Scream V (2022) My Version

Chapter Five: The Drive Home

Richie drives his used Prius towards Woodsboro. Sam, next to him, crawling out of her skin. The two are talking. Sam was lucky to gotten time off. She also alerted the school to her family situation as well. She was excused from her studies as well. The two are in the car talking.

"So. Woodsboro. Why does that sound so familiar?" Richie asked.

"The Stab movies. You know, Ghostface? Based on actual events? (off his confused look)" Sam responds. "You've never seen Stab? Not even the one that came out last year?"

"I've never seen Gone with the Wind either, I don't consider it like a huge hole in my cinematic education-" Richie responded.

"Most of the Stab movies are based on things that really happened in my hometown." Sam said trying not reveal too much about the darkness that is Woodsboro. Richie looks at her, not liking where this is going.

"Define "things."" Richie asks.

"Things like a guy named Randy Meeks and his friend carved up a bunch of high school kids while wearing this Halloween ghost mask." Sam explained in a nutshell.

"You mean like in Halloween?" Richie asked.

"Not like in Halloween." Sam said shaking her head.

"It sounds a lot like Halloween-" Richie said.

"And every few years or so, some other idiot gets the bright idea to put on the mask, kill their friends, and get famous too. Last time was in 2011." Sam said. Richie stares at her a moment.

"So you grew up in a place that's not only famous for serial killers, but where copycats spring up every few years? And we're driving there voluntarily?" Richie asked.

"I gotta make sure Tara's okay. I gotta make sure my parents are ok as well." Sam said.

"And I gotta make sure we don't get sliced up by some lunatic who saw a Jason Vorhees movie and thought, "You know, this guy's got some solid ideas!" Richie said. He's trying to make her laugh. It's working.

"You want a Xanax?" Sam asks playfully.

"I would like all the Xanax, yes!" Richie responds teasingly. Sam chuckles at this. Richie looks at her. Do your parents know about us?" He asked.

"No." Sam said.

"Why not?" Richie asked.

"Well my dad is very protective of my sister and I and my mom well let's just say she thinks she knows who I should be dating." Sam explains.

"Uh-huh." Richie says not really knowing how to respond to that. "You know I'm down for whatever with you, right? We gotta go to serial killer central, we go to serial killer central." He said.

"You're sweet." Sam said smiling.

"Can I ask you one question? You have any idea who wearing that mask would want to kill your sister?" Richie asked. Sam looks out the window.

"No. Good question though? Why someone would want to do this." Sam responded not meeting his eyes. She doesn't know who'd wanna hurt her sister.

She has denied this but he insists. Especially since they keep having sex. Once they are finished, Liv removes herself from Vince's lap having achieved her climax.

"That was good babe." Vince said zipping up his pants. Liv doesn't say anything but fixes herself up. "Come on."

"What?" She asked annoyed.

"Admit it." Vince said smirking.

"Admit what?" She asked sliding her skirt down to her thighs.

"We make a hot couple." Vince said to him.

"If you say so." She said as Vince rolled his eyes.

"Why don't you wanna call what we have a coupling?" Vince said.

"Because we only fuck. We don't go on dates." Liv said to him.

"We can go on dates if you want." Vince said.

"You're not my type." Liv said.

"Bullshit?" Vince said climbing into the driver's seat. "I'm hot enough for a good fuck but I'm not boyfriend material? Give me a fuckin break." He said sounding offended.

"Look don't be mad. Some guys are great in the sack but make lousy boyfriends while others are ok in the sack but make great boyfriends." Liv explained.

"So you're looking for the perfect boyfriend? Someone who could be a great boyfriend and be able to fuck you senseless?" Vince asked.

"Well yes." Liv asked. Vince looked at her shocked.

"Do all girls think like that?" Vince asked.

"Most of us do." Liv said to him. Vince shakes his head.

"You need a ride or what?" Vince asked her. She spots a friend of her leaving school and decides to ride with her.

"No I'm good." She said climbing out of Vince's car with her back pack, shuts the door to the passenger side of the car and running to catch up with her friend.

"Bitch." Vince said starting the car and leaving the school parking lot.
