A/N: Hey everybody! I hope you are having an amazing day! Here is another chapter just for y'all! Hope you enjoy!
Translation is at the end. :)
The next morning…
Santana wakes up alone in the tent, still reminiscing the night before. After being married for six years, their relationship is still fresh and better than ever. Santana continues to lay down and now stares at the roof of the tent remembering her wedding day. She still remembers and honors the vows that she made to Quinn, and the vows that Quinn made to her. That night was really the best night of her life.
Flashback:
It was June 25th, 2004. The big day.
Santana was a nervous mess, as she paced around the room and started to rewrite her vows, the day of.
"How the hell do you do this?" Santana throws her pencil to the wall in frustration.
"Relax San, the vows are just a small part. The big part is marrying Quinn." Finn happily says.
How the hell is he my best man? Santana mumbles quietly.
"The words aren't flowing Finn. What am I supposed to do? This has to be perfect because she's perfect. And I can't write a damn sentence that makes sense."
"San, Quinn will still love you either way, even though your vows sucked." Puck voiced in.
Okay, how is he my other best man? Santana thought as she crumpled the paper and threw it at Puckerman.
Due to her family's religious traditions, Santana had her wedding ceremony inside of an old catholic church. The pastor, who was the officiant, was delighted to hear the news that Santana was getting married to the person she loved. Although it was to a woman, he was still happy that she had found love.
"Let us begin!" the pastor stated with a big smile, "We are gathered here today to witness the sacred union of Quinn and Santana. We stand here to honor and celebrate the love shared between these two people, as they come together to start their new life, surrounded by their closest family and friends."
"Quinn and Santana, have you come freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage?"
"Yes." Quinn and Santana say in unison to the pastor.
"Will you honor each other as wife and wife for the rest of your lives?"
"Yes."
"Since it is your intention to enter into marriage, please join your hands and declare your vows."
"Before I had met you, something in my life was missing. How lucky am I to call you mine? You have loved me in love and complete me in ways I never knew were possible. I promise to love and cherish you, in good times and bad, to be your partner and best friend. I vow to support you in your dreams and aspirations and to create a home filled with love and happiness for our future family. Today and always, I choose you as my partner for life, Lucy Quinn Fabray." Santana says while slowly shedding some tears, but never taking her eyes off her blonde.
Quinn however, breaks eye contact with Santana and looks at Santana's abuela, who starts to nod in approval. Santana looks off to the crowd confused on why Quinn and her abuela made gestures to each other. Quinn then returns her eyes to face the chocolate ones she loves and takes a deep breath.
*"Yo, Quinn," Quinn starts in Spanish taking Santana by surprise, who was now fully in tears, "te tomo a ti, Santana, como mi esposa. Prometo serte fiel en lo prospero y en lo adverso, en la salud y en la enfermedad. Y respetarte todos los días de mi vida, o hasta que la muerte nos separe. Como este círculo interminable, mi amor por ti durará para siempre. Contigo he encontrado mi hogar y mi corazón, yo te amo Santana Diabla Lopez."*
"I now pronounce you wife and wife, you may now kiss."
End Flashback
A big smile takes over the Latina as she finally gets up and dressed and is off to search for her wife and boy.
Santana instantly spots them near the RV and sees that Lucas was getting a haircut.
"Sweetheart, the more you move, the longer it'll take." Quinn says to her boy
"Momma, I'm trying."
"Hey there love, hey little man!" Santana says she walks over to Quinn and kisses her on the head, then takes a seat in front of the two.
"Mami, tell momma to stop. I'm gonna look weird"
"No you won't bud, momma's amazing at this. I'll tell you what- you get through this and let momma cut your hair and I'll teach you something special. Drum roll please!" Lucas starts making a beat with his hands, "I will teach you how to catch frogs."
"Frogs!?" the young boy looks up at Santana with excitement.
"That's right, sweetheart. I'm willing to share all my secrets."
"Momma hurry!" the boy shouts with the biggest smile imaginable as both Quinn and Santana start laughing at the boy's eagerness.
At the lake…
Santana is kneehigh in the water carrying an empty metal bucket while Lucas is standing on the rocks holding a net.
"I'm not getting anything mami." Lucas says looking defeated.
"Yeah. Little suckers, they know something's up. That's what's going on. I guess we have to do this the old-fashion way." Santana says as she starts moving deeper around the water, trying to lift the boy's spirit, but doesn't see that Quinn is watching from afar.
"All right little man, look. You are the key in all this, okay? All I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go after one of them, then scare the rest of them off and so they're all gonna scatter, and Imma drive them your way. Ok?"
"Okay Mami!" Lucas says while nodding quickly.
"What you need to do is to catch every bad boy you see, all right? You with me, bud?" Santana says with a big smile, trying to find one frog underwater.
"Yeah. Yeah." Lucas says excitedly.
"Hells yeah. Lemme see your mean face. GRR!" Santana says to Lucas, scrunching her face and showing him her mean face.
"GRRR" Lucas copies her
"Atta boy! You ready?!"
"Yeah!"
Santana grins and finds a frog. She quickly signals Lucas by pointing her finger underwater and starts counting down.
"3….2….1…NOW" Santana starts splashing the bucket around trying to scare the frogs and push them towards Lucas, who was moving the net around the water.
"All right little man! They're coming your way! Get 'em! Get 'em! They're coming!" Quinn starts smiling as she hears Lucas' laughs.
"Catch them frogs. Catch them frogs." Santana starts singing to make Lucas laugh even more. "What have you got, bad boy? Whatcha got?! How many frogs did you catch?"
"Mamii! I catched five frogs, LOOK!." Lucas said with the biggest smile.
"Not catched sweetheart, ''Caught,' but there you go kiddo. I'm so proud of you. You are now a master at catching frogs! Just like your Mami!" Santana says, correcting the young boy. "Are you ready for another round?!"
"YES!"
After watching her two favorite people catch frogs, Quinn decided it was time to finish up some chores she had left over, but a voice stopped her in her tracks.
"Hey Quinn, can we talk?"
