Hey everyone, this chapter is a bit longer than normal but that's because this is Adriane explaining her history and her first year to Clark and Lois. If you want you, can skip this chapter but the next few chapters will be the same thing but with her other school years. I just got my wisdom teeth removed so I've been working on this chapter for the last few days.
I have a youtube channel named "Shadow Plays" and it's mostly sims cas videos at the moment but I did play Undertale and have a Sims 4 Rag to riches challenge going if anyone wants to go check that out.
Well, shameless self-advertising aside, time to get into reviews!
Lady Rosa Marinette Hufflepuff chapter 20. Dec 17, 2021
okay I'm a little surprised are you answered my comment but thank you for telling me, also are you going to make Sirius Black and Remus Lupin and some of the order of the phoenix people who are going to be on Adriane side, or are you going to make like the like they did in the movie that Cedric Diggory going to die in the third task in the tournament in her fourth year or you going to do something different so you thought of to make the story more interesting
Me: I'm not exactly sure at the moment, I don't think I'll have Cedric die but other than that I'm not sure of at this moment. And your comment I answered was a good question and I always try to choose reviews with good questions that I'm sure would help clear up things for all my readers.
I'm not sure what to do with Sirius and Remus yet, I've read stories where they stay on Harry's side but I've also read ones where they're part of the betrayal. I'm still choosing at the moment, I might make it a vote if I can't decide.
ThunderClaw03 chapter 21 . Dec 17, 2021
Great job keep it up. Adriane got her friends the perfect gifts for them and knew they would enjoy it very much. I imagine Lois will love the gift she got her, a pen that shows when someone lie's to her during interviews perfect for a reporter. I imagine Superman will love his gift as well. I imagine Superman would introduce Adriane to Wonder Woman as someone she could learn from and fight without hurting her. I hope Superman doesn't get too upset when everything is revealed to him. I imagine if Lois is there she's going to cry from some of the BS and abuse she's endured.
I hope when Bruce finds out about everything Adriane went through and convinces her to file charges against the Dursley, Large Marge included. He'll probably want her to move in with him. Update when you can.
M: I'm glad you agree that she got them good gifts. Superman might do that or it might be Batman who introduces them. There's still a lot of the story left for Adriane to tell them so yeah Lois might cry and Superman will probably be very upset.
Adriane will be pressing charges without Bruce needing to convince her, she's just waiting until Summer so she's far away from Dumbledor when he catches wind of the charges and realizes she's slipped the leash he's had her on.
ArashiNokitsune chapter 20. Dec 17, 2021
nice although I think her friends will wonder how she got those gifts in the first place... probably
Me: I don't think so, they're aware that she snuck away and probably had time to do some proper Christmas shopping this year. She still needs to do some shopping for a few other people as well but that will be done in a later chapter.
On with the story!
Adriane was waiting in the lobby around noon the next day, waiting for Lois Lane. Lois had sent somebody over to let her know that she would be around at this time to bring her to Superman. Adriane couldn't wait to meet him. She had looked him up but, all the photographs she had found were blurry. This meant that she hadn't a clue what he looked like in person.
Adriane lit up when she spotted Lois strolling in and watched as she looked around before seeing her. Lois nodded to her and walked over. "Good afternoon Adriane, are you prepared to go?" Lois asked with a grin.
Adriane nodded with a smile, "You bet I am! Let's go please." Adriane was bouncing slightly and was clearly forcing herself to stay on the ground, which caused Lois to giggle amused. "Alright, follow me."
Lois led Adriane to her apartment, clarifying that it would be safer than other places. As soon as they walked in Lois ushered her into the living room and told her to wait a couple of minutes before she left the room. Lois came back a few minutes later with a tall man that Adriane knew right away was superman. Adriane also thought he looked like someone else and as soon as she realized who he looked like she gasped. "Bruce Wayne?"
Superman paused before snorting, "No-No I'm not Bruce Wayne, got to say that's the first time someone mistook me for him while in the suit."
Lois was laughing in her hand, she was so glad she had cameras in her apartment, she couldn't wait to show Bruce this. He would be so put out that someone mistook superman for him.
He was always complaining that the way Clark hid who he was outside the mask was stupid and that anyone with a brain would figure it out. Lois did agree that just wearing glasses to hide your identity was kind of dumb. Especially since he sometimes wrote articles on Superman, that meant that his picture would be in the paper very close to a picture of superman.
Lois was honestly a bit surprised that more people didn't realize who Clark was. She was also embarrassed that she had never realized it despite having plenty of interactions with him, both in and out of the suit.
Not to mention, she had dated superman before she ever even thought of getting with Clark. It made things a little awkward when she finally learned who Clark was.
"Sorry, you just look a lot like him." Adriane blushed embarrassed, she should have realized it wasn't Bruce. Thanks to her inheritance test she got back when this all happened she knew that Bruce was human and not a Kryptonian like superman was.
Superman just chuckled at her apology, "No need, it's fine I do look a bit like Bruce." Adriane made a mental note that Superman didn't call Bruce, Mr. Wayne, Bruce Wayne, or even just Wayne. He used only his first name. Adriane didn't know much about how people were in the USA but in the UK where she was from, people mostly used your last name if you weren't friendly with the person.
"Now, Lois tells me that you wanted to speak to me?"
Adriane nodded, "Yes sir, I have some important things to tell you but I'm guessing you would like to have my blood tested before we do anything else?"
Lois spoke up after Adriane was done speaking, "How about we listen to what you have to say and then take your blood?"
Adriane shrugged, "That works."
Lois gestured to the couch, "How about we all sit down, I have a feeling that this story will be quiet the tale."
Adriane just laughed at that, the laugh was slightly bitter which was something both adults noticed, "Oh, it is a very long tale."
After they all sat down and Lois got them all a cup of water Adriane started her tale.
"Please don't interupt me, you can ask me questions when I'm finished but this is going to be hard enough talking about it without interuptions." Adriane was staring at the ground so she didn't see the concerned looks passed between the two adults sitting on the couch with her.
"I was born on the planet Krypton, My birth mom was named Shara On, I don't know anything about her but I'm positive that she's the reason why I was able to escape the planet before it blew up. My birth name was Dive on if you were curious." Adriane sighed before continuing. "My birth dad was from the planet vegetta, the people there were a warror race that loved taking over other planets and selling them to the highest bidder."
Lois gasped softly when hearing that but stayed quiet, she put a hand on Clark's Knee to keep him from speaking.
"They were working for an evil tyrant named Freeza. Freeza was scared of the Saiyans because of a legend that if a Saiyan got strong enough to could basically escend and become a powerhouse named Super Saiyan. It's said that when a Saiyan reaches that point, there power can double or even triple in size."
Clark couldn't believe what he was hearing, how did Adriane know any of this if she had been sent away? Maybe her birth mom send along a hologram for her to learn from as his birth dad did?
"As I said before, Freeza became scared of the Saiyan's and what they could possibly do to him one day." Adriane paused here and seemed to collect herself before she continued. "One day, he decided to get rid of most of the Saiyan's, He stood at the top of his space ship and launched up a ki-blast at the planet, it was big enough to incinerate the entire planet and everyone on it. . . Including my father."
Clark was horrified, how did they not know about this person if he was able to destroy entire planets with just one blast?
"Only a few Saiyan's are left, The prince, his um right hand I guess, the prince's younger brother who had been sent to another planet long before Freeza blew up his. There's a couple more, one named Radditz and his little brother. Kakarot, although his name was changed when he was a child." Adriane shook her head to clear it a little. "I'll explain more about that later. I was sent to earth but the pod my mom had put me in got off course for several years, when I finally arrived on earth I was found by my adoptive parents."
Adriane smiled sadly at this part, she was still staring at the ground.
"Their names were James and Lily Potter, they were magical. I mean that literally. My adoptive parents were a witch and wizard, they had a way to adopt me that made me their full-blooded child. They Blood adopted me so now I'm part Human, part witch, part Kryptonian, and part Saiyan.
I'm able to do all the things a Kryptonian and Saiyan can but I also have magic and am part human. They decided to give me a new name, they named me Rose Dive Potter, I'll explain why I go by Adriane now later"
Clark and Lois were staring at Adriane in shock, they were silently thanking the fact that it seemed like Adriane was a good girl.
"For a short, while everything was happy but soon enough things changed, my adoptive parents were part of a small civil war that was going on in the UK, it was a war between magicals which is why muggles-People without magic, Didn't know about it. The leader of the dark side was after my family for some reason so we went into hiding, we used a charm called the fidelius charm. It's a charm that hides the place from everyone and only the secret keeper can let others know where it is."
Clark was interested in that charm and he knew Bruce would be too. Even if he hated magic he would still be interested in something like this.
"My parents had their house put under the charm and they chose one of their friends as the secret keeper, only they chose the wrong friend" Adriane accidentally turned her eyes a blazing red at this part. It was a shock to Clark and Lois when they noticed.
"They chose a man named Peter Petergrew as their secret keeper. They reason they chose him is because of a few things. One, they thought that their friend Remus Lupin might have been a traitor for some reason and their other friend Sirius Black would be the obvious choice. Sirius was best friends with my dad and people would expect them to make Sirius the secret keeper so instead they chose Peter."
Adriane closed her eyes and clenched her hands.
"He was a traitor, as soon as he could he went to his master and sold out my parents! Voldemort came to their house on Halloween and blew open the door. My dad tried to fight him off, to give mom and me time to escape but it didn't work. Dad didn't have his wand on him at the time so all he could do was try to attack Voldemort with his fists. Voldemort used the killing curse on him." Adriane was shaking hard, she had never talked about what happened that night before.
"My mom had managed to run upstairs to my nursery and barricaded the door. There was no way out and she knew it, I-I remember her telling me that her and dad loved me so much before the door burst open and Voldemort was there telling her to stand aside." Adriane sobbed softly and shook Lois's hand off her shoulder. Lois had placed it there to try and comfort Adriane.
"He was after me for some reason, my parents had managed to keep my special heritage a secret so that wasn't why he wanted me dead. He gave my mom the choice to step aside three times and each time she refused, 'Not Rose, take me instead, please not Rose.' Soon enough Voldemort got annoyed and killed her too, another killing curse. Then he turned his wand on me and shot the same curse at me, it hit my forehead but didn't kill me, it bounced off me and was sent back at Voldemort and hit him."
Adriane sighed and slumped down. "The curse worked but it also didn't, you see Voldemort is an evil son of a bitch and decided that he would never die, he split his soul into pieces and put those pieces into different objects, so when he was hit with the killing curse his body turned to dust and his soul, what was left anyways, flew out of the body and out of the house."
Adriane stopped talking to take a sip of her water since her throat was starting to hurt. She didn't think it would be this hard to talk about what happened but she had been holding back tears most of the time she had been talking. Adriane didn't want to use her occlumency because she knew that she needed to get this off her chest. After all, it wasn't healthy to hold all these emotions back.
"After that things started going downhill, turns out the so-called 'Leader of the light' that my parents fought for is actually a manipulative old man that wants control of everything and everyone. He used a spell on me to force me into the body of a boy and renamed me, Harry James Potter. He then left me on the doorstep of my moms sisters house. It was the middle of the night, the middle of a November night, the day after my parents were murdered."
Clark gripped the arm of the couch so hard it broke a bit, luckily he snatched his hand away before it broke completely.
"My aunt hated mom, she hated that mom was magical and she wasn't. Hated that mom was smart and pretty, while she was average grades and looked more like a giraffe than a human. She hated that Mom managed to marry a handsome rich man while she was stuck with a human walrus that only managed to get a job because her sister took pity on them. My mom owned both the compony that my uncle works at and their house and was letting them stay there for only one pound a month."
Lois wanted to have a word with Adriane's aunt to tell her that she should have been thankful that her sister cared for her that much.
"My aunt and uncle hated me for who my parents were and the fact I was and am magical. They made me sleep in the cupboard under the stairs for the next 10 years of my life. I was forced to do all the chores around the house, all the cleaning, cooking, repairs, gardening, all of it. I was supposed to do all of that everyday and if I wasn't done by the time my Uncle got home I didn't get anything to eat."
Adriane snorted. "Not that they ever really fed me, I was only allowed to eat what was leftover from when they were done eating the food that I cooked, my cousin liked to make sure there was nothing left so I wouldn't be able to eat. Luckily I figured out how to pick locks early on so I could sneak to the kitchen and get some food, they always assumed the missing food was from their son and that I was too scared of them to dare taking food from them."
"I was forced to get worse grades than my cousin or else I would be beaten and not allowed any food because they would believe I cheated. By the time my 10th birthday came, I was counting down the days until I could leave."
Clark got up and started pacing the room because if he didn't he had a feeling he would do something he would regret later. He could tell that Lois was just as horrified as him.
"A couple of weeks before my birthday a letter came for me, it was from Hogwarts, the magical school that most magicals in Britain and the surrounding areas go to. The letter had my exact address it had my room, the cupboard under the stairs, on it." Adriane snorts again, "My relatives were so scared that the magicals were watching them so they moved me from the cupboard into my cousin's second bedroom."
Clark started growling slightly when hearing that, Adriane had been forced to live in a cupboard most of her life while her cousin had two bedrooms?
"My uncle burnt the letter but that didn't do anything as more letters kept coming," Adriane smirked amused. "The letters flooded the fireplace, were somehow put in the eggs, and also ruined the letterbox we had. Eventually my Uncle decided to pack us up in his car and try to outrun the letters."
Lois let out a scoff at that, a little amused at that.
Adriane gave Lois a smile at their scoff. "I'm not gonna give all the details but somehow we wound up in a small hut in the middle of the sea the day before my birthday. At midnight on July 31st, there was some knocking on the door of the small hut, the door was broken down and soon the biggest man I ever saw walked in, he was Hagrid. Grounds keeper for Hogwarts."
"He was the one to explain that I was a wizard or well witch now but he didn't know that. He took me to a shopping center that was hidden from non-magical people, helped me get my school supplies, and explained how I was famous for not dying while my parents did. Then comes the start of the school year. Nothing much happened there, Hagrid forgot to tell me how to get onto the platform for the magical train that would take students to school and I needed to get help from a family to get on."
"The youngest son of that family wound up being someone I thought was my best friend, he was my first friend besides an owl that Hagrid had got me for my birthday. We met a few other people on the train, including a Bushy haired girl that was kind of rude but I shrugged it off."
Adriane sighed, she shouldn't have shrugged it off but she had just assumed that Hermione was nervous and trying to hide it.
"There are four houses at Hogwarts, there's Griffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Gryffindors are said to be heroes but they're a bunch of bullies and will turn on you if you do something that is outside of their image of you, sadly it's the most loved house. Ravenclaws are said to be the smart house full of scholars but they're also bullies that hate when anyone is smarter than them and like to bully and steal from a close friend of mine who's a year younger than me. Ravenclaws are the second favorite house"
"Hufflepuffs are supposed to be loyal and hard workers but they are only loyal to their house and themselves and if you do anything that they see as a wrong to one of their own they turn on you and attack even if it wasn't on purpose or if you weren't the one who did it. They are the third most favorite house"
"Slytherins are said to be the house of ambition and cunning, it's also the most hated house. Everyone says that every dark and evil witch or wizard comes from that house so everyone treats them awful. I know that this is wrong now but at the time of my sorting, I was a scared 11-year old that had been told by several people that Slytherin was the house of evil magicals."
"I was sorted into Gryffindor while I was supposed to be sent to Slytherin, turns out this was planned but I'll explain that later. Anyways things were normal for a while. If you don't count people staring and pointing at you where ever you go, or a teacher with a grudge against your father tries his best to make your life hell in his class."
"Things changed when Halloween came around, our defense teacher ran into the room, screamed that there was a freaking troll in the dungeons before he fainted" Adriane rolled her eyes. "The headmaster in all his glory decided that sending the students back to their common rooms with only the prefects who were also students to protect everyone."
"The Slytherin and Hufflepuff dorms are in the dungeons, they could have been attacked and killed, luckily that didn't happen. I noticed that the Bushy haired girl wasn't at the feast that night so me and My friend, I'll just call him red-headed boy from now on, anyways we went to go find her. We didn't think we would be in any danger, the troll wasn't supposed to be on the third floor afterall." Adriane scoffs at this. The scoff tells Lois and Clark that the troll was on the third floor and they shared another worried look.
"We got to the bathroom Bushy hair was in and heard screaming, we rushed in and tried to get her out of the way. I wound up on the troll's back with my wand up its nose and the redhead used a spell to levitate the troll's club and let it fall on the troll's head, knocking it out. We became best friends after that, we were called the Golden trio."
"Throughout the year we got into a few hijinks, I was on the school's quidditch team, which is a sport played on flying brooms, yeah cliche I know. During one game someone cursed my broom to try and buck me off, luckily I didn't get hurt. One time I and my friends were out after dark and accidentally found a three-headed dog that we later found was protecting a very powerful magical object."
"Turns out that the philosopher's stone is a real thing and was being hidden in my school. I and my two friends believed that our Potions Professor was trying to steal it, we tried to tell our head of house who was also the deputy headmistress but we were dismissed with nothing more than a pat on the head! She didn't believe us so later that night the three of us snuck out of our dorms and went to the room that held the three-headed dog."
Lois couldn't believe what she was hearing, what kind of teacher brushed a student off like that? Why were three 11-year olds being forced to be the ones to stop an adult from stealing a powerful magical artifact? Why was this magical artifact being hidden in their school of all places?
"The three-headed dog was pretty easy to take care of, if you play some music then they doze right off to sleep. There was already a harp playing when we got there so all we needed to do was move the dog's paw off of the trapdoor and then jump down. Luckily we had a soft landing, Unluckily that soft landing was a plant named devils snare, it's a plant that thrives in the dark and hates the light."
"We learned about them in class earlier in the year so the Bushy haired girl knew what to do, if she didn't then the plant would slowly strangle us to death."
Clark was horrified, what the hell was going on in this school of hers if they had so many dangerous things in it. He was starting to think that Kara was right in the fact that she would be safe when going to school or out with friends. Kara's life was tame when compared to Adriane's!
He had half a mind to make sure she never went back to that school ever again, but he had a feeling things were going to get worse during these explanations.
"The next challenge was a flying one, you needed to catch the key needed to get through the door to the next area. I'm one of the best flyers in that school so it wasn't hard. Next challenge was needing to play a game of chess to get through the room."
Adriane rolled her eyes, "What you need to know is that my red-haired friend was one of the best, if not the best, chest players in the school and surrounding areas. He 'Sacrificed' himself to allow me and the girl to go to the next room, it was another troll. Luckily is had already been knocked out or killed before we got there."
Lois and Clark were both horrified, this made it two trolls that got into this school and could have killed her.
"We quickly moved on to the next room with was a logic puzzle that the Bushy-haired girl managed to solve. It was something containing potions and only the correct potion would let you pass into the final room. There was only enough in the jar for one person to go through so I took it and walked in."
Adriane snorts as she recalled what happened next. "Turns out it wasn't our potions professor that had been trying to kill me and steal the stone, it was our Defense one! No one suspected him thanks to his fear of everything around him and his awful stutter."
Clark couldn't help but think that Batman would have suspected this guy even if he was scared of his own shadow.
"I also learned that he was hiding fucking Voldemort, the evil dark lord that tried to kill me as a baby, on the back of his Head! Somehow Voldemort survived that night back when he tried to kill me and had turned into a wrath that survived by possasing animals and people."
Clark was horrified, "Wait what-" He was cut off by a glare from Lois who hissed at him to be quiet and let Adriane finish her story.
Adriane waved off his apology, "It's fine, I was wondering how long it would be until one of you tried to ask something. You got farther than I thought you would to be honest."
The three of them let out small chuckles before things turned serious once again as Adriane continued her story. "The Professor was trying to get the stone from an enchanted mirror, it was charmed to show you your heart's desire. I saw it earlier in the year around christmas time when I had been gifted my dads old invisibility cloak and used it to sneak around for a bit."
Adriane didn't mention what she saw and the two sitting on the couch didn't want to pry. A person's heart's desire was a very personal thing to them.
"The headmaster had charmed the mirror to hide the stone and made it so only someone who had no desire to use the stone could get it. He did this after I saw the mirror obviously. Anyways Voldemort ordered the Professor to use me to get the stone, he dragged me over in front of the mirror and forced me to look in it."
"My reflection gave me a wink and put a red rock in its pocket, at the same time I felt something settle in my pocket. I tried to lie about what I saw and the professor seemed to believe me and shoved me away. As I was trying to back away Voldemort hissed out that I had been lying and ordered the Professor to kill me."
Lois tensed with wide eyes, even after hearing everything that had happened to her so far this was still horrifying to hear.
"For some reason, the Professor didn't try to use magic to kill me, he tried to strangle me but the second his hands touched me with the intent to kill he started burning and his hands started turning to ash. He backed away and I chased after and grabbed hold of his face. I wasn't trying to kill him, I was just trying to stop him from getting away but he turned to dust before I could take my hands away."
"The wrath form of Voldemort flew up in the air before flying through me and out of the castle, after that I passed out and the next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital wing talking to the headmaster who refused to answer my questions about why Voldemort was after me." Adriane scoffs. "And that was my first year of schooling in the supposed most protected place in the magical world, second only to the literal bank."
Clark glanced at the time and coughed in his hand causing the two girls to look at him curiously. "It's starting to get late, we'll have to continue this tomorrow if that's alright with you Adriane?"
Adriane nodded, shocked she had been talking for so long. "Of course, You should probably take my blood now so we don't forget about it."
Lois got up and grabbed something to hold Adriane's blood in and was just now wondering how they were going to take her blood when Adriane took out a goblin-made knife and used it to cut her hand and let it drip into the container. "Oh my god, Adriane what were you thinking?!"
Adriane looked at her confused as she used her magic to heal her hand and wave it at Lois, "I can just heal it? It wasn't a bad cut."
Lois sighed relieved as she put the lid on the container. "Please warn us if you do something like this again. Adriane was confused but nodded, "Okay?" One glance at the clock had Adriane get up, "I need to get back to the hotel now but How about I come back tomorrow around 1 pm?"
Clark nodded. "That should work if nothing else happens." Adriane smiled before telling them goodnight and leaving the apartment leaving Clark and Lois sitting there in silence for a few minutes.
Clark cleared his throat, "I need to get this blood to Batman for him to annalize. Mind if I take a copy of your recording so I can give it to him?"
Lois didn't say anything as she handed him the container of blood before going to her laptop and getting a copy of the recording on a USB drive, giving it to him. "Do not lose this." She said sternly.
"Don't worry, I won't." He said, giving her a small kiss before flying out of the window to go see a certain bat.
If you managed to get all the way to the end please let me know what you think. Was it too detailed? Was having her repeat everything the readers already know to boaring?
