Chapter 48
School Festival Planning
Soon they were back to their classes and before they knew it, they were in October. Freya, Kirishima, Izuku, Tsu, Uraraka, and the Big 3 were invited to Nighteyes funeral. It was hard to see. Freya hadn't been to a funeral since her mother died. All Might was there. They got news that the Work Studies were put on hold for now. Freya had hugged Ryuko goodbye with a promise her and Bakugo would meet with her for a lunch on a weekend. Aizawa informed everyone that Eri's fever went down and that they were keeping an eye on her from now and she was limited visitors. It brought a relief to Freya and Izuku that the kid was doing good.
They all sat in the classroom waiting for Aizawa to come in. Freya was sitting on Bakugo's desk. Mina was stretching in the back. Freya was looking through the Heroe's Network on her father's account on her tablet. Bakugo was looking over. There was nothing new on the League of Villains.
"They seemed to have disappeared for now." Freya said. Bakugo growled.
"Running like cowards." Bakugo said.
"They might be waiting their time." Freya said. Bakugo sat with his arms crossed. Freya leaned over and kissed him. He returned it. "Stop worrying. They'll come out of hiding eventually." Bakugo chuckled.
"And we'll be ready." Bakugo said. Freya nodded.
"Hey, guys! C'mere! Check this!" Mina called. Freya jumped off the desk and head over to watch Mina with the others. Mina started moving sideways as the music plays. She flipped in the air and spun on the floor. Freya and the others cheered her on. "I'm a breakdancing queen!" Sero and Hagakure were cheering her on. Freya just smiled.
"Why are you wearing shorts underneath your skirt?" Mineta yelled, running at Mina. Freya put up a forcefield in front of Mineta and he collides with it. Bakugo chuckled as Hagakure started beating his head.
"When will you learn to stop being such a creep?!" Hagakure yelled. Freya came and sat down in her desk. Izuku was taking notes on Mina and thinking of doing dances for hand-to-hand combat.
'Hmm. Maybe I should.' Freya thought.
"Check out the losers." Bakugo said, poking her as she went to look at her tablet. Freya turned to see Izuku and Aoyama dancing like idiots. Freya snorted.
"Least they are trying." Freya said. Kaminari was talking of hobbies and saying how Jiro had a whole room full of stuff for a recording studio. Freya was checking out a news article on the raid her and her friends helped on. Not much was said about Eri. It was being held quiet for now. Aizawa stood in front of them and everyone sat down. Freya shook her head at her father. He was wrapped up in his sleeping bag.
"It's coming. The School Festival." Aizawa said. A lot of people jumped out of their seat in excitement.
"Normal school stuff!" Students yell.
"So awesome." Mineta said, jumping out of his seat.
"Gottaa love this time of year." Sero said.
"We gotta think of something to do." Hagakure said.
"Sounds like a date day for us when we are free." Freya said, smiling at Bakugo. He smirked. Kirishima stood up.
"Hold on, Mr. Aizawa. Are you sure this is okay?" Kirishima asked.
"Hush, Kirishima. Don't you ruin this!" Kaminari said.
"Think about it, though. There are villains everywhere right now!" Kirishima said. Freya felt like he had a point. Aizawa zippers up the sleeping bag. Freya made a mental note to hide it on him.
"You're right. That's a reasonable point. However, there are students here besides those in the hero course. You get the spotlight every year at the sports fest. This is for everyone else. The support course, general studies, and don't forget the business course students. This doesn't get as much attention as the sports fest, but it's still the yearly event they all look forward to. Many of your peers are feeling stressed out by the current conditions here at UA. Especially the dorm system, which had to be adopted because of the hero course." Aizawa explained. Kirishima sat down.
"When you put it like that, guess It'd be unfair to cancel it." Kirishima said.
"Right. So, yeah. It's still on." Aizawa said. Though Freya could tell he didn't look to thrilled about it, but he had no sleep last night. "And hopefully everyone will enjoy it. Though unlike festivals in the past, this year's will only be open to UA students and staff. With a few exceptions." Aizawa said. He sat down in the corner. Freya sighed. He was going to sleep again. "You may not be the focus this time, but your class still needs to participate with some kind of original programming. You need to decide what you want to do today." Aizawa's eyes closed and soon he was snoring. Freya sighed.
"He's out!" Everyone said.
"Katsuki. You and me are hiding that sleeping bag." Freya said.
"Gladly." Bakugo said as Iida and Yaoyorozu took the podium.
"Alright! As class representative, it is my duty to facilitate the process from here! I promise I will do my very best. Let's start! First, we will have a quick brainstorming session! If anyone has an idea, raise your hand!" Iida said. Freya shrunk as people started yelling asking to be called on.
'Goodness.' Freya thought.
"Calm down now! We'll go one at a time, please. Yes! You, Kaminari!" Iida said, pointing at Kaminari.
"A maid cafe!" Kaminari said. He got looks from the girls. "Seriously! Imagine it! Now imagine it again, but with more details. And if you imagine me in the center of the action. Oh yeah. I think we've already got a winner." Freya nearly had to yank Bakugo down from jumping on the guy. Iida was glaring at Kaminari.
"Maids. Is it good to serve others?" Iida asked. Mineta's hand shot up and Bakugo and Freya glared at him.
"That's way to lame!" Mineta yelled.
"Mineta!" Iida called.
"A topless..." Before Bakugo could move. Tsu and Freya were on Mineta with a burlap sack and rope and had him wrapped up and hanging up. Freya tied it to board.
"That should keep him quiet." Freya said. Bakugo chuckled. He was proud of the girls.
"Thank you, Freya. Tsu." Yaoyorozu said as Freya and Tsu went to their seats.
"Nice one." Bakugo said.
"That pervert needed it." Freya said.
"A Mochi shop!" Uraraka said, standing up.
"Celebrating Japanese cuisine!" Iida said.
"An arm-wrestling match." Kirishima said.
"So intense." Iida said.
"A fun house!" Hagakure said.
"I don't know what you mean but sounds interesting." Iida said.
"A creperie!" Seto said.
"That'd be great for eating on the go!" Iida said.
"A coffee booth." Freya said.
"To keep us going. Good one." Iida said.
"Disco." Mina said.
"Sounds invigorating!" Iida said.
"A Hero Quiz!" Izuku said. Freya and Bakugo snorted. Of course, he would suggest that.
"As I expect from you." Iida said.
"The Frong Song in a round." Tsu said.
"How Charming!" Iida said.
"Maybe a petting zoo." Koda said.
"Also, a suggestion!" Iida said.
"Soba stall." Todoroki said.
"It is your favorite." Iida said.
"Fight to the death." Bakugo said. Freya glared at him, but he ignored her.
"Unexpected for a festival." Iida said. Freya kicked Bakugo's chair. He looked at her and nearly gulped. She was glaring at him. He quickly looked away.
"A mad banquet of darkness." Tokoyami said.
"Oh-ho-ho." Iida said.
"A twinkling extravaganza!" Ayoma said. The girls raise their eyebrows at that.
"Huh?" Iida asked, just as confused as the girls.
"Maybe a skit?" Jiro said.
"Possibly." Iida said. Kirishima sent Jiro a look. Freya had been in Jiro's room and had seen her instruments. Jiro even showed her how to play one of them.
"Right. Anybody else?" Iida said. Soon more ideas were shot out. Freya looked at her father and saw he was still snoozing in the corner. Soon all the ideas were on the board. "Okay. I think we've got something from everyone now."
"To begin with, let's cut some. Anything inappropriate, impossible, or confusing." Yaoyorozu said. Soon there were some that were crossed off, making Aoyama gasp.
"So harsh." Tokoyami said. Bakugo already looked bored as he sat looking at the board.
"Why did you even bother asking?" Bakugo growled.
"Who said a local history presentation?" Hagakure asked.
"That sounds super boring." Freya said.
"Definitely." Shoji said. Freya didn't miss Iida twitching as he heard the complaints.
'Of course, he would suggest that.' Freya thought.
"Very well, my classmates have spoken." Iida grumbled.
"And we do group study sessions all the time." Kaminari said, making Yaoyorozu look away.
"Yes, that's true. I guess." Yaoyorozu said. More mumbles were going around.
"This is gonna be hard to figure out." Freya said.
"Your telling me." Bakugo grumbled.
"Quiet down!" Iida yelled. Yells came and Freya worried they would wake Aizawa. Her father got crabby when woken up. Freya was the only one that could wake him without getting a detention or extra work. Iida couldn't seem to get everyone to calm down and then the bell rang. Aizawa seemed to get up and walk to the front, not looking impressed.
"That was a highly unproductive meeting." Aizawa said. He walked to the door. "Decide what you'll do by tomorrow morning. If you don't, we'll go with my idea." Aizawa turned and looked at his class. "An educational lecture." Freya's head thumped onto the desk at his words as the whole class groaned.
"He's joking right?" Sero asked, looking at Freya, who shook her head.
"No. I think he's serious on that." Freya grumbled.
"No way. We'll decide what we're gonna do by tonight!" Kirishima said.
Later that day.
"Freya. Freya!" Freya turned as she was heading for the extra classes for being part of the work studies. It meant they had to miss the planning.
"Hey, Hado. What's up?" Freya asked.
"I was wondering if you would like to do the beauty pageant with us for the Sports Festival. We could work around your class event if you want to be with your class. I asked your father, and he said talk to you first." Hado said. Freya's friends were listening.
"Well. I don't know." Freya said.
"Freya. You should do it. You'll represent our class." Uraraka said.
"And you'll be good at it." Izuku said.
"Yeah." Kirishima said.
"Thanks guys. I guess I will Hado. We are still not sure what we're doing with the Festival yet." Freya said.
"Let me know and we'll work something out. We won't let you miss out on your class event." Hado said with a smile. Freya smiled as Hado walked away.
"That will be awesome for you to do Freya." Izuku said.
"I don't know, but I want to try it." Freya said. They head for their special classes.
