The gods were beyond defeated.
There was no anger.
No hysteria.
No bitterness.
They felt something alien to them. It was as if a maul had been thrown down the spine of these people.
Humiliation.
Meanwhile, Abigail collapses on the ground, too tired to stand. She watches the morning sunrise with a look of remorse on her face. Suddenly, Sanngriðr manifests as she stares at the tired witch.
"Don't tell me you're dead too. I was starting to like you."
Abigail groaned, "Just be quiet and help me up."
Sanngriðr rolled her eyes as she picked Abigail off the ground.
"So, how did it feel to kill a god? Wonderful, right?" Sanngriðr asked with glee
Abigail sighed, "If it was Odin, perhaps. But Sekhmet... Well, it can't be helped."
With Abigail in her arms, Sanngriðr flies into the air taking the witch to be healed. While this happened, Abigail heard the cheers from the humans as she claimed victory for them.
Abigail then saw Betty, Voisin, and Isobel celebrating her victory.
"Way to go, Abby!"
"I tip my hat to my fellow witch."
"Bravo, Abigaïl! Bravo!"
As she was taken out of the arena, Abigail couldn't help but smile.
Goll could help but cheer as well.
"Brunhilde, Hera, can you believe it? We actually got three victories over the gods!"
Brunhilde smiles at her younger sister.
"Of course."
"We can win this," says Goll, expressing determination and pride.
Hera smirks as she glares at Zeus.
"Yes. Yes, we can."
Later Afternoon
After the conclusion of the next match, the arena grounds were under construction for the next fight. All the while, the mournful cries of Ra are heard across the gods' side of the arena.
Ra was on his hands and knees as he wailed.
"M...my...my baby! Why! Why her! It was my fault! It...it should've been me! Forgive me, Hathor..."
Huitzilopochtli knelt near the grieving sun god and put his hand on Ra's shoulder.
"It's not your fault, Lord Ra. Your daughter fought with honor till the very end. She died a warrior, be proud of that!"
Odin smirks at this meaningless sentiment. Macha sees this and scowls.
"What's your problem, Odin?!"
Before Huginn and Muginn could yell, Odin spoke coldly.
"Forgive me, but considering that Sekhmet was at a disadvantage from the start. I doubt she died honorably."
Ra felt a pain in his heart as he cried again.
"That was uncalled for, Odin!" Amaterasu spat
Odin didn't respond as he sat on an empty throne.
"To be fair, Lord Odin is speaking the truth," Hermes said.
"Abigail used her knowledge of Salem to dictate the battle to her liking. Knowing a direct fight with Sekhmet would prove fatal, she uses her guile to have Sekhmet wear herself down. The only thing that Abigail isn't prepared for is Sekhmet's vampiric form. But once she got an understanding of it. With her volund, she used her own blood to kill Sekhmet."
"Hermes, your not helping," Ares said as he pointed to a saddened Ra.
As if tensions weren't high enough already.
"Three...wins..."
Zeus croaks darkly as his body slowly morphs into a large muscular physique. Except for Odin, Hermes, and Aphrodite, everyone was terrified by Zeus's raging fury.
"These humans have embarrassed us for the last time!"
Zeus punched the ground, which caused the VIP section of the gods to explode and shook the arena in the process. All of the gods got away except Odin and Aphrodite. After that, the imperial box was in ruins. Odin put up a runic barrier while the Greek goddess of love was unfazed.
Zeus returned to his original form, breathing heavily.
"It seems I have no choice. Hermes."
Hermes walks up to Zeus and bows.
"Yes, Lord Zeus."
Zeus stares sternly at his son and says, "I want you to sign me up for the next fight."
Everyone was taken aback by this. Even Odin didn't expect this from Zeus.
"Are you sure?" Hermes asked
"The honor of the gods is at stake, Hermes. I refused to cower to our creations. I shall fight unless someone says otherwise."
Zeus stares daggers at his fellow gods, seeing if anyone would dare challenge him.
Until someone did...
"No, you shouldn't fight in the next round."
Everyone turned their attention to Aphrodite.
"Pardon?" Zeus said, holding back his anger.
Aphrodite sighed, "Oh, Zeus, don't you think this is what Hera wants? She's most likely waiting for you to act recklessly, and once you fight, she'll strike you down."
Zeus strokes his beard as he ponders about this for a moment.
"Yes. This is what my wife would do. Then what do you suggest then, Aphrodite?"
Aphrodite grins as she says, "Why don't you let me fight in the next one."
Everyone was shocked at the request from the love goddess.
Huitzilopochtli scoffs, "You?! No offense, Aphrodite. But I doubt those jugs of yours are suitable for combat."
Amaterasu nodded.
"I concur. Why should you fight ahead of us?"
Then Amaterasu and Huitzilopochtli felt immense pressure in the air, almost threatening to crush them. Humans and gods alike felt compelled to bow down to the majesty of the divine.
As Zeus and Odin were unaffected, Aphrodite glared at the others with flashing red eyes.
"You dare question my abilities in combat? How unwise of you two. While you both were in your mother's wombs, I fought against a pantheon to claim my right. So don't you dare question me again! Am. I. clear?"
Huitzilopochtli yelled, "Alright! You made your point!"
Then with that, Aphrodite's monstrous aura vanishes, leaving almost everyone stunned.
"H-honey," Ares said while shaking in fear.
Aphrodite's eyes turned back to normal, and she gave an adorable smile to Ares.
"Sorry, dear, I got a bit carried away. So Zeus, do you accept my request?"
Zeus strokes his beard as he thinks about it.
"Hehehe, you make a good point, Aphrodite. Very well. Restore the honor of the gods and Aphrodite?"
Aphrodite gets up and says, "Yes?"
Zeus's eyes flash with cruelty, "For me and Ra's sake, avenge our daughters, Queen of Heaven."
The others were confused by Zeus saying the phase.
'Queen of Heaven?'
Aphrodite gave a wicked smirk as one of her pupils had a cosmic glow.
"Gladly."
In the hallway of the chambers of the Einherjar, Yasuke and Hanzo were conversating about the last match.
"I got to say, Yasuke. That Abigail used her blood as a divine weapon was a stroke of genius," Hanzo said.
Yasuke, with most of his torso bandaged up and a stump where his right arm was, nodded.
"I agree. Lancelot, St. Germain, Ada Lovelace, myself, and Abigail Williams came from different lands and eras, but we are all true warriors."
Hanzo looks at Yasuke's arm stump.
"So when is Ada going to make you that new arm?"
Yasuke laughed, "She said it would be done soon. Very well of her to make me a prosthetic."
As they talk, Hera, Brunhilde, and Goll walk through the corridor to meet the next combatant in round six.
Goll waved at Yasuke and Hanzo, and they replied in return.
"So, sis, who's up for the next round?" Goll said
"With humanity having three victories, we'll keep the pressure on the gods. And who better than this woman."
Then the women stopped at a tall bright orange door with colorful, vibrant Mongolian art.
"Woah," Goll sounded as Brunhilde opened the door.
Once they step inside, they found themselves outside a grassy meadow with a clear blue sky and a welcoming cool breeze.
For a brief period, they walked across the field until they saw ten thousand horses.
"Ten thousand horses? So that means-"
Before Goll could finish, an exuberant female voice caught everyone's attention.
"So it's my turn, I see? About time."
Five horses are being carried by a tall, brawny woman in her mid-thirties. Her skin has a medium tan complexion, silver-blue eyes, and back-length raven hair tied in a braid ponytail and sidebangs. She has on a blue cloth strapless top and briefs, wrist tape, and leather studded boots.
History's Strongest Woman
Khutulun (Mongolia)
"I see you're attending your horses, Khutulun," Brunhilde said with a casual grin.
As Khutulun put her horses to the ground, she chuckled, "What can I say. A horse is every Mongolian's sacred treasure."
Goll looked up at the tall woman and was in awe.
"Wow, you're as tall as Thrud?!"
Khutulun chuckled, "I'm glad to hear it. Say, Thrud, want to see your sister?"
Instantly, the ground shakes as a giant, burly woman with a masculine face approaches the group.
Her hair is pink, tied into a short braid that comes down the right side of her head with a golden hairpin in the shape of a wing. Her eyes are green, and she wears pink lipstick on her big lips.
Her outfit consists of a red and black corset with golden outlines, black fabric leggings with white metal kneepads, red and black wide-heeled shoes with golden lineament, and black armbands. On her right shoulder is a golden armband, and on her right hand is a big golden armlet. She is also dressed in a dark crimson hood with golden accents and feathers down her back.
"T-Thrud?!" Goll yelped as she saw her sister carrying forty horses.
In a deep yet warm voice, Thrud greeted Goll and Brunhilde.
"Oh, so kind of you to drop by!"
Third of the Thirteen Valkyries
Thrud (Norse)
As Thrud put the steed down, Brunhilde gave a small smile.
"It seems you and Khutulun have gotten along. I knew you two would work well."
Goll glances at Brunhilde and asks, "Wait, you knew?"
Hera smirks, "Of course, we knew. It would be foolish not to give the strongest woman a fitting volund."
Goll turns her attention back to Thrud and Khutulun.
"Wait, so what did you do while the other battles were happening?"
Thrud and Khutulun looked at look other and smirked.
"What else, Goll," Thrud said.
Then Khutulun and Thrud began to flex as they showed off their powerful builds.
"Thrud and I trained to perfect our glorious physiques! So when my match comes, our power will be immense!"
Thrud laughed as she pumped her biceps.
"I wouldn't say it better myself!"
Goll awkwardly looked at this as she thought to herself.
"Oh boy, that's my older sister for you."
Brunhilde interrupts the flexing as she states firmly.
"Okay, that's enough posing. It's time for round six."
Khutulun chuckled, "Alright! Time for the gods to taste the earth!"
Then the Mongolian princess turned to Thrud and offered her hand.
"You ready, Thrud!"
Thrud grabs the hand and smirks, "Ready!"
"VOLUND!"
A giant golden cage stood as the humans and the gods prepared for the sixth round within the coliseum.
"Damn! Look at the size of that cage?"
"It's massive! What monsters will be fighting in this?"
"It looks like this one will be a slaughter."
Meanwhile, Ares, Hermes, Zeus, and Odin sat at a private booth to watch Aphrodite fight.
"So this is the battleground my wife will be fighting in?" Ares said as he looked unimpressed.
"Yes, and it seems her opponent is someone quite formidable," Hermes said
Zeus scoffs, "Perhaps, but this time, humanity is in for a rude awakening."
Zeus then glares as Hera, Brunhilde, and Goll show up to watch the round start.
The arena lights dim as Heimdall appears on a platform wearing Mongolian garbs custom in Bokh matches.
"Welcome back, humans and gods everywhere! For the first time since Ragnarok began, the humans are in the lead over their creators with three victories. It seems humanity may be one step closer to victory! So what better stage for this round than for our fighters to be locked inside The Celestial Cell of Pandemonium!"
The humans cheered much to the hatred of most of the gods. While some seemed to respect the strength of humanity.
"So now, in round six, it's all or nothing for the gods! But who will restore honor for the divine? Well, let's see if this goddess has something to say!"
The gates of the gods' side opened, but no one came out.
The audience looked confused as they wondered where is the combatant.
"W-where is she?" Heimdall asked until he heard the sirenic voice of Aphrodite.
"~Oh, Heimdall.~"
Then the light shines on Aphrodite resting on top of a giant decorative clam shell while being carried on multiple stone golems.
"Sorry for being late. I simply can't deny my fellow gods a boost of morale with my beauty."
"Wait? Is this...Aphrodite?" Goll questioned
Heimdall, seeing this, quickly began to announce.
"In the world of both god and man, there is beauty in all things. Such the most delicate of flowers to the purest of maidens. However, in all of Heaven and Earth, one goddess stands above them all!"
Aphrodite's golems carried Aphrodite through the gods in the crowd.
"Aphrodite?! She's...she's so beautiful!"
"Her skin is as radiant as always!"
"Marry me!"
The gods reached out for Aphrodite with a look of desire. The love goddess majestically waved at her admirers.
"Risen from the form of the sea, this goddess's magnificence illuminate throughout Heaven. From causing the Trojan War for the Golden Apple to inspiring the arts of the Renaissance, her place among the divinities cannot be questioned! She is the love that creates as well as destroys!" Heimdall continued
As the golems reached the edge, Aphrodite stood up from the shell.
"~Hmm, now then. Time for me to have some fun.~"
Aphrodite leaped from the shell and gracefully landed in the arena. She then struck a seductive pose for the audience to be in awe.
"Representing the gods in round six! The Greek goddess of love herself! APHRODITE!"
The Gods' Sixth Representative
Aphrodite (Greece)
As Heimdall finished his announcement, the crowd mixed about this one.
While some of the gods lusted for Aphrodite, others questioned if she was capable of fighting.
"W-wait, Aphrodite?!"
"Are we really this desperate to send her out?"
"I want to win badly, but she can't fight! Right?"
Meanwhile, on humanity's side, Goll couldn't understand why they sent a goddess of love into round six.
"I'm so confused. Why send out Aphrodite? I don't recall her throwing a punch before."
Brunhilde, on the other hand, laughed amusingly at this.
"How fucking pathetic! I guess Zeus is shitting in the wind."
But for Hera...
"No... No!"
Goll and Brunhilde look at the queen of Olympus, and all they see is a face of terror.
"H-Hera?"
Hera gritted her teeth as she cursed under her breath.
"Damn you, husband!"
Aphrodite approached the cage as the cell door opened. Aphrodite stepped inside the structure, and the door closed behind her.
Aphrodite smirks as she awaits her opponent.
"Alright, now representing the human race in round six!"
The gates on humanity's side began to open, and a herd of horses stampeded into the arena.
"Does this warrior need a mighty weapon of gods?"
The Mongol warriors on the human side stood and roared, "NO!"
"Tell me! What makes this woman the most powerful in Mongolia?"
"HER STRENGTH!"
"Will her undefeated legacy die on this day!"
"NEVER!"
During this time, Khutulun approached the entrance wearing a long furry cloak.
"In the chaotic history of Mongolia, no warrior displayed unrivaled strength like this woman coming out! From wrestling her suitors to the ground to crushing her enemies on the battlefield. She was the peerless warrior princess of her people!"
Khutulun gave a confident smirk as she entered the arena. The herd parted to make way for Khutulun. Once she got close to the cage. She removed her cloak, revealing a studded red short-sleeved zodog jacket.
"If it wasn't for her cowardly brothers, she would've been the next Khan! Now, she is here to show why she is the strongest woman in history! Ladies and Gentlemen, fighting for humanity! From the plains of Mongolia...KHUTULUN!"
Humanity's Sixth Representative
Khutulun (Mongolia)
All of the human race cheered as Khutulun made her appearance.
"Yeah! We got ourselves another victory!"
"Come on, Khutulun! Throw that bimbo into the dirt!"
"You see this, gods! Your 'champion' doesn't have a chance!"
Meanwhile, in the Mongol section of the crowd, an elderly yet muscular man with grey hair in a ponytail, light yellow eyes, and wearing lacquered iron armor.
"My daughter, may we watch over you in battle. The fact my little girl is fighting for mankind..."
Then the man began to cry outrageously.
"I'm so proud!"
Khan of the Chagatai Khanate and Khutulun's father
Kaidu Khan (Mongolia)
Khutulun enters the cage as her horses leave the arena. Once inside, Khutulun gazed upon Aphrodite and looked unamused.
"Oh dear, you don't look happy. Care to explain," Aphrodite cooed.
Khutulun grimaces.
"Actually, I am. You're the goddess of love, and you're my opponent. Are you serious?!"
The gods and humans were taken aback.
"Seriously, I fought armies, great and small! Wrestle hundreds of suitors for my independence! And I get a love goddess as my opponent? Disappointing..."
Aphrodite feints being ashamed; as she puts her hand on her cheek.
"I see. I knew this was a mistake."
Her expression turned to one of pure disdain as she scowled at Khutulun.
"That I have to settle with a meatheaded bitch like you."
The audience went silent as Aphrodite's demeanor changed. The gods sensed a powerful bloodlust from her.
"Now, since you want a worthy opponent, allow me to get into a more proper combat form. Epithet Embodiment: Nikêphoros!"
Suddenly, Aphrodite's body is engulfed in a dome of cyclonic winds. Everybody was shielded from the winds while Khutulun stood firm as she witnessed the transformation. Once the wind dome disappeared, Aphrodite emerged with golden yellow eyes, her body in a neat bun, and her beasts reduced to a d-cup. Her outfit was changed into a white and aqua blue uppercut leather long-sleeved shirt with attached fingerless gloves, skintight cyan scaled tights, marble and silver belt with a seashell at the center, and studded kick pads.
"Now, is this more suitable for you, human?" Aphrodite said with a wink.
Aphrodite Nikêphoros: Herald of Divine Appeal
Many men in the audience marveled at her new form. The gods were taken by surprise by this.
Khutulun smirks as she says, "Okay then. Let's see if your new form is for show or the real deal!"
As Khutulun takes a wrestler's stance, Aphrodite looks at Heimdall on the platform.
"Heimdall, sweetie. You can announce the match to begin."
Heimdall blushed as he held his horn to his robotic mouth.
"Here we go! The final battle between god and man, Ragnarok, continues! Representing the gods in round six, Aphrodite! Representing the human race, Khutulun! Ready!"
Aphrodite licked her lips as she grinned lustfully.
"Set!"
Khutulun smirked while her muscle tensed.
"FIGHT!"
