MY HERO ACADEMIA: Second Years
Episode 01: Symbols of Peace

~ Midoriya Residence - Early Morning - Four Days Later ~

It was a sunny day over the skies of Japan, the country with an incredibly low criminal rate thanks to the newest generation of Pro Heroes graduated from U.A. High. As many were either starting their day or were still getting ready, the Midoriya family was hosting a "traditional" breakfast celebration with the likes of their friends, married couple Kaminari and Jiro, after successfully putting away Eruptor days prior. Besides Izuku and his wife, Ochaco, their home was also home for the likes of Inko, Izuku's mother, and their children. They occasionally received visits from Ochaco's parents as well, but this was more so a home truly built for anyone named "Midoriya", including the likes of their adopted child. While the likes of Kaminari and Jiro were guests, there was a third invited to enjoy breakfast with them. It was Toshinori Yagi, the true name of the retired "All Might", Izuku's teacher, guardian, childhood idol and predecessor of One For All. Izuku approached Toshinori's side and set down a plate with strawberry topped pancakes in front of him. He glimpsed at the servings before chuckling to himself while turning to his successor.

"I never thought I'd see the day that my student would invite me for breakfast." he teased "Times really HAVE changed, haven't they…Symbol of Peace?" Izuku nervously chuckled, waving his hand casually.

"C-Come on, All Mig-Toshinori. Hearing you saying that only makes it seem more awkward than it needs to be." he said, making Toshinori laugh more, joined in by Kaminari and Jiro seated across from them.

"You mean like you still using my old Hero name when you address me?! Ha ha ha! Maybe I ought to keep calling you "Young Midoriya" then! Ha ha ha!" he retorted with extreme gusto. Izuku groaned before slapping his hand over his face. At the oven top, Ochaco and Inko couldn't help but laugh as well. While Ochaco was dressed in more casual clothing while cooking, Inko offering to help her, she sported a "Deku Inspired" baby carrier with their son sleeping quietly against her.

"I CAN'T help but laugh whenever those two get together. All Might WAS right. Deku's so much like him it's uncanny." Ochaco said. Inko chuckled before hearing the child cooing, turning to see him starting to radiate a faint but beautiful shine from his body.

"Ochaco…sweetie. Has Hiro been sleeping all right? I wouldn't know anything about raising a baby with a Quirk like yours, but I can't help but feel he's keeping himself awake." Inko asked. Ochaco softly smiled, setting down her spatula before looking over her shoulder.

"Thanks for the concern, mom, but…he can pretty much sleep through anything. In fact, I like to think…he only glows in his sleep when he's dreaming of something good." Ochaco replied.

Hiro Midoriya - Age: 7 months
Quirk: Shining Light
This little tyke is Izuku and Ochaco's son that came into the world not too long ago. But to his parent's total surprise, it's starting to look like he's the reincarnation of the Shining Child, the human child with the first ever recorded Quirk! Wowza!

Jiro watched Hiro continuing to glow before it eventually faded away, Kaminari looking over after.

"You know something, Uraraka? You really ARE the luckiest girl. Not only are you married to the "Symbol of Peace"…" she said, teasingly glimpsing at the embarrassed Izuku "But you must have the most well behaved toddler I think I ever saw." Kaminari put his arm over her shoulder, pulling her towards him.

"Aww…come on, honey. Don't say that. You know that our kids ain't that bad, right?" he asked, Jiro looking away with a slight blush.

"O-Of course not. But…honestly, Denki. Even YOU must remember how much a pain they were when they were no more than newborns. The amount of time they cried….YEEESH." she said, shivering as she thought back to the nights of twin voices crying. Kaminari lightly glanced away, nodding when the memories soon came back to him.

"Well, I suppose that's what ALL parents must have to bear when it comes to raising twins." Toshinori said "But I'd have to agree with your husband. You're doing a great job when it comes to raising Soma and Rei…at least, that's how well behaved they are whenever I see them." Kaminari chuckled and Jiro blushed slightly more, twittling with her ears.

"Y-Yeah. Thanks, All Might…" she muttered quietly. Just then, a yawn could be heard coming from nearby. Recognizing the voice, Izuku and Ochaco's eyes both turned to see a young adult Eri walking in while scratching her stomach in a daze. She was seen walking out in her pajamas, a large shirt inspired by Izuku's old costume and pink leggings with hearts. As she grew up, the small bump of a horn that always grew had moved slightly closer to the center of her forehead.

"Morning…already?" she asked in a daze.

Eri Midoriya - Hero Name: Doctor Unicorn
Quirk: Rewind
An orphaned child kept in the care of U.A. until Izuku and Ochaco became her adoptive parents. While attending classes at U.A's new college branch, she already has her own provisional license. Her Quirk? She can rewind anything she touches, the amount of energy displayed thanks to a horn on her forehead.

Ochaco chuckled while Eri took a seat near All Might and her father.

"Someone must've been up late studying again." Ochaco said "Good morning, Eri." Eri yawned once more as Izuku offered her a glass of milk.

"No. It's not that. I went to bed early last night. But…I had a really weird dream. In it, I using my Quirk to treat Uncle Might until…he suddenly turned into a monkey." she said, taking a sip. Hearing that caused Izuku and Toshinori to simultaneously spit out their drinks In Toshinori's head, Eri's dream played out. It ended with "monkey" All Might, dressed in his Hero costume, scratching his butt.

"Y-You don't say?" Toshinori asked, slowly turning towards her. Realizing he was present, Eri suddenly gasped.

"Uncle Might?! W-When…How?! Uhhh…I-I'm so sorry! Please don't be upset! It was just a dream! I-I wouldn't do that to you!" she exclaimed, flailing her arms. But she came to a stop when Toshinori laughed.

"Don't worry, Eri. I'm only teasing you. I know that, with your care and services, I'm able to enjoy my retirement in as much comfort as I can get." he said. Eri lightly smiled, comforted by Izuku's hand.

"Oh. By the way, how has your old wound been? Has it made any improvements?" she asked. As they talked, Izuku and Ochaco glimpsed at one another and smiled.

~ Later That Day… ~

After breakfast, everyone said their goodbyes to retire to their other plans with the likes of Izuku and Kaminari going on patrol of the city as Pros. But before Izuku would start work, he was accompanied by Toshinori in visiting a newly built graveyard for honoring the lost Pro Heroes of years past. By each grave was a bust of the Hero's profile whose name was written upon it. Toshinori and Izuku each knelt down and offered prayers to a pair of graves that are all too familiar to them, the ones for Nighteye and Gran Torino, the latter passing because of old age. After offering their respects, Izuku watered the flowers left at Torino's stone.

"All Might?" he asked quietly, Toshinori looking his way "Do you think…Gran Torino is proud of me? The "me" that is the Symbol of Peace?" Toshinori remained dead silent, looking on at Izuku's nervous expression. But before he knew it, his mentor put his hand on his shoulder.

"We ALL are proud of you, Midoriya. You have become a Hero worthy of not only One For All, but a Hero worthy of their respect. Don't ever downplay the things you have done for the sake of peace. If not for you, Eri wouldn't be freed from Chisaki…and Nighteye's preminition would've came true." Toshinori explained "Even if you think you're only being admired and thanked because of your power, don't forget that even the past wielders…the ones inside of One For All…chose to follow you in the darkest of times. If someone like you even earned their respect, I think it's safe to say you have nothing to worry about." Izuku lightly smiled.

"And I know, with one hundred percent certainty, that I found the perfect Quirkless fanboy to inherit the power I once held…to carry it on into the future." he continued "As long as you keep smiling and stick true to your beliefs, I don't think ANYTHING can stop you. Remember those words…pass 'em onto your successor should the day come…even if I'm long gone by then." Izuku chuckled afterwards, wiping a few tears from the corner of his eye.

"Even now, you never stop being the Hero I admired. Thanks." he said. Toshinori nodded as they rose together.

"All right then. I think I'll head back to the retirement home and see what's good. If it gets too boring, maybe we can get together later for lunch. MY treat this time…of course." he offered. The two faced one another, grinning from ear to ear, before lightly fist bumping the other. Just then, Izuku noticed something in the distance that caught his eye. It looked like a little kid sitting by himself on the green field opposite of the graveyard with his legs tucked in as he stared into the sky.

"Something up, Midoriya?" Toshinori asked.

"Do you see that little boy over there? The one sitting by himself?" he asked, turning his gaze "It seems way too early for someone his age to be out by himself, don't you think?" Toshinori quickly noticed the boy as well, commenting that he was onto something as most kids were either at school right now or at least were with their parents. While they made their way over, a closer look revealed the child by himself was the same blond haired boy that escaped the offshore laboratory, now wearing only a raggy white shirt. His stomach grumbled loudly, surprising him whenever it made noise and attempted to cross his arms to silence it.

"I…I know I'm hungry…but…the…other kids matter more…my little bro…as well." he muttered "But…since I don't have any "money", it's not like I can just waltz into a store and buy food. Ugh…me and my big mouth." With a hefty sigh, the boy flopped onto his back and decided to just look up at the clouds passing by overhead.

"At least…my brother and I can withstand being hungry longer…given what we are." he thought as he rose his hand to the sky. Just then, his vision of the sky was clouded when Izuku leaned over him.

"Excuse me, young man? Do you need help?" he asked. The two stayed silent, looking on at one another before the child freaked out and rose in a panic, bonking his forehead against Izuku's. Toshinori soon arrived as the two were rubbing the points of impact.

"Owowowowowow!" the child groaned.

"Sorry about that. I…didn't mean to startle you." Izuku apologized.

"N-No. It's…okay." he replied "It's just….I almost thought I was…looking in a mirror." Toshinori watched from the side as Izuku and the boy's eyes slowly looked on at each other. The child's bright blue eyes seemed to glisten as vast as the sky while a few freckles lined themselves across his face.

"You know? He DOES have a point, Midoriya. Even though you have your differences, anyone could mistake this young man to be your son." he said. The child soon glanced to Toshinori and gasped again.

"W-Whoa! Mister! Y-You have the same hair as me!" he shouted.

"Hmm?" Toshinori asked, chuckling afterwards "I wouldn't be too surprised about that kiddo. Blue eyed people paired with blond hair isn't exactly a rare pairing." Izuku crouched down to the kid's eye level.

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Izuku Midoriya, but you might've heard of the Hero known as "Deku", the Symbol of Peace, perhaps?" he asked "And this is Toshinori…a good friend of mine. What's your name?" The child remained quiet, unsure whether to speak or not. He continued to glimpse at Izuku while occasionally looking around him. It didn't take long for Izuku to see the worry in his gaze.

"Ooh. Sorry. If…I'm making you nervous, I'm sorry. You probably were told to not talk to strangers by your parents before…but it's all right to talk to me." he continued "I'm one of the city's Heroes, meaning I work similarly to the police. It's okay to open up to me…especially if something is bothering you." The boy remained quiet for a little bit more before deciding to answer him.

"W-Well…it's not that I don't want to tell you. It's just…my brother and me…we weren't given any names…same goes for "parents". If anything, we were just called "worthless trash"." he replied. Izuku and Toshinori gasped.

"Worthless…" Izuku muttered.

"Trash?" Toshinori finished. The boy nodded.

"Y-Yeah. As it stands, we don't really have our own names. The other kids we stick by often just call us "Blondie" and "White Hair"." he explained. The two glimpsed at each other, confusion riddled on their faces. Just then, Izuku extended a hand towards him.

"All right then. Would you mind…if I gave you one?" he asked "Got to call you something if we're going to get to know each other." The boy's eyes soon lit up, pupils quivering slightly.

"A-Are you sure?" he asked, Izuku replying with a nod.

"Yeah. As long as you don't mind what I choose." he said. As they talked, the boys were not aware of a shady individual watching from the shade of a nearby tree. He was dressed in a large overcoat with a ski mask covering his face and hand slipped into his pocket, gun at the ready. He took one glimpse at Toshinori from behind, believing him an easy victim to pickpocket. Trying to remain silent and out of sight, the man began to quietly move into shooting position with gun pointed out. However, the boy's eyes soon caught notice and gasped.

"M-MISTER! LOOK OUT!" he screamed. Toshinori and Izuku gasped as they quickly turned back and saw the armed thug.

"Tch. Damn it. Looks like they saw me." he spited. He took aim of Toshinori's forehead and readied his finger to squeeze the trigger. But, before he had a chance to shoot, the child quickly brought his hand out and let out a sudden blast of immense wind pressure with just a flick of his finger. The output caught the thug completely offguard and, while causing him to lose his gun, sent him flying backward before he collided against the backside of a nearby metla pole. The impact quickly caused him to pass out, head conked to the side. Izuku and Toshinori were left utterly speechless not by what had just happened, but more so because of the incredible power he displayed. To Izuku, the child's attack was very similar to his early days of trying to harness control of One For All.

"T-That power! It…It COULDN'T be…" Toshinori thought.

"It…It looked just the same as…One For All?" Izuku's thoughts continued. Suddenly, a sharp pain came over the boy as he drew back his hand and blew against his fingers feverently. However, unlike when Izuku had harmed his body because of abusing his Quirk, his fingers were not damaged to the same degree.

"Who IS this kid? And…why does he have…One For All?" Izuku muttered.
