Disclaimer: I do not own Devil May Cry or High School DxD. I only own the OC Drake Redgrave.

Drake stood on the rooftop of Devil May Cry, Rebellion slung across his back, hands in the pockets of his pants while his coat swayed in the gentle, flowing breeze as he stared up at the full moon. He was soon joined by Raynare and Kalawarner, in their 'battle' attires, as they descended from the air and drew their wings in. The son of Sparda glanced at them as they came to join him in staring out at the town.

"Anything?" He asked.

Raynare sighed and shook his head. "Nothing. Not a damn peep. Kokabiel's being smart if he's hidden, and allowing his followers to go about in a discreet and subtle manner. But if he's got someone like Freed Selzen in his service, then I doubt stealth will be a common thing he'll be using. If someone like Freed is around, he'll slip up eventually."

Drake hummed and looked back out at the city. "I still can't believe that warmonger is attempting to open the Demon World and release Mundus." Kalawarner said with a slightly fearful tone, getting Drake's attention. "He not only wants the Demon King free... but the Great War as well between Devils, Angels and Fallen Angels. And somehow, stealing the Holy Swords is going to get him closer to that goal."

"Never try and understand a war-hungry maniac, Kala." Drake said, shaking his head. "All we need to know is the bastard's planning on bringing the apocalypse that's often depicted in the Bible or sprouted about by priests. Thankfully, I won't allow him to go through with his plans. While I live and breath, humanity is protected and I'll rot in the foulest depths of Hell before I let some asshole open the portal to the Demon World, and undo all my father's hard work."

"So what do we do?" Raynare asked, glancing at him.

Drake was silent as he stared ahead, his mind at work on what to do next.

(The next day)

"What do we do Xenovia? We sold our souls to Devils!?" Irina said in a dramatic fashion as she moved her hands into a praying motion.

"I know what you mean…" Xenovia nodded her head in agreement as she held her head down, "It may have been to help us, but accepting their help makes it feel like the world is ending!"

"ALL I DID WAS TREAT YOU GUYS TO A MEAL!" Issei shouted in anger, making many heads in the family restaurant turn to look at the group. Koneko looked up from her drink and let out a sigh before tugging on the brunette's shirt, silently signaling him to calm down. "Yeah, I know Koneko. We can't afford to have things go so sour so soo-" Issei was cut off as he, Koneko and Saji, who had been forcibly recruited to help them, suddenly held their heads in pain.

"Please show mercy to these three good-hearted Devils." Irina prayed while moving her hand from above her head to her chest before moving across to the sides.

"That is one blessing we don't need!" Issei whined as the Devils continued to hold their heads with Saji gritting his teeth and Koneko nodded her head in agreement, her body twitching as she also had her hands on her head.

"Oh I'm sorry, I just felt like doing it."

Xenovia interrupted the conversation by placing her now empty glass onto the table, giving the three a hard stare as she spoke in an even tone. "Now how about you tell us why you've come to us."

"We would like to help you destroy Excalibur." Issei said in a serious tone as he placed his hands on the table.

"Well, that's a pretty bold plan." Issei, Koneko, Saji, Xenovia and Irina looked up to see Drake standing there, dressed in his usual red attire with his red coat on, the guitar case containing Rebellion slung across his back and his hands in his pockets. He looked at Issei. "I assume that's why you called for my aid?"

"Right. Glad you could make it." Issei said with a smile as Drake grabbed a spare chair and brought it over to sit on. "I know you said you didn't care about the Holy Sword situation, but when you think about it we all get what we want out of this. Kiba wants to get his revenge by defeating Excalibur, the Church wants the swords back no matter the cost, and you want to stop Kokabiel from bring the apocalypse, right? The goals might be different but they have the same result."

"Hmm, smart thinking, didn't know you had it in you." Drake said, smirking as Issei shot him an annoyed glare before the son of Sparda went serious as he looked at the two Holy Sword wielders. "Well? What do you two think?"

Xenovia was silent as she sipped her drink before putting it down. "I understand the situation. I don't mind letting you take care of one sword."

Irina gasped and looked at her partner in shock, and she wasn't the only one. Issei, Koneko and Saji looked surprised as well. "Wait s minute, Xenovia!" Irina exclaimed,

"You mean it?!" Issei asked in shock.

Saji growkled under his breath. "Why couldn't she have just refused us like I hoped she would?!"

Drake glanced at him before looking at Xenovia as the girl spoke. "You know who the other side has, Irina. Kokabiel is dangerous. Honestly, it'll be impossible to recover all three swords on our own."

"Yeah, I get that, but they're like... Devils." Irina pointed out, gesturing to the Devils among them,

"We have a 30% chance of returning home."

"We knew what kind of risk we were taking before we got here. This isn't anything new, Xenovia!"

Xenovia nodded in agreement. "True. We were sent by the higher-ups, fully prepared to sacrifice our lives for the Sacred Cause."

Irina shot her partner an annoyed look. "That's what I just said. Were you even listening to me at all?"

"Alright, alright, enough." Drake cut in after being silent for a bit. "We all agree to destroy an Excalibur sword, even if it's just one, while the other two are returned to the Church. We stop Kokabiel from opening the portal to the Demon World,. however he'll achieve that, and prevent him from restarting the War with the Demons as well as bringing Mundus through to the Human World. But, we'll need one last person to help out in this since he's got a grudge against the Excalibur as well."

"…I understand the situation," Kiba said with a sigh, looking at the two Holy-Sword users with a glare. "But I'm very disappointed knowing the wielders of the Excaliburs are giving me the permission to destroy it."

After Drake called him, they agreed to meet Kiba at a park. When they arrived that afternoon, they found the Knight standing near a water fountain. Luckily he didn't attack, making it easier for Drake and Issei to explain the plan of action.

"Didn't you recently abandon you place in the House of Gremory?" Xenovia asked, earning a hateful glare for him. "Sense you're a stray now, we could cut you down without any time to spare."

She reached into her cloak, where she hid her sword. Kiba responded by preparing to summon one of his swords. "You're welcome to try."

"Enough! Both of you!" Drake stepped in, shooting both a glare, his eyes flashing demonic red briefly. "We have a common enemy, so it makes sense that we work together to defeat that enemy. In the end, everybody wins with the results."

"You obviously resent what the Holy Sword project did, I completely understand." Xenovia said to the blonde Knight. "That incident is viewed with great repugnance by those of us currently with the Church as well. We know. And that is why the person responsible was punished. Excommunicated."

"His name is Galile Valper." Irina piped in. "Also known as the Archbishop of Annihilation."

Kiba's face darkened at the mention of that man. "I know Valper. It was all him. He was responsible."

"i told you one of his tools was a Stray Priest, didn't I?" Xenovia reminded.

"You mean Freed?" Issei asked.

Xenovia nodded. "It's not uncommon for there to be commotion among those who've been banned from the Church. There's a high possibility Valper is involved with what's going on now as well."

Kiba was silent for a moment, before saying, "Then I see no reason not to cooperate with you."

This brought a sense of ease for Drake, Issei, Koneko, and Saji. Xenovia walked up to Drake and handed him a piece of paper. "If something happens, call this number," she said.

"Thanks for the meal, Issei!" Irina exclaimed with a link. "Treat me again next time as well! Even if you are a Devil, God will allow it if it's Issei who treats me to a meal! It's okay if it's food!" And with that, the two of them turned around and were off on their way.

"Well, that went well." Drake commented, pocketing the paper.

"THAT COULD HAVE WENT HORRIBLY!" Saji yelled at him. "Not only could we have gotten killed, but could have also started another war!"

"Issei. Drake." They all looked turned to look at Kiba, who was staring at Issei and Drake.

"Looks like we're going to be helping you out, huh," Issei said with a smile.

"Why did you do this," Kiba asked quietly, surprising him, Drake, Koneko, and Saji. "You shouldn't be getting yourselves involved with my vendetta."

"Because we're comrades and your friends. If you went, you'd be hunted down as a Stray." Drake said as he went up to him and stopped about a foot and a half away. "I don't think I could ever fully understand the pain you went through on that day you escaped, but you must understand the pain that you would cause the rest of us if you went through with going on a rampage."

"And it's not only your group," Saji said, getting the blonde to look at her. "Even Tsubaki's worried about you."

This caught Kiba off guard a little. "She is?"

"Don't you see?" Issei asked. "You've got people outside of the group that care for you. And let's not forget about Rias. She would be devastated."

That statement snuck into Kiba's head, as he mind drifted to that cold, dark night. "President Rias. Of course," he said quietly. "…Of course… I would be dead if not for after day, they put us through inhuman experiments. They had us, mere children, experimented on and had stripped us of our freedom. We weren't even treated as humans and our lives were ignored. But we had a dream. To live on. Forced to believe that we were loved by God, and we were just waiting for 'that day' to come. Believing that one of us would become special. But none of us could wield a holy-sword. The experiment failed…"

Drake then asked, "They then used poisonous gas on those that remained, didn't they?"

Kiba nodded. "I thank Rias from the bottom of my heart for taking me in as part of her house." He continued. "But the truth is that I'm because my comrades scarified their lives for my sake. I want to accomplish my comrades' regrets. No, I don't want to make their deaths be in vain. I need to keep on living in their place, and I have to prove that I am stronger than Excalibur."

Suddenly, Saji was crying aloud. Drake looked at him, as he had so much tears falling out of his eyes, a dripping nose, and was crying so much. "Kiba! I never knew you had such a horribly target past, and I don't care about Sona's punishment anymore!" He then turned towards Issei, grabbed his hands, and looked at him with an expression full of passion. "Issei, count me in! I'll use everything I've got to take down Excalibur!"

"Okay, let's not make this awkward." Drake commented, shaking his head with a quiet sigh.

Kiba then felt something grab his shirt's arm and looked at who it was. He was surprised to see it was Koneko, looking at him with a sad expression. "…I would get lonely…if you disappeared," she said. "…I will help you, Kiba…that's why please don't go."

Kiba stared at her in astonishment. He never seen her like this before. She would also be emotionless, and he couldn't stand seeing her like this. "Hahaha. I give up," He said with a smile. "If Koneko says that to me, then I can't do reckless things. Okay. I will work with you." He then looked at Issei. "Thanks to Issei, I know who my true enemy is. But since we are doing this together, we are definitely going to defeat the Excalibur."

A few days later, Rias and Sona were back in the latter's sauna. Rias told her about what had happened to her Knight, and the black-haired girl took in every bit of it. "Really," she asked in astonishment. "Kiba did?"

Rias nodded with a miserable expression. She didn't know who else to turn to other than Sona. The redhead just needed to speak to another heir. Master-to-Master. "Do you think…did I make a mistake," Rias asked, as their slim bodies sweated.

"He is still part of your House, right?"

"Of course. No matter what he says, there's no way I let Kiba leave me like that. He's just being dramatic."

Sona chuckled a little. "Why am I not surprised? After all. The House of Gremory is famous for the strong bond between its family members, is it not?"

"Yes."

"I believe it's true that his feelings may have gotten the best of him. At least, for the moment, it seems," Sona said. "I have no doubt, he will always be a member of your house." Rias turned her head to look at her in surprise. Sona looked at the ground with a smile. "Kiba will come back to you, Rias. I know it."

Rias stared at her for a moment in wonder, before smiling. Sona has always supportive of her, and vice versa. "Of course," she said. "Thank you Sona."

Just then, two small magic circles appeared before them. From them stood two small holograms that show Akeno and Tsubaki. "Excuse us for the intrusion," said the Gremory Queen.

"Thank you both for all your hard work today," Rias said to them.

"It's getting pretty late, isn't it," Sona asked. "Wants going on?"

Tsubaki answered, "The situation has just gone from bad to worse."

This caught Rias and Sona's attention quickly. "How bad is it?" asked the redhead.
