Chapter 20
Back to School
Soon it was the end of the internships. Uwabami said goodbye to the girls as they head to the train station to head to the school. Freya was excited to see her father and be back with Bakugo. He practically called every night to complain or talk of their days. Bakugo missed her and just didn't admit it.
Yaoyorozu and Freya walked towards the school talking about their week. They gotten close and were becoming good friends. Yaoyorozu had invited her for dinner with her parents that night. Freya had said yes.
"Brat!" Freya and Yaoyorozu turned to see Bakugo storming towards them.
"His hair is still flat?" Yaoyorozu said with a laugh.
"Yes. He can't get it back to its old way." Freya said. Bakugo came up to the girls to see them giggling.
"This is not funny." Bakugo said.
"I'll see you in class, Freya." Yaoyorozu said as she went ahead. Freya grabbed Bakugo's hand and they walked into the building.
"I like your new hair." Freya said with a smirk. Bakugo growled.
"Thanks to you. I'm getting shit from the extras." Bakugo said. Freya pressed a kiss to Bakugo's check. Bakugo blushed.
"I like your hair both ways. Just ignore them." Freya suggested. Bakugo just grumbled as they walk into Class 1-A. Kirishima and Sero looked up as they entered and started laughing.
"Holy crap! What the heck, Bakugo? I thought you have it gone by now." Both said. Bakugo had a vein about to pop as Freya went to talk to Jiro and Mina.
"So that's the hair that Best Jeanest gave him." Mina said with a giggle. Jiro was sniggering.
"Stop laughing! My hair's gotten used to this and I can't get it back the right way." Bakugo growled. He was shaking with anger as Sero and Kirishima were still laughing. "Did you not hear me? I'll kill you both!"
"I'd like to see ya try, pretty boy." Sero said. Freya, Jiro, and Mina started laughing as Bakugo's hair popped back up in its spikey way.
"What'd you call me?!" Bakugo said.
"Now it's normal." Freya said as Kirishima and Sero laughed harder.
"Awesome! You got to face actual villains? I'm super jealous!" Mina said as Jiro told her about her internships.
"Well, I didn't fight. All I did was help people evacuate and provide logistical support.
"But it still sounds like so much fun." Freya said.
"I spent basically the whole-time training and cleaning the ship deck. Though, there was this one day we caught a bunch of drug smugglers." Tsu said.
"Okay, that's cool!" Jiro, Freya, and Mina said.
"What about you, Ochaco?" Freya asked, looking at Uraraka. "How was your week?" There was an auroru around Uraraka as she stood.
"I'd say that it was very enlightening." Uraraka said and started punching the air.
"I think she found her fighting spirit." Mina said.
"Yeah, that battle hero must have been something else." Jiro said.
"After one week she's like a totally different person." Kaminari said.
"Freya. A little help here!" Sero called. Freya looked and saw Bakugo had Kirishima and Sero by the shirts. Freya sighed.
"You provoked him. You're on your own." Freya said. Bakugo sent her a smirk. "Just don't kill them, Bakugo." Bakugo rolled his eyes.
"Different? Don't be fooled, Kaminari. All women are demons at heart." Mineta said. Bakugo wondered what happened to the little pervert. He looked terrified.
"Now, if you wanna talk about the ones who really changed, it was those three." Kaminari said. Freya looked at Izuku, Todoroki, and Iida. Freya heard they had encountered the Hero Killer Stain and Endeavor had saved them.
"Oh, yeah! The Hero Killer!" Sero said, pointing at the two.
"Glad you guys made it back alive. Seriously." Kirishima said.
"I worried about you, too." Yaoyorozu said.
"You were lucky Endeavor showed up and saved you guys." Seto said.
"So cool! Just what I'd expect from the Number 2 hero!" Hagakure said. Todoroki looked down.
"Yeah, that's right. He saved us." Todoroki said. Freya saw Kirishima and Sero struggling as Bakugo now had them in a headlock. Freya moved away as the others talked to the three.
"Bakugo let them go before you strangle them." Freya said. Bakugo knew she do something if he didn't.
"Fine." Bakugo said, dropping the two to the floor. Kirishima and Sero coughed.
"Thank you." Freya said, hugging him.
"Tch." Bakugo said as he hugged her back and kissed a kiss to her forehead.
"Class is about to start. Everyone, please take your seats!" Iida called. Everyone sat down in their seats. The classes went on and lunch came around.
"Brat. Let's eat outside." Bakugo said as she grabbed her tray of food.
"We'll..." Kirishima said. Bakugo shot him a death glare. "Never mind." Bakugo and Freya go and sit under one of the trees. They had finished eating and Freya was sitting in front of Bakugo leaning against his chest. He had his arms wrapped around her
"So, you won't be walking with me today?" Bakugo said.
"No. Yaoyorozu invited me to dinner. I'll call you after the dinner." Freya said. Bakugo sighed.
"Can't I get you alone to myself." Bakugo complained.
"You got it right now. I got friends with others and want to spend time with them." Freya said. Bakugo rolled his eyes. "You got Kirishima."
"Shitty Head is on my shit list along with Sero. Your about to be on it if you pull something like you did when you saw my hair." Bakugo said.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Freya said, getting up and grabbing her tray.
"Brat! Get back here!" Bakugo shouted as Freya ran for the doors. Freya's laughter filled the air as Bakugo caught her and started tickling her.
"I give! I'm sorry for sending the pic!" Freya said as she tried to catch her breath.
"Good." Bakugo said as he pulled her body against his and kissed her. She wrapped her arms around him and returned the kiss. Both missed each other during the internships.
Later at Field Gamma. All Might stood in front of his students. Freya stood in between Bakugo and Kirishima as they all wear their hero costumes.
"I am here. Hope you're ready to return to our lessons. Today it's Hero Basic Training. Feels like I haven't seen you in awhile. Welcome back. Now then. Listen carefully for what's in store. We're going to be conducting a little race. Take everything you've learned from your internships and apply it to this rescue training." All Might said. Iida's hand shot up.
"If it's rescue training, then shouldn't we be at the USJ instead?" Iida said. Freya noticed the Izuku was freaking out that All Might was there.
"He's at it again." Freya whispered.
"Tch. Stupid nerd." Bakugo said.
"Ah, that facility specializes in disasters. As I said earlier, this is a race. So prepare. You're about to step into Field Gamma! Inside, is an area full of factories that form an intricate labyrinth, so good luck finding your way around. You'll be competing in groups of five but one group will have 6. Each person starts from a different location on the outskirts of the model city. I'll send a distress signal, and you do what you must to rescue me. Whoever finds me first wins!" All Might said. He turns and looks at Bakugo. "But try to keep the property damage to a bare minimum, please." Freya and Kirishima had to snigger as All Might points at Bakugo. Bakugo didn't look happy.
"Why're you pointing at me?" Bakugo growled.
Freya was in the first group with Deku, Sero, Ojiro, and Mina.
"Alright First group, get in your places. Freya stood on one of the pipes where she was placed. The rest of the class was on a platform to watch on the Tv.
"Iida hasn't completely recovered yet, right? He should sit this one out." Kaminari said.
"Man, everyone in this group has good mobility." Kirishima said.
"Huh. I'd say Midoriya is at a heavy disadvantage against those five." Yaoyorozu said.
"That's what I think. Moving around quickly isn't really one of his strong suits, that's for sure." Jiro said.
"And whenever he uses his powers, he always gets badly injured." Yaoyorozu said. Kirishima looked at everyone.
"Who's your pick? I'm betting on Sero." Kirishima said.
"Oh, yeah? I got odds on Ojiro." Kaminari said.
"I choose Ashido. Because she's got a super athletic body." Mineta said.
"I know Deku will be last. But my bets are on Freya." Bakugo said.
"Of course they are since you two are dating." Kaminari said, nudging Bakugo. Bakugo shoved Kaminari.
"Shut up, Sparky." Bakugo growled.
"Even if he's still recovering, I think Iida's got this one." Uraraka said. Tsu nodded in agreement.
"Is everyone ready? Begin!" All Might yelled. Freya's hands glowed and she made force steps to get through the air. Freya got up in the air. She scanned the area and gasped. Izuku was moving through the air and was glowing green. He was using the pipes for support. Freya smiled.
"He discovered more to his quirk even if his moves almost look similar to Bakugo's." Freya whispered with a smirk on her face.
'Maybe its a good thing I'm going to Yaoyorozu for dinner. Bakugo is gonna be pissed.' Freya thought. Izuku slips on a pipe.
"Deku!" Freya called and she caught him with a step. Izuku looked up and smiled. A buzzer comes and they meet on a tower.
"And it's over!" All Might said. He holds up a belt. "Thanks, hero! And congratulations!" Sero had found All Might. Freya stood leaning against the the railing.
"Yay." Sero said.
"Congratulations, Sero." Freya said.
"Thanks, Freya." Sero said.
"Young Sero may have come in first, but compared to the start of the year, you all showed some incredible improvements. Keep working and preparing for your upcoming final exams." All Might said.
"Sir." Everyone said.
"Group One leave the field. You're up, Group Two." All Might said. Everything went well with the other groups and Freya didn't miss the pissed off look on Bakugo's face. Freya stayed with Izuku and Mina.
Afterwards. Freya and Yaoyorozu left.
"I was surprised with Izuku. Guess he's still learning with his Quirk." Yaoyorozu said.
"He is. I'm glad he's figuring ways not to break his body." Freya said.
"Hope you like tea. Mother and father want to meet you." Yaoyorozu said. Freya and Yaoyorozu head away from the school.
AN: Next is the final exams. I'm liking how this story is turning out. I love this show and Bakugo is my favorite. Till next time.
