What is necessary in a relationship
Some believe trust is upmost
For without that foundation
Everything else turns to toast
When one no longer believes
What the other one will say
There's nothing left there for either
They only see one who will betray
That often comes about
From one's selfish greed
They take what they want
They leave the other to bleed
It's about one's character
Their honor and pride
They don't need to abuse
Or behind others hide
Not everyone is fancy
Sophisticated or couth
What really matters is
If they speak the truth
