Inside of the Earth 688 Brock's sanctuary, Detective Loki and Eddie Brock fought off Knull. "Not you, get back here, where you belong!" Knull sent more dark tendrils to snatch Healer back, but Loki created twin daggers of piercing light and severed them all before they could reach him! "You ungrateful wretch! After I gave you the honor of being with your god after all of your betrayals, you leave me for him still!?"
"Without a moment's hesitation, bitch!"
"Foolish offspring, why choose that nothing over me? Why that blinding light over beautiful darkness? Darkness is our home."
"Easy: darkness is boring, dull, a big bunch of emptiness. We might be accustomeddd to it, but that darkness hurt my Lokiii... and... Loki is my light… you may be blind to him, but to me, he is a beacon, lighting my way to the new and exciting, to life!" As Healer spoke, he helped Loki ward off Knull's tendrils.
"Healer, now that your Loki's hands are repaired, you must leave his body for the remainder of this fight!" The god of light telepathically advised. "The darkness in you weakens Loki's light magic, and only if you let him fight alone will that magic once again be powerful enough to destroy Knull's body and finish him for good, even without the villain possessing your added healing boost!"
"And risk him taking me again? I don't think sooo! You saw how obsessed he is with me!"
"You will be safe with Dylan protecting you, and if you need to bond to feel safe, either of the Thors could keep you from harm in addition."
"No! I know Dylan is powerful, but I will bond with no one but Lokiii!"
"It is only fo-"
"ONLY LOKI!!!" Healer repeated.
"...Then you can join Venom and remain without a form until the battle is over, but the sooner you do, the quicker your host can win, and the sooner you can rejoin him."
"But- no, I just rebonded with him! I won't leave him again! We do not weaken each other: our bonds only make us stronger!" Healer turned back to Knull. "He may weaken you, but he strengthens me, he completes me, he illuminates me and shows me things… reveals beautiful things in me I did not know I possessed… like these poetic words I am speaking nowww. I know you did not give me the ability to speak poetry, so I know it came from Loki. Yesss, I have learned so much from him, I cannot even imagine being a part of someone else anymore, especially you, a creepy ooold stalker. That is why, no matter what you do to me, Loki and I will forever be a part of each other, and I will never truly leave him!"
Knull smirked and shook his head. "My naive child, if I can't convince you or take you by force, I will just change your mind for you. Even outside of my body, you are now officially a member of the hive. Welcome."
"What are you-" Healer started before his eyes turned red and began to swirl. He started to mumble the chant the cult members had spoken during their ceremony, translating to "God is coming." He reluctantly released himself from Loki's body, latching onto Knull's hand, but Loki pulled him backward with his telekinesis!
"Dylan!" Loki called.
"On it!" The boy reached out, and Healer's eyes alternated back and forth between bright red and blue, until they suddenly settled on a bluish green.
Knull called Malice and Carnage and the strongest members of his cult, along with more dragons, to attack Dylan, causing Eddie and the Thors to help him fight them off!
"NO! I am in control now!" Healer asserted, but Knull yanked him back, overpowering Loki's magic, and put Healer on like a suit around himself!
"Nevermore. I'll make sure you never reunite with him; you'll die before you join that pitiful host of yours ever again!" Knull threatened. "You were made for me, by me, and you only serve me!" He turned to Loki, who shook his head, a fierce glare piercing through them. "And now, you and I will kill your former host together!"
Knull sent a flurry of Necroswords at Loki, who leapt over one and jumped on top of another, somersaulting and ducking out of the way of oncoming swords and flipping around the ones he couldn't avoid with kicks and the curved horns of his helmet! He gradually moved upward as well, pulling himself with his telekinesis to run on the ceiling, occasionally stopping for a moment in one spot to shield himself with one hand and make a hidden motion with his other hand, toward the same spots he rested on.
As the Brocks and Thors mowed down Knull's army together, they noticed the Symbiotes recoil as they were blasted away with a portable MRI machine!
"Dan!?" Anne exclaimed. "How did you find us?"
"I followed the dragons, it just took a lot longer to get here by car! You alright, Anne, Dylan, Eddie?"
"Yeah, we're hanging in there!"
"We'll do more than that!" Dan promised, blasting a group away from Anne as she kicked them away.
"Ooh, I like this one." Sleeper said before he latched onto Dan.
"No, get off!"
"Dan, it's okay, he's on our side!" Eddie explained.
"Plus, you're a guy, so he can't get you pregnant." Venom added, sticking his head out of Red Thor's chest.
Dan gulped, resisting the urge to blast the Symbiote away. "I really hate all this alien stuff, but... at least there are good ones. Alright, let's kick some symbiotic butt!"
Dylan turned back to Eddie. "We'll keep these guys busy! Go on, Dad, show Knull who's boss!"
"Right!"
While Anne, Dan, and Dylan kept the dragons busy, Eddie Brock and the Thors surrounded Knull, trying to suck him into a vortex of light, while Red Thor's lightning erupted up from the vortex's center! One of the lightning bolts struck Knull, and he fell downward, but he twirled his sword, and just before making contact with the vortex, he escaped in his own!
Whirling around at breakneck speed, he blew his opponents back, including Loki, and he pinned the Jotun-Asgardian prince with All-Black right through his stomach before he could counter!
"Your eternal death takes you at last." Knull placed his hand in Loki's wound, causing him to grimace, and prepared to send more excruciating darkness surging through his body, but instead of black, a green energy flowed through Loki, and he felt his newest wound begin to heal. "This- it can't- he can't-"
"Lokiii, light him up NOWWW!" He heard his Symbiote's voice command. Loki concentrated while Knull tried stabbing him again, but the first wound closed up while the others healed themselves. A beam of light from Loki's tongue pierced Knull through the right side of his chest as Knull leaned to his left at the last moment, and he flew off of Loki.
To their astonishment, Loki had recovered completely now, while Knull's wound didn't heal at all!
"You obstinate little-"
"Like I said, bitch, I'm in control now!" Healer reiterated. "Ha, I think I am the god of healing; at least I have learned to screw around with yours in your body! And with me blocking your healing, you egomaniacal, depression-inducing, filet-of-dick sandwich, you will be begging me to get out of your body!"
Loki grinned. "You never cease to amaze me." He then signaled the others and teleported Red Thor behind Knull, aiming an electrified punch at Knull's back, but he backflipped over him and stabbed with his blade. However, the sword impaled an illusion, and the hidden Red Thor, now beneath Knull's feet, sweeped Knull's feet out from under him, and the two Thors hurled him into a spot on the ceiling together!
Then Eddie blasted him further upward, though when Knull reached the ceiling, there was no crash: he disappeared through an invisible Time Door, reappearing in an uninhabited galaxy, where Loki and Eddie met him and bound him in chains of light before he could take a portal back to Earth.
"Healer, are you prepared?"
"Just finish himmm, Loki! I will make sure he does not recoverrr!"
"I will, but if you think for one millisecond that either of us is going to sacrifice ourselves and die with him, you haven't thought things quite through."
"So you do have a plan!"
Loki nodded as Party Thor joined them and held one end of the chains for him. Loki breathed his deepest and focused, reigniting the nuclear fusion of the enormous star in the distance. Knull struggled, trying to move his sword, but this time, he was the one bound too tightly to move!
"Fools, you won't survive a blast like this, and you cannot destroy what I am! I am the darkness and the void: I am immortal!"
"Would you like to test that?" Loki asked with a smirk, finishing his attack preparations until the reaction went off. "Lysgud, now!" The god of light shielded Eddie, Loki, and Party Thor with light barriers just after he scooped up Healer, separating him from Knull and placing him on Loki's shoulder! They all braced for the surge of energy to approach, and Knull shrieked in agony as the light seared him to the bone and thoroughly inward! Even as his body was being obliterated, tissue by tissue, he still fought to free himself from the chains that held him and slay his enemies, but Eddie and Thor didn't give him an inch, and it was all for naught as his body began to disintegrate. The Superluminous Supernova Surge destroyed every cell of Knull's body, when he was finished, the heroes all returned to Earth through Loki's previously invisible Time Door.
"Eddie!" His family and friends rushed to him, with Dylan jumping into his father's arms in an emotional embrace. "Dad, you're okay!"
"Yeah, you were amazing, Dylan!"
"Is that monster really dead?" Dan asked.
"Yeah."
"For good? He's not gonna regenerate?" Anne pressed.
"He's gone for good." The god of light replied. "You are all safe; my work here is done."
"Then MOVE!" Venom ordered, and the deity exited Eddie's body as Venom promptly took his place.
Then Anne and Dan hugged Dylan and Eddie.
"Dylan, we're so proud of you!" His mother told him.
"Yeah, it's been a crazy day for you, huh?" Dan added. "You're tough like your dad!"
"Oh, he's way tougher than me!" Eddie corrected.
"Our son is the best!" Venom agreed.
"Healer, what are you doing?" Detective Loki wondered as the Symbiote slunk around him, bouncing off of his skin. He furrowed his brow. "Is something wrong?"
"Something is definitely wrong! I can't- rrrgh! I can't bond with you! What in the-" Healer spewed out more Klyntarian curse words. "WHY!?"
"I- hm. Did Knull do something to you, when he bonded with you the second time?" Loki faced Eddie's two partners. "Venom, Sleeper, could either of you see if there's something wrong with Healer? He's having a bit of trouble rebonding with me."
"He is? That's weird, let me see." Venom offered, peeking out of Eddie's chest to study him. "What? Your DNA is all screwed up!"
"It's very reminiscent of Knull: it would seem that he changed your molecular biology when you were inside of him, so that you can't bond with anyone but him." The god of light assessed.
"Can you change it back?"
"Unfortunately not: since my powers are opposite his, my light will do more harm than good to one of his creations. Dylan?"
"You want me to change his DNA?" The boy asked incredulously. "How would I do that?" No one had an answer this time, until Healer spoke.
"Give it a tryyy, kid. You've done some pretty awesome stuff today already, like reuniting me and my Loki! I, uh, kinda misjudged you before, but you have the power to do it, I think!"
"Uh, alright, I'll try." Dylan linked himself back to the hive, where he found Healer's codex.
"Let me see if I can help you, Brother." Sleeper offered.
"What?"
"Oh, right, I'm Venom's second born son, Sleeper."
"I HAVE ANOTHER SON!?"
"Yeah, Dad! Nice to meet you too."
"Hm. A lot nicer than the red one."
"Yep, you left him on the other Earth, the one with the alien rock collector." Eddie explained.
"Right, and the Spiderman."
Dylan sighed. "Sorry, I- I have no idea how to do this. I think- well, so far, my powers just hurt bad Symbiotes or control them, not change them, and I don't have healing powers. Sorry, Healer."
"Then I am back where I started." Healer moped, his voice broken. "I am back in my cage... forever."
