As one moves forward in life
They must sometimes take a chance
Often around the real or hard issues
They will hedge, dodge and dance
Is the grass really greener
On the hill's other side
Or is it only another way
To retreat, cower and hide
Some things in life we can take
Others we can only borrow
What will provide happiness
What will create more sorrow
At what point is anything enough
That's the decision that is always tough
Things are seldom smooth but rough
Does anyone ever really have the right stuff
We move around all the pieces
Yet it stays pretty much the same
Everything is right in front of us
But always one off in life's shell game
