Chiyo awoke to rain drops softly hitting the window. She was careful to move, making sure not to disturb Osaka. Her dog was still sleeping too, so she had to make sure not wake him up. She crept out the door into the hallway, making sure not to step on any of the creaking floorboards. She went to open the bathroom, finding it to be locked. She stepped back and saw Kagura walking out from behind the door.

"Good morning Miss Kagura." She brightly said.

"Heya Chiyo, are the others up yet?"

Chiyo shook her head.

"Only me. I came to use the bathroom. Is Miss Kaorin up too?"

"Yeah, she was up about the same time as me."

"Please can I come into your two's room for a while, since Miss Osaka and Miss Sakaki are still sleeping?"

Kagura nodded. Chiyo bowed and then ran into the bathroom.

"Hello." Chiyo said, closing the door and walking into their room. Kagura hadn't bothered to get under the covers again, whereas Kaorin's legs were still tightly nestled under the duvet. Kaorin said good morning her while Chiyo, quickly returning the formality, sat down near the end of her bed.

"Hey Chiyo-Chan, have you ever had a crush anyone?" asked Kaorin.

"No, I didn't really pay attention to boys, me and my friends would just play together."

"Aww you're so pure." Kaorin said, patting the ten year olds head.

"Why should I get up?" Sakaki thought, her eyes closed and her body still. She had woken up but not moved from where she was sleeping.

"Soon I'll have to go back home. I don't want to see them. Maybe if my dad stays I can get a cat...but Mom wouldn't be there. It wouldn't be the same, maybe I could move out and find a part time job. That sounds better than living with only one of them."

She rolled over and saw Chiyo missing. She didn't see it as an issue, and just saw Osaka sleeping.

"Osaka seems ok...she doesn't seem to have much going on in her life. I wish I was her."

Osaka rolled over with her eyes still closed, Sakaki still gazing at her.

"Do yah not want to get up either?" Osaka mumbled out. It caught Sakaki off guard.

"I don't think so."

Osaka continued the conversation with her eyes closed.

"Ah. What are ya thinkin' bout?"

"Well, um..." She was stuck with what to ask.

"What's your life like?" She finally blurted out. Osaka was still for a minute.

"It's not that interestin'. All ah do is go to school, come home, do homework, eat dinner, take a bath, and sleep. Ah don't do much, it ain't a nice life."

"But what about weekends?"

"Ah do things sometimes, but not alot. It just feels like a borin' weekday."

Sakaki was stunned with her answer.

"Woah." She thought to herself.

"Anyways, ah'm gonna try and sleep."

She shuffled across the futon to where Sakaki was and nuzzled close to her.

"It's warmer here. Ah'm staying here."

She put her head right on Sakaki's upper arm and drifted to sleep. Sakaki then closed her eyes and followed suit.

"I think you two would make a great couple." Said Chiyo with a supportive smile across her face. Kagura had just finished up talking to Chiyo about her crush, after she had inquired about it.

"What about you Miss Kaorin, do you like anyone?"

Kaorin pretended to think.

"Hmmmmm."

"It's ok if you don't have one or don't want to." Chiyo piped up. Kaorin laughed a bit.

"Thanks."

"It's coming down pretty heavy out there." Kagura announced, turning her head to the window, subsequently causing her friends to do the same.

"I like the rain," Kaorin began, sinking back into the bed, "it sounds so nice and comforting." She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms under the covers.

"That's the opposite of what rain is, it's all wet and uncomfortable." She crawled over to her and started patting Kaorin's head. The two laughed with eachother until Kagura interrupted them.

"Chiyo-Chan, can I have a towel please."

"Sure, there's one in my closet I'll go get-"

"That's ok, Chiyo, I got it."

She walked to the closet, then exited the room. Chiyo and Kaorin began to give eachother headpats and resumed laughing. Kagura came back into the room drying her hair off.

"Check out what the rain water does to my hair."

The two of them looked up and saw Kagura put the towel into a basket of worn clothes, then gazed at her astounding frizzy hair.

"Wow, that's really frizzy." Kaorin said in awe, getting out of bed to walk up to her. She began to feel it with her hand, gliding through her fluffy hair. Kagura blushed after a while and Kaorin pulled her hand away. Chiyo walked to her and reached up and felt the lower parts of her hair.

"Woah, it's soft."

"Yeah, isn't it?"

"We should go see if the others are up, maybe they'll want to see it."

Chiyo and the others cracked open the door to peer in on them. They still had their eyes closed, even though Osaka was semi-conscious. Kaorin caught notice of Osaka's head placement, which made her heart drop and her face turn red.

"Miss Kaorin, at you ok?"

"Y-yeah."

"Hey, Chiyo-Chan, let's leave them alone for now."

Chiyo nodded and walked back to her room. Kaorin followed, but felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around and Kagura opened her arms up to her. She took the offer and hugged her friend.

"It'll be ok." Kagura whispered.

"Thank you."

They let go and returned to the room.

Sakaki woke up to the feeling of a heavy weight on her chest. Osaka had moved her body in such a way that her head was resting on Sakaki's chest and was maintaining a straight form. Sakaki tried to shake Osaka awake. Her eyes opened to see Sakaki looking at her.

"Good morning Miss Sakaki." She closed her eyes again and almost fell asleep again, Sakaki's body rolling over being the only thing stopping her. Her head slid off and hit the futon, opening her eyes.

"It's almost 11, shouldn't we get up?"

Osaka stared into Sakaki's eyes, until she moved off fully.

"Ah guess so."

She sat up and got out of bed, Sakaki doing the same, and they went to use the bathroom. Sakaki walked downstairs to use one while Osaka used the one upstairs. When Sakaki was done downstairs, she heard a thud come from the bathroom. Chiyo and the others were alert and ran out to see what happened. Sakaki ran up the stairs to see the others staring at Osaka's body on the floor.
