Outside onlooker and a discussion on things lost.

[ACSR: Little Wish]

With the meeting over, the two of them rode back up the elevator. Once they reached the top, the doors waited for a moment, probably to make sure no one noticed them who wasn't meant to.

After a handful of seconds though, they clicked and opened back to the Celestaquarium. Mitsuari and GV stepped out, the former almost buzzing. She now had manpower and extra funding, enough to put her plans into action.

In some way, it was just a really aggressive prank. At least that's how GV had interpreted the outline of the plan. Mitsuari wanted to hurt Shokuhou but she didn't want to kill her or anything like that. Whatever had happened in the past to give her a grudge against the level 5 wasn't enough to make her seek their life.

Whatever, if it was just that one mean "prank" and then she'd be done with it, GV didn't really have a complaint.

"Well," Mitsuari smiled at him "Want to go around the Celestaquarium, while we're here and all?"

GV raised an eyebrow at that "Do you have something you need of me while you go round?"

He was charging based on the hour after all. If she was just going around for fun because she had the tickets, he was going to charge her for it.

She frowned, annoyed "No, that's fine. I didn't have anything else dangerous planned for today."

"Then by your leave?" GV asked. Mitsuari gave a short nod and he headed back down to the exit without her. She could head around herself if she wanted.

Meanwhile... let's see. He didn't really have any other work he wanted to do today. On to the electronics shops then.

GV had picked up crafting again over the last month and a bit. He had been holding on to a pistol for a while but he still wanted to properly recreate Dart Leader.

The ultimate goal when building Dart Leader with QUILL was to make it as efficient as possible. Controlling Magnetic forces weren't that hard, he could magnatise his body if he had to. But focusing it down into a gun took a lot of work to direct his power "just so" to produce the desired effects.

He trawled the hobby shops throughout the city when he had free time. He already had a good collection of parts at home but he was always looking for something to improve it just a little bit.

His current goal was a rework of the placeholder ammo. The original ammo was hard to replicate in mass without specific expensive metals so he was looking for something else. The metals would have to be mixed with the strands of hair to produce his tagging darts.

As he thought about the project, he felt a spark of lightning from somewhere nearby and went to investigate.

[ACMI: Then Once More]

Misaka was standing at the bottom of a set of stairs when he reached the source of the lightning. She'd probably released it.

"Hey."

Misaka blinked and turned.

"Oh, GV." Misaka noted looking up "Is Joule okay?"

GV nodded "She hasn't gotten worse at least. They're still looking into it."

Misaka was quiet for a moment before she looked up "It reminds me of everything that went on with Haruue and the Poltergeist incident."

GV didn't really have anything to say to that directly but he nodded "Yes, I'm worried to."

The two of them were in silence for a moment before GV spoke up again "I felt some charge from over here while I was shoping, what happened?"

"Touma." Misaka said, a note of anger in her voice.

"What did he do?" GV asked the question he suspected she wanted him to.

Misaka's face twisted into an angry smirk.

"Oh, lots of things." She complained "The most recent of which being that his face were stuffed between a young woman's cleavage."

"...In public?"

Misaka sighed "Yes, right there." She pointed "But they ran off when I approached."

GV nodded along for a moment before he caught something "They ran off, together?"

"Yes!" An exasperated sigh slipped out "And I don't even know the woman, I don't think I've ever seen her before."

"So she wasn't one of the ones who got involved with Endymion?"

"Nope." Misaka groaned "Brown hair that went down to her shoulders, brown eyes. Her clothes were the sort of thing in fashion right now."

...GV was drawing a blank too. Best to take her mind off it.

"Okay, that was the most recent." GV prompted "Before that?"

"An old guy kicked a ball at Touma, this was just before the later thing. He could have badly hurt him. When I went to call them out on it, they all scattered really quickly and I can't find the old guy anymore."

GV nodded again. There wasn't much he could do on that front but...

"And before that?"

Misaka pursed her mouth for a moment before answering "Back... three days ago or so I got a phone call. Touma wanted to know if there was anything going on in a random place called Avignon."

"Three days..." GV thought back "You mean the day that all the news could talk about was the religious group that was in Avignon and WMDs?"

"Yep." Misaka nodded "So I thought he might have somehow left Academy city. But then his phone signal apparently started to break up so he couldn't hear me. I still heard what was going on through his phone though. There was an explosion of some sort then Touma was talking with some people and I couldn't make out much of it but one of the voices began talking about Touma having forgotten something."

She took a breath, getting to the point.

"Touma basically confirmed it to the other speaker who wondered why he'd been hiding it."

After a moment, it clicked for GV.

"When did he lose his memory?"

Misaka smiled softly "Exactly. The speaker said something about Touma's power, that he'd forgotten the details of how it worked. If so, when did he lose his memories? After the chaos at the end of September? Around the Daihase? After the fight with Accelerator? He didn't seem very strange after any of them did he?"

GV thought about it. He'd first met Touma during the Sister incident, at any time had he seemed strange? Lets see... On the 3rd of September he had remembered GV's introduction. On the eighth... he'd acted strange but had remembered GV's name as Genki which meant he remembered their meeting. He even remembered the name as far forward as Daihase.

"We should talk to him." GV agreed "But I think if he lost his memory at any time, it was before I met him. At least, I hope so."

Misaka nodded slowly at that "Okay, yeah. I hope so to."

End of chapter.

And now I have to wrestle the story kicking and screaming so I can put GV into this arc. Hopefully it won't be too messy.

I normally don't note guest reviews (If you want a quick reply, use an account and I can reply quickly) but someone asked about my thoughts on GUNVOLT RECORDS Cychronicle. I probably won't buy it, mostly because I don't like playing rhythm games that much. I played Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memories but that was because it had story content for the series. I don't think Cychronicle will have any. I hope.

I like the songs, but I'd just watch them on youtube.
