The atmosphere shifted as Balor's demonic eye awakened. The cold wind of uneasiness is felt throughout humanity. Even Adam and Prometheus don't know what to make of this power.

"Hah, look at them! They're quivering in their boots," Nemain laughed.

"So, this is the Eye of Calamity, huh? How fascinating," Hermes stated.

Macha chuckled in amusement.

"Quite so. That human made a mistake in toying with the old demon. Now, his life is forfeit."

As this was going on, Heimdall announced the turn of events within this match.

"W-what a sight to behold, everyone! After taking a beating, Balor has unleashed his destructive eye! Will this be Germain's last stand?"

Germain could sense the power difference between them. Whatever this eye was, its power was something Germain had never contended before.

The demon taunts the immortal.

"What's the matter, Germain? Where's the confidence you were flaunting moments ago?"

Germain said nothing as he cast a fireball toward Balor. Balor's eye glows in response to the flaming orb race toward him. All of a sudden, the fireball was extinguished in an instant.

"U-unbelievable! Balor's evil eye has snuffed out Germain's fireball, " Heimdall declared.

All of humanity was shunned by the demon's new power. Adam looks on with disbelief while Prometheus's mouth is agape.

"M-master," Helena said with concern in her eyes.

As for Germain, he smirks at Balor.

"So this is your true power? Isn't it, Balor" Germain muses.

Balor laughs, "Well, I actually thought I could kill ye without using my eye. However, I was wrong, and I thank you for that. It's been a while since my eye burned everything in sight. So I give you a merciful death."

Then Balor's eye glowed that dark-blue hue and fired a massive beam towards to immortal. Germain quickly creates a barrier to block the destructive blast. However, the moment the beam hits the arcane barricade, it demolishes Germain's defenses instantly.

The blast left a scorching crater where Germain once stood. Before the humans could assume the worse, he reappeared a few feet away from the hole. As humanity was about to breathe a sigh of relief, Helena gasped in horror.

"Master, no..!"

They witness Germain's left arm slowly turning into dust.

"My word! Despite dodging Balor's death beam, the Immortal's arm is being reduced to nothingness," Heimdall announces what has transpired.

Germain couldn't describe the pain he was feeling. He can feel his flesh and bone burning away like paper set ablaze.

"My love, will you be okay?!"

Skuld's voice spoke worriedly within the saint's mind.

"Fret not, my dear. I'm not done yet," Germain reassures while creating a containment barrier on his arm to keep the disintegration at bay.

In the chief gods' section, Huitzilopochtli questions the power of Balor's eye.

"Okay, I don't see the big deal with Balor's eye. I could do the same by channeling the fire from the sun. What makes his eye so special?"

Hermes was about to answer, but Badb beat him to it.

"Because his eye is made from the essence of death. It was put into a potion to which Balor drank it and gained the eye you're witnessing in action."

Ītzpāpālōtl scoffs at the Gaelic death goddess, "Please, how does that eye compare to my Huitzy."

Nemain smirks at the reply.

"Simple lass. My sisters and I created the potion."

The gods were shocked to hear the three sisters made the destructive eye.

Macha sighed at the joy of creating it.

"I was simple, really. Nemain gathered sulfur from Helheim, Badb used her blood to make the potion potent, and I added the poison of the Beithir. It was the best potion we had ever brew yet. Though, why I didn't think he would survive upon drinking it."

"Interesting, and those the Tuatha Dé Danann know about this," Zeus said firmly.

The Morrigan sisters smirked, showing they couldn't care less what their pantheon would think.

Nemain says wickedly, "To be honest, Lord Zeus. We don't care if they know."

On the other side of the arena, Hera looked as if she was going to have a mental breakdown.

"No, no, no,...NO! How is this possible?! Germain was supposed to have plans for everything. How did that big red fuck able to destroy his arm!"

Goll asked Hera with fear in her tone, "C-can Saint Germain even win now?"

Hera didn't answer. She could only watch the match unfold. Brunhilde couldn't believe she would witness Hera, the Queen of the gods, watching on in distraught.

Germain steps to his feet as he prepares to attack again.

Balor chuckles, "Oh, this is sad."

Germain raises his cane, and parts of the ground lift up, then launch them towards Balor. The demon laughs as he activates his eye to reduce the boulders into gravel.

However, Germain was prepared to place a glyph beneath Balor.

"It's over! Glacies Vinculum!" Germain bellowed as his glyph encased the Warden of Helheim in ice.

Heimdall then announces, "Talk about being put on ice! Saint Germain has officially trapped Balor in a frozen coffin! Could this be enough to even humanity's score?"

The humans frantically cheer on Germain to put the demon down for good.

"Come on, Teacher! End it!"

"Please, Master Germain! Take him down!"

"Go! Germain! Go!"

Adam whispered, "Come on, you got this, Germain."

Helena prayed while Prometheus screamed, "End him, you pompous bastard!"

The gods surprisingly cheered for Balor despite almost trying to destroy everyone earlier.

"Damn it, demon! Break free and kill this human!"

"Obliviate him!"

"Kill him, Balor!"

As the crowd roared towards the end game, Germain saw the ice containing Balor was cracking. Germain quickly summoned vines to wrap around the ice and conjure more rocks to add to the containment.

"Skuld, are you ready? This will nearly drain all of the magic, so it's now or never!" Germain declares as he prepares his ultimate attack.

"Ready!" Skuld said with determination as she embedded her energy into Germain.

Germain then summons The Mirror of Adam once more and, with the power of Skuld, duplicates the mirror to surround Balor from all angles.

"It seems Germain has crafted a house of mirrors! Is she about to use the same move in a seismic multitude," exclaimed Heimdall.

"Oho, this Germain fellow is attacking to attack Balor from all sides. Who knew humans were so crafty," Macha muses.

Nemaingrins venomously, "Like that matters, sister."

Meanwhile, Hera is gripping the railing so hard that it would give out at any moment.

"KILL HIM!" Hera screamed in rage.

The mirrors show the raging flames from Balor's last attack, ready to smite the demon.

"Prometheus Pyrkaios Excelsus!"

One by one, the mirrors fire toward Balor to burn the demon to ash.

As the audience held their breath and prepared for the conclusion of the match, little did people realize that Saint Germain that his come has time.

...

"Eye of Calamity: Fomorian's Domain"

Suddenly, a destructive blue aura destroys Balor's containment, snuffs the flames, and atomizes the mirrors. The pressure of the domain was so immense that blood spewed out of Germain's mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. The saint fell to the ground to the horror of the humans.

Heimdall gasped, "G-Germain...is down! After a risky all-out attack, Balor's aura overpowered Prometheus Excelsus and caused the teacher of humanity to bleed!"

Balor emerged from the smoke and casually walked toward the fallen immortal. To Balor's surprise, I hear Germain coughing and wheezing in pain and trying to get up.

Balor looks toward all the humans and mocks them and his champion.

"Your champion right here! Look how weak he is. He is the perfect representation of you humans; weak, arrogant, delusional, and pitiful! Now, witness as I write the final chapter in his story."

Balor then turns to Germain and gloats, "It seems we reached the end of our duel. Got to admit, you packed a punch, boyo, but this is as far as you go. Any last words."

Germain gets to one knee and smiles weakly, much to Balor's annoyance.

"Hehe, even when I'm about to die. You still underestimate humanity. Humans are not immortal, but...that's okay. Because each and every life we have is precious. I'm happy to ensure their lives are fruitful and joyous. Even in our darkest moments, the light of a better tomorrow will always come. I may die here, but humanity will never falter."

At that moment, all the humans cried and begged the immortal to not do this. Adam comforts Helena while Prometheus closes his eyes to not see what comes next.

Balor sneers, "You humans are truly disgusting."

Balor's eye glows intensely the prepare the wipe Germain from existence.

Germain talks to Skuld one last time.

"Skuld, my time. It was an honor to fight with you, but it's time you and I part ways."

Skuld's spirit appeared behind him and hugged him.

"No, as your valkyrie and lover, I won't leave your side."

Germain smiles at this and declares proudly, "Then how about we leave this realm with a message, my dear."

Skuld smiles in agreement. Germain harnesses the last bit of magic into the cane and aims it at Balor.

Heimdall wonders, 'Wait, what is he doing.'

Balor laughs, "Hah, too late!"

Balor fires his violent beam toward Saint Germain while Germain fire a pure white beam at Balor.

As Germain waited for his final rest, he reflected on the impact he left upon the mortal world and the lives he saved. Just as the blast was inching toward the immortal, Germain closed his eyes and thought for the final time.

'Farewell, my students, and thank you for everything.'

The blast hits Germain to the cries of humanity. As Balor laughed in victory, he failed to realize the angelic beam already striking his evil eye. Suddenly...

"GAAAAARGHHHHHH!" Balor roared as his eye imploded, which shocked the gods, especially the Morrigan.

Balor's normal eye rolled to the back of his head as he collapsed to the ground. A part of his face nearly vaporized, and his body convulsed.

Heimdall runs to Balor to see the damages.

"Oh my gods! Oh my gods! Lord Balor, are you okay? Can you respond?"

Balor could only gurgle and convulse.

However, Heimdall looked at the crater, and when the smoke cleared, there stood the petrified remains of Saint Germain.

"I get it now," Zeus said, stroking his beard.

Hermes looks at his father and questions, "What do you mean by that, Lord Zeus."

Zeus softly chuckles, "I mean that Germain's last attack was not his last-ditch effort to defeat Balor. Instead, it was a message to the humans to continue the fight. To teach them that even in their unfortunate hour, they can rise against the odds."

All the gods looked surprised at Zeus from that statement.

"Hmm, I must say. What a fight and that Germain was something else. If he didn't underestimate Balor earlier, he could have won."

As he says this, Germain's body begins to glow, contrasting the sunset. The humans mourn for their teacher. Adam and Prometheus look saddens at the fall of their dear friend. As Brunhilde knew Skuld would not be with them anymore, she comforted Goll. Skuld appeared one last time, her body glowing and breaking like Germain. She put her hands on his face and kissed him on his stony lips. Then Saint Germain and Skuld shattered and became part of Niffelheim.

Seeing this, Heimdall concludes the match.

"Here ends Ragnarok: Round 2! Your winner, representing the gods in the ultimate battle between man...BALOR!"
