I think I'm going to take a small break from writing my stories, I'm starting to get writers' block again after writing so many chapters so fast. Don't worry, I'll still keep these stories of mine going, I'm just going to be taking a tiny break.
Onto the reviews
ThunderClaw03 chapter 6. Mar 4
Great job keep it up. Death to Terrible magical world of fashion sense.
Me: They'll have to take baby steps when it comes to the wizarding world's sense of fashion. But yes, death to their terrible fashion sense!
A Guest chapter 6 . Mar 5
Well, I've been thinking, wouldn't Ember be a bit shocked after killing two humans? Or perhaps that gets explained by her partly-gem nature?
Let's hope this doesn't build up like future Steven.
Me: Yeah, she's gonna talk to a therapist about what happened in this chapter. Don't worry she's seeking help for any trauma way before it has a chance to build up like it did for Steven.
Okay, that's all, onto the story!
Ember walked into Gringotts and was sent to another office to wait for her appointment. Normally people came to Gringotts for banking needs, mostly withdrawing money but Ember had had the Goblins set up an appointment with a therapist for her.
Ember knew that this was something she needed to do. If she didn't need it to help her get over the problems her childhood had caused then she definitely needed it for killing two men for attacking Pearl. Ember had asked the goblins to arrange the appointment for her.
She knew that the Goblins would get a trustworthy therapist, they would also make sure that the therapist would take a magical oath on their life and magic that they wouldn't talk about anything Ember told her without Ember's permission.
Ember was also doing this because she knew Pearl needed to talk to someone about what happened too. Ember was just doing it first so she could be sure that the therapist would be good for Pearl to talk to. She didn't doubt the Goblins but sometimes you wanted to check things out yourself.
The appointment was set up to last an hour at most and half an hour at the least.
When Ember finished the appointment she made sure to set up another one, one for her and another for Pearl. She made the therapist give another magical oath that she wouldn't talk about things Pearl told her to anything but Pearl or Ember.
Ember wouldn't ask the therapist to tell her anything unless it was serious. Walking out of the Bank she walked over to the building that was being set up for her new shop. It was almost done all that was left to do was some stocking and hiring. She decided to employ some muggle-borns to tend the store.
Ember had also hired several werewolves for security. They were much stronger than a normal witch or wizard and they needed the work. She would be doing the exact same thing when the building in Hogsmead was finally finished. It was taking a bit longer than expected.
That was because Dumbledore was trying to argue against the Goblins building anything on the plot of land that Ember had bought. There was nothing he could do and only recently had he stopped arguing, giving everyone involved his grandfatherly disappointed look.
As if that was going to work on Goblins. Ember didn't even get why he tried that in the first place. Hell, she didn't know why he was so against having a new shop built in Hogsmeade, her shop would attract attention to the small town, and hopefully, more people would come and shop there since it would have a few things there that the store here wouldn't have.
This meant that more people would shop around the town which would help the stores there get more customers that weren't students that only visited once or twice a month.
Ember had a feeling that he was against it because it was new and would introduce new things to the students and the wizarding world. A new store hadn't been opened since the Potters were toddlers. It might have even been before the Potters were even born that a new store had been opened in the wizarding world!
Shaking her head she walked into the building she had hired the Goblins to ward with the best wards they could legally put on a store. Most stores didn't realize that they could have all of those wards up on their stores. Though to be fair not a lot of them would be able to afford the cost for all those wards anyways.
Ember not only had a good relationship with the goblins she also had a couple of vaults full of gallons that she was willing to spend on her shop's security.
Ember's good relationship with the Goblins was the only reason she knew about all the wards. When she mentioned needing to hire them to ward her shops they gave her a list of all the wards they could legally put on hr buildings. They also put the cost for each ward right next to the ward's name.
Looking around the inside of the Building she smiled in pride. She had decided to decorate the place like the muggles did. There were rows all over the place but unlike most shops in the magical world, her rows didn't go all the way to the ceiling. They went halfway to the ceiling with a sign hanging about different sections telling people where different items were.
She had even added a small section for children's toys. She made sure they were entertaining while also educational. It wasn't a large section but it had several board games for teens along with several plushies and toys that taught toddlers their 123s and ABCs.
Ember thought that parents would like the toys that taught their children different things so the parents would have more free time to do other things.
Ember also managed to get several movies to sell in the wizarding world. It was time to introduce the magicals to the 20th century because otherwise they would be discovered much sooner than they would like.
Magicals might hate to admit it but muggles outnumbered them 1 to 100, if there was a full-on magical vs muggle war then it was highly likely that the muggles would win. Muggles had guns, tanks, grenades, rocket launchers, and not to mention the freaking nuclear nukes.
So yeah, Ember wanted to get the magicals up to speed as fast as she could to keep them from being wiped out.
Ember double-checked the stock of items in the basement, the basement was where she had decided to keep the storerooms. There was a decent bit of stock for every item but Ember knew that if her store took off she would need to keep up a steady stream of those items. Luckily the house-elves that she had were able to help her make everything fast.
When she finished double and triple-checking everything she left the building and ignored the people looking at the building and her in curiosity. She knew that they were all curious about what the new building was going to be selling, they were also curious about who she was and why she was able to enter the building so easily.
Shaking her head she had Bippy come pop her back home before she went to go check on Pearl. Pearl had got a bit better at being away from Ember for short periods of time but she still got anxious when she was away from her for too long.
Ember walked through her trunk to Pearl's room and peaked in, smiling at what she saw. Pearl was curled up on a chair while sketching in the Sketchbook that Ember had bought her not long ago. Pearl had got Ember's love of art which was something that pleased her.
Already Pearl had designed several outfits for the special section of Ember's second store. Pearl made sure that they were tasteful and wouldn't be too much too soon for the wizarding world's tastes. Ember and Pearl both knew that they had to go slower with fashion than anything else.
The wizarding world would most likely be fine with the other things in her stores because they will make people's lives easier but it would take a lot of time to get their fashion senses up to the 20th century. It was annoying to both Ember and Pearl but since they wouldn't rush things, they didn't want to risk people deciding to not buy clothes from their store and instead keep using the same unfashionable robes.
Ember walked into the room causing Pearl to look up and relax when seeing Ember.
"Hey Pearl, how are you holding up?"
"I'm feeling well my Daimond, how was your appointment?"
Ember shook her head fondly, by now she figured out that it was a lost cost to try and convince Pearl to call her anything other than her Diamond.
"It went well, I set up another appointment for me along with setting one up for you."
"For me?" Pearl looked surprised and confused.
"Yes, for you. We both know that you need to talk to someone about what happened when we went out. I can listen but I don't know how to help you the way the therapist you'll be talking to will."
Pearl looked hesitant before nodding. "You're right my Daimond. This might be good for me."
"There's just one thing you need to do when talking to the therapist or anyone else that we don't trust."
Pearl tilted her head confused so Ember continued. "Humans don't have Diamonds, if you talk about me to someone else, not in the know please refer to me as Ember. If the magicals find out about what you and I are they will have us shipped down to the department of mysteries to be experimented on."
Pearl gasped and suddenly realized why her Diamond had been trying so hard to convince her not to call her that when Pearl had first been created. Pearl vowed to do as her Diamond said, she would never put her Diamond in harm's way if she could help it.
"I'm sorry my Diamond, I had no clue that could have happened to us. I promise to do my best to remember not to call you My Diamond in front of other humans."
"It's okay Pearl. like you said you didn't know. I just needed to be sure that you understood how serious this was before anything did happen."
Ember gave Pearl a small smile before heading back to her own room for bed since it was late.
The next day Ember went back to the bank to talk to Grinlast about kicking the Potter family out of her manor. She waited for around 15 minutes before she was escorted to Grinlast's office.
She waited until Grinlast told her to come in before she walked in and sat down in a chair when it was offered to her.
"Grinlast, as you are aware the Peverell manor is currently being used as the Potter manor. This is unacceptable, I wish to evict those erchines as soon as posible. How might I go about doing this?"
Grinlast hummed before grabbing a book, he opened it to the middle of it and read. "Lady Ember, all you need to do is raise you wand or hand while pushing a bit of magic into it and say, 'I, Lady Ember Viola Potter Peverell Ravenclaw Slytherin Emrys, do hearby declare that I close all my properties except for Slytherin Manor where I am living at this moment in time."
"This will close every property you own besides the one you are living in. Do not worry, it will not close any stores you own unless you specifically ask for them to be closed off."
Ember smirked. "And what will happen to those that are living in my properties or are even just visiting?"
Grinlast gave a dangerous-looking smirk back. "They will be edjected from the properties, depending on what they are there for it will either be painless or painful."
Nodding Ember asked another thing. "And how do I disown the Potters from my families?"
"It's the same as with closing your properties. You raise your hand and say. 'I, Lady Ember Viola Potter Peverell Ravenclaw Slytherin Emrys, do hearby disown James Charles Potter from the Peverell family.' and it will be done. Of course, you will need to repeat it for each family member you wish to disown."
Ember stood up, "Thank you for your time Grinlast, may your sword drip with the blood of your enimes."
Grinlast nodded in farewell. "And may the gold of your enimes fill your vaults and help you prosper."
Ember went to walk away before turning back to Grinlast with one last question. "What will happen to the Potters when they are Disowned?"
"They will lose access to family magics and any family items that originally belonged to the family they are disowned from. They will also lose the physical traits from those families to show that they are no longer welcome by that family."
Ember smirked. "Perfect." leaving the office she walked to the floo entrance and used it to return home. She would disown the Potters tomorrow.
She would also evict them tomorrow as well. Let them enjoy one last night in HER manor. After today they will never step another foot on any of her properties.
So tell me what you think in a review, you just might see the answer to your questions in the next chapter!
