Trauma
Some seem to think
Without any pain
Things don't move forward
There is no gain
Pain comes in many forms
Physical pain will come and go
The pain in the heart and mind
Lingers and lessens very slow
Should each step forward
Result in two steps back
It seems like any advance
Is viewed as an attack
Only those that are loved
Are ever able to truly hurt one
They can make one feel defeat
When everything has been won
There appears to be no escape
From life's daily drama
To share joy, happiness and love
One must experience great trauma
