Hey, guess who finally updated? Sorry about the long wait but I've been pretty busy and my Beta reader has been pretty sick this last month. I've been more concerned with their health than with them editing my stories. My stories can wait, they're health can not.
They're still sick but insisted on editing them after I messaged asking if they were feeling better and saying I was concerned after not hearing from them.
Anyways onto the reviews.
theaceofharts chapter 41 . Feb 22
It is common for for writers to forget what they have put down already. It has been four years since you started this story. Notes are good for possible plot. If you have an idea put it in your notes and try to work it into the story. If you use an idea be sure to reference were in your notes so it does not get repeated. Yeah the planet in DBZ is called Earth, but is not based off our civilization like DC and HP are. Even the land masses are not the same. I am not saying that the plot of this story can not be done. The realities just do not fit together the way you are trying without some major conflict in the story lines.
Me: Yeah but that's the fun of it, trying hard to combine three different worlds, each with its own rules and limitations together. It's part of the challenge that makes me both love and sometimes hate writing.
Also I'm glad that there are people who understand that I might not remember everything from the start of the story, been several years since I've started and even if I got back and reread it. There are several things that I could forget by the time I write the next chapter.
Lady Rosa Marinette Hufflepuff chapter 38 . Feb 23
I got a question is Sirius got potions in him please don't tell me that Lupin is on this too Please tell me he has potions inside of it too, because adriane needs him to make sure Sirius doesn't do anything stupid Please tell me it's that I helped some of the Weasley's come back to their senses and find out that her mom and their youngest siblings are doing this to Harry or Adriane
Me: Sorry you'll have to wait and see what's going on with Remus and the rest of the Weasley family.
MadamKhaos chapter 38 . Mar 24
Poor Adrianne. I just wish she was a bit more vindictive. How can she not wish harm on these traitors. Argh. Fine! She can take a back seat and plug her ears and cover her eyes while Uncle Joker takes a crack at them.
Me: Adriane has a gentle soul for the most part, that doesn't mean that she isn't going to get revenge for herself though. Keep in mind, revenge doesn't have to be physical, it can be mental too. :)
Onto the story!
Adriane spent the rest of the time until the train was ready to leave, evading Dumbledore and the teachers. She knew they wanted answers to their questions, but she refused to talk to any of them. It was largely Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Snape that tried to corner her over any of the others. It got to the point that she was able to sense them coming in her direction even if they weren't in her line of sight.
It was weird but helpful, so she didn't question how she was able to do that. Ignorance is bliss after all.
She had decided that she wouldn't take the train back to London. If she did, she would be stuck on it with the three idiots trying to find her, and it would let Dumbledore know precisely when she would get to the station.
So instead she would rather have Dobby or Winky pop her to Gringgotts and give the Goblins the okay to go ahead with their plans.
Adriane made sure to give Fred, George, Luna, and Neville hugs goodbye before they left for the train. After they left, she finally took the watch off her wrist and looked into a mirror as she changed her features so people wouldn't associate her with the Potter family.
First, she let her hair grow out until the middle of her back, and made it red and slightly wavy. She made her eyes more rounded instead of almond and changed the color to a light hazel with specks of green and gold scattered around the iris.
After this, she made her nose a bit thicker and longer, not too long she didn't want to look like Snape's daughter after all. She made her cheeks sharper and added some freckles around the bridge of her nose. She then gave her ears a bit more of a point.
Then she decided to change her outfit as well for a better disguise.
First, she swapped out her current top for a brown silk blouse, the sleeves started out tight and form fitting in the shoulders but when they reached her wrists, they flowed out and became puffy. The body of the blouse was form fitting around her chest before billowing out like the sleeves. It hung off her shoulders in a way that showed off her beautiful skin.
She then grabbed some blue skinny jeans that she thought hugged her curves quite nicely and gave her a complimentary figure There were some rips in the knees, but it was more of a purposefully appearance than from her lack of fixing it.
After the pants, she grabbed some black ballet flats that had a strap with a belt buckle on them and slipped them on after putting on a pair of white ankle-high socks. She used her wand and charmed the socks to not fall as she walked because she knew that if she didn't charm them, then they would fall down and halfway off her foot within the hour.
Adriane then put on some jewelry. She hadn't been able to dress up like a girl since Christmas. Sure, she could wear what she wanted when she was in the chamber or the ROR, but she mostly stayed in comforting baggy clothes. She never saw the need to dress up like this when she wouldn't be able to go anywhere and not to mention, she spent most of her time down there either training or studying, not really things she felt the need to dress up for.
She put on a simple rose gold locket in the shape of a heart around her neck and opened it to look at the pictures inside. On one side there was a picture of her and her friends down in the chamber having a game night. On the other side, there was a picture of her adoptive parents, she wished that she had a picture of her birth parents, but sadly she didn't.
Shaking her head to get rid of those thoughts, she closed the locket and let it go, letting it swing down to rest against her chest right above her putting her hair up in a ponytail, she had Dobby pop her to the bank into Grinlast's office. Thankfully he was expecting her since she had alerted him to the fact that she would be missing the train.
"Miss Adriane a pleasure to see you again. I'm pleased to note that you are in much better health then when we last saw one another."
"Grinlast I know you well enough by now to know you calling me Miss is your way of wanting to rile me up, please just call me Adriane." She spoke, her voice amused as she regarded her account manager and someone she believed was a good friend.
She was rewarded for her comment with a chuckle and smiled slightly. Grinlast looked up at her, his eyes showing his fondness for the teenager in front of him.
"Very well if this is what you wish."
"You know very well it is." She rolled her eyes in exasperation. "Has the Mansion in Gotham been cleaned and refurbished as I asked for a while back?"
"Indeed it has, we updated and repaired the manor so you should feel comfortable living there. It has several powerful wards up to keep you safe from the dubious humans living there."
Here he shook his head with a sigh, "I still do not understand why you wish to move to a place that is the town with the highest crime rate in the world. I believed you wanted a peaceful life, not a life of always looking over your shoulder."
"I have family that lives there Grinlast, My cousin Bruce and his adoptive kids not to mention I feel like my magic is pulling me to the town. I need to see why my magic wants me to go there."
"Anyways, I don't mind living there and helping people it's just being controlled and stolen from that makes me want to get away from this part of the magical world."
Adriane explained as she placed the watch on Grinlast's desk and accepted the earrings he handed her. "The payment has already been taken from your vaults."
"Thanks, Grinlast." She spoke softly as she observed the earrings that sat in her hand.
The metal of the earrings was white gold, while the gems were her birthstone, rubies. Most people, including herself, would have gone with Emeralds to go with her eyes, but Adriane found that she loved these earrings more than she would have if they contained the green gem. The ruby signified that either Karlast or Grinlast had told the blacksmith that made the earrings that they were to use Rubies instead of any other gem.
She smiled as she put them in and felt comfort and love when feeling the small weight of the earrings on her ears. She looked back at Grinlast when he spoke up.
"The earrings are charmed to keep lower level spells, such as a stunner, from hitting you. They are also charmed so you can change the color of the gem inside whenever you wish, Karlast made sure of it considering your little hero outing."
Adriane smiled wider when hearing that, "Please send my thanks to Karlast."
The two of them spent a few more minutes talking before Adriane got down to business. "Alright, I've put this off long enough. Please have the newspapers start printing the truth on what has happened to me the last few years. Also you can finally take back the money that has been stolen from me by Dumbledore, Granger, Molly, Ronald, and Ginny Weasley."
"Please make sure you don't make the rest of the Weasley family suffer for what those three did, I'm very close friends with the Weasley twins."
She waited until Grinlast nodded and gestured for her to continue. "Also set aside five thousand Gallons for me to invest in the Weasley twins prank shop after they leave school, I know it will be a good investment and that they will pay it back."
Grinlast made a note of it before he looked up, "Anything else?"
She nodded in response, "Yes, please see if you can get me copies of the papers and let me know the reactions of people to the news, especially the reactions of those who have done me wrong."
"It will be a pleasure to let you know what happens Adriane." The small goblin spoke with a smirk showing off one of his sharp teeth.
"Thank you Grinlast, I should be going now if I want to get to Gotham on time. I just know I'm going to have a hard time dealing with the time differences." She laughed as she stood up. "May you find pleasure in your enemies' pain."
Hours later, in Gotham
Adriane walked down the streets of the dark and dreary city. She knew that she stood out with her wide smile, excitement, and awe on her face. Not many sane people would be excited to be in Gotham, the crime capital of the world, after all. She wasn't like normal people though, she was finally going to meet a part of her family that would love her.
She hummed as she walked down the street, ignoring the weird looks people shot her. Eventually, she snuck into an alley after making sure no one was there to call Winky to take her to her new home.
God, her new home. Just thinking that sentence made a tingle go through her body and made a smile show on her face. Winky popped her so she was just inside the gates where no one would see but where Adriane could get a good first look at the outside of her house.
The house itself was big, three stories tall. It was made of some Dark gray stone on the first floor, while the second and third were made from some light gray material she didn't recognize. The windows, doors, and roof were all black. Luckily it wasn't entirely black, there were some white accents around the place to break up the dreary building style.
It had a garden full of white, red, pink, yellow, and purple roses that were framed by small bushes acting as fences. There was a small rock path that went to a few different areas. One obviously let you right up to the front door, and another led you to a small fountain made out of white marble. The last one led to a small gazebo in the middle of the garden of roses. It had a black roof but other than that it was mostly white with a few purple trims.
Adriane relaxed as she smelt the fresh scent of roses and finally felt at home. She spent some time in the gardens just soaking everything in before she went inside. The first room she entered was the entryway. It had an oak coat rack for people to hang their coats up when coming inside.
The wood seemed to be made of mahogany, it was a deep rich red color that Adriane found she liked the sight of. The walls had some light lilac wallpaper up with some deep brown trimming on the top and bottom. There was an end table on one side of the room with two chairs next to each side. It had a lamp and a vase full of lilies on top.
She spent the rest of the day exploring her new home before she went to the master bedroom. The room had soft blue walls with a burgundy rug over another mahogany wood floor. There was a king-sized two-poster bed. The bedspread was an ocean blue, while the curtains hung up on it were a nice off-white color.
There was a nice window overlooking the front garden and two doors, one leading into the master bath and the other leading into the big walk-in closet that Adriane now had to fill. She shook her head and decided to go shopping for more clothes later, for now, she just had Winky bring Adriane her trunk before she grabbed some PJs and climbed into bed. This was the start of a new chapter in her life, and she couldn't wait to see what it would hold.
