i have read and reread this storythe few times but what ever happen to hedwig, i may have missed it as i hope she is still around and firmly on adrianes side(maybe even a super pet like krypto the super dog and supergirl's super horse)

Me: Don't worry! Hedwig is still with Adriane, I mention her a few times in the story but not often. Whenever Adriane goes to bed she makes sure to feed her pets.

Great job keep it up. Holy cow that was a lot to spend in one go, but money well spent. I would have done the same in Adriane's shoes. The British magical world will now be able to advance to the current level of technology. I imagine that whoever placed the wards was either a purebred magical person or someone scared of the advice in technology they were seeing over a short period of time. Update when you can

Me: Adriane might not like most magicals but she doesn't want them all to die out from not progressing or worse, not knowing about the heroes and villains out there. They might try to use magic on them to erase their memories or something!

Onto the story!

The next few days passed by the same way as the last two. Go to classes, avoid the idiotic trio, hang out with her friends, feed her animals and play with them for a bit before getting dressed for bed and going into her mindscape.

She managed to sort out her first and second-year memories and looking back at everything that happened she wondered why she never noticed something was going on before this year.

Adriane didn't want to think poorly of Hagrid, he was her first friend and gave her Hedwig. He had saved her from the Dursleys, but he had also made sure to praise Gryffindors above all other houses. He kept saying bad things about Slytherins.

Adriane loved being a Gryffindor, she didn't know if she would have been friends with Fred, George, and Neville if she wasn't one. She just couldn't help but think of what could have happened if she had been sorted into Slytherin. Would she have been friends with Draco instead of Ron?

Would Ron and the other Gryffindors bully her? Would the school have turned against her again?

She supposed that it wasn't worth wondering what might have happened had the hat not listened to her. She still hated that Hagrid had probably been told to make Gryffindors out to be the best, Slytherins out to be the worse with no mention of the other two houses and what they represented.

She could now see that her meeting the Weasleys had been a setup from the very start. Why would Molly Weasley need to ask what the platform number was? Why would she ask it so loudly in the middle of a very public, Muggle, train station? Why, if not for the fact that it was a setup?

They knew that Hagrid had never told her how to get into the platform and used that as Bait to real her in.

There was also the fact that Ron had claimed that every other compartment was full, knowing what she knows now she was aware that the train would add more compartments as needed. It was a magical train after all.

And then there were other things she didn't want to get into right now. Tonight she was working on third year, maybe she would be able to see if Remus and Sirius did anything fishy?

Adriane carefully sorted all of her memories from her third year in the form of books onto the bookshelf. She noticed that whenever Sirius looked at her he looked confused but there was still real affection in his eyes.

The thing that made her pause though was that the confusion seemed different than normal confusion. It seemed like he knew he was forgetting something and knew something was wrong but was confused about what.

As soon as she was done sorting her memories she quickly pulled out her mindscape. Luckily, she was getting resistant to how tired sorting or doing things in her mindscape made her so she quickly grabbed several pieces of parchment and started writing.

First, she wrote a letter to Sirius, and then she wrote to Grinlast.

Dear Grinlast

I need a favor, you're probably confused right now but soon (Hopefully) Sirius Black will be in your office. I need you to give him an inheritance test and then clean him of any binds, bonds, blocks whatever.

I have good reason to believe that his memories have been altered, I'm willing to pay any price without haggling to get this done along with having your healers take care of him. If this can be done in the time chamber so he has time to recover without needing to worry about me being in danger then I am willing to pay for this as well.

Please Grinlast.

Adriane quickly called for Winky and Dobby and had Winky take Grinlast's letter to him before sending Dobby to her godfather and asked him to make sure he got to Grinlast.

She also made sure to tell him not to show up if someone else was in the room with Sirius.

With Sirius

Sirius was sitting in his room silently reading. If you had told him years ago that he would one day, willingly come back to this awful place and willingly read anything he would have called you insane and checked the person into st mungo's himself.

But here he was, sitting in the same room his teenage self despised and reading a book.

Why was he here if he hated it you ask? It was to help his godson, that was why he was reading this book. He was trying to help Harry in any way that he could.

Sirius jumped when a house elf appeared in his room. "Mister Sirius black sir, you need to read this letter from yours godchild." His eyes widened, "Harry? Harry wrote me. Give that here!"

He snatched the letter away and tore it open, eyes roaming the letter as he started to read.

Dear Sirius

I'm not sure what you've heard on what's going on but if you've heard it from anyone but me then ignore it. Especially if it comes from Dumbledore. I can't explain everything but I will tell you that he's got a weird fixation on me.

Please, let Dobby take you to the bank, they can give you an inheritance test that will make sure you're healthy. I got it done and it was a huge shock to me, please Sirius I need you to do this. I don't have any adults I can trust but you or the Goblins in England.

He read the letter several times before shoving it in his pocket. "Alright, lets go. If Harry thinks this is something I need to do then I will, I've let him down so many times already, it's time I've started making it up."

He let the elf take his hand and pop him into the office of a Goblin that from the nameplate was called Grinlast.

He didn't want to know how he got that name.

"Greetings, Mr. Black. Time is money so put some blood in a basin and we will then proceed with pouring it onto parchment.

Sirius slowly took the knife the Goblin handed him and did as he was told and then he sat in silence as they waited for the potion to settle.

As soon as it did they poured it onto the parchment and Sirius watched as it was slowly filled out.

"Well Mr. Black, It appears that it was a good thing your godchild sent you in when they did." Grinlast hummed and pushed a button before talking into what Sirius numbly realized was a small microphone.

"Please get the ritural room prepared for another cleansing, we need to get binds off of a wizard. Fix a mind fracture, fix exposure to dementors and remove memory charms."

He paused as there was a response before Grinlast spoke once again, "It is already paid for, also have someone set up the time chamber. My client is willing to pay whatever it takes for this man to be able to use it."

Grinlast then turned to him, "You are probably very confused but if you will follow me we will get this taken care of and get you as my client says, 'right as rain' in no time."

Sirius numbly followed him in shock.

Dumbledore, he had to have done this but why? How long has these charms and binds been on him? Did Dumbledore make it so he would hate his family?

Is he the reason why Sirius ditched his little brother?

Why did one of the charms make him trust Remus? Why did he need to be charmed to do that? Clearly, something was wrong and he didn't think Remus could be trusted, there was a voice in his head screaming at him that he was being stupid, that of course, he can trust Remus and Dumbledore.

After all, Remus was his best friend, the only thing he had left of James, and Dumbledore was the best Wizard in the world.

Luckily Sirius now knew that the voice was most likely the charm.

The next day with Adriane

Adriane woke up the next day tired, luckily it was the weekend so she didn't need to get up right away. She had stayed up late last night worrying over her godfather. Merlin, she hoped he was okay.

She stayed laying down for a bit before getting up and dressing for the day. While getting changed she noticed an envelope on her bedside table and quickly picked it up and ripped it open.

She started to read.

Dear Lady Adriane Kenna Dive Potter Black Gryffindor Slytherin Ravenclaw Emrys.

Your suspicions that Sirius Black has been under compulsions were true, I can not tell you what they are of course. I got permission from Mr. Black to let you know that he has gone through the ritual and is now in the time chamber to heal. His memories are fuzzy and will be for a while, he decided to pay for the ritual himself but you are still paying for the time chamber.

I'm sure you will be glad to know that your godfather was shocked to know what had happened to him. He also did not abandon you even under compulsions. According to him, he has sent you letters that are never responded to.

He has told me that he's been looking up old spells that he believed could help you and sent them in letters. We here at Gringotts have reason to believe that Dumbledore is still tampering with any mail you get that is not sent by a house elf or by your familiar Hedwig.

Adriane slowly sat down on her bed staring at the letter. Sirius hadn't abandoned her, he had been trying all this time to help her. She wiped her eyes, why was she crying? This was good news! Her godfather never gave up on her.

Why was she crying? It made no sense to cry now so why was she?

Adriane put her face in her hands and let out a soft sob. She had a feeling these compulsions went back for years. What if he had been spelled to go after Peter? Dumbledore had robbed her of any chance of having a happy childhood.

She lied down and grabbed a pillow, holding it to her chest tightly as she sobbed her heart out.
