Hey everyone it's been a while hasn't it? Sorry about that. I'm also sorry that the next chapter might be a bit delayed, a few keys on my keyboard haven't been working, the One especially which means I can't use '!' (I copied this in) when a character is excited or shocked. I also can't use esc or tab though those don't affect my writing.
Anyways onto reviews.
KittenKatt1 chapter 20 . Apr 13
I hope that your Beta gets better! Thank you for a wonderful story and all of the hard work that you've put into it!
Me: Thank you, I hope she feels better soon but sadly her battle is still ongoing. She still doesn't feel good.

I can't wait to see what happens to Snape, and good to hear your Beta is feeling better
Me: Snape will get what's coming to him no worries.
Onto the story
A few days had passed since Ember had sent out the letters for Pearl and Jasper. Things seemed to be normal and She was starting to get used to all the kids around her. She had also started studying in the Room of Requirements with Daphne and Tracy. Today was Saturday though and she had explained to her two friends that she needed to do some work regarding her ladyship during the weekends.
Luckily the two girls understood, they might not be ladies themselves currently but one day they would be; Daphne would be Lady Greengrass of the Noble and Ancient House of Greengrass while Tracy would be Lady Davis of the Noble House of Davis.
Tracy's family wasn't as old as Ember's or even Daphne's so she didn't have the ancient title yet. Daphne's family wasn't even as old as Ember's so they didn't have the title of 'Most Noble and Most Ancient' like she did. She never used it but she knew it was there and what it meant.
She went to the R.O.R. and asked for a room that she could use for paperwork but also had a place she could use for training her magic and gem powers later after she was finished. The room that she got was beautiful, it was split into two different rooms with a door separating them.
The office had plush brown carpet with nice pale green walls with white trimming on the tops and bottoms. There were several dark oak bookcases all around filled with different books. The room had a simple brick fireplace with a fire already burning away inside, keeping the room a nice warm temperature. There were a few white couches in one corner with a side table at the edge. A candle was set on the side table, it had a golden candle holder with a few intricate designs on it.
In the middle of the room, there was a big dark oak desk that looked polished and newly made. It had a place for her to set her quill after she finished writing. There was a big comfortable chair pushed up against the desk, the chair was a nice dark green with Dark oak leggings, bottom and back to hold the cushions in place.
She glanced at the dark oak door that led to the training area and wondered what that would like look before deciding to check it out later. She wanted to get her work done before getting sidetracked.
Sitting down in the chair she was surprised at how comfortable it was, it was almost as comfortable as the chair she kept in the library back home. That chair was her favorite to curl up in with a good book. Ember lost track of how many times Pearl or Jasper had to come to wake her up because she fell asleep in that thing.
Ember spent the next few hours doing paperwork for her ladyships, shops, and assets. She made sure to read everything very carefully, you never knew what could be in the fine print.
She was startled when Tilly popped in with a letter from Grinlast. She didn't see the small elf much but she was always happy when she did; the elf had helped raise her when her parents were too busy with her precious brother. The only reason that Tilly was able to work for her now was that the Potters had been disowned and Tilly was transferred to Ember's employment. Taking the letter she thanked Tilly for bringing it to her before she opened it.
Dear Princess Ember,
I'm writing to inform you that James Potter, along with Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore, and Molly Weasley tried setting up a marriage contract between you and one Mister Ronald Weasley. Luckily, because you are seen as an adult in the eyes of the law, and the fact that James Potter is not the Head of your house and had been disowned, the contract did not take.
If you are told you are to marry Mr. Weasley, please be aware that it is a lie: the contract they wrote is not legally binding. Luckily, they had not created a contract between Mr. Weasley and Mr. Potter, your brother.
If you are told you must marry him or lose your magic, it is once again a lie, they tried to make that a part of the conditions but since the contract they wrote is illegal, to you it will not work.
May your enemies' gold fill your vaults,
Grinlast
The account manager of the Peverell Vaults.
The account manager of the Slytherin Vaults.
The account manager of the Ravenclaw Vaults
The account manager of the Ermys Vaults.
Ember frowned and set the letter down as she stared at it in thought. She couldn't believe that her parents had tried this. She paused at that thought before carefully rereading the letter. Lily hadn't been involved in the marriage contract, it was only James and her Godfather.
Why hadn't her mother been involved? Ember would have thought that she would have jumped at the chance to try and get her hands on the Ravenclaw family library. Now that Ember thought back to her time with the Potters, something she normally tried not to do outside of her therapy seasons, Lily never hurt her as James did.
She always stared at her with what Ember now suspected were sad eyes like she wanted to be a mother to her but wasn't able to. But if that was the case then why did she give Ember those suppression potions to suppress her power?
She needed to figure out what was going on, sadly she couldn't leave the school until the Christmas holidays unless it was for important house business. Ember did not think that this would count as that though. Sighing she picked her quill back up and finished the last of her paperwork before writing a note back to Grinlast, thanking him for the warning.
She leaned back in the chair to stare at the ceiling in thought. She would have to wait a few months for Christmas but when the holidays start she would send Lily a letter asking her to meet her at Gringgot's to talk. She would send the letter by house elf and have them keep an eye on her until she left for the meeting just in case she told her husband or the headmaster.
After a few more moments of planning Ember stood up and walked to the other room and paused at the sight. The room looked like a modern room. The floor was made of white tiles and the walls of gray tiles. There were training dummies along one wall, each had a slightly different body shape Ember noted.
That would be useful, it was useless to fight the same style of dummies over and over again because then you would get used to their size. That could get you killed in a real fight, instead fighting with different-sized dummies let you get used to fighting people with different body sizes and heights.
Ember took a deep breath before letting it out to help calm her nerves. She was finally going to try and train her gem abilities. The first ability she was going to work with was bubbling. That sounded the easiest out of all her abilities so it would be a good starting point.
She wanted to see if she could do more than just bubble objects too but that was something she would test at a later date. She silently wondered if she should have Pearl or Jasper here before deciding that she would be fine. They were both busy and Ember was in school, if anything happened she could call Bibby or Tilly to take her to Gringotts for a quick healing.
Ember asked the room for small things she could test bubbling on and a pile of old things appeared in the corner of the room. Several of the items looked pretty old but a lot of the things in the pile were broken or cracked which made them perfect for practicing on.
She grabbed a white with gold accents tea cup, it looked pretty old and looked like it was worth a lot. That is if it wasn't for the cracks and chips all over it. If her training didn't destroy it, she would look into fixing it up, maybe she could sell old antiques to the muggle world after fixing them up but that was thoughts for another day.
She put the teacup on the floor before sitting down in front of it. Closing her eyes she pictured what she wanted to do in her mind clearly. She pictured the teacup in front of her, she pictured tapping it with her fingers and a pink clear bubble surrounding it.
Opening her eyes she stared at the teacup before doing as she pictured. She sighed when a bubble didn't pop around the teacup as she had hopped but she wasn't discouraged. It wouldn't be a challenge if she got everything right the first time.
She spent an hour trying to get a bubble to surround the teacup before she had a thought that made her feel like bashing her head into the tiled floors. This entire time she had been treating this like she did her magic, she was probably trying to use her magic subconsciously to do it too. She had to focus on her gem the first few times she did a bubbling or else she might keep trying to reach for her magic instead.
Ember leaned back and closed her eyes once again and focused on her gem sitting in the middle of her chest. She reached up and put a hand on it and smiled softly at the warm hum that she felt. She focused on that hum, the way it felt before she opened her eyes and tapped the teacup. All the while focusing on the warm hum she felt from her gem.
She laughed when a pink bubble popped into existence around the teacup and floated up a few feet off the ground. She jumped up and grabbed the bubble in her hands, her eyes sparkling at her success. Ember spent the rest of the day bubbling different objects in the room. She made sure to practice with different sizes and shapes and didn't just focus on the teacup.
She left the room half an hour before curfew with a huge smile on her face. The smile fell when she entered the common room and was told that Professor Flitwick was looking for her.
Ember silently wondered what she had done for her head of house to look for her all day. A prefect went to go let him know that Ember had been found and it only took fifteen minutes for him to show up.
"Miss Ravenclaw, where have you been? I have been looking for you for hours, You've missed lunch and supper." The tiny professor sounded worried and it made Ember feel a bit guilty for worrying the small man.
"I'm sorry for worrying you sir, I was in an abandoned classroom working on paperwork for my ladyship. I know I have homework and friends I don't want to neglect so I've decided to take my Saturdays and use them for my paperwork." Ember told Professor Flitwick with a blush.
"I should have notified you of my plans so you did not worry in case you came looking for me. If you need to get ahold of me from now on you can call for Bibby or Tilly, two of my house elves, and they can come alert me that you need me."
Ember didn't realize it but the Professor was relieved at the explanation given. He had forgotten that Ember Ravenclaw was actually Lady Ravenclaw and therefore would need to fill out paperwork regarding her house and businesses. It makes sense that she would take a day out of the week to do so.
"Thank you for letting me know, I will be sure to remember this for the future Miss Ravenclaw. The reason I have been looking for you is the Headmaster wishes to meet with you. Since it is so late, we can go up to his office tomorrow after breakfast. Please do be sure to get plenty of sleep." Flitwick replied, becoming confused at why she would be called up to the Headmaster's office when Ember sighed and rubbed her forehead.
"Sir, I have a feeling I already know what this meeting will be about. Thank you for letting me know, once again, I'm sorry to worry you." Ember went to go talk to Daphne and Tracy for a bit before going up to bed. She was both dreading and looking forward to the meeting tomorrow.
