good," Monica said, trying not to sound too excited.
"Honey, you don't have to feel bad. Just because my day at work sucked does not mean I don't want to hear about your awesome day at your new job," Chandler replied.
"It was amazing," he could hear Monica smile over the phone as she said it.
"Yeah?" Chandler lightly chuckled in response.
"I got some excellent customer feedback today, and we passed our health inspection with flying colors," Monica elaborated.
"That's fantastic, Mon," Chandler smiled as he placed his elbow on his knee and his chin in his hand.
"It's just that I miss you," Monica said sadly.
"I miss you too, honey," Chandler breathed.
"I started ovulating today," Monica added.
"You know if I were there, I would already have you in our bed taking care of that," Chandler said.
"I know," Monica sighed. "At least you will be home Thursday," Monica added.
"Speaking of Thursday, how is our tiny dancer doing?" Chandler asked as he heard Monica chuckle in response.
"She's missing you too. Do you want to talk to her?" Monica asked.
"Always," Chandler replied.
"Hanny, Daddy is on the phone," he heard Monica call their daughter, and he smiled when he heard their child exclaim really.
"Hi, Daddy," he heard her say moments later.
"Hi, princess," Chandler beamed.
"How was your day?" Chandler asked.
"It was good! Dance camp was so much fun, and I met Stassi's new baby brother, Robbie, who is so cute! When will I get a baby, brother or sister? Oh, and are you still coming home this weekend?" Hannah chattered on, which made Chandler chuckle. She was just like her mother, who could talk a million miles a minute. She also had a way of turning any conversation into an interrogation.
"That's great, sweetheart! Definitely, and we will keep you posted," Chandler said, attempting to address all her questions and talking points.
"Yeah! I can't wait to see you daddy!" Hannah excitedly said, which warmed his heart and made his awful day feel less shitty.
"It's time for you to get ready for bed, little missy," he heard Monica say, and he closed his eyes as a sting of pain punctured his heart. He wished he could be there with her to help tuck Hannah in and then make sweet, tender love to her before drifting off to sleep in each other's arms.
"Aw!" he heard Hannah pout over the other line.
"I had more things I wanted to talk to Daddy about," Hannah added.
"You can interrogate Daddy some more tomorrow night, but it is getting to be that time. Go put your PJs on and brush your teeth, and then we can continue reading Charlotte's Web."
"Yes, mommy!" he heard Hannah say.
"Good night, Daddy. I love you, and I hope you have happy dreams," Hannah added.
"Good night, baby girl. I love you to the moon and back," Chandler said before blowing her kisses over the phone, which she reciprocated.
He could hear her scurry off, and then Monica returned to the line.
"Well, I better put our little ladybug to bed," Monica sighed.
"I miss you," Monica added, and he could hear the sadness in her voice.
"Oh, Mrs. Geller-Bing, you have no idea how much I miss you," Chandler added.
