A moment of silence passed between us before he sighed.

I frowned, realizing he probably wanted to tell me something else.

My anxiety spiked up for a moment before I sighed. "Something on your mind, Mase?" I asked, raising a brow at him.

He jutted his chin once before turnt away.

"Okay, talk or don't. Your choice. But as you said earlier I'll just think it's worse than it actually is." I pointed out, in a sing songy voice.

He murmured something unintelligible under his breath before turning to look at me.

Apprehension was clear in his face as he stared at me.

Just what in the hell happened as we made our way over here?

"There are things that have happened that you won't be happy about…" he finally said.

"What is it now?" I asked, trying to keep my annoyance at bay.

"There is a reason as to why I wanted us to rush into the marriage in the first place." He finally said.

"Go on…" I replied, crossing my hands over my chest, and holding my arms tightly, in a poor attempt to keep myself from doing anything rash.

"It's Endrizzi. He's set out a price to get you… he wants you taken to him immediately. That's the reason why I threw the traditions out the window. I need to protect you. This is the only way to do so." He finally explained.

"Why didn't you just tell me that earlier?" I asked frowning at him as my nails dug into my arms.

"Because your cousin arrived to help, which he did the complete opposite of, and then shit got out of hand rather quickly." He retorted, as his jaw clenched and his hands formed fists.

I scoffed, shaking my head at his audacity. "Yes, well, had you explained all of this beforehand, I wouldn't have reacted like that. Besides, you didn't want to tell me any of this. What changed?" I asked, coolly.

A small smile pulled at the corner of his lips before he sighed. "Endrizzi's arrival here made one thing clear to me. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants. So, I will stop at nothing to make you and everyone around us safe." He promised.

I bit my lip, wondering briefly why he cared but I realized that he would stop at nothing to keep me safe, and that made all the difference.

Knowing I was out of time and options, I decided to consent.

"How do we do this? If what Felix said is true, then many people will be angry that you broke tradition. It could start an all out war." I pointed out.

He nodded, sighing yet again..

This situation was starting to piss me off.

"My father has already called the heads of the families to a meeting. It'll be sometime tomorrow in Venice. We need to do this before then." He told me.

"Won't that piss everyone off?" I asked frowning.

"It'd rather apologize to everyone than have something happen to us and regret it later." He replied with a careless shrug.

"Duly noted. There's another problem. And I want to give you a heads up so you're not surprised if I do something rash." I told him.

He lifted a brow, tilting his head, as I saw amusement flash in his eyes. "Go on?"

"Keep your brothers away from my friends. They've already been through enough. I don't want them getting hurt. While I do understand that I can't control them or what they do, I will tell you this. If your brothers make them cry, or hurt them in any shape or form, I will make sure they know the meaning of the word hurt." I promised.

He looked at me wide-eyed before chuckling. "Isa, nothing I say will stop them if they want to be with your friends, but I'll be sure to pass on the message to them." He replied amused.

I didn't find anything that I was saying funny, in fact, I was worried that they would end up in a relationship and get their hearts broken.

I wasn't about to let that happen. Rose, Alice, and I had felt pain in the past and were always there for each other.

We watched each other's backs even when we fought. This was nothing new.

If one was hurt, we all hurt.

So, if I could prevent it, I would.

"Your amusement isn't needed, I'm sure you'd be mad if some bitch tried to use them and they ended up hurt. You probably wouldn't hesitate to retaliate." I told him.

He sobered up. "You're completely right. Sadly, in this life we're not allowed to touch women or children. It goes against our beliefs." He explained.

"Yes, well I am not a man, and I am not afraid to put a bitch down if she comes at me … I promise you that." I replied.

He began laughing again, before pulling me into a hug, causing me to gasp in surprise before he let go and stepped away. "You surprise me with each passing moment." He sighed.

"Is that a compliment or an insult?" I asked, raising my brow as he chuckled.

"Compliment, definitely a compliment." He laughed.

"It better be." I mumbled, smiling at him and shaking my head.

We stood for a moment before he sighed, "We should go find your family. They'll probably be wondering where we are." He replied.

I sighed nodding before allowing him to pull me out of the room by my hand.

As we neared the room, I could hear laughter as we approached but it suddenly all stopped as we walked in and they all turned to look at us.

Jasper sighed, and extended his hand towards Alice to hand her something, which she took and smirked at us.

"Thank you, Bella." She said, showing me the hundred dollar bill he just handed her.

I lifted a brow, "What'd I miss?"

Rose sighed and shook her head as she looked over, "Jasper bet Alice that you'd smack Edward. She said you didn't look pissed off so that's not true. He bet her a hundred bucks and a shopping trip." She replied.

I shook my head amused.

"What?" Edward asked me quietly.

"Your brother." I replied.

"What about him?" He asked confused.

"He is a moron." I told him amused.

He raised a brow in response, "Why do you think that?" He inquired, looking at me interested.

"Because he bet against Alice." I replied simply.

"What does that have to do with him bein—?" He basked before I interrupted him.

"You don't bet against Alice. At least, not about things like this … She's almost never wrong." Rose replied for me, amused too.

"And the time she is?" Emmett asked us.

I shrugged, "I find three out of five chances, she's not. You learn not to bet against her, especially when she has a smile like that on her face." I replied amused.

They all turned to look at Alice as she smirked at us, before making her way over to me.

"What is it, Al?" I asked her, hesitantly.

She looked about to explode with excitement, bouncing on her toes as she waited for my response.

"Shopping. When can we go?" She asked, excited.

I looked over at Edward who shrugged and nodded, before I looked at my wrist.

"Now is as good a time as any. Who's up for it?" I asked.
