Chapter 51
"Oh Paul, I can't believe we're finally here," Bella sighed and breathed in the moist tropical air she didn't know she had missed so much. She closed her eyes and listened how the waves crashed to the shore and all the other noises around: buzz of the city, screaming children, music playing on the stereos in the passing cars. It was wonderful to be back, to be able to show Paul everything she loved about Honolulu and Hawaii. She could hardly contain her excitement.
Little B felt it too and started to kick.
"Ouch," she winced.
"What's wrong?" Paul asked.
"Oh, nothing. B is just as excited as I am to be here."
Paul brushed his hand over Bella's bump that had grown quite a bit in last few weeks. After a slow start, her body had started to transform and now she looked like a-29-weeks pregnant should look like. But her tummy was still comfortable size and moving around was easy and effortless, she just got tired sooner that normally.
"Shit baby, I'm fucking happy I really didn't know what this place is like when we had just started dating. I was already terrified that you would never want to stay in La fucking Push. I mean I couldn't understand why you had left Honolulu and come to live in the rainy and cold Washington of all places."
"But you are ever so grateful that I did, hmm?" Bella turned to face Paul and cupped her hands around his face pulling his lips down to hers.
"There isn't a deity in the whole fucking Universe I haven't thanked for your decision to come," Paul murmured and deepened the kiss.
"Hmm, I can't wait to go to the beach hut after the wedding," Bella said. "We can spend all day making love on the beach under the palm trees. There are no other people there than just us two."
"Are you sure we can't skip the wedding?" Paul asked and kissed her neck.
"It's a very tempting idea."
Bella had asked her friend Alicia if it was possible for them to rent their beach hut for three days. Alicia and her family had a beautiful, secluded place in the island of Kauai. It wasn't anything luxurious but very romantic one bedroom hut on a sandy beach with beautiful rock formations. Green turtles were abundant there and dolphins were often spotted as well.
Alicia had once taken her, Ailani and Sarah there for a long weekend and it was a paradise on earth. Alicia had been over the moon that she had asked it for them, and she didn't want them to pay anything. But she had asked if Paul wouldn't mind cooking them when they had their get together with all Bella's friends. It was a party that Alicia had organized. And so, it had been settled: Paul would cook, and they would get their three days in paradise. Get together would be on the day before they would fly out back to Seattle.
"We haven't made love in last 20 hours now," Paul nipped her ear dragging Bella out of her thoughts.
"Now that I've seen the ocean and smelled it, we can go back to our room and make it 0," Bella kissed Paul's jaw.
"Let's go!" Paul said and grabbed Bella's hand and started to walk briskly towards their hotel pulling her with him. Bella could only laugh. Her always-ready husband was just too adorable.
Bella and Paul had arrived to Honolulu three hours earlier. Ailani had picked them up from the airport and left them to a hotel with a promise to see them tomorrow. Bella didn't want them to stay with her mum and Phil. Her relationship with her mother hadn't much improved after Renée had been a bitch to Paul when they'd first told her they were getting married.
Their relationship has never been that one of a mother and daughter. Renée thought herself more as a friend, being too young to be a mother and that what she had tried to be to Bella, a friend. But Bella had needed a mother, and that she'd found in Edena, Bane's mom and later in Paula too, in some ways.
Of course, she loved her mother, but she didn't want her in her life any more than was necessary. And visiting her while they were in Honolulu was necessary but staying with her wasn't.
They had ten days and Bella had made lot of plans for them. She wanted to show Paul all her favorite places, get him to feel the vibe of Honolulu. It was a shame that she couldn't take him dancing to her favorite club. But there were lots of other things to do and to show him.
So, Renée knew they were coming to a wedding but Bella hadn't told her when. Bella would call her later today. She wanted to see her mother as soon as possible to get it over with and concentrate on more positive thigs on their holiday. It was sad really, that it was like this between her and her mother, the bond that was supposed to be one of the strongest between two women was non-existent between them, but it was what it was. No need to wallow in it.
Paul opened the door to the hotel room and pulled her inside.
"I do love you in a dress," Paul murmured into her ear while he was nipping his way down to her neck and his hands were pulling down her panties.
"Oh yeah?" Bella sighed.
"Fuck yeah, the easy access, I love the easy access," Paul said slipping one finger inside of her curling it deliciously making her shiver all over.
"Ah, Paul..."
Bella was leaning against the wall and Paul knelt front of her lifting the hem of the dress over the bulge of her stomach kissing her bump.
"Hello Little B. Daddy is going to make your mommy feel so good over and over and over again."
He kissed the bellybutton and slipped in another finger. He lifted her other leg on his shoulder and kissed the knee.
"Hold on my head."
Bella placed her hands on Paul's head. She scraped her fingers on his scalp. Paul hissed.
He added one more finger and pumped in and out. It felt divine.
"I want you come to my fingers, baby. I love to see your cum in my hand."
And he fucked her with his fingers rubbing her sleek bud making her moan shamelessly. Something the pregnancy had made her to do; she just could not keep quiet like at all. It felt too damn good.
"That's right baby, make some noise. I fucking love when you're loud," Paul panted pumping his fingers and sliding them over her wet folds kissing her hip bone and nipping it with his teeth.
Bella pulled his hair.
"Fuck yeah, baby," Paul moaned and plunged one finger into her second hole, and it did it, she came hard and loud.
"Paul!" she screamed and her knees went soft.
Paul grabbed her so she didn't fall. Her body was still convulsing when Paul lifted her to his arms and carried to the bedroom.
"On your hands and knees, baby." Paul told her with thick voice. Bella loved this dominant side that had come out in these last few weeks. So, she did what he asked, this was going to be so damn good.
Paul didn't waste any time and slammed into her balls deep.
They both moaned loudly and then Paul started to fuck her.
"Baby, fuck …" Paul panted breathing heavily.
Bella started to slam back to him and for a while the whole room was filled with noises of skin slapping against skin, heavy moaning and panting.
Paul lifted her flushed against his chest and it changed the ankle he hit inside her.
"Ah Paul … soooo good," she moaned.
Paul's hands were everywhere, he pinched her clit and made her come while he kept slamming into her.
"That's right baby, come for my cock. Jesus woman, you suck me so good," Paul moaned as her inner walls pulsed around him.
Bella wanted to touch them where they were joined. It was a bit difficult with her bump but she reached the spot and slid her fingers over her folds touching Paul's cock and it was so erotic she came again.
Paul took her hands and lifted them behind his head, keeping them there.
He wrapped his other hand around her neck and pressing lightly he turned her head so he could ravish her mouth, all this time his wonderful cock was hitting her the most delicious way. Her thighs were shaking but she didn't care.
She could feel that Paul was close. She bit his bottom lip and Paul threw his head back shouting her name and exploding inside her.
He took her with him one more time as he pulsed his release inside her.
They collapsed to the bed but carefully, always carefully not hurting Little B.
"Paul I should call my mother. We can go over dinner today or tomorrow, but I don't want spend any more time with her than necessary."
"Okay baby. Make your call, I order us something to eat."
"Tomorrow I'll take you to my favorite restaurant here in Honolulu," Bella said and got up from the bed.
Paul watched his naked pregnant wife walking out of the bedroom. He was feeling abso-fucking-lutely the best he'd been in a long while. They had it good at home, but as he had had to work so long hours lately there had been too little time, he and Bella had been able spend together. And it sucked big time.
But he had had to work more than usually to be able get the days off to come here. And Bella had told him it would be worthwhile. He was starting to see her point. This was fucking amazing. Maybe they should move here. He loved the heat and he loved having sex in this heat. Watching sweat running down Bella's body while they fucked was such a turn on.
Paul heard Bella talking to Renée. He took the in-room menu and glanced at it. Nothing too tempting but he was hungry and so was Bella. He picked up the phone and ordered three chicken club sandwiches with fries and side salad.
"So, we're going there tonight. She tried to make us to sleep there instead of the hotel, but I declined and told her we've booked hotel room for the next four days."
"How did she take it?" Paul asked and motioned her to come back to the bed.
Bella walked to him and sat on the edge of the bed.
"She did what Renée does best, tried to guilt trip me. But I don't fall for that shit anymore. I've got my own family now and don't give a damn, what Renée thinks and feels. If she shows respect towards us tonight, then we might have something to build on."
"We should get our food soon and then we can go and get our rental car. What time?"
"At 7pm. We don't have any time to do any sightseeing today, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes to drive there, even though it is so close. The traffic is always terrible around here."
The food came and they ate it all. It was decent enough but they were also hungry. They'd spent more than three hours making love and hadn't eaten properly apart from some snacks after arriving to Honolulu. Paul scolded himself, sex over food and wife heavily pregnant, not so thoughtful Lahote now was it. But damn it'd been steamy. And Bella looked as relaxed and happy as he felt. So, no harm done. Bella hadn't not once felt any nausea after the terrible sickness had gone away. Of that Paul was grateful.
"You're feeling good baby?"
"I'm euphoric, Paul. You are so good to me, my dear husband. And I'm so happy to be back here. Let's get Renée out of the way so we don't have to think about them for the rest of the holiday."
"Let's go," Paul said and took Bella's hand.
Bella drove since she knew the way. The traffic was as she'd said the worst seen anywhere.
"How can you stand this?" Paul asked. It was fucking crazy. Cars coming from every direction, no one paying any attention to the traffic rules. Or so it seemed.
"It's a matter of right attitude and little bit of meditation, and the knowledge that getting pissed doesn't help you to go any faster," Bella grinned patting his thigh.
"You're awesome baby. I would be flipping my top by now," Paul chuckled.
"I know and that is the reason why I'm doing the driving on this trip. And also that you can admire the views."
"I know what views I'm admiring," Paul said lifting the hem of her dress.
"Stop it Paul," Bella said slapping his and away playfully. "We don't want to get into any accidents now do we."
Paul just laughed and turned to look at the side window. It sure was an amazing looking place.
After 35 minutes they arrived at a driveway to a grand house. Paul whistled.
"You've never told me Phil was loaded."
"It's not important. He is ok guy and seems to love my mom. That's all that matters."
Paul got up from the car and jogged to Bella's door helping her to get out of the car.
"Okay, let's get this over with," Bella sighed. She seemed to be a bit stressed out.
"Are you okay, baby?" Paul asked feeling Bella's anxiety.
"Yeah, I just don't like being here."
Paul wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and they walked to the door.
They rang the doorbell, and it didn't take long the door to open.
"Bella!" Renée shrieked and pulled Bella into a tight hug.
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming today? I would have made us a grand dinner. Phil would've come to pick you up from the airport. And what is this nonsense you're staying in the hotel. We have your old room ready for you two."
Renée chirped not waiting to get any replies. Paul disliked her immediately.
"Mom," Bella mumbled, not being able to speak properly being pressed against her mother's chest.
"Careful," Paul said not wanting their baby to be squashed.
Renée released Bella and looked at him.
"Well hello Paul," Renée said batting her eyelashes, "nice to finally meet you, my dear son-in-law."
"Good evening Mrs. Dwyer," Paul said offering his hand to her.
"Oh Paul, call me Renée," she said purring and grabbed him into a tight hug too. "I'm your mother-in-law now. Gah, it makes me sound old, doesn't it," Renée giggled like a teenager.
Oh fuck, this was going to be a long night. Paul grabbed Bella's hand and squeezed it lightly. He could see the shame in Bella's face. Renée was a shameless flirt, how the fuck she could think it was ok trying to flirt with her daughter's husband it was beyond him.
Phil came to meet them, and he seemed to be decent fellow, pulling his wife under his arm giving two of them space to come in properly.
"Hello Bella, Hello Paul. It's nice to finally meet you," Phil said offering his hand and they both shook it.
So not very paternal towards Bella. That's good. Paul didn't mind that her 27-year-old stepfather wasn't grabbing his wife into an awkward hug. If anything, after Bella had got pregnant, he was even more possessive of her than he'd been when they've just met. He couldn't help it and Bella was okay with it. She had even said she understood and felt it was natural, she was carrying their child, his baby after all. It had brought out a protector in him as well. And he was that fiercely, even more so when he had noticed that it turned Bella on, big time.
They've become very primal in many ways after Bella got out of her sickness and he fucking loved it.
So, he let Bella go reluctantly when Renée wanted to show her around and pulled Bella with her.
Before leaving him and Phil behind, Renée turned around and said, "I was hoping Paul, that you could show me few tricks in the kitchen. I got a chicken and I need help with the sauce."
"Sure," Paul said with a fake smile. He didn't like this not one bit. He'd seen that look before, too many fucking times: a woman who thought she was irresistible but was anything but.
Well Renée would be a beautiful woman if she wore less make up and didn't act like 18-year-old, she was 40 for crying out loud and flirting with her son-in-law.
"So, Paul," Phil started motioning Paul to follow him, "you're a chef am I right?"
"Yep. I've been working in an Italian restaurant in Seattle almost for six months now."
"What is the restaurant called?"
"Altura, it's on the Capitol Hill, fine dining place," Paul told Phil.
"That's pretty impressive to be able to get a place in a fine dining restaurant so soon after graduating," Phil said offering Paul a beer.
Paul took the beer and nodded his thanks. "I guess. They'd heard that I'm a wonder kid or some shit like that," Paul chuckled, "and wanted to give me a shot. The executive chef said when he hired me that he was taking a risk, but life's nothing if not taking risks every once and a while."
"So, it seemed to pay off, eh?" Phil chuckled.
"I guess it did, I'm still working there."
"You like it there?"
"Yep. Don't have lot of experience of working in restaurants yet but I really liked it there. They give me lots of responsibility and trust me. And I learn shit loads every day," Paul told him. He really fucking loved it there. He was so grateful for Matt giving his references and recommending him to his friend.
Paul was getting a bit restless, hoping Bella would come back and then she did. She didn't look very happy.
Paul opened his arms and Bella walked to him.
"Okay?" Paul whispered silently while kissing her temple.
Bella nodded and wrapped her arms around his torso.
"Paul, you need to tell your wife that you two are going to stay here while you're in Honolulu. It's stupid that you're paying to stay at the hotel," Renée said pouting.
Before Paul could open his mouth Bella started to talk.
"Mom, we're staying in the hotel. It's on the beach, I want to be able to go on the beach every morning when I wake up. I want Paul to experience that too. I miss the ocean, the sun, the beaches. We can visit you another time, but I want to spend all time possible near the ocean. Please accept that, mom."
Paul squeezed Bella tighter against his chest. He could feel her heart beating faster.
He tried to calm her by skimming his hand up and down her spine. It made her shiver and she looked up at him mouthing I'm okay. Paul wanted to kiss her, but he didn't.
"Renée, let the poor kids alone. They are here now, let's enjoy the time together. We could all go to our club later on their holiday. That would be nice hmm?" Phil said to his wife who was glaring at her daughter.
Bitch. Bella's mom was a selfish bitch.
"Okay, you win. When you are all against me, what chance do I have? I'm only a poor mother."
Manipulative, selfish bitch.
They talked a bit about the pregnancy and whether they knew if the baby was a boy or a girl. Renée didn't understand why they didn't want to know the gender before the baby was born.
"Think of how much fun it would be to organize a gender reveal party for your friends," Renée said excitedly. "I could fly Seattle for that."
How little did she knew her daughter. Bella would never want to organize pointless parties to her friends.
"We like the idea of a surprise," Bella said not bothering to say anything about Renée's idea about the party. "We have few name options for both genders. It is amazing to think about different names not knowing which one the baby is. And since we don't want the nursery to be stereotypically either pink or blue, there is absolutely no reason for us to need to know. There are lots of neutral cute baby clothes too. Our baby is a child, a baby first and then either a boy or a girl or even maybe something in between.
"What are you talking about," Renée asked disgust lacing her face. "Something between? What does it even mean?"
Good job Renée making sure, Bella doesn't want to have anything to do with you. Paul smirked inside his head.
"Are you telling me, that my grandchild can't be a girl or a boy?" Renée continued.
"Of course not, mom. Our child grows up to be what he or she wants to be. Girly girl or as boyish there is or anything between. We just don't want to assume anything, when the baby grows, she or he tells us what she likes or doesn't like."
Renée looked like she had swallowed a lemon.
"Well that just doesn't make any sense, Bella," she said.
Paul had to suppress a laugh. This was hilarious. When they had talked about these things to Charlie and Paula they had been excited about their thoughts. Charlie maybe had been grunting like they knew he would, but soon he could see their point and was as excited as they were. Paula was amazing in every way.
He was so fucking proud of Bella showing her mother her place in this. She had no right to meddle.
"Look how cute the nursery is with marine theme," Bella said taking her phone and showing Renée and Phil a photo of their newly painted and decorated room.
"It is nice," Renée agreed.
"And either a boy or a girl can be happy there, right, mom."
Renée smiled and nodded.
"I always hated when you made me wear dresses and pink clothes. I hated pink, but you never listened to me. I think that is a part of the reason I don't want wear any dresses when I grew up."
"Okay, honey, I got your point. No need to get over dramatic," she brushed off everything Bella had said and was about to say something, but Bella interrupted her, "before you ask, no, we're not telling the names we are thinking about. Only we know about them."
That silenced the bitch.
"So, Bella, how are your studies going?" Phil asked changing the subject.
"I've put them on a rest for the time being. I was so sick for the first months I wasn't able to do anything, so I decided to go back after the baby is born."
"Are you sure you want to go back to the university Bella?" Renée asked and was digging her grave if she didn't shut up right about now. Before she could continue though Philip interrupted her, "Are you sure the chicken isn't going to get burned?" Phil asked and Paul thanked him in his mind. Renée really was a piece of work.
"Oh, right, yes Phil, you might be right. Paul, would you mind and come to help me to finish the dinner?" Renée asked as she got up from the couch.
"Sure," he replied like there was anything else he could say.
He hated to leave Bella alone with Phil, but it was more an instinctual feeling than an actual worry. Bella had told him she liked Phil, more than she liked her mother. And if he was being honest, he was more worried about himself being alone with Renée. He'd seen all the signs he'd seen many times before. She was a handsy cougar if there ever was one. He hoped he was wrong about her or that she could contain herself around him.
They went to the kitchen, and he was impressed by it.
"Nice kitchen you have here, Renée," he said.
"Thank you, it was my hope to get all set up like in the professional kitchen."
That was quite hilarious when the woman could hardly boil water, if everything what Bella had told him was true.
"So, I have roasted chicken in the oven and rice is cooking in the cooker. Now, I wasn't sure what kind of sauce would go well with the chicken. I made it using this recipe," Renée said and gave him a cookbook.
"Carlic herb butter roast chicken," Paul read out loud.
"You'll get excellent gravy from the meat juice. Where is your pantry?"
"It's here," Renée said and opened the door to a little room. Paul went in and felt Renée right behind him.
"What it is that you are looking for, I could help?" she asked and was getting far too close for his comfort.
"Some cornstarch," he said not hiding annoyance in his voice.
"Let me," Renée said and came even closer pressing her breasts against his side taking the yellow package from the shelf that was just right in front of him.
This was fucking uncomfortable. He wanted to think that he was over-reacting and just imagining things.
"Here you go," Renée said and gave him the package.
Paul took it without thanks. This was just what he had been afraid of. What a bitch this woman was.
He turned to take a pot from the railing and started to melt some butter.
Renée took the chicken out of the oven and Paul went to see how much juice there was.
Renée touched his arm and Paul had had enough.
"Take your hands off me Mrs. Dwyer if you want us to stay for the dinner," Paul spat, and Renée jerked her hand off like it was electrocuted.
"I've seen enough likes of you, sugar mamas wanting to get into my pants."
"Now young man, you are imagining things..." Renëe started.
"Well, I fucking would want to hope so. Let me get this finished and go spend time with your daughter. Come here after 15 minutes and we can take the food out then. Leave me the fuck alone."
Shocked Renée left the kitchen.
"Fuck," Paul spat. Bella didn't deserve mother like that. He dreaded the moment he had to tell Bella about this shit. But he had to tell her, of course he had to even if it would make Bella to hate her mother.
They would stay for the dinner, if not for any other reason, but Phil was decent fellow and Bella liked him.
He got the sauce ready, and he went to tell they could start the dinner. Phil and Renée came to help and soon they were all sitting down to eat. The food was surprisingly good, but he couldn't enjoy it. He just wanted the dinner to be over so they could leave. Renée avoided looking at him, and if Phil hadn't been cracking good jokes and not being such a great host, Bella would probably have noticed that something was a bit off. Luckily, she didn't. She really seemed to like spending time with Phil.
Renée didn't say anything more about them staying with them and no plans about getting together another time was made. Paul had a hunch Phil had guessed what had happened. He had to know what his wife was a like. It was damn shame; Phil was a good guy.
"Finally, we could get out. It was far worse than I thought it would be," Bella sighed. "I really don't think I want to spend any more time with my mom on this trip."
"Don't worry baby, you don't have to. We won't," Paul said.
And he told Bella what had happened in the kitchen.
