Holly was not surprised by Robert's suggestion, honestly it made sense and they had discussed it in the past. "I think that's a good idea but I would like to wait until after the holidays. I want to spend them focused on you and our family."

Robert nodded, he understood. A lot had been taken from them and this was always Holly's favorite time of the year. "I understand but if you change your mind..."

"I will let you know." Holly smiled and gave him a hug, just loving being in his arms again. "Thank you for taking the best care of me."

Robert's arms wrapped tightly around his love. He wouldn't trade this for anything. "Thank you for loving me."

Holly moved back so she could look into those blue eyes. "Always and forever."

"I've got a terrific idea." Robert said while looking into her eyes.

Holly smiled up at him. "Want to share?" She asked him, her curiosity definitely piqued.

"How about we take our children and granddaughter and go pick out a tree?" Robert asked her while his arms stayed around her.

Holly's face lit up at the thought. "Oh yes! We need to get one." Holly ran over to one of her bags and dug out some gloves. "I got us both some gloves, I didn't think about them earier but now is a perfect time to use them."

"That is if we don't forget them." Robert grinned while he took his gloves. "Thank you."

Holly gave him a quick kiss then hurried down the stairs. They asked who wanted to come with them and fortunately everyone in the house wanted to go. Seana really wanted to ride with Robert and Holly so they put her booster in his car.

When they got to the tree lot they met Robin, Patrick, Emma and Noah. Robert had sent a text to Robin thinking it would be a nice surprise. Holly was very excited to see them and Noah and Seana immediately started looking for trees together. Noah was being a good big cousin and trying to make sure Seana knew which one was good.

Ethan and Robin were smiling lovingly at the two of them interacting.

Holly's smile never left her face watching everyone interact as she held onto Robert's arm. "You know you happened to make this even more perfect."

Robert shrugged and grinned, a all knowing grin. "I still have a few tricks up my sleeve."

Holly gave him a look,. "Oh do I know you do. I feel like this is all a dream but honestly it is better than any of the dreams I had whilst..." Holly stopped she was not going to let talks of that damper their family fun.

Robert knew she was trying to redirect and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "I love you."

Holly's eyes sparkled as she looked into his. "I love you too." She went to kiss him when she felt a snowball hit them. She looked over in shock, seeing it was Ethan who was holding Seana. "Ethan!"

"What? Seana wanted me to." Ethan winked as Seana giggled.

Robert laughed and shook his head. "Sure she did. Do we have a tree?"

Noah ran over to Robert and leaped into his arms. "Yes grandpa! A big one!"

"Show me which one." Robert walked over to the tree with Noah.

Robin took this chance to talk to Holly. "Hey Holly, you okay?" She asked her.

Holly looked over at her stepdaughter and nodded. "I'm wonderful. I haven't had a getting prepped for Christmas that has made me smile like this in a long time." She gave Robin a hug.

Robin hugged her back. "I really would like to have some us time, maybe even include Jayne before I go back to California. Are you busy tomorrow?"

Holly shook her head no. "I don't think I am and I would love it."

Robert paid for the tree and they all got it back to the townhouse. Robin, Patrick, Emma and Noah went with them to help them decorate.
