"You two don't need to pass out your flyers anymore." Rias told Asia and Issei as they stood on the other side of her desk, originally planning on getting more of their flyers before their red-headed King spoke up. It was the end of classes and currently all the members of the Occult Club were in the room. "Both of you are ready to receive your familiars."
"That sounds awesome… but, um, what's a familiar?" Issei asked while rubbing the back of his head.
"A familiar is a companion for Devils, they carry out small tasks for them and can assist them greatly." Rias explained as a small bat appeared next to her. "You actually had met my familiar before Issei."
"I have?" Issei tilted his head a bit as he tried to recall seeing a bat somewhere. But a burst of smoke caught his attention and he turned his head to see a familiar face standing there. "Hey, that's the cute girl who handed me the flyer…?!" Seconds after he said that, the girl was covered in smoke and Rias' bat took its place.
Akeno smiled a bit before pointing a finger to the floor and summoned a small magical seal appeared, a small green creature appeared out of the circle with a small stretch. "And of course I have one as well."
"An Imp?" Issei blinked a few times, it was much… smaller, than the creatures he had read about.
"… This is Shiro." Asia and Issei turned their heads to the couches when they heard Koneko speak, in her arms was a small white cat with a bell around its neck. Drake smiled a bit as he reached down and scratched the cat behind its ear, making it let out a few purrs. The white-haired girl looked between Drake and her familiar for a second while not saying anything, before she closed her eyes in pleasure as Drake moved his hand to the top of her head and started petting a certain spot behind her hidden ears.
"And my familiar is-" Kiba was interrupted Issei, who turned away from the blonde boy.
"I don't care about yours." Issei said with a dismissive wave.
Kiba couldn't help but sweatdrop a little and grew a small smile as he looked at his fellow male peerage member, "Come on now, I've got a cool one too…"
Asia smiled brightly at the small creatures in the room. "They're so cute!"
"It is actually an easy process to find and bind a familiar, but there are a few requirements that need to be met before that happens." Akeno smiled as she moved to pick up her familiar, who jumped onto her palm as she bent down.
"Requirements?" Drake repeated, moving his hand off of Koneko's head as he turned his body to look at the female King and Queen, making Koneko silently pout a little at the loss of Drake's petting. "What kind of requirements?"
"Well, you see-" Rias started to explain, but a knock on the clubrooms doors cut her off. "Oh that's right, we have a guest stopping by today before we do anything. I thought she would be coming later on."
"She? Who are you talking about?" Issei asked, but his question was quickly answered as the doors opened and a small group started to walk into the room. It was the entire Student Council walking into the room with Sona in the lead. "N-No way, why are they all here?"
"Um, who are those people?" Asia asked
"These guys are the Student Council of our school, and you see those two girls wearing glasses." Issei whispered to the blonde girl, who nodded her head. "The one with the short hair is Souna Shitori, the president of the Student Council, and the one with long hair is Tsubaki Shinra, her vice-president."
"Did we arrive at a bad time, Rias?" Sona asked her fellow Devil heiress.
"Not at all, I was just speaking to my newest Peerage members about something." Rias replied while shaking her head, before placing a hand on her hip. "It's good to see that you and your Peerage arrived, so what did you want to talk about."
"It's nothing major, I just felt that it would be better for everyone if we introduced ourselves properly. Especially since we both have gotten new additions to our groups."
"Peerage…?!" Issei's eyes widened and pointed over to the other group. "Y-You mean that…"
Akeno smiled at the brunette before she started to explain, "Her real name is actually Sona Sitri, and she is the heiress to one of the top-class Devil families. Like Rias, Sona is a High-class Devil with her own Peerage."
"I never would have thought that there were more Devils at this school…" Issei muttered to himself.
An amused sigh was heard coming from the male next to Sona, who shook his head a bit. "You didn't know that there were other Devils in the school? It's very strange, and a little pathetic, that a Devil wouldn't have noticed us."
"Actually Saji, the two of us had decided to not meddle in each other's business." Sona said to the male, making him turn to look at her. "It's no surprise that Hyoudou is unaware of us being Devils as well."
"Aren't you the guy who recently joined the student council as the Secretary? You're from Class 2-C's..." Issei blinked as he started to recognize the guy… didn't he vote for him?
"Allow me to introduce Saji Genshirou, he's my pawn." Behind Sona, Saji bowed his head a little with smile.
Rias smiled and motioned to Asia and Issei, who were standing right behind her. "This is my Pawn, Issei Hyoudou, and my Bishop Asia Argento."
"Oh, you're a Pawn too? That's so cool!" Issei smiled at meeting a fellow Pawn.
"I must say that being similar to one of the Perverted Trio seriously hurts my pride." Saji commented as he shook his head a few times.
"What did you say asshole?!" Issei growled as he narrowed his eyes.
"Oh, I'm so scared of you." Saji cockily said, "I might be a newly reincarnated Devil, but I'm a pawn that was worth four pieces!"
Drake was the next one to speak as he stepped in front of Issei, "Before this escalates, let's remember why Sona brought you here… It wouldn't look good on her if her newest piece was rude to people he just met and setting a bad example."
That shut Saji up quickly as he glanced at his King, who nodded her head in agreement. "Quite right, Drake." Sona turned to look at her male Pawn, "Behave yourself Saji. Also you should know that Hyoudou was worth eight pieces."
"Eight pieces... Isn't that all of them?!" Saji was taken aback by that, before looking at Issei in shock, "…I can't believe a guy like this was really worth all that…"
"Oh shut up!" Issei quickly shouted.
"I apologise." Sona said with a smile, "I sincerely hope that you all get along well as fellow pieces. Right, Saji?"
"…Yes," Saji nodded his head before taking a few steps forward while extending his hand out. "It's nice to meet you."
Saji quickly grew a smile as he used both his hands to shake Asia's own, and was rubbing the back of her smooth hand. "No, the honor and pleasure are all mine! To have meet such a beautiful young lady!"
Issei and Drake's eyes narrowed at that actions before the brunette moved in between the two and grabbed Saji's hand, squeezing it with all his strength as he gave his fellow Pawn a fake smile. "I am pleased to meet you too Saji! I hope we get along well! But let me just warn you that unless you want to die, I suggest you keep away from Asia."
"Oh, is that a threat I hear?" Saji adjusted his grip and started to squeeze Issei's hand just as hard. "I guess it's to be expected of a horny beast like you!"
As the two glared at each other, they suddenly felt a deep chill go down their spines as the area around them seemed to darken. Issei started to go pale white as he instantly recognized this dark feeling, "Hey… Perverts… I suggest you both behave yourselves, it would be very hard to remove the bloodstains from your bodies." The two turned their heads to see a dark aura surrounding Drake. "… And Saji."
Saji shook like crazy as he stared at Drake before slowly nodding his head. "Y-Yes?"
"… Let me just warn you now… "The son of Sparda said, his aura swirling around him more as several of the room's occupants took a few steps back. "Stay away from Asia…I didn't like the way you were touching Asia's hand. And if you do anything perverted again, it will not end well for you."
"U-Understood!" Saji said shakily as he let go of Issei's hand.
The aura around Drake instantly vanished as he smirked, "That's good to hear. Glad we understand each other."
Sona shook her head before seeing that Rias and her servants had their Familiars out. "So tell me Rias, were you thinking about getting familiars for your newest pieces?"
"That's right, I was planning on bringing them to get their familiars next week…" The Gremory Heiress nodded before crossing her arms, "I'm guessing you had something similar in mind?"
"Indeed, I was planning around the same time… and unfortunately he is only available once a month." Sona brought a hand to her mouth to form a thinking pose as she walked back to her Peerage.
Rias smirked at the chance to compete with her rival. "Then how about we have a duel to decide who gets their familiars first."
"A duel? And what are you suggesting?" The Student Council President asked, "Are you talking about a Rating Game?"
Rias chuckled. "Oh no, we'd never get permission to do something like that. It's overkill for something like this."
"Yes, you're right." Sona said with a tiny smile. "Besides, this isn't the time to call attention to yourself, now is it?"
Rias' expression suddenly darkened. "Don't go there," she threatened. That definitely caught Drake's attention. He looked towards her and also noticed Akeno look at the redhead with a concerned look. He had a feeling that she knew what was going on with the redhead. "I know," Rias proclaimed to change the subject. "Why don't we handle this the old high school fashion way? With a game of tennis!"
"That sounds perfect, but I should tell you; the Tennis Club is using the tennis courts all this week."
Rias waves it off confidently. "Oh, don't worry about that. I'll find a way to convince Abe to let us use it for a day."
"Then it's settled." Sona and the rest of her peerage turned around and started heading towards the door. "I hope you're ready to be beaten, Rias," Sona remarked challengingly.
"And I hope you're ready to bring your A-game, Sona," Rias said back to her, before the council closed the door behind them.
At around lunch time, some of the many students, clubs, and sports teams met up with each other to hang out, eat, or get ready for their next class.
As for Drake… well, he was busy waiting.
"Where are they?" He said to himself. He was currently standing in the middle of one of the sides of the tennis court. It was only him and the little breeze through his hair. "Rias told me to go to the tennis court and wait for her and Akeno, but I don't see anyone."
What a letdown. He then turned left and started making his way to one of the benches on the sideline. "Well, I might as well stay here until someone shows up."
"Hey! You there!" A girl's voice shouted at him from the right. When he turned towards the voice, he was met with the sight of a beautiful busty young woman with long, brown hair done in multiple drill-like curls that were done elegantly standing in front of girls, all holding a tennis racket. She was wearing the school's Tennis Club uniform, which consisted of a white polo and a short pink shirt that went down to her thighs. "What do you think you're doing here?" she demanded with a scowl. "We're using this court for practice."
Drake was able to snap out of his trance and cleared his throat. "Uh, are you Kiyome Abe, the Captain of the Tennis Club?"
"That's right." Kiyome crossed her arms under her chest, making them push up a bit. "What do you want?" However, when the captain looked at him a little closer, she then asked, "Hey, you're Drake Redgrave, aren't you? The one everyone's calling the Dark Prince of Kuoh Academy?"
Drake sighed, remembering how weird the school was and giving titles to almost everyone. "Yeah, that's me."
"Well, what are you doing here?" She asked again, this time more curious than demanding.
"I'm with the Occult Research Club and Rias was supposed to be here to ask you if she and Sona could use the court one day." Drake explained.
As the captain stared blankly, the other girls started whispering and gossiping to one another. Kiyome closed her eyes before looking over her right shoulder at them. "You girls get started," she said. "I'll handle this." She then nodded at Drake to follow her.
As the girls started practicing, with four members volunteering to start with a two on two match, Drake and Kiyome walked out of the high fence surrounding the court. Once they stepped out, they both heard running footsteps to their left. Looking in that direction, the two saw Rias and Akeno jogging towards them.
"Sorry we're late," Rias said, panting lightly from their run. "I had a phone call that kept me at the Clubhouse."
"It's alright," Drake said with a raised hand.
Kiyome turned her body towards the other two beauties and placed her hands on her hips. "So, Devil boy here told me that you Devils wanted to use the tennis court for something." She said with a prideful smirk.
Drake was shocked that she knew about them being Devils and him being a demon. "Wait, how do you know that?" he asked.
"Kiyome comes from a family of Beast Tamers," Akeno answered. "She knows about Devils because she and her family have the supernatural ability to tame many different Youkai and monsters, and other creatures. She's also in the same year as us."
"That's right," Rias said to Kiyome. "I and Sona were thinking of taking our servants to get some Familiars. However, we can't do it all together so we need a way to see who will go first. And so, we thought a game of tennis will do."
"I see." Kiyome held her nose up in an arrogant-like fashion. "But why should I hand over the tennis court to you. And why tennis? Why not some other sport?"
"Because tennis is the one game Akeno, Sona, Tsubaki, and myself are good at." Rias said.
"Wow," she said rhetorically with a deadpan expression. Kiyome brushed it off and showed a more confident and defiant look, complete with fists on her hips. "But even so, making a deal with you, who is a Devil, could make things troubling and scary for me. I see it like a bomb, and I'm the person whose job it is to defuse it. Dealing with you means to be done carefully or else I might have my soul taken away, correct."
Rias looked just as shocked at Kiyome while Drake raised his eyebrows. I mean, yeah they were Devils, but so far he's not seen the whole 'soul as a price' thing.
Rias formed a bitter smile. "Nowadays, we don't do such serious things, you know?" She said. "But I do see your concern. So what do you want in equal trade?"
Kiyome thought for a second. She then looked to her left at Drake. Her blue eyes stared into his icy blue ones, before a lecherous smile formed on her lips.
'Uh-oh.' He sighed.
"I have decided," Kiyome told Rias. "If I let you use the court, then can I borrow Redgrave for a while?"
"Not a chance." Rias rejected immediately with a threatening stare.
Kiyome sighed. "Shit, we'll I'll just have to go with the other option. Because my family owes Sparda great deal, and seeing as Drake is Sparda's son... I'll give the court."
Drake and Rias shared a look before Rias nodded. "Very well."
"Good, in return I want to watch just to make sure you Devils don't go overboard." Kiyome huffed, crossing her arms under her breasts, pushing them up and briefly drawing Drake's gaze to them which Kiyome noticed as she sent him a wink but he pretended like he didn't notice much to her amusement.
One thing that Drake forgot about Kuoh Academy is that word gets around fast. So when people heard about the match between Rias Gremory and Sona 'Shitori', many rushed out to the tennis court to watch first hand.
"Do your best out there you two!" Drake cheered for Rias and Akeno from outside of the court's fence, as they wore rather tight sports clothing that hugged their bodies in all the right places. The two gorgeous young women were both wearing white wrist sweatbands, while the redhead wore a pink sport dress with a low V cutout that showed much of her cleavage and no sleeves. Akeno was wearing a yellow sleeveless polo and a darker yellow mini shirt.
"Come on, Sona! Stick it to those jack-wagons!" Saji cheered for both Sona and Tsubaki. The two were also wearing clothes that—while covered more—didn't leave much to the imagination. Both black-haired girls whore white sleeveless polos and black wrist sweatbands, but Sona was wearing a pink mini shirt and Tsubaki had on a green one.
"Akeno, we're in it to win it," Rias said to her Queen.
"Got it," Akeno responded. "No mercy!"
"Everyone ready?" The redhead smiled confidently while holding up the ball. "Good."
"Ha, may the best Devil win," Sona said to her.
And with that, Rias served the tennis ball. Sona didn't need to move that much and sent the ball back over the net. Akeno rushed to her right and shot the ball back over. Tsubaki, with a racquet with a strangely long handle, strikes it overhand back at the other team.
As the game goes on, Drake and Kiyome watch in amazement at the quality of skills displayed on the court. "Wow," Drake said breathlessly, while blushing because whenever one of the girls hit the ball, their skirts lifted up just enough to show their panties. "I never knew they were this good."
"I know." Kiyome admitted, trying to follow the tennis ball. "I'm actually surprised I never knew about this. They're shooting that ball as fast as I can."
"I'd let her smack my tennis balls." Said a voice to their right. When they turned their heads at it, they found Motohama and Matsuda standing next to them. With cameras.
"W-What the hell are you two doing!" Kiyome exclaimed angrily at them while Drake just stared irked at them. No one else seemed to notice and continued watching the game.
"Can you blame us for not wanting to enjoy this, Abe?" Matsuda said, not taking his eyes off the game. "You babes never let us snap one when you guys are playing, why not now? I'm beefing up my spank-bank material, dog. I'm gonna be whacking it for weeks after this!"
"I wish I had a camera so I could film those jiggle-jugs into prosperity!" Motohama said.
Kiyome growled at the perverts in disgust, as they continued making comments. They were going to pay. However, before she could start killing them, Drake placed a hand on her shoulder and whispered something into her ear. After he finished, the captain looked at him and nodded with a smirk.
"I'd like to see them play a little two-on-two on my junk," Motohama said. It was the last one they'll make before a finger tapped both their shoulders. Matsuda and Motohama turned away to see who it was, without taking the cameras away from their eyes.
It was Drake and Kiyome smirking evilly at them. Each with a fist cocked back.
POW! POW!
A little bit away from Kenny and Kiyome's location, Issei, Asia, Kiba and Koneko stood next to each other as the crowd all around them continued to grow.
"I don't think I've ever seen this many people at a tennis match before," Kiba commented after looking around at how many students there were. When Sona shot the ball back, almost all the girls cheered. And then when Akeno hit the ball, almost all the boys cheered.
"Is it just me, or is this getting a little out of control," said Koneko.
"I'm not complaining." Issei said with a perverted expression as he got to see the girls' panties where their skirts lifted. Suddenly, a stone smacked him in the side of the head, causing him to groan and fall down.
"Bullseye." Drake fist bumped like Kevin McCallister from Home Alone.
Back on the field, Sona was about to serve the ball when an idea popped in her head. "Let's see how you like a magic attack," she said before striking the ball, however, her family's magic circle appeared behind her as she infused her magic into the ball. "Sona Sitri style!"
The tennis ball, now giving off a blue aura, rockets towards Rias at high speeds.
"Oh really?" Rias said. "Let's see how the 'Gremory counter strike'—" Before she could even begin to try and hit it, the ball went off in totally different direction. This shocked Rias by its suddenness.
"Point to Sitri," announced Reya from the high chair.
"Is magic even allowed?" Drake asked, looking to the girl next to him.
"Unfortunately, there's no rule against magic," Kiyome said, rubbing her head, "because no normal player uses it."
"Ha-ha!" Saji glutted while sitting on top of the fence holding up a flag. "Suck on that, Hyoudou!"
"Hey, we did agree to no magic, didn't we," Kiba asked Koneko, feeling a bit afraid of what this was going to lead to.
"Yeah, but that does seem to be stopping them," she replied.
"Well then I guess we've kissed the rule book goodbye on this, huh?"
"It's cool. Rias is about to lay the smack down, anyways."
"Look, Sitri," Rias said with a confident smile. "You can cheat all you want to, but in the end, it's not going bit of difference in this game." She then challenged Sona by pointing her racquets at her with a fist on her hip. "You want a 'magic show'? Well, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve!"
"Do your worst, Gremory." Sona accepted the challenge with a confident smile of her own. "You think I'm afraid of you. Bring it on!"
The rest of the game was like watching two powerful beasts battling chaotically against each other.
SLAM!
Kiyome's left hand slammed a broken pair of racquets onto the table of the Clubhouse. "What the fuck is wrong with those two!" She shouted furiously, startling Issei, Asia, and Kiba while Koneko remained unfazed.
"Come on, Koyome, it's not that bad." Drake said dismissively.
"'Not that bad'," she asked in a normal tone before switching to anger again. "Not that bad! Those two were out of control! The equipment that our club uses are destroyed! The referee's highchair is broken! And worst of all; THE TENNIS COURT WAS ON FIRE!"
"…Okay, yeah it's pretty bad."
The captain sighed miserably and fell back into one of the sofas. "It's only a good thing no one got hurt, Sona and Rias wiped everyone's memory, and we were able to put out the fires," she said with her eyes close and her face directed upwards. "But who' going to pay for the damages and this crap."
"…Rias has already hired some Devils to repair the court before the next morning," Koneko said, picking up the two broken racquets. "…But it's too bad it was a draw. … Since no one won, they're suggesting we all compete in a team match.
"Oh really?" Issei asked.
"Serious as a heart attack, my friend," Kiba said. "They're all out there right now deciding what we should play."
"Whatever it is, please do it somewhere that can take the punishment," mumble a miserable Kiyome. "I don't think the school board can handle another heart attack.
The conversation ended when the door opened, and in walked Rias and Akeno. "We've chosen Dodgeball as the game to play," Rias announced before walking over to the others. "We'll meet the Sitris tomorrow night in the gym. Luckily the no one will be in the school so we'll be able to play without anyone getting in the way. So, let's win this."
"Right!" Her peerage responded with enthusiasm.
"Go team." Drake raised a fist, smirking.
Kiyome lazily throw up one fist without any enthusiasm. "Yay."
On the night of the Dodgeball match, the Gremory team plus Drake and Kiyome were in the gym before the Sitri team arrived.
"They outnumber us by two people, so we've asked the others to be referees," Rias told her servants while they stretched themselves to prepare for the game. Drake and Kiyome were acting as spectators, seeing as this was a Peerage vs peerage thing and Drake wasn't part of it. However, Rias did say he should be able to come with them to the Familiar Forest given he is an ally of the House of Gremory after she gave him the blessing.
"Don't worry," Rias said, wearing a suit, but with pink where the gray would be. She caught the one ball that Kiba threw to her. "It's like any other Dodgeball game; just aim the ball at the Sitris and hit 'em right in the face!" She throws the ball back at the Knight.
"Asia picked it up in no time." Kiba caught the ball. "I'm sure you can do it, too."
The mention blonde girl was on the floor painfully doing the splits, with not much of a choice, as Akeno was bent over and pushing her back. The two of them, including Koneko, were wearing white shirts with navy blue accents with the Kuoh Academy emblem embroidered on the front, left side, and navy blue bloomers that showed off much of their legs and thighs.
"Aaah, my legs feel like they're on fire!" Asia yelled in agony, continuing to be forced down to stretch.
"Trust me, Asia." Kiyome called to her for where she was sitting next to Drake. "It's always going to feel like that."
"Come on, just stretch a little further. You can do it," Akeno said in an assuring tone, smiling as she helped Asia.
"I'll try," said the blonde. "AAAHHH!"
As that was going on, Issei watched the two, his expression turning more and more perverted as he gazed at Akeno's long legs, and enjoyed the way Asia was doing the splits. Drake saw the brunette's expression and rolled his eyes before catching Koneko's attention and gesturing to Issei. She nodded and put a little pressure on him into doing a spilt which caught him to scream in pain.
After about two more minutes of preparing, Issei had everyone gathered around him before handing out something to them.
"Team headbands?" Rias said, looking down curiously at the white headbands that had the words 'Occult Research Club' in Japanese knitted into them.
"Nice!" Kiba said.
"Yeah," Akeno agreed. "We're going to look totally badass."
"Thanks," Issei said, tying his around his head. "I couldn't sleep last night, so I decided to make these."
Well, we appreciate your efforts, Issei. Now, Let's put this on, go out there, and do our best to kick some Sitri butt!" Rias exclaimed.
"Yeah!" The others cheered.
"Ready to rock?" Sona's voice was heard. They turned their heads and saw the entire Student Council standing on the other end of the gym. Just like the Gremory team, the girls wore T-shirts and bloomers, while Saji wore the male tracksuit.
"This should be good." Drake remarked to Kiyome, who nodded in agreement. Suddenly, a familiar feeling built up in Drake's body. "Shit, gotta go. Nature's calling."
"Don't be gone too long or you'll miss the entertainment." Kiyome said sarcastically, getting a lazy salute from the son of Sparda in response which made her giggle.
Ten minutes later, Drake was making his way back to the gym hall, having to run into the school itself and find the toilet to do his business before coming back. As he came closer to the gym hall, he paused and turned his head to the side, sniffing the air. He could smell something... a scent, one he did not recognise. Making his way to the gates of the school, Drake passed them and walked over to his parked van, which had an upgrade... namely a blue neon sign saying 'Devil May Cry' on the side. He went inside and picked up Rebellion before exiting, locking the doors afterwards and making his way to where he could smell this new scent.
Ever since the Devil within him had awakened, his senses were much stronger than ever, including smell.
He silently made his way passed several trees until he came to a stop, looking up one of the higher trees. "Come on out, I know you're there!" For a few moments nothing happened as Drake stared silently up the tree, but then the son of Sparda whipped out Ebony and fired at one of the branches, making a figure leap away in response.
"Impressive, how did you know where I was, nya?" The figure was revealed to be a woman as she landed several feet away from Drake, the full moon's light broke through the trees to reveal the woman's appearance, and Drake had to admit she was extremely beautiful. She had long, flowing black hair that went all the way down to her lower back and golden eyes that looked familiar. She was wearing a tight, black kimono with a red interior and a yellow obi that accentuated her large breasts. She was also wearing an ornately decorated headband and a set of golden and black beads around her waist where her kimono had an opening, showing off her long, smooth legs. She was barefoot as well but that didn't seem to bother her at all. What really caught his attention were the pair of black cat ears on top of her head and two black tails swishing back and forth. "What's a matter, see something you like?"
"… Who are you?" Drake asked as he ignored the woman's question, making her pout as she crossed her arms under her breasts causing them to appear bigger than before.
"First you attack me, then you ignore my question, and you don't even know who I am… are you really a Devil?"
"You're a Nekomata, a cat-like species of Yokai. But if I had to guess, you're a Nekoshou, one of the stronger types of the Nekomata." Drake deduced as he studied the woman, she was definitely the same kind of Yokai as Koneko… but what was their connection...
"So you do know about my race." The woman replied with a smile as she tilted her head, "You even know about the specific type, you're pretty good, nya~."
"I happen to know a Nekomata, so when I got curious about them I decided to do a little research… Now back to my first question, who are you?" Drake narrowed his eyes, gripping Rebellion in his right hand. "And why are you here?"
"My reason for being here is my own, but if you intend on threatening me…" The woman instantly appeared in front of Drake with a purple mist in her hand, "You won't leave here in one piece."
Raising her hand up, the poison mist exploded outward at Drake's head. The white-haired Demon Hunter quickly leaped to the side to avoid the mist before throwing his sword at Kuroka as he flipped back. The cat woman leaped out of the way and once again charged forward, swiping her claws rapidly at Drake, who dodged most of them before he met her downward slash with a high kick, nearly striking the woman's head, but she moved her head out of the way and threw a fist forward. Drake raised his arms to block the strike, but the impact's force made him fly back towards one of the trees, with a twist of his body his feet landed on the bark before he used the hard surface to launch himself at the Nekomata. The woman leaped forward as well and created more of the purple mist to surround her, leaping at Drake with a twist of her body.
'She's good!' Drake thought to himself as he managed to flip over her in mid-air. However, he grabbed her by her kimono and yanked her into a tree, causing her to grunt on impact with it before getting to her feet. She hissed then ran up the tree and hit a backflip when Drake charged at her. As she flipped through the air, she sent a kick to the son of Sparda who fell back to avoid it. As he fell back however, he took notice to a certain fact as the woman's kimono lifted into the air a bit as she landed on the ground.
"Going commando, huh?" Drake remarked. "Bold. Respect."
"Thank you. I don't really feel comfortable with bras and panties nya!" The woman smiled cheerfully as she ran at him and threw another punch which Drake caught, though with a bit of trouble. He could tell that this woman was holding back, not even going all out with him "It feels much better when I'm free."
Drake moved out of the punches path and threw his own punch along her arm, pushing it away as he punched her in the shoulder. It didn't seem to bother her as she kicked up at his right leg with enough force to make him look his footing for a second, but that was all she needed as she grabbed his tanktop and flipped him over her and slammed him to the ground. But Drake got a good grip of the ground and used his body weight to shift his position a bit before rapidly kicking the woman's chest, forcing her to take a few steps back as Drake got back to his feet before darting forward to strike again, but the Nekomata recovered and shot her hand out in a knife strike at incredible speeds with her claws glinting in the moonlight. Drake managed to shift his body in time to move out of the blow, but was still struck a little by her claws as he caught her arm in a tight grip.
Pulling her arm towards him, Drake jumped over her with a twist of his body and slammed his foot into her head, releasing his grip on her arm to let her fly back against a tree."…Sorry, but I've been trained to deal with female fighters that use their beauty and seduction with their fighting style. Man or woman, human or supernatural being, when I fight it means I hold nothing back."
"Interesting, you're a strong one nya!" The woman replied as she easily stood back up straight as if nothing happened, she stretched her arms a bit like a cat before going into a relaxed stance. "But we both know that we're both holding back. After all, the two of us can't afford to be seen by others can we?" A coy smile grew on her face as she walked up to him in a seductive pace, her hips swaying side to side as she got close. "After all, not holding back with such raw demonic power would get anyone's attention, right... Mr. Devil?"
"You know what I am." Drake said with narrowed eyes as he cautiously stared at the woman in front of him as she came to a stop.
"I've met several Devils in the past, even half-bloods." She clarified. "I've had my fun for today, so how about we call this a draw, nya? Anymore and we'll be catching some unwanted attention." The woman suggested as she reached up and brought a hand to his cheek, which he grabbed in a soft, but firm grip. He knew she was correct on that aspect, if they fought at full strength then who knows who would catch wind of their battle… and to be honest, he was a little concerned on who would actually be the victor in this fight, or if he would even still be alive at the end. "Hmm… To be honest I didn't really intend to start a fight, I simple wanted to check up on someone."
"Are you talking about Koneko?" Drake questioned as he looked into the woman's hazel eyes.
"Koneko? Oh that's right, she goes by a different name now." The woman said in a sad tone as her ears drooped a little, "That sticks, and I had given her such a cute name too."
Drake's eyes narrowed after he heard that, he definitely knew Koneko was an orphan, even though the petite girl didn't like to talk about her past that much… Now that he thought about it, she did look distant and sad about something after Drake said he was Asia's unofficial big brother, and she called herself his little sister. Koneko gained a look in her eyes that told the story. "… You're her sister, aren't you?"
That seemed to make the woman perk up as she looked up at him, "That's right! She's my cute little sister, Shirone!" The smile on her face seemed to grow as she continued to speak, "Since I can't be with her, I like to keep an eye on her from time to time. To make sure she's healthy and safe, nya."
'Shirone, huh? It is a cute name… I wonder where the name Koneko came from.' Drake thought to himself before shaking his head, "What do you mean you can't be with her?"
She stared up at him, blinking a few times in surprise, before she started to giggle. "You really don't know who I am, do you? Oh well, you'll find out sooner or later," The woman lowered her hand away from his face, "I should be going now, I'll see ya later, nya!"
As the woman started to retreat back into the forest, Drake called out to her, "You didn't tell me who you were."
"I didn't, did I? How about this then, if you can find out who I am by the next time we meet I'll give you a nice reward, nya." The woman gave him a wink as she licked her finger before turning away again, this time she quickly disappeared into the forest. "Until we meet again!"
And she was gone.
"Woah..." Drake muttered, before shaking his head. "Is this how Spider-Man felt after meeting Black Cat in Marvel comics?"
He shook his head and turned to head back to the gym, and along the way he ran into someone.
"Drake..." Koneko spoke up as she got closer to the Demon Hunter.
"Hey Koneko, how'd the game go?" Drake asked with a small smile at the girl, unsure if he should tell her he just ran into her big sister but decided not to. There was obviously something going on and bringing it up now may not be the best bet,
"We won." The white-haired girl nodded her head. "President was wondering where you went, since you disappeared in the middle of the match… Did something happen?"
"Needed the toiler." Drake said, briefly glancing in the direction the mysterious woman that was Koneko's sister had left. With a smile on his face, Naruto turned back to Koneko. "Let's head back."
"… Alright, but Rias said to go to the Clubroom instead." Koneko replied after staring at Drake for a few seconds, she could tell something was bothering him but didn't know how to confront him on it. The three started making their way to the Old Building in silence, neither Drake nor Koneko saying anything to one another for a few minutes. The Son of Sparda looked down at Koneko and saw the torn gym shirt, most likely from the match. Silently he took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders, causing her to look up at him.
"Sorry, but I don't think a shirt that's been ripped apart like that is a good fashion to have at night." Drake said to the girl with an amused smirk. The petite girl looked at him for a few seconds before nodding her head and put her arms into the sleeves, it was both a funny and very cute sight to see her in a coat a few sizes too big.
"Thank you, Drake…" Koneko smiled a little bit as she silently took in the scent coming from Drake's jacket. She never really noticed until now, but Drake's scent had always caused a soothing feeling to flow through her when she was near him. Now she never thought of Drake in a romantic sense, and she knew he didn't see her in that way either… he was like a brother really. Though she would admit that if she were to try and find someone later on, she would prefer if he had the same qualities that Drake had, such as being very strong, intelligent, and a lot more. As Koneko stopped enjoying the feeling, she picked up a different scent coming from Drake's coat and from the half-Devil himself, it was very faint yet familiar scent. But the white-haired girl quickly dismissed the thought, after all there was no reason for her to be here.
"It's no problem Koneko." Drake said as he rubbed the back of his head, silently hoping to himself that Koneko's keen nose wouldn't pick up the Nekomata's scent. "So tell me, how did the game go? Did Asia do okay?"
"We won the game. When the time limit had finished up only one member was left on the other team." Koneko said as they could see the roof of the Old Building a distance away. "Asia managed to handle herself okay."
"I'm sure she must have been startled on how extreme Devil games are." Drake chuckled to himself as he imagined the former nuns face, "So how did the pervert do?"
"Sona nailed him in the nuts with a magically powered throw."
Drake stopped walking as they reach the clearing to the building and blinked a few times, "… Damn, I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for him." Shaking his head a few times he followed Koneko upstairs and into the Clubroom, all the other members were already inside and changed.
"Right on time, we've been waiting Drake." Rias spoke up as she placed a hand on her hip, Koneko walked passed her and moved into the other room to change. "Where exactly did you wonder off to?"
"Toilet…" Drake replied before quickly changing the subject, "So I heard you guys won your game. Congratulations you guys!. Koneko told me what happened, it sounded like quite a show."
"It's a lot better than how I was… I feel bad that I was eliminated." Issei commented as he rubbed the back of his head. At that moment Koneko was walking back into the room, handing Drake his coat before moving next to Kiba.
"I wouldn't say that, you did make these headbands for us and they helped raise our spirits." Kiba said as he raised on of the headbands for all to see, causing everyone to agree with the Knight's words.
"Thanks Kiba! For a handsome boy, you can say some nice things from time to time!" The blond in question laughed awkwardly at Issei words, he didn't know if that was supposed to be a complement or an insult.
"Heard you got struck in the nuts." Drake said with a smirk as Issei let out a mix between a whine and a grumble. "I still don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for you."
"Feel sorry for me!" Issei exclaimed.
"Hmm... nah, I'm just gonna laugh." Drake said and proceeded to laugh much to Issei's annoyance.
"Anyway, we better get going." Rias said before looking at Drake. "You're sure you don't want to come?"
Drake shook his head. "I know you said I should due to being an ally of your house, but this is something for Asia and Issei. Plus, I've got my own things to do at Devil May Cry. Just make sure Issei doesn't go and molest a female Familiar or something."
"Hey!" Issei shouted.
Rias chuckled but nodded. "I'll see you later then?"
Drake smiled at her. "Yeah."
Drake left the clubroom, chatting with Kiyome, as Rias and her servants teleported to the Familiar Forest. No one noticed a black cat sitting in front of one of the window, staring into the room with its hazel eyes.
"He was an interesting one indeed, nya!" The cat said to itself in a familiar voice, "And he seems to care a lot about some of the people in there… my Shirone has a good batch of friends and comrades." The cat turned around and hopped off the windowsill, landing gracefully before walking into the night.
