Hey everyone guess who's back from break! One of the main reasons I went on break was that my laptop needed to be sent in and fixed, sadly they didn't have the tools needed to fix it so my grandpa and grandma bought me a small Chromebook so I can continue my stories.
It's used/refurbished so it didn't cost much, it was around 70$ which in my mind was a steal considering.
But the other reason was writer's block, this month really helped me get some ideas flowing again. I felt my writing was starting to get a little stale tbh.
The downside of taking a month off though, I read a lot of fanfictions myself and now have one very persistent idea floating around my head that just won't leave.
So probably be on the lookout for a fourth story, maybe. No clue how to write my idea but I'll probably figure it out.
(Ps, I'm using the same A.N for each chapter because 1) I'm lazy, and 2) Nothing concerning the story itself is needed to be explained while the stuff about my laptop sort of does)

Great job keep it up. Damn that was an extremely hard chapter on the Bat family but they needed to be told even thou it was extremely hard for some of them. I imagine once they have listened up to what has currently happened with Adriane they start planning how to help her. Damien and Jason had the most extreme reaction of the group.
I love how Alfred thought that she would love copies of photos he has. He's right though Adriane will love any photos she gets from Alfred magical or normal photos she will love them and make sure they are kept safe. I you need to take a break do so. Take a few weeks or a month to get new ideas and to get organized. Update when you can
Me: Yeah it was a hard chapter to write too. I had to go back to several points in my own story to make sure I didn't miss anything they would react to. I also had to go back and reread the other reaction chapters to make sure they weren't the same.
Alfried will be like Adriane's grandfather, that's what I want him to be like at least.

ok i have to ask because i just thought of it as i was reading the chapter, the Joker being Adriannes uncle i think it was? do you have any plans for at least some of his madness being caused by dumbles and the joker fighting it within his own mind and such? i cant remember whether you had him being a squib or not in this, but squib or not in harry potter verse they should theoreticly be able to learn and master at least occlumency to defend ones mind and if so i could see the core person who the joker is underneath withdrawing into his mind and the resulting dominate personality going batshit crazy somehow. you have an opportunity to write a OC joker here and i dont know if anyone has ever gone that route with joker in any fanfics, then again i havnt read that many. anyway looking forward to more chapters.
Me: It actually wasn't Dumbledore that caused the Joker to become insane, I've mentioned this before but I understand the confusion. I've been keeping what caused him to be insane under a tight lock and lid. I want it to be a surprise and plot twist.
And yeah he'll probably wind up being ooc later on, mostly because I plan for Adriane to fix their insanity later on in the story.
Its almost 2 am right now so I'm going to upload this chapter and then head to bed, I'm pretty tired right now XD
For the next week that Adriane was in the states, she trained with Clark. He took her to his fortress of solitude to teach her as much as he could about the Kryptoionans. Adriane was thankful for all that Clark and Lois had done for her, but she needed to head back to Hogwarts now.
Adriane didn't want to go back, she would need to start hiding as a boy again and, she had gotten so used to not being forced to pretend to be someone she's not. Knowing that she was now going to be heading back to a place that made her feel chained was awful.
The only reason she was going back was that she wanted to see her friends again. Adriane wanted to share what she found and what she did during the holidays with them. She also wanted to thank them for their gifts and find out what they thought about the gifts she had given them.
She stared at the airplane she was going to be using to get back to England and sighed before boarding it. Time to get back to school and pretend to be a boy again.
Adriane was expecting to be called into the headmaster's office as soon as they realized she was back in the castle. Adriane expected that Snape and McGonagall would be in the meeting in the headmaster's office. Adriane would just explain that she hadn't left the school grounds, she had just stayed hidden until the holidays were over.
They could try and force Adriane to talk but unless they did something drastic then they would never find out where she hid. Of course, Adriane had left Hogwarts grounds but unless Adriane told them then all they had would be suspicious.
They could try and punish her for not going to the yule ball but she would just explain that she was not the true Hogwarts champion and that she didn't feel it would be right for her to be at a celebration for the three true champians.
She would also explain that since most students from all three schools had shunned her that she didn't want to ruin the night for anyone by going.
Adriane settled down in the airplane seat she would be sitting in for several hours until the plane landed. She took out a muggle fiction book and started to read.
After the plane landed
Once again it took several hours before her plane landed, this time in London. Adriane glanced at the time, she had some time before classes started so she figured she would spend some time sightseeing in muggle London. Adriane had never had a chance to see muggle London properly.
There was no way the Dursleys would have ever took her with them for shopping or sightseeing. While she did spend a bit of time shopping for clothes and other things after getting her blocks off, she had been in a rush to get back to the bank and get training to control her new powers. She hadn't really had time to go all around London back then.
Adriane walked into an alley and had Dobby bring her a camera, she wanted some pictures of her at several tourist sights, like big ben. Adriane was planning on going all around the world after her last year at Hogwarts was done.
Not only would it help her hide from Dumbledore and his followers, but she would also be able to have a vacation for once in her life. Adriane knew she would have plenty of pictures by the time her world tour was done. Which was good, she wanted plenty of pictures to hang up in her future home.
It wouldn't be like the Dursley's house, no, her's would feel like a home.
Shaking her head she walked off to explore London in the few hours she had.
Adriane managed to fit in visits to several different places during her exploration.
She saw the London Eye, Big Ben, The Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace. She got pictures of her at every single place, she also managed to get others to take a picture of her at each place.
Adriane also took a picture with the guards at Buckingham Palace, well not really with them, they were in the background of the picture.
Adriane smiled before sighing, she needed to get back to school now. She had stalled for long enough so she had Dobby pop her back to the Chamber of Secrets where she changed into her male Hogwarts uniform. Grimacing she put the watch on, pushed a button, and felt the slimy feel of the glamour fall over her.
It wasn't really a slimy feeling, that's just how Adriane thought it should feel since she hated looking like a boy. She felt the need to pull the watch off and burn it but restrained herself. She needed to do this, if she didn't there was no telling what would happen and she knew it.
She walked around a bit to get used to being hidden by a glamour again before she took the watch off, got ready for bed, and went to sleep, she had class in the morning after all.
The next day
The next morning Adriane groaned before getting out of bed and started getting ready for the day. She glared at the mirror that reflected Harry Potter instead of Adriane Potter.
She despised this, she hadn't thought that going a few weeks without using the glamour watch would make it this hard to go back to using it.
Grumbling she grabbed the school bag that Dobby had prepared for her today and used a secret passage to leave the chamber and sneak back up to the school.
Using another secret passage she managed to speak to her class and waited in the back for the other students to file in. She had put a small notice me not charm around her desk, making it so only Neville could see through it.
When he came in he noticed Adriane right away and silently walked over to sit next to her. He gave a smile and Adriane whispered that she would tell him all about her trip after classes and her meeting with the headmaster that he would be bound to ask for when he realized she was in the castle again.
As soon as McGonagal walked in Adriane dropped the notice-me-not charm and listened to the lecture until the Professor noticed her sitting there looking bored.
"Mister Potter, where have you been!" The professor stopped teaching to walk back to her desk and basically harass Adriane.
"In a secret room I found, I told you when you asked before that I wasn't going to be going to that stupid Ball, I'm not a true champion after all and I would have hated to ruin the night for anyone else if I happened to join."
"Enough, you will be coming with me to the headmasters office after class so he can try to talk some sense into you, young man."
Adriane just raised an eyebrow in response, "And what about my other classes? Am I supposed to miss them and possibly get left behind the other students for however long it would take me to learn what they learned in class?"
The Professor glared at her, "Fine, after your classes are done you are to come see me so I can esscort you to the headmasters office."
Adriane nodded, "Very well, but I wish to have Professor Flitwick there as well."
McGonagall blinked confused, "Why on earth would you want him to be in the meeting?"
Adriane just looked right into McGonagall's eyes as she responded, "I would like to have at least one natural Professor there, I mean the Headmaster will clearly ask Snape to join in the meeting despite us disliking each other and him having no real reason to be there. And you will always take the Headmasters side despite any proof or evidence of any of his wrong doings. Professor Flitwick, while being bad at stopping the bullying in his house is a wonderful teacher and is nutural in this so yes I would like him to be there as a witness."
Everyone in the room was staring at Adriane in shock, several people were looking between a red-faced furious Professor McGonagall and a bored-looking Adriane.
"Ma'am I believe you should get back to teaching, after all the sooner we all learn this stuff the sooner we can leave this place."
The Professor glared at her, "20 points from Gryffindor!" Adriane snorted, "Only 20? Wow, you've gone soft, what happened to the woman who took 150 points from three first year Gryffindors for being out after curfew, it being their first offence after all. What happened to the Woman who decided that she wouldn't interfere when her house decided to bully one of those students to the point they needed to go to the hospital wing several times because they were hexed bad enough that they couldn't undo it?"
Adriane just stared at McGonagall making it clear that the Professor didn't have any of her respect, in fact, the only thing Adriane had in her heart for the Professor was contempt.
Professor McGonagall slumped her shoulders with wide eyes, staring at Adriane in shock and realization as the sound of a bell rang out, telling students that they were free to leave their class and make their way to their next one.
Adriane packed up her things with Neville and left the room without another word, leaving behind a shocked classroom full of students and one Professor that was questioning where she went wrong.
Later that day.
Throughout the rest of the day, everyone kept walking up to Adriane and asking where she had been for the holidays. Adriane made sure to answer every question the same way, she had found a hidden room and stayed there so she wouldn't be forced to go to the Yule Ball.
When people asked why she hadn't wanted to go to the ball she responded that she wasn't a true champion and she refused to act like she was. Then Adriane would walk away from whoever she had been talking to.
As soon as the last class was over Adriane walked to Professor Flitwick's office and asked him to come with her to her meeting with the headmaster. After hearing her reasons for wanting him there he agreed and led her to the headmaster's office. They bumped into Professor McGonagall on the way who had been searching for Adriane, the three of them then made their way to the meeting.
"Harry, My boy, you had us all very worried. Minerva, Fillius you two may leave."
"With all dew respect Headmast" which was none at all. "I would like the two Professors to stay, after all you have invited Professor Snape to this meeting despite him having no reason to be here."
Snape glared at her. "Typical Potter, arragent just like your father."
Adriane just raised an eyebrow, "And that right there is exactly why I wish for the other Professors to stay. Despite Professor McGonagall being deep in your pocket I believe that she would like to be here anyways, and I would prefer to have a nutural Professor here which is why I asked Professor Flitwick to be here."
Dumbledore gave her a disappointed look, "Very well my boy, Minerva, Fillius you two may stay. Harry please take a seat."
"I would prefer to stand actually, also please restrain yourself from calling me your boy or Harry, please call me Mister Potter from now on, only my friends may call me Harry and you are not one of them."
Actually, her friends called her Adriane, but unless she wanted to tip him off she wouldn't mention that.
Dumbledore sighed, acting disappointed with her while inside he was furious at Adriane for talking back to him. "Very well, Mister Potter. I would like to know where you've been hiding all this time and why you missed the Yule Ball? You had been told that it was an obligation for all champions."
"Well, I'll tell you the exact same thing I told everyone else who's asked me that today. I found a hidden room and decided to spend the break there, I refused to go to the ball because I am not a true Champion and if I had went I would have surley ruined someone elses night and I would never dream of doing that."
"Ha-Mister Potter, you must understand that you are a champion, young Missus Weasley was distraught that you disappeared before you two had a chance to go to the ball together."
Adriane stared at Dumbledore like he was crazy before looking at Snape when he spoke. "I don't understand why we are waisting time with an attention seaking brat, lets just punish him and have it over with."
"Professor I did not break any rules by not going to the ball or by staying hidden for the entire break. Therefore I do not know what you would be punishing me for." Adriane made sure to make her voice sound innocently confused.
"Mister Potter is correct Severus, he has done nothing against the rules. We might dislike that he hid and missed the ball but he broke no school rules." Adriane held back a smirk, looks like her asking for Professor Flitwick to be here was a good thing.
Adriane gave him a thankful nod before speaking up again. "Why would Miss Weasley think that I would have ever gone with her to the ball even if I had gone in the first place. I would have asked Luna or Fluer to go as friends before I asked her, She creeps me out with her constant staring and not to mention she was one of the people who turned against me."
"My boy-Mister Potter, forgivness is a vurtue, I think you and Miss Weasley would make a wonderful couple."
Adriane shook her head. "No, we wouldn't, for one thing she's a fan girl, I refuse to ever date one of those, secondly like I said she gives me the creeps. Thirdly, she turned against me, I refuse to forgive her after she tried cursing me in the back while I was standing at the top of a staircase when the entire goblit of fire inccendent first happened."
"Not to mention she has red hair, whenever I see a redhead I always think that might have been what my siblings might have looked like had my parents lived to give me siblings. She also has a bad temper and loves screaming at anyone just like her mom, I dislike yelling."
"She's also very quick to curse someone if they do something she doesn't like or disagrees with. If we started dating for any reason you can be assured that it wouldn't be long before one of us ended up in the hospital wing and we broke up." Adriane shrugged. "May I leave now? I need to go finish my homework from my classes today if I want to have time for myself."
Adriane waited until Dumbledore gave her a shocked nod before she left the office. She walked a few corridors down before checking herself for tracking charms on a hunch, she huffed when she found that her clothes were now covered in the things, she got rid of the charms and double-checked that they were all gone before going back to the ROR to meet with her friends.
Adriane wondered how they liked her gifts, they hadn't really had time to talk between classes today so she still didn't know.
Headmasters office
Dumbledore waited until Minerva and Fillius left his office before scowling at the door, "That damn brat! How dare he talk to me like that."
"I've been telling you for years that he's an arrogant brat, you've given him to much leeway."
"You might be right Severus, please make some stronger potions to slip into his meals, it's clear that he's starting to become immune to the ones already in his systom."
Snape smirked evilly, "With pleasure." He then swooped out of the office to work on the potions.
Dumbledore sat there, chin resting on his folded hands as he thought of what just happened.
How dare that little brat disobey him? Everything he did was for the greater good, only he, Albus Dumbledore knew what was best for the wizarding world. They all had to listen to him or else their world would become a copy of the disgusting muggle world.
One day he would have control over the entire magical world and soon after that, he would control the muggle world as well. He was the only one with the ideals, drive, power, and image to do it after all. He was the only one that could be allowed to be in charge.
He worked for the greater good, the greater good of himself after all. HE WAS THE GREATER GOOD!
