You always make me feel a lot better when you answered my questions And I can't wait to see what you write about the joker because you make me all curious inside of what you're going to say in your next update also are you going to have Bruce or Clark have custody of over Adriane

Or are they going to have to compromise on who's going to have Adriane live with or does Sirius black and Remus lupin are going to be with Adriane to America and live with Bruce Wayne manor or just live next door to him or will do the same with Clark on living with him or live next door to him in Smallville?

Me: No Clark won't have a chance to have custody over Adriane. One reason is that he's not related to Adriane so he has no claims to her. Secondly, Bruce is related to her and does have a claim to have custody of her. I still am not sure about Sirius and Remus tbh.

You're going to have to wait and see what happens with the Joker. It will be very interesting.

Great job keep it up. Poor Adriane that was extremely hard on her it drained her mentally and physically maybe even emotionally. I'm glad she trusts Lois and Clark enough to take a nap around them. It's sad everything Adriane has gone through up till now. The good thing is she has people she can trust without reservation or doubt.

I Lois could she would empale Dumbledore with Godric Gryffindor's sword. I imagine Uncle Jack would do many painful things to Dumbledore as payment for the pain Adriane has endured. Update when you can

Me: This review actually inspired the ending of this chapter. Yes, Lois and Clark are very upset with Dumbledore and so will her uncle Joker/Jack when I eventually have them meet too.

Onto the story!

While Adriane was sleeping on the couch, Clark quickly flew over the Gothem and gave Bruce a copy of today's recording, and mentioned he might have another recording for him later before he flew off.

Bruce wasn't sure if he wanted to listen to the recording or not. He knew that he needed to know, but he really didn't want to listen to his little cousin, being put in even more danger. Sighing, he realized that he needed to let Damien listen to the first recording.

Grabbing the first recording he walked up to his son's room and knocked. "Damien are you in there?"

The door opened within moments, "Yes, Father?" "I have the recording that Clark brought over the other day, he recently brought over a second one. While I'm listening to that one I would like you to listen to this one." Bruce handed the USB over to his son before leaving to the Batcave.

Damien stared at the small USB in his hands. He wondered what could be on it that made Bruce so upset last night. Shaking his head, he closed the door to his room and, walked over to his laptop. He plugged in his headphones and, the USB before sitting down to listen. Damien was only a little surprised when learning that this girl was part Kryptonian, it explained why it was Superman who was bringing them the recordings to listen to. Hell, it explained why this girl went to Superman in the first place.

Damien could admit, if only to himself, that he was shocked when hearing about this girl's father's race. He had no idea that a race like that had ever existed, nor did he ever know that people or aliens could grow strong enough to destroy an entire planet without trouble. Damien made a mental note to track down any Saiyans that might be on the planet so he could keep track of them.

When Damien realized who this girl's Adoptive parents were his eyes widened. This was the girl whose blood had been analyzed, this was his father's cousin, his cousin. This girl was family!

He felt horrified when he learned what had happened to Rose's-Or uh Adriane's as she went by now, parents. Damien had a feeling his dad would speak with her about that charm thing but at the moment he was more worried about his little cousin's mental health. It didn't matter that she was probably a year or two older than him, she was his little cousin in his mind.

He listened to Adriane explain how her parents died in silence. Damien knew that he would always honor those two parents. Parents who gave their lives for their children had his respect.

He frowned when he heard that the "leader of the light" have forcefully changed Adriane into a boy the same night that her parents died. Damien had to hold himself back from going and ramming his sword in the bastard when he heard he left a toddler that had just been orphaned and had a forced gender change on a doorstep like a bottle of milk.

Damien was trying not to kill anyone anymore, that didn't mean he didn't want to kill this man though. Damien had to hold himself back again when he heard how Adriane had grown up, he felt sympathy for his cousin. He knew what it was like to be abused but not the way she had been. He had been killed and brought back to life by his Mother and Grandfather many times.

Damien listened as his cousin explained the houses and thought he heard a hint of bitterness and wondered just what the people in her school did to make her bitter. Wait, shouldn't she be in school if it was a boarding school? What was she doing over in America by herself? How did she manage to book a hotel and a plane ticket by herself?

These were questions he would be asking her when they met.

He would deny it forever if asked but just jaw dropped when he heard that his little cousin took out a giant troll without any training. Damien frowned when he learned of his cousin's adventure at the end of her first year at that school. Why were those obstacles so easy? They first had a three-headed guard dog, anyone who knew the legend of Cerberus knew that if you played music he fell asleep. Next, there was a living plant that, according to Adriane, they learned about in their first year of school. It was easy to take care of that plant as well.

After the plant, there were flying keys, apparently, his cousin was quite the flyer so that was no challenge to her to get past at all. Apparently, the next challenge was needing to play chess. Guess what? They just so happened to have an expert chess player in their group! Who would have known?

He was being sarcastic if you couldn't tell.

They then needed to fight a troll, they had already fought a troll earlier in the year so they already knew how to deal with it. Luckily, it was already taken care of. After the troll, there was a logic puzzle that Adriane's friend took care of. Adriane was then sent forward all alone with no backup and no plan.

He could tell right away that this was stagged, most likely by the headmaster so he could test the weapon he was raising.

Damien growled softly when realizing what the headmaster had planned, he probably knew that the person trying to steal the stone was being possessed by the man who murdered Adriane's parents. Instead of keeping her far away from the mess and dealing with it himself, he let an 11-year old girl do his dirty work for him. He was probably wondering what would happen if he let Adriane confront her parent's murderer.

Damien didn't move when the recording stopped, he was already thinking up plans on how to protect his little cousin. People didn't realize that Damien had wanted to be a big brother for a long time, he was a secret of his that he would take to the grave.

He might not be a big brother but he could protect his cousin with his life if needed.

With Bruce

Bruce stared at the second USB that Clark had given him in just as many days. He wondered if he was ready to listen to it, the last one had been awful but it showed him that his little cousin Rose was still alive. He had believed that she died the same night as Lily did.

Sighing he decided that he needed to hear this, if he wanted to meet her then he needed to understand what she went through. He had a feeling that Rose probably wouldn't like being treated like a child. Plugging it in he sat back to listen.

Bruce smirked when he heard how he tricked Petunia and her whale of a husband before frowning when he heard how that had ended. He snorted when he heard Rose's reaction to Clark growling, he had only heard him growl a couple of times and it was always a bit surprising, not that he showed that.

Bruce listened as Rose explained how Petunia and Vernon reacted to what the house-elf did and when they found out that she lied about being able to use magic. He clenched his fist when hearing that they put bars on her window, and locked her in her room, even going as far as to put a catflap on the door.

Bruce relaxed when hearing that she had been rescued from that place and, spent the rest of the summer with friends. He chuckled when he registered that Rose had threatened to gag Clark if he growled again. He frowned as he listened to how the passage to the train had been closed, and while Bruce was curious about how she got to school, he was just happy she wasn't hurt this time.

Bruce had to remind himself of his no-killing rule, hearing how the fraud of a teacher had vanished her bones after she broke her arm had him furious. He was really worried for his cousin, he knew this had already happened but things like the end of her first year had to have traumatized her. Bruce hoped that Rose would be up to talking about this with a therapist. Of course, it would be one that Bruce had screened first. It would most likely be someone in the league if he was being honest with himself.

Bruce blinked surprised when hearing that Rose could speak with snakes, he hadn't heard that one before. He frowned when hearing that this fact caused her entire school to turn on her, well almost the entire school. Bruce's eyes narrowed when he heard Rose explain how had to fight a basilisk in order to save the little sister of his friend. Once more she had been alone. He paled when hearing that she had been bit before slumping when hearing the news of her being healed by a Pheonix.

Bruce needed to do something to get rid of all this anger, standing up he turned the recording off after hearing how no one was sent to the nurse to be seen after their ordeal. Bruce stormed out of the room and to their home gym, he needed to let out some steam.

With Adriane and others

It took a couple of hours for Adriane to wake and when she did the first thing she did was apologize for falling asleep on Lois. Lois just laughed it off, telling her that it was fine and that it was clear she needed it.

"Adriane it's fine, you needed rest. You telling us all of this has tired you out, Physically, mentally and emotionally, it's understandable that you would need to recharge."

Clark then took the chance to jump in, "We're just thankful you trust us enough to tell us all of this and take a nap around us. It shows a lot of trust to sleep around people."

"Now come on, it's time for you to eat something young lady." Adriane shook her head fast despite her stomach growling. "No no no, I should be going, I have a really high metabolization! I am not going to eat you out of house and home." She jumped up and raced out the door. "I'll be back tomorrow to finish explaining!"

"Adriane wait-And she's gone." Lois sighed, "I wanted to do something nice for her." Clark walked over and wrapped Lois up in a hug from behind. "She knows that dear, But she might need much more food than even me, remember we don't know anything about her fathers half of her dna."

Lois nodded while leaning back into him, "You're right." Sighing before chuckling she smiled at him. "Well, We better go eat unless we want the food to get cold." "You're right, let's go eat love.

Adriane rushed back to her hotel and had Dobby bring her dinner. She wasn't lying when she said that she didn't want to eat all of Lois's food but she also had another reason to leave the way she did.

Trust.

Did she really trust these two people that she just met a couple of days ago? She was spilling her entire life story to these people and she had no clue why. It just felt like she needed to get it off her chest but she didn't know why she chose those two. She could have just told them about the blood adoption to explain away why she had 4 parents and was part human.

Earlier today, she had fallen asleep while leaning on one of them! It took months for her to get to that point with the twins and Neville when they first became friends. How was Lois able to move away from her without Adriane waking up? Adriane was a very light sleeper and sometimes even the smallest movements could wake her up if she didn't have her curtains closed.

That is unless she trusted the people she was with when falling asleep. So, now she needed to figure something else out. Why did she trust these two so much? Sure, Superman and she were technically from the same planet but that didn't really mean anything in the long run.

Lois was a reporter and Adriane never had good experiences with the press or reporters in general. Why then, did Adriane not feel apprehensive around her?

Superman was a hero but other than that she knew hardly anything else about him. She knew nothing about this guy and yet she still trusted him enough to sleep in the same room as him? With him being awake? Adriane didn't know why and she needed to figure it out fast.

She was scared. Scared of opening up and being hurt again. Adriane could admit that, if only to herself. There was a part of her that wanted to just go back to London and spend the rest of the Christmas holidays there, but there was another part of her that was longing to open up to someone besides those back at school.

Something deep inside her was urging her to trust these two and accept their help but she didn't know-how and she was scared to try.

So Adriane has a bit of a dilemma in how fast she trusted Clark and Lois. She's scared to let people besides those she knew without a doubt she could trust in. Remember, Adriane has had an awful life so it's fair if she has trouble trusting new people or people in general. Also a note for why Bruce is calling Adriane "Rose and Damien is calling her Adriane. Bruce was in shock when listening to the recording so didn't hear her explain that she went by Adriane now.
