Guess who's back with the next chapter! I had fun writing this one, especially the ending.
Anyways onto the reviews.
ZeroGs22 chapter 40 . Jan 10
thank you for the chapter(for this story and the other two) its always fun to read these stories
now comes the end of the school year i wonder if she will be spending time with the waynes and if she will meet dear old uncle jack or if she will go back to superman for more training,
also for the weakness to magic well its less of a weakness perse and more just that kryptons are effected by it like any other non-magical and non-magically resistant magical person/creature unless they have the prober equipment and/or training, mind you that kryptons can only ever become resistant to magic and not out right immune to it unlike with kryptonite which all full blood and half blood kryptons can become outright immune to with enough exposure ps there is a grand total of 32 types of kryptonite(including green) and some have some bonkers effects
i do wonder if we will ever get to see giant monkey adriane, i know she said she cant control it but really she just thinks that because she has yet to train hard enough to learn how or figured out the method needed to learn how to control it, and if she does keep her tail and learn how to control the gaint monkey and get super sayan i wonder if you will let her unlock super sayan 4 because lets be real super sayan 4 is just cool, which also makes me wonder just how far into DBZ you will go
Me: Adriane will be going to gothem for a bit of the summer, I plan on having her finally meet the Wayne's in person but no she won't be living with them.
Now about the magic not being an actual weakness, I know, several people have commented on this but I'm going to keep it as one in this story for a few simple reasons.
1 I'm lazy and don't want to have to go back and reedit the parts where it speaks of magic being a weakness to her.
and 2, I actually want Adriane to have a weakness that isn't Kryptonite since her Sayion side could take care of that.
And finally for the last question not even I know how far I'll get into the DBZ lore.
theaceofharts chapter 40 . Jan 17
you really need to read what you have already written. you have the story doing the same things over in a few places like what to do about the inheritance. you have her telling the goblins what to do with the properties she got while she was still at the bank then you have her doing the same thing in letters. now with the Horcrux, you have the echo going after the cup but had already said that the goblins had found and destroyed it. the ring is not talked about. i assume it was found when the shack was demolished. the story is okay but the whole thing is flawed. you are trying to combine DBZ, DC, and HP. it could be an interesting story, but DBZ takes place on an Earth that is so completely different from DC and HP that I do not see it working out in the narrative that you have set up so far
Me: I'm sorry, I've only recently started taking notes on what my characters have already done, and please remember this is still my first mega fanfiction, I'm still working out the kinks and whatnot, I'm not going to be a pro at all this stuff with only a few years of writing after all! XD
Also in the notes I was keeping it said that the cup hadn't been destroyed yet and that the ring had been, I'm sorry that I made a mistake with that.
I do admit that merging the three fandoms might be hard but I think it'll be fine. Honestly, I always thought the earth in DBZ was a bit weird considering how much open space was all around without anything built there.
god eater chapter 6 . Jan 17
how can ravenclaw, emrys, and gryffindor have that kind of money when they didnt have any heirs for hundreds of years?
Me: Interest my dear friend, interest and the money they get for the investments they had in Gringotts. Since no one was spending the money it just kept growing.
Onto the story!
When Adriane woke up an hour later she felt like her body was made of lead. She also noticed that her body was shaking slightly as pain filled her entire being. She needed to get to a healer, preferably a Goblin healer.
She stumbled as she did her best to stand up, swaying back and forth. She had to grab the end table to keep from falling. "D-Dobby!." Her voice was raspy and dry.
A soft pop signified Dobby's arrival, "Mistress Adriane, Yous be awake!" He looked overjoyed before it turned to worry, "Oh nos, yous be hurt!"
"Yes I am, please take me to Grinlast and ask for a Goblin healer." She told Dobby, she felt like she could pass out at any time and she didn't want him to panic not knowing what to do.
It was a good thing she told him that because as soon as he popped her into Grinlast's office she passed out, the last thing she saw was the shocked look on the Goblin's face at seeing the condition she was in.
When she woke up next, she felt a lot better. She was still sore, lightheaded, and had a headache but it wasn't nearly as bad as it had been when she first woke up.
Her mouth felt like cotton and she let out a groan as the harsh lights of the Goblin infirmary agitated her headache and made her eyes ache. Her groan alerted Grinlast's sister, Karlast that she was awake.
"Ah you're finally awake, how are you feeling?" She asked as she walked over to stand beside Adriane's bed.
"I feel like I was run over by a car," Adriane mumbled in her groggy and rough voice. Karlast quickly poured her a cup of water from the pitcher on the side table and helped her sit up slightly and drink it.
"Easy now, you've been out for over a day. We did our best to help you but there will still be some sourness since we don't know what happened."
Adriane looked at her confused, "Wouldn't the medical charm tell you what was wrong?"
"While normally yes, this time the charm didn't tell us anything except that you were sore and in pain. Normally it tells us what's wrong and what caused it." Karlast explained, she knew Adriane's training had mostly covered defense and hardly covered anything medical-wise. She learned a few medical charms for emergencies and she knew enough non-magical medical knowledge to get by.
This was something Karlast disliked, she felt that if someone was going to learn to fight they should learn to heal as well so if and when they got hurt they could heal themselves. It didn't have to be perfect, it just needed to last long enough so they could get away and get to a proper healer.
"I was hit by a stunner and then by a Crucio by Voldemort."
Karlast gasped and rushed out of the room leaving Adriane sitting there confused. She came back minutes later with a potion and Grinlast following on her heels.
"No wonder you were so hurt, drink this it helps with the aftereffects of the Cruciatus curse. You will feel sore and shake off and on for a month unless you take this potion" The goblin healer spoke as she gently shoved the potion into Adriane's hands.
"The cruciatus curse isn't the cause of all the pain though, when I woke up from the stunner I was lightheaded, dizzy, and couldn't think or use my strength to get out of simple ropes that were holding me to a stone statue."
"You two know that normally I could easily get out of those ropes, they weren't enchanted so it would have been super easy."
Grinlast and Karlast shared a look before Grinlast spoke, "You couldn't use your strength at all?"
Adriane shook her head in response, "And this was after getting hit with a stunner and before getting hit with the cruciatus curse. I know Superman said that Kryptions were weak against magic but I never realized how much that was."
"We'll have to see if we can find something to counteract that," Karlast spoke with a small frown on her face.
"Could I commission one of your blacksmith and enchanters to make me some special earrings that are charmed to deflect some of the simpler spells like the stunner?"
"I'm not going to need this watch anymore in a few days and would like to give it back to the goblin nation." She said while pointing at the watch on her wrist, she would be able to be free of this stupid glamour in a few days.
"I shall take a look and see if this can be done for you." Grinlast spoke, "I shall leave you to get some more rest, we may talk later when you are feeling better." He then turned and walked out of the room while Karlast started healing Adriane.
After being healed she took a nap and was feeling so much better when she next woke up. After Karlast checked her over she sent her up to Grinlast's office.
That brings us to where Adriane was now, sitting in a comfortable plush chair across from Grinlast's desk.
"Now I will have to go back to Hogwarts for a few more days, even if it's only to reassure my treasured friends that I am alright. I will return as soon as the Hogwarts express leaves and then we can make a list of what we should get done first."
"I know we have a lot we need to get done, I've also repeated myself in letters a few times so we shall make a list of what should be done first and what can be put off."
Adriane watched as Grinlast nodded in agreement, "This would be for the best, I will make sure the blacksmith has your earrings done before you return now you should be going. I'm sure several people have been worrying about you."
She smiled slightly and stood up, "I once again thank you and your sister for taking care of me. May your happiness prevail and your families thrive." she then called Dobby to take her away and back to school.
She then had to deal with calming down Dobby, Winky, Usagi, and Hedwig before she turned her glamour back on and left the chamber of secrets.
She just walked around looking for the twins, Neville, Luna, and Fleur. She wanted to say goodbye to Fleur before she left and also let her know that she was alive.
She knew that it wouldn't take long for word to spread that "H̶a̶r̶r̶y̶ P̶o̶t̶t̶e̶r̶" was spotted. As soon as the idiotic trio and the headmaster heard she knew that they would soon come to bother her.
She walked out onto the grounds and spotted her friends by Fleur's pumpkin carriage, it reminded her of cinderella's carriage in the story. Adriane ran down to them with a wide smile.
Her friends turned when hearing footsteps and relief and happiness spread over their faces. Luna tackled her into a hug making them both fall to the ground.
Adriane laughed as she hugged Luna, her little sister, back and smiled up at her other friends. "I'm back guys, sorry for worrying you."
Neville helped her and Luna, who still refused to let go of Adriane, up. "You had us worried sick, where have you been?"
"Sorry Nev, I was in Gringott's medical wing. Turns out I have a really bad reaction to offensive magic being used on me." She regretted adding that last bit when she saw the worry on their faces.
"What kind of offensive magic?" Fred asked with a frown.
Adriane winced, "Oh you know just a stunner. . . And um maybe a small Crucio?"
"What?!" Neville turned pale and George had to wrap an arm around them to help keep him standing. "You were hit by the Cruciatus Curse?"
She slowly nodded, her eyes snapped over to Fleur's headmistress as she called out for all of her students to enter their carriages as they were now leaving.
"Oh no, I'm sorry I have to go but we are talking about this later do you hear me." Fleur gave her a stern look tinted with worry before she climbed into the carriage, within moments of her entering it, the carriage started moving. The group made sure to wave, not stopping until it was out of sight.
"I'm going to miss her. Now, what was that about you being hit with the Cruciatus Curse." Fred said turning around to face her before his face took on a small sneer as he spoke again. "Guess we'll have to hear about that later, the idiot trio and the headmaster are walking over here."
Adriane groaned before turning around, raising an eyebrow when Hermione tried to fling herself at her to give her one of her too-tight hugs. She quickly stepped out of the way and watched as Hermione's face dropped.
She shouldn't feel satisfied with that but she did and she didn't care. If being glad the people who betrayed her and made her suffer were upset was bad then she would gladly be bad in this instance.
"My Boy, where have you been?" The headmaster spoke, making sure he sounded worried but Adriane could hear the annoyance in his voice under it.
"I don't believe that is any of your business Headmaster, and please do not call me that again."
"H̶a̶r̶r̶y̶ you can't speak to him that way, he's the Headmaster, he deserves respect!" Hermione spoke with a shocked look on her face. Adriane just rolled her eyes and didn't respond to her, she honestly didn't know why Hermione was still trying to lecture her like she used to. It's not like she listened.
"My-Mr. Potter, you've been missing for over a day, there have been several strange deaths in the magical world and we worried you were one of them." Dumbledore spoke again interrupting Hermione before she could say anything else
"As you can see I'm alive and just fine, now you can leave." She made sure to speak coldly to the group.
"H̶a̶r̶r̶y̶ come on mate, when will you forgive us?" Ron spoke up next, his voice sounded like a whine and it grated on her ears.
She spun around and glared at him. "Forgive you? Forgive you? You're seriously asking when I'll forgive you?"
"Mr. Potter, forgiveness is a beautiful thing, you, Ms. Granger, and Mr. Weasley have been friends for years, surely you won't let a small mistake get in the way of friendship!" He smiled at her, expecting her to agree and forgive the backstabbers just like that.
Why he was still expecting her to act like that after an entire year of dealing with a stubborn defensive Potter she had no clue.
"It wasn't just a small mistake!" Adriane turned her glare to the headmaster before turning it back to Ron. "Weasley here refused to believe me when I said I didn't put my name into this tournament, he then took to sending spells at me whenever he could get away with it. He convinced most of the other Gryffindors to do the same making me have to seek other housing options."
"Granger didn't believe me either and she started ruining all my homework until I finally left the tower and only because she couldn't get to it because she didn't know where I was staying and I made sure to keep it in a bag charmed so only I could open it."
"And then when I survived fighting a dragon, even beating it something that takes over seven grown adults to do, they come running back expecting me to forgive and forget just like that."
"That's not even all they've done to me and I'm sick of it so no Headmaster I will not forgive them. Just like I'm not forgiving you for everything you've done over the years!"
Adriane was breathing heavily as she finally got this off her chest, her glare was harder and colder before she turned to walk away when she heard the headmaster speak again.
"My boy, what do you mean by that? What could I have done to make you distrust me so."
She spun around, "What you've done? What you've done? I have an entire list of what you've done! Leave me alone." She turned back to the castle and walked back with her friends. Her head held high as she left the group of four traitors behind.
She then spent the rest of the day telling her friends what happened and she wrote a letter to Fleur telling her the same thing. That night when she went to sleep she noticed that Hedwig was sleeping on the headboard of her bed instead of the perch on the other side of the room and that Usagi was sleeping on her chest instead of the pillow next to her.
She smiled softly and gently ran her hands through the bunny's soft fur as she dozed off feeling loved.
