(Warning: Mention of Seppuku)

Yasuke looked perplexed as he saw Wukong smiling.

"Why...are you smiling?"

Sun laughed, " I'm sorry. I've waited a long time for you to become my opponent! Most of my opponents only managed to strike me once. On rare occasions, twice. The fact that you were able to strike me three times in this bout..."

Sun grips his staff as it repairs itself and gets into a stance.

"YOU'VE BROUGHT ME BACK TO LIFE!"

"I see now. You have multiple lives, do you? Yasuke asked

Sun said casually, "Heh, yeah. It's called The Seven Harmonic Gates. I've achieved immortality seven times, but I guess with down to four. So...You ready?"

Yasuke smirks as he rests his blade on his right shoulder.

"You're an interesting god, Sun Wukong. Well then, let's do it!"

On the gods' side of the arena, Xuanzang, Zhu Baije, and Sha Wujing began to cry.

"Hey, are you ok?" Erlang Shen said

Xuanzang smiled as he said, "It's been so long since we got to see our friend back to his old self."

Zhu Baije sniffed, "Yeah, and now he can finally show the world his true strength!"

"Extend," Sun yelled as the staff grew and shot toward the black samurai.

Yasuke readies his volund to cut Wukong's staff until...

"EXPAND!"

Yasuke's eyes widen as the staff enlarges into a bus-sized pillar. The cudgel rammed into Yasuke, threatening to break his body.

Divine Pillar of Xuanzang

Yasuke's body skipped across the battlefield until stopping.

"UNBELIEVABLE! Sun has swung the momentum back to the gods with that bone-shattering attack," Heimdall exclaimed as the gods cheered.

Yasuke hoarsely coughed as he felt the air in his lungs knocked out.

'Dammit, my head...i-it's throbbing like crazy. That strength...I never felt that since-'

Before Yasuke could finish his thoughts, Sun Wukong jumped in the air, about to bring down his staff onto the samurai. Yasuke quickly rolled out of the way and got to his feet. Yasuke tries to go for a series of slashes, only for Wukong to weave through them.

"Yeah! That's it, Yasuke! Go all out!" Sun roared as he then backflipped away from Yasuke's attack.

While in the air, Wukong pulled strands of his hair off his body and scattered them across the arena grounds. Suddenly, each strand transforms into an exact replica of Sun Wukong.

Nobunaga and Ranmaru's mouths were agape at this. Hideyoshi gulped at the predicament of losing his money.

"Well...crap."

"Ohohoho, the Great Sage has set up a trap in the form of a hundred clones! How will Yasuke survive this obstacle," Heimdall exclaimed.

In the imperial box, Huitzilopochtli is amused with the match going on.

"Well, it's about time Sun got back into the swing of things. I have to admit that human is pretty good."

Meanwhile, the Jade Emperor looked rather partly incensed.

'No, nooo! His will is supposed to be broken! That ape was finally under my rule, so why?! That damn human...!'

Back at the arena, Sun's clones surround Yasuke from all angles.

"So you have an army, of course," Yasuke says with a self-defeating chuckle.

Then all of the Wukongs rushed at the Obsidian Samurai. The clones slowly began to overwhelm Yasuke after he cut down as many as he could. They battered him with punches, kicks, and staff attacks.

"And with that, Sun Wukong and his clones are barraging Yasuke with blow after blow! With every attack, humanity's chance of winning grows dimer," Heimdall said

Goll looks on with sheer panic as Yasuke is getting ganged up.

"Yasuke...Randgriz...no," Goll whimpered, almost on the verge of tears.

However, Hera and Brunhilde remained unfazed.

"Valkyrie, there's no reason to cry. Yasuke is still in the fight," Hera said.

"She's right, Goll. Just watched; you're about to see something interesting," Brunhilde said with a confident grin.

While the Wukong clones hammered Yasuke, the samurai took a deep breath amidst the onslaught.

"Enough!" Yasuke yelled as he slashed in a circular motion causing a ring of sharp wind to demolish the copies.

Vadu Pai: Steel Gale Chakram

The vortex cuts through each clone and heads toward the real Wukong. Sun bends backward to dodge the attack, and the gale strikes the wall instead.

Heimdall gasped, "How surreal! Yasuke musters all of his strength to destroy all of the clones."

"Amazing! Yasuke wipeout Sun's clones with a single attack?! How is this possible?" Goll asked

Then a relaxed voice caught the ladies' attention.

"It is due to his breathing, Goll-dono."

The voice came from a middle-aged man with jet-black greying hair, dull golden eyes, a scar across his right cheek, and a chin strip goatee. He wears a black haori with a midnight blue net shirt underneath, bluish black sode leather pauldrons and bracers with wispy mist design, a white ribbon belt, Iga style black hakama pants, and midnight blue armored tabi boots.

One of the Leaders of the Iga Clan

Oni Hanzo

Hattori Hanzo (Japan)

"Brunhilde smiled, "I was wondering when you'll show up, Hanzo."

Goll was shocked by Brunhilde saying Hanzo's name.

"You mean this is the legendary ninja who leads the Iga Clan? This is Hattori Hanzo?"

Hanzo bowed.

"Yes, but I'm also a samurai, Goll-sama."

Hera interrupts, "Wait, you said something about his breathing?"

"Yes. A samurai channeled the air to enhance one focus and strengthen the body. This allows us to fight at our peak."

Then another voice chimes in.

"Yes, as well as focusing on directing the attack to a precise point."

The other voice came from a dapper well-defined English man with short, rich orange hair, aqua-blue eyes, and a strong chin. He has a dark grey three-button waistcoat, a white shirt with a blue cravat, a black vest, a magenta hat on his head, black pant, and brooched cuffed boots.

Miura Anjin

William Adams (United Kingdom)

"So two have decided to join us, hmm." Hera joked

William chuckled softly, "I don't see why not. After all, It's nice to see Yasuke in action after such a long time."

Hanzo says casually, "I'm even more surprised that he's holding his own against Sun Wukong himself."

Suddenly, Yasuke gasped for air, feeling three ribs crack.

Randgriz's essence appears only to Yasuke.

"Yasuke, are you alright?"

Yasuke grunts, "Damn, my body is hurting all over. I don't know how much longer I can take this punishment. But..."

Yasuke grips his nodachi tightly.

"I can't stop. After all, this is my chance to protect those that gave me a second chance in life. After that day when I failed to save them, I won't let this opportunity pass by."

He then raises his sword to his head and glances at the reflection of Oda Nobunaga, Mori Ranmaru, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

"For I will sacrifice everything I have to protect my brothers."

Not much is known about Yasuke's life before his time in Japan. All that is known is Yasuke was a conscripted soldier during his time in India. After his service, he was a bodyguard to the Jesuits, and this is where his life changed forever.

1580, Sengoku Japan

In the bustling street of Kyoto, a group of Jesuit priests gathers at the center to spread the word of God.

"Great people of this great land, we have come to spread to great word of God and cleanse you of your sins!"

Meanwhile, Yasuke stands near them, wearing a white shirt, blue vest, ruffle collar, black trousers, and boots.

Yusef (Yasuke)

He stood there, serving as protection for the Jesuits. Until he heard a commotion nearby.

"You dare steal from me, you peasant!"

Yusef sees a short man wearing a fine-orange kimono grabbing the arm of a gaunt-looking man in nothing but rags.

"Please, sir, m-my family is hungry!" The gaunt man begged.

"Well, they'll stay hungry forever!" The merchant yelled as he pulled a wakizashi readying to stab the man.

Yusef rushes in and grabs the merchant's wrist before he commits the act.

"Hey! What is the point of attacking someone who can't fight back? So leave him alone!"

The merchant pulled his arm away and yelled, "Don't touch me, you cretin! That fool tries to steal my finest fish!"

Yusef crosses his arms and says, "Perhaps, but killing him is wrong."

The merchant laughs, "I will not be lectured by you. Boys!"

Then five thuggish men came to the merchant's call.

"Kill him!"

One of the thugs rushes at Yusef, only for him to be thrown into a bundle of baskets. A large one with a kanabo tried to crack Yusef's skull, but the soon-to-be samurai dodged and hit a powerful uppercut to knock his assailant out. Two more tried to flank Yusef, but Yusef disarmed them, smashing their heads together to concuss them. Finally, he sees the last criminal nervously wielding a kama in his hands.

"What are you waiting for? Kill him!" The merchant barked at his pitiful minion.

However, the final goon dropped his weapon and ran away, screaming for his life.

"No, stop! Damn you!"

The merchant stares at Yasuke and begs, "Please...I was trying to sell my products. Please, don't hurt me."

Then one of the Jesuits walked towards Yasuke and said sternly, "Yusef, stop this! You're causing a scene!"

Then Oda Nobunaga, accompanied by Ranmaru, a young Hideyoshi, and a few soldiers.

"Well, this is quite the scene indeed. What's with the commotion?"

The merchant dropped to his knees before the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven.

"Nobunaga-dono! Oh, thank the kami you came! A thief tries to steal my goods. I tried to punish him until HE got in my way!"

The merchant pointed to Yusef with the thief behind him.

Nobunaga strokes his goatee curiously.

"Interesting."

Afterward, the daimyo approaches Yasuke and says, "I listened to his story. Now, tell me your perspective."

"The merchant was going to kill the thief, and so I had to interfere because killing someone over a petty theft was unwarranted."

Nobunaga nodded, grabbed a big fish, and tossed it to the thief.

"Here, now, leave before I change my mind."

The thief bowed before running away.

The merchant couldn't believe this as the thief got off scot-free.

"But...but..."

Nobunaga turns to the merchant and glares with the eyes of death. The merchant kept his mouth shut.

The Jesuit humbly bowed as he spoke.

"I apologize for Yusef's actions, Nobunaga-dono."

Nobunaga smirks, "Meh, I don't really care about marketplace drama. But..."

He looked at Yusuf, "I'm curious about this one."

At Azuchi Castle

Yusef looked outsideNobunaga's room in a white and red kimono. He was impressed with the myrtle of his supposed new master and the symbol of the Oda clan on the shoji. Truth be told, Yusef was curious about Oda as Oda was with Yusef's skin.

A peach-colored kimono was draped over Ranmaru as the shoji opened.

"Nobunaga-sama is expecting you," Ranmaru said with a smile.

Once Yusef enters Nobunaga's room, he sees the daimyo in a pitch-black kimono drinking a cup of sake near a short round table.

Nobunaga sees Nobunaga and greeted, "Heeey! I see you finally showed up. Come on in!"

Ranmaru eagerly went to sit next to his lord while Yusef hesitantly entered the room. Once he got close to the table, Yusef bowed.

"It will be an honor to serve you, Master Nobunaga. I will do everything to fulfilled your ambitions, master."

As Yusef finishes his bow, he is met with confusing looks from the pair.

"Master?" Nobunaga said confusedly

"Serve?" Ranmaru slightly chuckled

Yusef was bewildered at their reactions. He was bought to be in the service of the Oda clan, was he? So why are they perplexed with the arrangement.

Nobunaga chuckled, "Wait, did you think I would buy your services as a serf?"

Yusef was even more confused than he thought.

"You...bought my freedom?"

Nobunaga shrugs, "Of course! After all, I believe in loyalty instead of servitude. So, come and take a seat."

Yusef awkwardly sat on the mat with Nobunaga and Ranmaru. He never thought this happen. The fact he's sitting with a warlord is...unbelievable to him.

"I don't get it. Why free me? I'm just a conscript."

Nobunaga puts down the cup and sighs, "Tell me, Yusef was it? Is dirt useless?"

"Dirt?" Yusef said

Nobunaga then says, "Yes. Dirt. As in the ground that provides humanity with fruits and vegetables. The same soil that holds the water so that we fish our food. Clay that is found in the soil that provides beautiful poverty and buildings?"

Nobunaga sighs again, "Listen, I'm not like other daimyos. I'm...not very liked among warlords here. They don't like some of my ideas for Japan. Hell, I 'earned' the moniker, The Fool of Owari."

"I'm sorry to hear that," Yusef said genuinely.

"Heh! Don't be! I took the name they gave me and used it to my advantage!" Oda said, puffing his chest.

"Exactly! My father criticized me for not being tough, but show him!" Ranmaru proudly said

Yusef begins to smile after such a long time and says, "You're an interesting man, Nobunaga."

Nobunaga grins back, "Likewise. Now, what will you do now since you are now masterless?"

Yusef actually never thought of what he would do.

"Perhaps...I could take help you in your quest for your ideal Japan. If you want?"

Nobunaga asked, "Are you sure?"

Yusef nods.

"Very well then. As we speak, Yusef is dead. From now on, you'll be known as..."

"Yasuke."

On that day, Yasuke became a loyal ally and friend to Nobunaga. During his services, he bravely leads his men in the Battle of Tenmokuzan into a crushing victory. He earned the title of samurai and was given a providence of his own. But most of all, after a long time, Yasuke finally found a family with his sworn brothers, Oda Nobunaga and Mori Ranmaru.

Until...

June 21st, 1582

Honno-Ji Temple

Smoke and screams filled the night as rebel forces led by Akechi Mitsuhide attacked Honno-Ji Temple. The majority of Nobunaga's men attempted to repel the insurgents, but they were overrun. Meanwhile, Yasuke barge into Nobunaga's room with his armor and nodachi strained with the enemies' blood.

"My lord, Akechi's forces are breaking through defenses. At this rate, we must flee!"

Then Yasuke saw Nobunaga in a pure white kimono and kamishimo while Ranmaru got his sword at his side.

"Nobunaga, what are you doing?"

"I'm worried I won't be able to leave, Yasuke," Nobunaga adds solemnly.

Yasuke asked, trying to be oblivious, "I...I don't know what you mean?"

Ranmaru tried to hold back his tears. Yasuke knew what was going on, and his heart sank.

"No...no! Nobunaga, please, we can still escape to Azuchi, Osaka, anywhere! I'll protect you!"

Nobunaga walked up to his dear friend, his hand on Yasuke's shoulder, and smiled weakly.

"You've served me well, my friend. But...I can't ask you to throw your life away for me. You deserve to live your life, and I want you to live it for our sakes."

Yasuke could feel the tears flow from his watery eyes.

"Please...brother..."

Nobunaga and Ranmaru embraced Yasuke for a final mournful hug.

Nobunaga said, despite with overwhelmed with sadness, "I'm happy to have you in my family. Thank you for believing in me."

Ranmaru said, "We'll see you again, Yasuke. We promise."

Once they let go, Yasuke begrudgingly left his old life and fled into the wilderness.

According to some scholars, Yasuke was captured by Akechi Mitsuhide and returned to the Jesuits. However, that was in the not. After the Honno-Ji Incident, Yasuke vanished after Nobunaga's death. Was never heard from again.

Present Day

Yasuke was extinguished as he felt his body almost drained of energy.

Sun saw this and sighed. He then smiled and said, "You fought well."

Yasuke rushed at Sun with a wide swing of his blade, but Wukong jumped in the air to evade to attack. As Sun Wukong is in the air, his staff grows and expands to the size of the pillar that holds the oceans.

Ryuji Bang: The Great Pillar of

Sumeru

As the pillar descends onto the samurai, Yasuke yells as he tries to withstand it to no prevail. As the staff land in the arena, Sun Wukong stood on top of it.

"Hmm, you gave it your all, Yasuke. You should be proud."

Heimdall then announced, "What a decisive blow from the Great Sage! Sun Wukong brought to massive pillar down onto Yasuke. With that, humanity's dreams of victory have been crushed!"

When the humans hear this, any ounce of hope, joy, and will goes out.

Most of the gods wildly cheered as Sun was able to put down that stubborn human.

Meanwhile, the Jade Emperor sighed in relief. Ares and Zeus celebrated Sun's victory. Huitzilopochtli hugged Itzpapalotl.

"Hmm, that human was strong. I'll give that, but in the end, nobody defeats Sun Wukong," Amaterasu said smugly.

As this was going up, Xuanzang, Zhu Baije, and Sha Wuijing celebrated that the old Sun is back and won.

However, underneath the pillar is Yasuke on his knees as he hopelessly tries to get the massive staff off. He could feel the weapon threatening to crush him.

'So...this is it, huh? Once again, I failed. I failed my people, my comrades in India, my brothers, the valkyries, and now humanity. So much for a guardian.'

As Yasuke feels his hope is gone.

"YASUKE!"

Oda Nobunaga's voice echoed across the arena.

"W-was that Nobunaga?" William asked

Oda Nobunaga stood defiantly against the wave of despair and yelled, "This is not how this should end! You have overcome everything that life throws against you! Of all of the warriors I've met on the battlefield..."

Nobunaga then waits through tear-strained eyes, "YOU ARE STRONGEST OF THEM ALL!"

Then the Oda Clan cheered on Yasuke louder than ever.

Ranmaru pleaded, "Yasuke...FIGHT!"

Then all of humanity joined in as their rallying cry was thunderous. Many of the gods believed mankind had gone mad. There's no way that Yasuke survived that attack, right?

After a short while, steam seeps under the pillar. Then the near mountain-sized staff begins to rise. The gods watched in disbelief as Yasuke is slowly lifting up Ryuji Bang.

"I-I-IMPOSSIBLE! Yasuke is...raising Ryuji Bang!" Heimdall yelled

Goll gasped, "Sis...Yasuke is..."

Brunhilde says with amusement, "He's doing what Lord Wukong has since millennials past."

Once Yasuke got to his feet, he let out a mighty roar as he held the staff high to the ovations of humanity.

"GRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

Sun began to lose his balance, so he jumped off the pillar, and Ryuji returned to Sun's hand in staff form.

Once he landed back on the ground, Sun Wukong was in awe of Yasuke. Yasuke's body is hardened and shined like a diamond. His hair was free and unkempt. Steam bellows out of Yasuke's upper back, almost looking like a hagoromo.

Onikami: Eternal Guardian Body

Yasuke pointed his nodachi at Sun and smiled.

"Sorry, Sun, but I'm not losing that easily. So, ready to see which of us is the strongest?"

Sun chuckled, "Well, you're one hell of a guy, Yasuke. Alright then, let's finish this."

As Round Four entered its finale, all of the cosmos watched as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven and The Onikami battle. This battle will be sung to the annuals of history and is forever known as The Legend of Ragnarok!
