"I figured you would." He replied, dryly, as his shoulders tensed, but only in the slightest. "Please go on then." He added encouragingly, as he moved towards the bed and sat down on the edge.
He looked like he was posing for a GQ photo session as he sat there, one of his hands going up to his chin as he waited for me to speak.
My mind went to naughty places as I stared at such a specimen fully on.
How could one form any type of thought when this man was standing there looking like that? Much less speak.
Speak? Oh right. I forgot I was giving him my conditions in order to do this deal.
Blinking back to the present, as I cleared my head and exhaled.
I looked away, before sighing, "Well, for one, I won't be dressing like some puttana so don't even think about asking me to dress like that. I won't do it." I firmly said.
I wasn't entirely sure how people dressed around here, but I remembered the weddings I attended back home and some of the dresses those women wore made me have nightmares. I wasn't about to subject myself to unwanted male attention.
No. I wouldn't. I'd walk before I did. Even if it meant that I walked away from the possibility of finding out why my parents left here.
He shook his head amused, "I wasn't planning to, but that does give me an idea…" He murmured, as he pulled out his phone before gesturing for me to continue.
I rolled my eyes at him, before sighing and moving on. "I hope it's not what I think it is." I mumbled before sighing and speaking in a normal tone of voice.
"Two, we need to figure out what we are going to tell everyone. Because I don't want to look stupid in front of everyone you know, on the days of — of those events." I said, looking away.
"I'll make a note of that." He replied, offhandedly nodding as I felt his stare on me again.
"What is it? What's wrong?" He asked, concerned.
I shook my head, frowning. "Three is— Three is more of a suggestion." I whispered.
"Alright, well, you do realize you have to tell me so I can see if I take it into account or don't, dolcezza, right?" He pointed out.
"Can we please have a sign or something when we're going to do something risky?" I asked.
He sighed, frowning and closing his eyes. Before he nodded, "Sure. We can do that. Would it be too much to ask you not to wonder on your own?" He asked.
He walked over to where I stood, and looked at me in the eye, a nebulous gleam in his mesmerizing eyes. I felt everything disappear for a second as I saw his eyes flicker away for a moment before flickering back.
"What?" I blinked in surprise.
"Would it be too much to ask you not to wander off on your own?" He repeated.
"No, but you certainly don't expect me to stay glued to your side all night do you?" I asked, amused.
"Definitely not. Just close by. My parents will be there and so will my brothers and sisters with their significant others… I just— I just need you to stick with one of them. Please." He replied.
Exhaling slowly, I felt myself grow tired before I finally nodded. "When do I get to go back to my hotel room?" I asked.
He raised a brow at me before blinking in realization, "Oh, right... Right...Your things." He deduced.
I tapped my nose and nodded in response.
"We can go and get them as soon as it's morning." He replied with a small smile.
"For now, why don't you rest while I go speak to my father?" He suggested.
"What time is it?" I asked softly.
His eyes flickered down to his wrist before he groaned. "It's a quarter past one in the morning." He stated.
Realizing I was already here, I nodded, holding back a yawn. "Will you be sleeping near?" I asked.
"This is actually my room. So, yes I will… would you like something to sleep in? I'm sure my sisters or sisters in law have something you can wear." He said as his eyes traveled down my body.
I frowned, looking down at the dress. It was beyond ruined. Alice was going to kill me. The dress was beyond ruined...
The neckline was plunged slightly, the strap was ripped, and the slit on my thigh was now ripped enough that it exposed my upper thigh, practically showing the snatch to the world.
"Can I borrow a t-shirt instead? I want to sleep comfortably, and would rather not have to worry about displaying my tits to the world while in such a vulnerable state." I replied.
He bit his lip trying to hide his amusement as he nodded before he disappeared into the closest.
I let out a breath I didn't know he was holding as he did and walked over to the bed, climbing on as he walked back out.
"Um… here you go." He said, looking away.
"Do you have any more suggestions or do you wish to get some rest now?" He asked.
"A few more actually, but I think we can continue until morning…" I replied with a tired yawn.
"Alright then. I'll— I'll just step out to give you some privacy. If you need me, just use the intercom by the door over there. Press the first white button on the right side, and I'll be here as soon as I can." He said, before walking out.
Edward's POV:
As I walked out of the room I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
My head was hurting from the stress this situation was causing.
Fucking assholes.
I should have put a fucking bullet through Vince's head as soon as he sent that first attack.
As it was my mother and sisters were still recovering from the trauma he fucking caused.
The accident happened months ago. My mother was on her way to the airport, heading to Spain for some business on the wine, when a car rear ended the car my mother and my sisters were riding in.
They tried to run the car off the highway, lucky Marco was driving and managed to flip it so the other car got ran off, leaving only a few scratches on them, and my mother with a concussion. One of my sisters with a broken collar bone, and my other sister with a fractured wrist.
My father has gone overprotective since, but now it seems these pezzo di merda have gotten brazen, trying to attack me and my brothers on our turf.
With my dolcezza present. They almost hurt her. If we hadn't left when we did that club would have ended up being a warzone.
These bastards were starting to think it's alright to come barging in unannounced, into my nightclub no less! Who the fuck do they think they are?!
As I made my way down to my father's office, my anger returned at the situation.
I could hear arguing as I stood outside the door, meaning my brothers had already informed my father of what had occured.
I was not looking forward to going in there. Emmett, as it was, was going to get his head torn off for what he pulled on the way back from the club.
I hesitated debating whether or not I wanted to deal with this tonight. My head was already hurting from all their antics, I needed a fucking drink and I didn't even get that earlier.
Before I could move away and leave, the door slammed open revealing Jasper.
"Edward, just the guy we were waiting to arrive." Jasper said, pulling me into the room before slamming the door behind.
I noticed all of us were here, even Demitri, and Carlisle were here, and they were our brother-in-laws.
This meant the severity of the situation was growing more and more as moments passed.
"Oh please, you weren't waiting for me, I could hear your bitching from the end of the hall." I grumbled as Aro handed me a tumbler, as I walked in and sat down.
I took three sips, before jutting my head with a sigh.
"I've already heard what these idioti have to say about what occured tonight. So, I want to hear what you have to say. What happened out there tonight, son?" Our father asked, looking at me expectantly.
"The guys and I had some business to handle out by the docks, we finished earlier than we thought and we went to loosen up and decided to check out how Eclisse is doing. Nothing much happened for an hour or so." I shrugged.
"Right." My father said, looking towards Aro.
"After that, I met someone and started dancing with them." I explained through clenched teeth as I remembered how Vince blatantly leered at my dolcezza.
Anger flooded my veins as I remembered the look, and the way she flinched away.
"What did they tell you?" He asked.
"That asshole—" I began before Aro cut me off.
"Endrizzi quickly noticed that Edward had a girl with him, and decided he wanted to attack her. He seemed to have taken an interest in her as well. That's when Ed here got defensive… We got out of there before something happened but the girl isn't safe out there by herself. It's best to keep her here." He advised.
I frowned, remembering his expression as his eyes fell on Isa, I could practically hear the lecherous thoughts as he practically undressed her with his eyes.
I wanted so badly to end him then and there, but I wanted to make sure Isa was safe first.
"Endrizzi sent his son over here?" My dad asked us.
Aro nodded once, looking over to where Carlisle, Jasper, and Emmett stood, stiffly.
"What do you wish to do about this?" My father finally asked, looking over at me.
"If it were up to me, I would have already decimated them and their filthy bloodline, but I can't just do that… at least not yet." I murmured.
"Right. Well, they haven't exactly done anything to cause a war as of yet. But I do agree some sort of retaliation is in order… especially after what those bastards did to your mother and sisters. It's time." My father announced.
All of us exchanged matching smirks before nodding in response.
